Sea Salt Fish Grill

I have been to this restaurant many times, and It never disappoints. I love a good poke bowl, and this place gives you a filled, fresh, low cost poke bowl. I've been to so many places for poke and this place has the best. My bf loved the chicken sandwich, crispy and juicy. We both enjoy the French fries. I'm surprised this place isn't more busy. I think it might just be the lack of comfortable seating. I think it could use some comfort and warmth, but otherwise, food and service are amazing. Also, must try the catfish!

My family really enjoys eating here. It is reasonably priced and had excellent quality. We like the shrimp poboy and the fried chicken sandwich.

Seasalt Fish Grill is not very good. We will never be back. You order at the counter and you either pick it up or they will bring it to you. We ate there. It is pretty clean, but ever so uncomfortable. All the chairs are metal and that is no enjoyable in any way. They also have take away and delivery. They are not open for dinner. Most of their food is fish. My husband had fish and chips and it made him sick. They took clearly frozen fish, dipped it in batter and cooked the heck out of it, leaving the batter hard and the fish burned in some spots and raw in others, also part of the batter was still raw. He had 2 bites and in the trash it went. He still got sick from it. Now, I know they use frozen fish and that is fine, but you need to let it run under hot water or let it thaw before you batter it. The fries were not good. The cole slaw was okay. I had calamari and it was just awful. It also went into the trash. It was the cheap type large ring calamari and the batter was okay, but the calamari was ever so touch. I needed a knife and fork just to cut it. The service is average.

The single worst meal in recent memory. Fish so overcooked it was unchewable. Also most definitely frozen and not fresh. Brussel sprouts so undercooked they we're unchewable. Entire meal into the garbage, left hungry throughout the day, and lunch hour wasted. Serving fish so grossly overcooked to the point of leather at a restaurant that only serves fish is inexcusable.

OMG, foods were delicious. I ordered their special, fish and chips for only $10. Everything is fresh! I also ordered their ceviche, which is really yummy!

It’d been years since I last visited the restaurant and the sea food is just as delicious as the last time I visited. There are six different seasons from the off the grill menu. I had the salmon with Cajun seasoning with sea salt rice and sea salt slaw. Their sea salt slaw is unique and tasty. Their tacos are a customer favorite. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating. There are high chairs with a neat bar if you want to seat and people watch. You will not disappoint. If you like some spice in your life? I recommend you try the Cajun seasoning.

I have been a regular here for the past year and love the food and service/staff. The poke bowl is really wonderful and Eddie is just great to his customers! I have always been looking for a healthy, clean but tasty bowl and after trying many locations in the area, I found it here. I am always happy to pick up my dinner here!

We tried the fish and chips and ceviche. They were fresh and tasty! We enjoyed the amount of fresh garlic in the garlic Parmesan fries. They have fun, less conventional, soda flavors and I very much enjoyed them and the crunchy pellet ice. We’ll definitely go back.

Came here many times over the past 5 years and it consistently delivers on the quality and freshness of food. It has such a cozy interior, free parking lot on the side. Friendly staff and a flavor forward menu that is not boring. They have fresh seafood poke bar that you can choose from. They also have a variety of alcoholic drinks to choose from and even soju, local breweries etc They started this year a daily special with salmon burritos under $10 and my favorite the fridays $8.99 maui chicken bowl!

Location is across from the Kirk Douglas Theater. Very walkable and convenient. You walk in, you pay at the register, and you sit and wait for your food. The food is not good not tasty not quality. Also they got my main dish wrong. I didn't like any of the other food I ate, including the clam chowder soup. I even tried my friend's burrito and didn't like it. It was edible at best. So when I informed the counter my order was wrong, they offered to remake it. That's normal but I didn't want it remade. The food was bad. They would not return my money, the supervisor guy only offered 'store credit' on another visit. The positive feedback was that the dining room and bathroom were clean. But they essentially stole my $ because I won't be back for my credit. The the churros were bad too because the oil they were fried in smelled rancid/old. Dec 2024

So delicious, no garlic or onion in the Cajun seasoning surprisingly, which was nice because I was attempting low FODMAP. Love the daily specials they have, what a great deal!

