"A GoFundMe page has been set up for the victims of a violent assault that left two dead and one critically injured in a Brooklyn Chinese restaurant earlier this month. A man carrying a hammer entered the Seaport Buffet in Sheepshead Bay on January 15 and hit three restaurant workers on the head with the weapon, killing chef Fufai Pun on the spot." - Carla Vianna

The hostess and waiters were all really nice and pleasant. Clean inside and all the food tastes fresh and well made. My favorites were the fried scallops, fried chicken is seriously good too there, the teriyaki chicken was amazing and had some of the skin left on it so really flavorful, and even the fresh made sushi was a treat. Kinda forgot that there was an apple pie thing too. For a dessert I highly recommend the tiramisu and frozen yogurt. If you're able to, and im definitely trying this out next visit, get a soup bowl and scoop that apple pie into it, then cover with frozen yogurt. That is gonna be amazing.

I was here today for lunch honestly it was not a good experience the food selection was small and the food was not hot it was warm at best I was interested in tasting the clam chowder and it was not good!! And while we were eating the waitress kept trying to give us the check and we had to tell her we are still eating. After we finished we payed for our food and we gave a decent tip and the lady made a face and talked with her co worker about the tip being bad! We won’t be coming here again!!

Today I visited this place for the first time, but unfortunately, it didn’t impress me. The buffet selection was small, and the food tasted okay, but it could have been better. I really did NOT like the tall, rude waiter who was nervous and blatantly tried to pressure me for a tip! After such treatment, of course, I didn’t leave him anything. Then he kept staring at me for a long time together with other staff members, and they were discussing something. That was extremely inappropriate on their part! Because of this, I cannot recommend this restaurant or buffet to anyone.

Google
3 out of 5 stars I visited Seaport Buffet in Brooklyn with my family. It’s an Asian all-you-can-eat buffet, and while I enjoyed the food that was available, I felt the variety and consistency were lacking. Throughout our hour and a half visit, several of my favorite dishes—especially the crab legs—were either empty or frequently out of stock. The trays weren’t replenished consistently, which was disappointing for a buffet experience. On the plus side, the establishment was very clean, and the staff were attentive and polite. I just wish the food selection had been better maintained during our vis

The place was clean, had soft music playing, the staff was nice. The food wasn't great for the price. The place was boring to say it simply.

Google
The food are so good nothing to complain about them all. But, some of the waiter must let the customers choose what they can/ wanna gives as tips for, after paying for the food. You don't know how much they have left. I am not talking about $1,2 ,3 ect tips. But, you can't choose to ask a tips that cost more than the food the person came to eat at the buffet.👍🙏👍🎉🎊

Google
I used to enjoy visiting this place because the food has always been delicious and up to the highest standards. However, my last visit left a bad impression due to extremely rude service. The waitress was unfriendly, spoke harshly, and made it feel like we were inconveniencing her. Unfortunately, even great food can’t make up for such poor customer service. I don’t plan on coming back.

There is seating time limit - see photos. Is there a wide selection? Yes. Wide selection of eww disgusting. Mate threw up after just a couple plates of food. Beware when you mix so much bleh gag all at once. Mystery meat. Customers acting like hyenas while crowding around and waiting for the crab leg refill. Manager made us pay upfront and tricked us into paying extra for unlimited old/watered-down soda. Sushi pretty sad. They installed glass so reflections make it seem like there is more square footage and food than there really is. Employees stand around on guard, hawking/surveilling customers like CCP operatives.

Yelp
Do not come here. Limited food and most disturbingly, I got food poisoning. I am sick till today I ate here yesterday lunch. Thre up at 8 pm. Stomach pains. I am a clean eater and dont ever eat outside food for 6 months now. Service was ok. Good to knkw they are aware but i feel uncomforably watched as i ate. Will not be coming here again and if you chose to be careful with their seafood and chicken.

Yelp
If you love seafood, this is the place! Shellfish galore. They have big clams, small clams, black mussels, green lipped mussels, crawfish, crab, shrimp, etc. Good food, I would go back!

