Recently attended the Kehinde Wiley exhibit and found this lovely space. The staff were helpful, kind & gracious. Cool space to visit.

Photographer Candida Höfer shot a lot of fancy architecture photos which were the perfect reference for my 3D modeling practices ( ̀⌄ ́) It was a very worthwhile gallery visit (´▽｀)

Great space featuring artists whose work is usually worth checking out. Staff isn't overbearing even when place is empty. Helpful if asking questions. Nice gallery to keep visiting periodically (of course depending if one likes the artist/s work on display).

How disappointing. wandered in here with with my fiancé to look at artwork. I was semi-greeted by the front desk and then I believe in a woman name Rebecca came to help as we asked a few questions. We inquired about a few pieces and the team promised to follow up with us. They never did. It’s disappointing but also pretty obvious why there is a diversity gap and who owns art. Wow many of their artist presented in the galleries are black I see that they don’t want that consumption to align. In addition, I found The woman who helped us to be quite snobby. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking to purchase art and feel comfortable doing so. They are way too pretentious and clearly did not follow up. My heart goes out to the artist who in trust a gallery with their beautiful pieces Who is not diligently handling them with care or treating future collectors respectively.

I visited for Alec Soth's talk and book signing. Although the gallery is good, they have to fix the acoustics. There were issues understanding the speaker, due to echo issues

Great talk by Alec Soth on his photography. So, great curation, though the place could definitely consider a better seating and lineup arrangement given the number of people who show up.

Great program, great space, and a great staff, especially Sean and his partner Cecile. In today's art world, which is full of knuckle heads, this place is a real gem.

Upscale contemporary art gallery. This one is located in midtown on 10th avenue (they have a Los Angeles location as well). Large, airy. As with most other galleries, free. They have some lesser known artists, but most of their exhibitions seem to be from bigger names. I visited for the colorful, powerful, larger than life (literally, with 10-12 foot plus paintings) Kehinde Wiley expose. If you need a refresher, one of his career highlights was painting Barack Obama's presidential portrait. They represent and present a broad range of artists with eclectic styles. I recommend checking in periodically to see if there is anything to interest you.

Great exhibit! Huge area with plenty of space to walk around and enjoy the art on your own. There's a nice downstairs area that has a video associated with the art and the room is decorated with beanies and benches with plenty of space to immerse yourself. I've gone a few times and really enjoyed the curated art showcasing phenomenal artists.

Very nice exhibit currently featuring some work by Antony Gormley! Free entrance; just walk in and say hi. There's some brief handouts at the front desk, but the staff are unobtrusive while you explore the two levels of art. I was inspired to check this one out thanks to the new SFMOMA showing off one of Gormley's pieces. This one here is dedicated soley to the artist while the exhibit runs. Nice stop before hopping on the High Line. :)

From October 26 through December 1 (2007), Sean Kelly hosted sculptures and an installation by the British artist Antony Gormley. Gormley's pieces deal with the human body and its relationship to both physical and social space. Blind Light II, an installation piece comprised of a glass box, fog, and overhead lights, was an intense experience and I loved the fact that the gallery made this accessible.

Beautiful gallery! Went there recently for the Kehinde Wiley art opening which was amazing!