I love that they offer free parking for a limited time in the garage alongside have a variety of options and specials on the menu Food is definitely worth a try. Service was pretty good also.

I ordered the fish and chips and a small clam chowder for delivery with one of the food delivery apps. The chowder was delicious and it came with a bag of oyster crackers. The fries were phenomenal and still crispy when I got them. The fries have some sort of seasoning/coating on them which make them even more delicious. The fish was good, mine were a little over fried because the batter had this light burnt taste to it and they were really golden in color. You get three big fish pieces and a lot of fries so a lot of bang for your buck. The fish and chips came with tartar sauce and a shrimp cocktail like sauce. Tartar sauce was really flavorful. The fish and chips also comes with a side of coleslaw. The slaw has some sort of sweet dressing it's not the mayo kind of coleslaw. This side is a nice bite of freshness to balance out the heaviness of the fried fish and fries. The slaw was packaged underneath the fish and chips...as in the coleslaw was placed in a cardboard to go box and then a piece of foil on top with the fish and chips. I would expect the coleslaw to come in its own little container so that was a bit unusual. Not great for delivery since if the box tilted the juices from the slaw would get everywhere but mine arrived unscathed. Overall, good food and priced well!

Had a very bad experience at this place... came in with a party of 10 that they were notified the day before. as our group started to order....45mins later, they finally started to bring the plates out.. I ordered a pokey dish which you think would be simple to make.. after one hour I never receive my food I ask what happened.The cashier that he will refund my money because it would take another 30 minutes to complete my order. I asked for the manager.. no manager on duty.. very poor service would not recommend you

This place was totally a hit in one for seafood and the entrees we had were fantastic. Just coming from a car service in the area I was in The mood for fish and looking at the pictures they had on google maps and I was hooked. The place was nice and small, the service was great. My partner and I got two different dishes and both were amazing! The fish was fresh and flavors of everything were great. The portion size is definitely worth the price that we were able to take some home. Definitely would recommend

Don't sleep on Sea Salt Fish Grill! So many great options, speedy service, fantastic portions, lovely prices and super tasty grub! For real this spot made my day! The California Poke bowl had them flavors that just stick nicely to the tongue and the Cajun Salmon Burrito (Monday's special) had the mondo size and presence to make yea say "yuuuuum". Get over there, you couldn't be disappointed no way no how.

First time visiting with my family, and I was pleasantly surprised. Outside they have their deals posted on A-Frames, and they have multiple menus to look at inside. Everything was made to perfection, anything fried was automatically a 10/10, and the attention to detail was great. Eddie helped us out when we were ordering, making everything seamless and it was greatly appreciated! Will definitely be back!

It may sound like a good deal until you get it. I'm talking about the $7.99 burrito on Wednesday. So I ask for no cabbage and when I opened it, there was probably 75% rice and 15% beans, and you guessed it 10% chicken. Should've just sent it back, but ate what I could and left. And to make matters worse was that I asked to have less rice when I ordered it at the counter.

I am only reviewing the Cioppino, everything else i've had here has been excellent. Ok, to start, the flavor of the base was extremely watered down which was a let down. They also added red potatoes in large chunks, which disintegrated and made the stew grainy, I got it served over fettuccini which made the carb load much too excess with the potatoes. This could have been a good dish, it needs to be reevaluated and I hope hey work on a better base. Other than that, I still live this place and will continue to come here. I was originally going to mark it 3 stars, but I don't think it's fair to ding the overall rating. I will make it 4.

This was a great find in downtown Culver City! I love the sea salt fish grill! It's so delicious to me. So my go to is the grilled fish and sautéed veggies. I've also tried their shrimp and tacos which were good as well. The service is always warm and welcoming and it's always nice inside.

