Seamore's Upper East Side

I have eaten here twice for dinner and have not been impressed with the food. I had the trout with spaghetti squash and asparagus ($32 + tax). One of my favorite fishes is trout, but I found that their preparation of it did not result in a pleasing main course. The next time I ate there I had the salmon (pictured) with two vegetables ($32 + tax). I ordered the salmon to be cooked medium rare, but they sent it out medium. It had little flavor.

Delicious food and really wonderful staff. The clam chowder is amazing, and the fish sandwich is too. They actually cut the fish sandwich in half for me and my mom so that we could both enjoy along with our chowders! We’ll be back!

We really enjoyed the crispy rice with tuna, and the oysters were fresh and delicious. The Moscow mule was really good, but since it was $18 we didn't get a second round of drinks. My glass of cava for $13 was perfect. Would definitely recommend!

Incredible shrimp tacos - flavor of was incredible. Fish and Chips are crispy and perfect. The burger was a great option for those who don’t like fish. Bottomless was fantastic choice - 90 minutes is enough to finish at least 9 drinks if you’re brave. Cindy is a great server - ask for her specifically!

When I tell you this has to be on eof the best meals I've had in a restaurant this year, and trust me, I go a few, I mean it. The catfish was mouthwatering the roasted veggies delicious, down to the sauce and the churro ice cream sandwich! I was in LOVE, paired with friendly service, and a very fun and light ambiance, this is a visit you won't regret!!!

We went for brunch, I highly recommend the eggs Benedict with lobster. The taste was really good, I would have preferred the muffins to be a bit more toasted to avoid them becoming too soggy. I would definitely order this dish again though. The firecracker cauliflower was incredible. A must have for appetizers here. It is a very small appetizer to share with more than 4 people. The New England clam chowder was perfect. The shrimp and grits were good, although other dishes were better. The dessert was churros with dulce de leche ice cream, everyone loved this one too. The service gets a 5 star rating. They were very accommodating with requests and seating. The place is baby friendly, they have enough space to accommodate strollers. We never had to wait long for servers. The price is fair. Really happy with coming here, we will definitely return.

The restaurant design is super cute with different setups to offer. It's packed. Our meals are all delicious except my fish and chip unfortunately. My fish breading wasn't crispy but soft and wet. I didn't know what happened that day. However, service was excellent. Lobster Benedict was delicious though. I will go back to try other things.

We went with friends for dinner and did not have great expectations given other reviews except for the attractive decor as seen from the street. We started with wine which for around $16-18 a glass for a Pinot, etc. was quite outrageous; especially since the vintage was nothing out of the ordinary. No bread was brought to the table which for a higher priced restaurant should be immediate at dinner. We started with a very good salad which was of ample size to split for two. As a main course, I had a very fresh tasting and perfectly prepared fluke ( part of their daily combo specials) which has sides included. My wife had the grilled shrimp which were good but for the price, the portion should have been double the size. It came with no side dishes other than on a blanket of rice. Our friends had a decent seafood and pasta dish which they thought good but not great after starting with a raw oyster appetizer. All in all, a good meal in a nice setting with good service. I would give it four stars but for the very high pricing and modest portions in the nautical/ casual restaurant setting.

I've been here a few times as it's in the neighborhood and I love their salads, but I popped in when they opened the other day and ate alone (I was literally the first and only person there at 12:01) and when I ordered my server gave me a stare and said "that's it?" I just ordered one of their salads. I said yes and rolled her eyes and huffingly snapped up the menu from my table. Just kind of weird, not sure what she meant or how at all I was being a bother?

Was catching up with some friends after work and we decided to do seafood. The server told us that we were very lucky because we got seated right away because it was the holiday season, but usually they are really packed during that time. We tried a bunch of things which I can't remember now... the oysters were great, and all the food we tried was quite good too, I don't recall any dish that we didn't like. I had a pasta dish that I wiped my plate clean of.

