Best Anticipated New York Restaurant Openings in 2025 | Eater NY

"Part of a major revamp of the W Hotel after Marriott’s acquisition, the 120-seat seafood project from John McDonald of Mercer Street Hospitality will feature Paul Hargrove as chef (formerly at Blue Hill at Stone Barns for four years) and collaboration with Patrick Shaw‑Kitch, who worked with Hargrove at Stone Barns and is opening Brooklyn Granary & Mill in Gowanus. Rockwell Group designed the space, which will include a lobby bar and rooftop bar." - Nadia Chaudhury

Where did my old review go? Anyway, great place to take semiprivate lessons. My boy wasn't improving in larger groups classes and only got over fear of deep water when he came here. The price for Manhattan is very good, and the teachers have all been professional, and they learn using the whole 25 yards. The pool and facilities are not new, but it's well taken care of.

It's a little smelly and I'm not too sure how clean the water is, though it passes all technical tests it sometimes seems a little smoggy to me. But hey, it's the only indoor pool in the neighborhood and isn't prohibitively expensive. So I'm all in. The owner (manager? whatever) is nice and accommodating. That's my review for free swim, but as far as instruction I had lessons for my kids for about a month one summer and the instructors were GREAT.

Both my boys have swam at Seahorse since they were 8 and both are teenagers now. They are still swimming there presently. We have no issues with cleanliness or Tommy the owner. Thousands of kids have gone done through Seahorse and Tommy and I have not heard one complaint about roaches or cleanliness. The success of a program is whether it instills a love of activity of they are doing. I can affirmative state that both my boys enjoy swimming and attending Seahorse. Seahorse and Tommy provides an invaluable service to its lower east side community, by providing affordable and accessible lessons to those that might not otherwise afford it.

I took an instructor first aid course with Jake. He was extremely respectful, helpful and gave positive and constructive feedback. It’s evident that he wants the best representation of the material while compliance is adhered to.

Miss Athena is the BEST SWIMMING INSTRUCTOR ever!!! My Kids learned how to swim without flotation device help within weeks. IT's a life skill I could never teach I am so happy we found her. Great energy!! Tommy the owner is great he really cares about the students!!

The pool is actually a decent pool to practice in, but watch out for the roaches in the locker room! If you don't want to deal with the rude and unprofessional director, Tommy Ho, find another pool. I don't mind that I paid $200 for the use of the pool on 8 visits only ($200 per month, but only limited to 8 visits, not monthly use) However, due to July 4th weekend being closed, he wanted me to pay $200 for 7 visits. Not sure what I owe?

The people who work there are clueless . But I appreciate the program they allowed there. Elaborate: when I first arrived I asked the woman in the office a clear questions in regards to a program that would be in the building I was appalled at how clueless she was. She had no idea what was happening in the building . If first experience was unclear then a following day I asked her instructions she was just so confused. I just find it hard to send my child to a place where the facility staff is lost in the sauce . I'm grateful for the program like blue fish plus pool because the safe of this program is amazing nd clear where i feel confident leaving my child .

Tommy and his staff are great. Prices reasonable. Louis and others are great teachers with a firm but warm approach, really beneficial for kids learning to swim.