Amazing fish tacos!!!! The sauce they put on these bad boys is phenomenal!!! Always clean and staff is super friendly anytime of the business being open.

I love going to Seasalt Fish Grill when I am in downtown Culver City working from the WeWork. It's a super casual restaurant and there are a lot of healthy choices which IMO is pretty hard to find when you're eating out. I usually get the Salmon plate (off the grill) or the Chimichurri Salmon bowl. The food itself is not special really BUT as mentioned it's healthy! Also, the portions are super generous. I would say the service is pretty standard lol, nothing to write home about but meets the mark for your casual fish grill restaurant for a weekday lunch. Four stars!

This is a Service Shout Out! Ive been coming here often for their $2.22 Taco Tuesday Special. You get a very big piece of freshly fried fish with all the trimmings, slaw salsa and crema. I ate 4 the first time and was StuFFed! I just get two now and it is an incredible value and extremely tasty taco. Today I walked in and a customer was complaining about the wait for his food, (10 minutes!) and apparently asking for a refund. The owner was trying to explain the timing, but customer had a Drs appt and didn't "want to argue". The owner refunded his money, but mentioned it didn't seem fair. Now I didn't hear the whole story, but I was impressed the business did the right thing, even if the customer demanded the wrong thing. He later walked through the dining room , gave a couple smiles and a hello to some regulars. The last time i was here it was Packed at lunch. Sea Salt is doing something right for most of the guests! The fish and chips I saw today looked stellar. Ive had the calamari and its decent. A couple of beers on tap. Its all good. There are several tables inside and out, a few bar seats along floor to ceiling windows, a clean restroom and they bus your table for you. Hip music playing, neon lighting above the menu boards and a display case for the poke and other fresh fish dishes.

Man oh man, this place blew my wife's and my mind! Amazing first experience. Friendly and fast customer service. Cool vibe and interior. Food was amazing! Great taste and portions. Can't wait to return! Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this place for so many reasons. The first is the service, the staff are friendly and helpful with all the menu selections. There are many choices and fusions, there's something for everyone. Including the kids. Fun options like churos, and chicken for those picky kids like mine. My son said write a review mom, this place is 5/5 stars!! And he's 7! There's inside and outdoor seating options, with a big glass door that opens between the areas. Really nice for those sunny days and afternoons. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

I came here for lunch with a co-worker and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of seafood. It wasn't blow your mind tasty, but it was fresh and hit the spot. I think the only reason why I didn't give it 5-stars was due to the price tag. Seemed overpriced for lunch, but I guess it was seafood. If you like seafood and are craving something a little more elevated for lunch, try this place.

absolutely loved our fish tacos and poke bowl! the salmon and fish were both delicious and tasted very fresh. the portions were great and we went crazy with our topping at no additional charge. we got their classic tacos as they were on special for taco Tuesday & I was expecting small street tacos, but these were huge! we were so satisfied:) the service was perfect, very kind and friendly! the place looked very clean and it smelled so good in there! we are not from Culver City but often go that way towards the ocean.. this is our new spot! we love fish! can't wait to try more of that delicious looking menu!

I ordered a delicious lunch from here through Uber eats and was very satisfied. I was craving some fish and chips and got exactly that. The fish came perfectly crisped and well as the fries. Compared to other places, this place seemed to have the best value. My friend also ordered the fish burrito which is humungous! I would definitely order from here again since my food came hot and fresh.

The food is good and they have a good selection. The quality of the fish is the way it's supposed to be. But the ambience is lacking, which is sad.

Was desperately craving some seafood but did not want a whole sit down experience. Sea salt did not disappoint. Fish was perfectly cooked, flavorful. 3.50 draft!? fresh beer too. Owner was around and was very pleasant. Will definitely be adding it to the rotation

Been here many times and the consistency is there. Tried their Salmon burger, fish & chips, chowder, salmon burrito, churros, and southern fried fish. All pretty freaking good. They have some beers on draft but we never seem to eat in as it closes early-ish like 8pm. I'm assuming they get a lot of lunch & Togo business.