Came back here without a reservation with no trouble. Tried a couple of new things: Shaved Brussels and fennel salad: nice mix of vegetables but they added a bit too much vinaigrette for my liking. I'd ask for it on the side next time. Beer battered fish sandwich: they use hake, and this was nice including the bread itself. Got a side of sweet potato fries, which were still as good as before although not as hot. Fontina scramble: it looked pretty plain but it was deceptively good. The eggs were perfectly cooked and fluffy with enough flavor from the cheese and butter.

No air conditioning on Sunday eve made it hotter inside than out. The crispy rice was hard as a rock with flavorless fish on top. The place was almost completely empty and now I know why. Just a bad experience across the board.

I cannot express how much I love this place. From the service, the delicious food, the tasty drinks, and amazing staff...this place is a "chef's kiss." My partner and I have become regulars and have been welcomed here on many occasions. Angie and Esther are sooooo nice and they make our pop-ins so much more enjoyable. Thank you for the awesome service; I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a good time.

Seasoned is great, I order from here every Friday during Lent. It's easy to make reservation on their website and the pickup time is pretty on point. They also have a happy hour. Love the lobster Mac n cheese, fish and chips, and the fish tacos.

Stumbled into this joint after the MET. Quite delicious but the service is a bit slow. Over all recommended.

We went during brunch. We got the shrimp tacos and the guacamole, the food was great and the staff is so friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back!

Guacamole and entrees were stupendous! When we weren't thrilled with one dessert option Vinny replaced it with another happily, which was very nice of him. Sitting at the bar was a great way to relax after a day of walking in Central Park. Thanks, Seamores and Vinny!

A welcomed addition to the ues. This restaurant is so cute, great service and delicious food. So happy to have walked past it and stopped in for brunch.

We went for Sunday Brunch at this seafood restaurant in the Upper East Side of NYC. I had the Lobster Benedict $28 with hash browns. You have the option of the side salad. It was delicious with a nice amount of lobster. The atmosphere is bright and inviting. We sat just inside at the open window with nice views. The service was great.

Great service, efficient, pleasant. Only has the corn and cantaloupe gazpacho soup as they were out of the ceviche. It had turmeric, cilantro, white soy and pickled garlic a combo you don't see everyday! My prickly pear margarita with a celery salt and pep rim was everything.

Ok food, great French fries! One of the best French fires I've had and I am a French fry expert ahaha The rest was just ok, maybe I have to come some other time and try different types dishes in order to change my mind.

This is my new favorite spots for happy hour. They have a nice selection of beer, wine and cocktails available. On a Friday night, it was easy to get a seat at the bar or a table for dinner. Very attentive bartender and great service. I've been for dinner once, and thoroughly enjoyed their fish tacos. Looking forward to trying brunch here.

I've been to the Seamore's in Chelsea and have been wanting to visit this location. I remember there used to be a steakhouse here and the space has been completely re-done and really has a nice, beachy, casual feel. It's really a beautiful space. I will say all the hard surfaces make it super loud...we were there early when it wasn't too crowded and could hear each other but by the time we left it was full and even sitting directly across from each other, we couldn't hear a word either of us said so keep that in mind. Service was nice, although a little leisurely. We started with shrimp cocktails and a couple of old fashioneds. The drinks were very good. The shrimp cocktail was okay but not as good as I've had at Mermaid Inn or The Smith. The shrimp were a little shriveled and scrawny in comparison. It was $20 for six shrimp, which isn't too bad. I had the lobster roll ($34) which was pretty good and had a nice portion of lobster on it. My husband had crispy shrimp tacos ($26) , which he really enjoyed. He also got a side order of french fries, which I felt was pricey at $10. Fries came with my lobster roll and I will say they were delicious. We considered dessert but they only had a few offerings and nothing really jumped out at us although the couple next to us had the churro ice cream sandwich and they enjoyed it. The bill came to $160+ and with tip is was just under $200. I guess for the Upper East Side that's not too bad, and I'm sure the rent there is high since there are a lot of empty storefronts in the neighborhood, but dropping $100 per person on a meal that was "fine" but not exceptional just doesn't do it for me. Overall, nice place and if it was 20-30% less expensive or if the food was really great, I'd put it in the rotation, but at this price point and for this quality, it's just not for me. But then again, I live on the west side, so what do I know!