Yelp
I try not to shy away from low rated Chinese buffets because I don't have a ton of expectations as long as the flavors are there and the food is fresh. That being said, Seaport is a pretty decent choice with plenty of options. There are a good variety of seafood (clams, mussels, crab legs, crawfish, shrimp) and all the food my family of 6 had tasted good. My four boys (ages ranging from 1-11) had about 3 plates each. The fried rice, chicken wings, lo mein and green mussels were tasty enough that my kids kept asking for more. They also had chicken nuggets, tiny personal pizzas and French fries that were part of their dishes. My 3 year old also had a salad I fixed for him from the salad bar and the sushi bar had a small variety but tasted good when we went in. Overall, a good place for us to dine on a Thursday night and my kids left with full bellies. My 6 year old said he hadn't had Chinese buffet food in a long time and it made him happy, which made me happy. Our servers were great, kind and refilled our drinks promptly. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
I came with friends to celebrate one of my friends birthday and one of the waiters tried charge me $5 for a piece of cake (that was already free on the buffet table) AFTER they sang happy birthday to my friend ( also no sign or warning they wanted to charge me for it and it's free each time i went there for someone's birthday ) just make sure you know what you're getting charged for !!!

Yelp
Okay so...this is a four-star review simply because it's a Chinese buffet...so standards have to be lowered given that when you go here you KNOW what you're getting yourself into. Do not come expecting some gourmet experience. If you want to get a Chinese food fix, binge style, and also nosh on some other non-Chinese goodies, this is your spot. It's packed. I came on a Sunday night and there were barely any free tables. It cost me $50 for two people, including a beverage. Come. Eat your heart out. And get your dollar's worth of face stuffage. Like any buffet, there are some dishes better than others. My favorites were the ribs. I order them from my go-to takeout spot and these were way better. I also really liked the pork dumplings. Shout out to having chicken nuggets and fried plantains. They also have the usuals: chicken and broccoli, lo mein, walnut shrimp, general tso's, fried rice, etc. The buffet is complete with soups, sushi, a salad bar, desserts, and soft serve ice cream. Again, keep in mind this review is basing this on being a Chinese buffet...not a regular restaurant, not a takeout joint...it's a BUFFET. In the real, non-buffet world, no, this isn't four-star food, but within the context of what it is, it's pretty solid.

Yelp
I ended up with in the ER with a gastro virus after visiting this place. This place is entirely too crowded. They clearly feening to make money they have ppl packed up on top of each other like sardines in the dinning area. Can't even properly come out of your seat without bumping into the person sitting behind you. I'm guessing they're trying to save on gas as well cause a lot of the foods I picked up were below room temperature some even cold. Not by far my best buffet experience. And they're relatively pricey. My mom and I plate alone came up to $76 not sure what we ate here that was worth that price...
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
High prices, mediocre buffet, mediocre food. In fact, some of it is ice cold! However, you are looking for Chinese buffets on Christmas Day, this will do just fine, if you stick to the basics. I am not a fan of all the signage indicating upcharges for people who waste food. I am sure many people come here and do that, but in COVID climate, be happy they are there at all. Two hour time limit? I do not think you need two hours to eat your way through here. The desserts tasted fresh and actually are decent. Then you can walk off all you ate by walking the 10 minute walk to the Sheepshead Bay subway station.

Yelp
I was more impressed with this buffet than I had expected based on the other reviews. The dishes were replaced frequently in the time I was there, enough that by the time I was ready for a new plate, there were new items coming out. The sushi had a good variety, and it was better than any other buffet I have tried. The shrimp cocktail tasted fresh and was very clean. Overall, the food was very satisfactory, just not incredible. The ambiance is nothing special, kinda plain and boring. But I would definitely visit again

Yelp
First time dining since the pandemic. The food is good here, lots of options and replaced regularly. Covid wise it's pathetic Maskless patrons at the buffet is not just unsanitary it's downright dangerous. At least ask patrons to wear masks at the buffets. Will not return anytime soon. Don't know how the citywide mandate will work here.
google avatar

Erica H.

Yelp
Food is always cold. Pretty sure they are not checking food temperatures. Went here and ran to the bathroom immediately once i got home. Food selection is basic. Very dark inside. Not well lit up. The servers watch you like a hawk when eating i guess to make sure your not stealing. (Nothing worth stealing) Barely put out crab legs maybe every 2hrs and when they do, its cold which is weird. Definitely a 3/10

Yelp
Buffet is open for indoor dining as of 2/14/2021! The usual food selection is still available. Prices remained the same from pre-pandemic times. Weekends are very crowded, so come here during weekdays for a calmer experience. All COVID safety protocols are followed. Quite a lot of customers are frequenting this Emmons favorite. Hope this place never goes out of business, as it's been a neighborhood staple for over 15 years. Stay strong and hang in there!