Came here for dinner tonight. My family loves seafood I don't Son got the fisherman's catch tons of food Hubby got the cioppino I got the Hawaiian chicken bowl Every this was perfect Service was amazing they even brought out fries for us The restaurant is clean and inviting .

Great food as usual. I was disappointed to find out they discontinued their salsa which makes everything. The food can be kinda bland without their salsas and they should bring it back

Friend and I came on a Saturday to satisfy a seafood craving. One great thing about this place is it doesn't get overly crowded with plenty of seating. It's actually not that big, but the mirrors make it looks very spacious. There is also free parking in the garage. The ceviche here does its job if you're looking for a refreshing way to kick of your meal. We ordered the Southern Fish Fry, which we thought was a great fish and chips entree. We paired it with sweet potato fries. If fish and chips is your thing, this wouldn't disappoint. I also ordered the Mahi Mahi from off the grill menu with the half garlic butter half cajun seasoning. It was the most aromatic seasoning of all the dishes and takes the crown of everything we've ordered. Overall we had a pretty decent meal with lots of leftovers. I ordered plenty of veggies on the side as well.

This place brought back fond memories of Hawaii. Their poke bowl was so fresh and came with abundant toppings. We weren't that hungry and just shared one bowl for two ppl which was enough for us. They also had a lot of flavors to choose from for their Aloha Maid drinks. It was easy to order and they brought the food out to wherever you sat. It was easy, casual and delicious

I was a little surprised that the restaurant closed at 8 as it seems a bit early for dinner. The food itself was not bad! Just nothing out of the ordinary either. They give good enough portions and pricing isn't bad. Maybe I should've gotten one of the fish dishes since that's what they're more known for, but the cioppino was meh. Not bad but not amazing. The garlic fries however are some of the best garlic fries! They give so much fresh chopped garlic. If I came back, I might only get the fries. Parking is easy, they have a structure in the building!

Tuesdays here are my Jam! Favorite: The Fish Tacos! Personally I prefer the Fish Tacos over the burrito here! The batter was super crispy, fish(basa) cooked just right, & the avocado green sauce was refreshingly perfect to accompany the Tacos! What Ive liked so far is the consistency of all the Tacos are the same! Pretty spot on with size/servings w/little variance, so you're always getting their best! Keeping it Simple here, but a place I'm definitely coming more often to for lunch!

i have frequented this place over the past year and have always enjoyed their food. this time i ordered the chicken bowl to try something new, and ended up with a piece of metal wire in my food, i thought it was maybe a piece of chicken bone till i spat it out.

Amazing! Probably the best poke I've ever had. Would highly recommend. $3.50 beers aren't too bad either

I've walked by this spot a few times and finally decided to give it a try. My mistake because their food is just bland and tasteless. I had the Beer battered fish and chips. The fish was fried hard and there's just way too much breading. I had to break the fish in half to get to the meat. The fries were underwhelming as well. Only reason I give it a 2 star because the clam chowder was decent. Still I wouldn't recommend this spot. Perhaps there are other things on the menu that are better but when your most popular item is a dud, I'll pass on the rest.

The poke bowls are where it is AT. Their modular ordering system was initially a little confusing to me, because I'm at a "Chipotle" level of modular ordering (mid). But when I stood for a moment and figured it out, there really are more ways to customize. Also, the parking situation is 10/10.

I usually don't write bad reviews but I'm really disappointed I spent $18 and almost my entire lunch time waiting for them to get my food. I'm so disappointed. I went here for lunch. I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. I think they forgot about my ticket! I waited 40 minutes and still no salad. They were very nice about it but still, they weren't particularly busy. Then I got the salad and the shrimp was incredibly dry and rubbery. And it was $18! Very disappointed. The whole experience just kinda sucked, which is a shame.

Very disappointing! Fish and chips were super soggy and the batter was not cooked through. I would compare it to a corn dog, about 80% batter 20% fish. No crunch, just mushy batter and fish. Clam chowder is all cream! No clams .... I've had better out of a can. Been a customer for 3 years and sad to say I will never order from here again.