We love Seamore's!! Such a great addition to the UES. We needed a good seafood restaurant since Fulton closed many years back. So far we have gone twice and loved it. We have eaten at the Chelsea location several times. We had: - Lobster Mac n Cheese - my kids loved it! - Tuna - delicious! - Fish Tacos - so good! - Shrimp Nachos - doesn't sound like it would work, but it does - Chips and Guacamole - very good - Lobster Roll - very good - Tuna Poke - So good! The service is amazing, love the serving staff and the cocktails are delish! We will be back!

Summary: The service was great, the food and drinks were delicious, but I really can't get past the portion size. Reserved in advance - Came here with 2 friends who live in the area for dinner on a weeknight. The inside is loud but cute and it wasn't too loud seated in the corner near the window. It looks like there are some small tables outside, which I normally would prefer but it was a cool night for this time of year. I love the fish drawings/descriptions on the chalkboard, it helps making a decision before deciding on one of the daily catch selections. The cocktails are pretty pricey but taste good. The appetizers are not that big of a portion - we had to order 2 (fried calamari, buffalo cauliflower) because 1 wouldn't have been enough for 3 of us. I like that the Reel Deal comes with several different vegetables and choice of sauce to go with the fish. I chose the curry and the lemongrass. The curry was delicious and had some good heat to it but would have completely overpowered the fish. I ate that with the vegetables and had the lemongrass with the fish. The downside is the portion size of the fish for the Reel Deal. The tilefish was delicious but you only get a (5 ounce?) filet, no matter which fish you choose. For the price I expect a whole medium-sized fish. (I understand tilefish are large and I wouldn't get a whole tilefish but as an example, I expect a whole branzino for the price.) I don't think I would come back, and if I did I would try something else. Shame since fish is usually my go-to. There are plenty of places where I could go for a much larger portion of fish, or a whole bronzino.

A solid casual seafood spot in the upper east side! Loved their shaved brussel and fennel salad and their skate piccata.

While I would come back I was slightly underwhelmed by meal here (lobster roll). I think I would try something else next time. It has a great beachy and summery vibe for summer though.

My review will echo many Yelper comments: Very good food BUT pricey considering the small portion size. My REEL DEAL entrée featured six, miniature scallops with red curry sauce on the side - accompanied by excellent cauliflower mash, cured eggplant + roasted tomatoes, caper tapenade green beans/Option #1. My son opted for LOBSTER MAC + CHEESE: Maine lobster, rigatoni, three cheese, breadcrumbs, chives. His verdict: "Good but a bit dry." Both entrees priced @ $34 each.

I picked up the fish tacos from here through meal pal and they were great. The dish is normally $18 but the portion was actually pretty large. The fish was good, but I wish it was larger pieces of whole fish rather than small pieces. The sauce that comes on top is also good, but I wish there was more. I would come back to try other things on the menu.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Came here for my best friends bday brunch. Deff going to come back. Everything tasted SO FREAKING YUMMY

A friend and I stopped in on a Tuesday night, for my birthday celebration and girls' night. It was pretty packed! I had the lobster Mac and cheese and my friend had the mussels. We shared a watermelon/tomato salad. The salad was okay (3 out of 5). It was fairly bland. The tomatoes over powered the dish. Additionally, there was hardly any watermelon or other flavors to balance the dish. The 3 cheese lobster macaroni and cheese dish was great! (5 out of 5). It had a sufficient amount of lobster and great flavor profile. My friend didn't really make a comment about her mussels...so am not sure. We both had wine to pair with our meals. Price was moderate, and the total came to approx $160 for both of us (pre-tip). Service was slow, and we often had to ask other staff to find our waiter, so we can order extra food items or drinks. I give it 3.8 out of 5.

