Seabutter has an attractive sushi & roll menu, but what got me in here is their selection of crispy rice options. My favorite item was the crispy rice baked lobster, I loved the crunch to the rice to the warm lobster on top. It comes with two per order, and sadly both pieces did not have the same lobster proportion. The spicy tuna crispy rice was also nice, it had a nice kick to it. But honestly I enjoy the spicy tuna arancini at Fia better.
The presentation of the food was beautiful. The albacore belly sashimi was beautifully placed, like a work of art. Fish was fresh. The rainbow roll and Marlyn Monroll were ok, I liked the Rainbow better likely out of preference with the rice in the roll, as Marlyn Monroll has no rice (hence the low carb). I do wish there was more sauce on the Monroll.
I got two orders of the salmon medley. Again, the size of the fish was different, where one cut was slightly bigger than the other, but the taste was delicious. I don't think I've seen a salmon medley on other restaurant menus before, so as a salmon fan, this was a nice find.
I ordered green tea. I was slightly surprised that they gave me tea in a tea bag, as usually at Japanese restaurants they serve you tea from a pot, so I found that a bit odd. So when I asked for a second cup of tea I just got hot water and I moved my tea bag to the hot water. It was obviously a much lighter version of my tea, but I could still taste it.
Also, good to note that the sushi chefs were all Japanese :)