1st time back here in awhile... but always good eats whenever I'm out in Culver City... great food, great service and a clean spot with a good vibe. Triple N Chips, Grilled Salmon, and Poke Bowl... my kids love this spot!

My boys love this place!!! Before you go, the parking sucks but the service has always been great! I tried the fish and chips and I feel like the batter was just a bit too thick for me. My son loved the cheese quesadillas and the rice..... he said the rice tasted like a cloud .... Whatever that means lol! The chicken tenders were actually really good, I caught myself eating more of my son's food than he did lol. We also ordered some shrimp and fish tacos which were possibly my favorite items. The main thing I loved about this place was the cute ambiance and the PRICES!!! We bought so much food and only spent like $50! I think I'm gonna try the grilled items next time cuz the fish and chips just didn't do it for me. We'll def go back though!

I had their poke bowl and loved getting to make adjustments and add my own favorite toppings. The fish was fresh and flavorful. It was a great option for a lighter dinner meal! There's a lot of seating inside and it felt clean. Parking is also very easy in the lot right next to it, so that's always a plus!

I was craving some grilled fish and found this place. I ordered a cup of clam chowder and a Grilled Fish Plate with slaw and rice as the sides. The sauce on top of the salmon is half cajun and half butter garlic. The order took about 30 minutes to arrive even at 8pm. The clam chowder was the better of the two. There were nice big chunks of clam in a creamy rich soup. The cup was much bigger than what I was expecting too. The grilled fish plate was disappointing. The rice was too hard, as if it weren't steamed properly. The salmon was rich and flaky but overly seasoned. The slaw didn't really taste like slaw and left a poor aftertaste in my mouth. Overall, I was not satisfied with the grilled fish plate. The clam chowder was incredible though, so I decided to give them a 3/5 instead of 2/5.

We've been getting delivery from here for years. Normally I'd feel dicey about delivery poke, but this place is always amazing. Super fresh, delivery is speedy on their end, and their portions are really great- like, they don't skimp at all on the toppings- tons of edamame, avocado, seaweed salad. Like, it's such a satisfying and consistent experience. My BF gets the southern fried fish, and it's his favorite. Not only does it get here hot and again, super nice fish, but it's a generous serving of everything- and the fries are so piping hot and crispy. Says it's some of the best fish and chips he's ever had (and he's been around the block). Just wanted to give a shout out to this place for being a staple on our lazy nights, and always hitting it out of the park.

Great, fresh seafood. Enjoyed their fish sando and love their ahi tacos! Service was excellent and the vibe is chill. We will be back.

So many good options here! Good quality food at a fair price. Employees are always kind and professional and the restaurant is always clean.

I had grilled salmon with broccoli and fries as sides. With Soju. I thought the fish was undercooked. Or may be one of the other ingredients. Even before I reached home, I was feeling sick to the stomach. Had a painful sleepless night with acute diarrhea. Still weak and will miss work The restaurant came highly recommended . I hope it is a one off mistake. The management and cooks should take note

got delivery from here - was just ok fries were amazing but the burritos were just ok. we got the surf and turf and the classic fish. both were massive (like forearm sized!) but full of a lot of unnecessary stuff. the fish one had multiple bites of just cabbage and rice, both of which lacked seasoning. the fish itself was really good but the burrito would be so much better if there was less superfluous stuff. the 2 salsas(?) it came with were very flavorless and not spicy at all. don't expect a true burrito, more like an american seafood place that also has burritos... which makes sense considering the restaurant!

Food was very very fresh. Not to mention the service from the employees/owner was fantastic. I got the spicy tuna nachos and the portion was enough for two people. The tuna was fresh and the chips were freshly fried. The bowl came with a lot of veggies and tasted really good. Grilled fish tacos were part of the happy hour menu, that was a steal deal. Definitely will be goin back.