Friend goes here with her bf all the time and swears to this place. We went here for a girls night one day for a few drinks at the bar. Things were going well. We got our wine, got some food so we weren't getting too drunk, met a couple with the cutest baby and thought the night was going to be a nice and carefree night. Then, things went south. We were going to get a shot of tequila and head out to our next location, but the bartender told us in a rude manner that he was cutting us off. None of us were being sloppy what so ever so we were not sure what happened. We asked for a reason and none was given. We asked for the manager and he never came. We just paid our tab and left. I will not be going here again because I do not like how things were handled. I am all about and appreciate bartenders cutting me off if I am too drunk since safety comes first, but this was just not that. I always say it is not the situation/issue that makes things go sour, it is how it is handled and they did a very poor job. No thank you, next!

I gave two stars because the staff is so lovely. I have been there twice before and food was delicious. Last night, . the vegetables were ice cold and soaked in vinegar. the salmon was pretty tasteless. They used to offer dinner bowls that were delicious but I didn't see them on the menu. it's a shame. I was there in July and it's amazing how much the quality of the food and choices has dropped.

I had a very good dinner here, some Wednesday night ago. The dining area was bustling with people and conversation. For dinner we ordered the Seamore's sushi " SPICY YELLOWFIN TUNA," with pickled chili and bonito flakes, "THE REEL DEAL" simply grilled fish over sauteed swiss chard with sofrito, rutabaga parsnip mash + chia-nut crumble, quinoa + black rice with mushrooms with porgy and their fish and chips dish. Everything was delicious. The fish were fresh, flavorful and light. The accompaniments were just as good too. Service was fast and friendly. Don't skip dessert!

The place is amazing and the food is great. Yohana our server made our experience even better giving suggestions that better fit our likes. The whole environment is like a ship and the dimmed lights and good music are a plus. This is definitely a place you need to come visit.

It was Established in 2022. It was started by Michael Chernow and Jay Wainwright in 2015 on the corner of Broome and Mulberry. It has healthy plates, beach vibes, affordable local seafood, and sustainability. Seamore's UES then came onto the map in 2022. They try to make fresh, local fish more accessible to New Yorkers and sustainability more accessible to everyone. I came here to meet friends for a drink and then some other friends for dinner. They let us settle up our bar tab and keep the same tables - that was a plus. They have a nice selection of beer, wine and drinks - and that was a plus too. Regarding the food, I had high hopes- we ordered firecracker cauliflower-cauliflower tempura sweet chili aioli with sesame seeds- this was very good. We had a few different items lobster mac and cheese (Lobster, rigatoni three cheese, breadcrumbs and chives), fish and chips (tartar sauce, malt vinegar, pickled veggies).I originally the daily catch and I had to send it back. It was inedible. I was so disappointed. Esther, the General Manager did make it right and swapped it out without an issue but I really wanted the fish of the day! I ended up with a lobster roll (mayo, celebry, old bay, cole slaw, salad). I know there are locations all over the city, so I hope they get it together a bit better with their fish dishes (since that's what I came here for).

Ok food - not worth the constant late delivery. My company will no longer be ordering firm lunches going forward.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times and enjoyed it. HOWEVER....less great for delivery. I have NEVER had tacos delivered from anywhere with less in them, at any price... As little as possible and fairly tastless. REALLY DISAPPOINTED

Absolutely delicious!! We came here for dinner with my boss & coworker on a Tuesday night. The place was pretty empty but quickly filled up through the night. Our appetizers were watermelon+tomato salad, raw oysters, and guac & chips. Watermelon salad was refreshing, raw oysters were very fresh, but could do without the guac & chips (good but average). Coworker had the grilled shrimp tacos, i had reel deal with scallops, and my boss had a reel deal special. I've got to say everything was very well prepared. I highly recommend the reel deal special for their various veggie sides - corn, tomato salad, cauliflower mash, and asparagus, which left me full but not overly stuffed. We even had room for a cinamon churro ice cream. Perfect way to end a busy work night!

