Yelp
We must concur with the average of our Yelper colleagues... Seafood and Spaghetti Works is, on average, an almost 4-star restaurant. We went on a weekend night, off season, and the food was just good.
Kind of what you'd expect from a seafood/Italian restaurant in a tourist area on the Texas coast. Generally good food but overpriced. For the buck, as they say, there are better up-scale options on the island!
We started with cocktails, a margherita and grapefruit martini, both good and came out quick. The cr3ab cake appetizer was good, mostly crab, little filler, but the sauce that was served with it was a bit sweet.
Continuing on the "a bit too sweet" theme... we had the chicken chili soup next, which was surprisingly sweet. We asked our waitress about it, and she came back and explained they use creamed corn in the recipe, not simple corn. The soup was too sweet...
For entrees we had the fresh fish special, red snapper, blackened, and the scallop and shrimp pasta. Both dishes were good, seasoning on point, the pasta was a nice al dente, and the butter/garlic ratio was good.
We inquired about dessert, and most of the dessert options had "cheesecake" in the description, so we decided to stop at the store and grab some Blue Bell on the way home. That ended the night on a real up note! LOL