I had a lovely dinner outside on a warm evening. The seared fish tacos with a side of corn polenta was a winning combo.

Nice experience, first time trying seamores, I just thought some dishes weren't worth the price. The best dish I would go back for is the lobster Mac & cheese, it's delicious! The appetizers were a bit underwhelming and bland and the scallop with gluten free pasta was okay. Just was expecting a bit more flavor in some dishes for the price.

We have been fans of Seamore's restaurants and we're thrilled when they opened up their newest location on the Upper East Side on Third Avenue. We love everything about their menu and with their comfortable outdoor as well as indoor seating dining areas, you will definitely find the best environment for your eating pleasure!

We truly enjoy our visit here every time. The food and drinks are great fit well for the price. For Easter brunch, we got- Buffalo shrimp- the flavor is interesting with more sour taste and a tiny bit of spiciness, goes pretty well with the herb ranch dressing. My child really likes it. Baja seared fish taco- who doesn't like fish taco with high quality fish? When we crave for fish tacos, this is the place to go. Lobster Benedict- it was standard, I am not too impressed but it also wasn't bad. The bread in the bottom is toasted nicely. Lobster is a bit too dry and the size of the pieces were too small - not reflecting it's price compared to the lobster rolls. Gingersnap pancakes- it's too sweet for us. Vanilla honey butter was the highlight. Easter mimosa was decorated with a piece of yellow peeps that my child dipped in her Shirley Temple to finish it quickly. It was a cute spot light caught all of our eyes!

Dead in the water. Seamore's had great potential, and the UES really needed a seafood restaurant, but somehow, from the day of its much-anticipated opening until now, Seamore's has been sinking with no one attempting to plug the holes. Always oversalted dishes, poor-quality ingredients, a lobster roll with minimal lobster; bland fish tacos; and a service team that couldn't care less...I haven't had a good meal here, as many times as I've tried. Even a drink at the bar is insufferable. What sort of management team allows for such a poorly-trained staff and seemingly untalented chefs in the kitchen? A team that's already jumped ship I suppose.

This is an updated review. Having been here several times, I now feel the portion size doesn't justify the prices. I walked out hungry; the fish portion was ridiculously small. The atmosphere is pleasant & the service is excellent. However, I go to restaurants to eat & this left me dissatisfied.

Got the lobster roll and fish and chips for takeout. The lobster was too salty and the sauce was quite watery. Thought the fish and chips were OK. A decent amount of fish but it only came with ketchup for the fries and no other sauce, which I think would've made the fish and chips better. Overall pretty expensive. Will need to try the food in person - perhaps it's much better.

Seamores is excellent! The crispy rice is some of the best I've had and I've had A LOT. I've enjoyed the tacos, the daily specials, oysters, etc and they have never disappointed :)

The food was okay. Had the Maine lobster roll with Cucumber Elite Martini. The Martini was good but very small for $18.

Nice fresh seafood place with a buzzing vibe. We hung out at the bar for a couple of cocktails first and the nice weather meant the doors to outside were open. For food we ordered the ceviche, and then tuna steak and fish tacos. Everything came very well presented, well plated and with nice colours etc. The ceviche was tasty but we only had like 3 tiny bits of fish, it was mainly some mashed sweet potato base (mentioned this to the waitress politely and she did fix it). The tuna was very tasty and comes with sauce such as chimmichurri or red curry which was delicious. My fish tacos were ok but I was hoping for a bit more zip. Place is nice, good space and decor and ambience.

I've been to Seamore's several times with my family--the staff is always so kind and accommodating, particularly when it comes to children. The food is amazing too!

Was told by the host the only seating available for 1 was at the bar... meanwhile plenty of tables were open... rather frustrating if you ask me. The service is quick!! Food & drinks were out in under ten minutes. The food had great potential but they overworked the poke with too many peanuts. The ambiance is great. The place has great potential they just need to adjust accordingly.

I believe Seamores is owned by one of the guys that started the meatball shop. Not sure how I remember that but I do. Figured to try it since I have been to the one downtown and it was decent. It is a seafood place and the good thing was it didn't smell like fish in there. Some places are bad with that but not here. I ate the salmon burger with sweet potato fries. It had good flavor and the burger stayed together well. They had a sauce on there that complimented it nicely so I didn't have to dip it in anything else. They also did a lunch special for $30 for restaurant week. Didn't get that but cool to see. I liked it here. Its a touch overpriced but thats what you have to do to survive in the Upper East Side. Not an everyday place for me.

Sorry i cant even give any stars, i'm tired of coming here to wait for oysters for a short lunch during i work and i dont get a refund or atleast the lunch... atleast the oysters, sheesh. Very nice staff though, when ordered to. If you get me? Also i always eat here alone, nobody would notice you anyway. Except this one staff and crew that does care, the ones who serves your plate and the cleaners. They care more about you showing up than the own employees. Just being honest, righteously!

The food taste is just another thing. Everything is cooked to perfection, right temperature and quick service. Big shout out to Joana, our server and Derek to for being absolutely nice and attentive. The ambience is great, good music and lighting. I would return many times. 100% recommended.

I'd told the staff at Seamore's on the UES that I was going to give them only 3 stars however I'm giving them 4. Let me explain. It's a great neighborhood dining spot, especially if you like seafood. Tonight I sat at the bar with Sergio as the bartender. Nice guy with good service. I ordered a glass of wine and shrimp tacos. I walked 25 blocks to get Baja shrimp tacos. Their shrimp tacos have a salsa verde, though the fish tacos have a chipotle mayo, which is a typical sauce for Baja shrimp tacos. When I've dined at their Chelsea location, I asked to substitute the salsa verde for the chipotle mayo on the side. A simple request and never a problem. Tonight the kitchen told Sergio they would not do this. All I was asking for was a side cup of chipotle mayo. Seriously?? Obviously the kitchen staff was more concerned with making themselves happy vs. making their customers customers happy. A hospitality fail! I told Sergio that I'd have the fish tacos instead as I love the chipotle mayo. It's not what I walked 25 blocks to eat, but I'd do that. He went back to the kitchen, and convinced them to give me a side of chipotle with my shrimp tacos. Though when my meal came, it was fish tacos with chipotle mayo on the side. The kitchen did no favors as the fish tacos come with chipotle may standard. WTF. I ate the fish tacos and they were great. I loved the kale side salad as well. I told Sergio I'd like to talk to the manager before I left and he introduced me to Esther, the restaurant manager. She offered to comp my dinner, which is not want I wanted. We talked about how and why a chef in the kitchen was self-authorized to control the customer experience. Not a good precedence for a neighborhood restaurant. If this was a Michelin 4 or 5 star restaurant, sure. Esther was very kind, apologized, explained how this has never happened before and again offered to purchase my meal, which I did not accept. Overall the fish tacos and salad were great. The fish was fresh and well prepared. Sergio was very accommodating and provided great service. It really bothers me when someone in a business loses sight of who is ultimately paying the salaries and the importance of ensuring customers are satisfied with simple requests. I've run sales organizations most of my life. Happy customers = loyal customers. All restaurant managers should read Danny Meyers books and share the philosophy with their entire staff. He understands the importance of outstanding service in the hospitality industry! I believe I made enough of a stink over this that this will not happen again at Seamore's UES. I'll be back to test the waters again!