Yelp
I've been meaning to go here and I was pleasantly surprised. Look, it's a buffet in Sheepshead Bay. If your considering eating here I'm pretty sure you know you're not in Atlantic City or Vegas, so the quality and quantity aren't going to be as vast. The selection is fine. The quality of the food is pretty good. The food and deserts were legitimately tasty. The sushi station was a great touch. Compared to similar buffets, this was a cut above them.

Yelp
I thought the customer service was awesome. They were quick, friendly, and attentive to me. I came mostly for the crab legs. I got (1) crab leg. They come out every 15-20min so I stood near the side. Ten minutes later, two women grabbed tongs and stood horse stance in front of the trays. No problem, thought I. I'm sure I'll get a few normal sized crab legs. When the crab legs came out, the two women grabbed tong-fuls of them. Because I didn't come armed with sheet mail and a medieval sword, I left with a tiny leg. The rest of the food was not good. The only other seafood I tried were the shrimp and oysters but they were both tough. The dessert was dry and the ice cream tasted like cold water.
google avatar

Jeff G.

Yelp
Seaport is a solid chinese buffet. Something that isn't easy to find anymore in the area. The prices are normal and the service is decent.

Yelp
This is the grimiest place ever! And I wish I could give it zero stars. I went there the other day for seafood, and was disappointed. The food was cold, they had NO crabs legs only an empty pan where you could see where they once were. When I asked when we're they going to bring some out I was told "in a few", that turned into 30 minutes and when they finally came people acted like pure savages!!! They only brought out 1 pan, and the legs looked anorexic. One guy came and took all of them.and they didn't bring anymore out. It was if the staff was getting off on people fighting for the seafood..I was TIGHT!..not to mention the bathroom was funky and dirty with piss on the toilet seats and no toilet paper

Ocean G.

Yelp
Parking available, however food was nasty & tasted old it's been sitting here at least 48 hours. Also this restaurant is open until 10pm. This business's hours on yelp are not accurate. This place food used to be good years ago but it's definitely not now.
google avatar

Reham M.

Yelp
I liked the food variety and that they have a dessert bar and an ice cream machine! Great place for someone who enjoys seafood and would like to try everything lol Personally I liked the cozy atmosphere and the dessert area, went back and forth 3 times to try the mini cakes and ice cream Went to a similar place in San Diego and they had a lot more dishes to offer (not only seafood). Wish they could do the same here and add more chicken, pizza and veggie options

Yelp
We have been going here for years and my kids like this place. It has a good variety of food and most of it is pretty good. I'm taking one star off got our last visit on Father's Day. When we got there, there was a sign on the window saying the "special buffet" was $33 pp. We were shocked. Our is usually around $23 and I'm pretty sure the sign they convered with this new sign stud that price was for holidays too. Total ripoff. There was nothing "special" and some things were not as good as on regular days. My kids like dessert at the end and there was hardly anything. Don't go on any holiday! At least we were able to help ourselves because the kids were starving after waiting on the line to get in. It was also extremely crowded and noisy. Oh well, we still like to go a few times a year so my picky kids can find what like to eat and my son can have the seafood he loves and it's usually pretty decent.

Yelp
Ehh I was already turned off by the price and the warning posted throughout the seated dining area. It read as follows,"Dear customers, Please be considerate. Do not waste food. Only take what you can eat. Any wastage will cost you extra charges (by pound). Maximum seating time limit: 2 hours. If you refuse to leave when requested, you will be charged double. There is higher cost per person/child Monday-Thursday in comparison to Friday-Sunday. Why am I paying $10 for a one-year-old? I felt like I was being extorted. I even overheard another customer inquire about the price difference based on weekday. I just felt unwanted, unwelcome, under surveillance and under pressure. On top of all that, the food was subpar. I cannot comment on the seafood, which I guess is their major selling point because I don't like or eat much seafood due to dietary restrictions. We were ready to go. With our server nowhere to be found, we assumed that we had to walk up front to pay our bill. That has been our experience with other Chinese buffets. Our server popped up out of nowhere, and hurried after us as if we were going to dine and dash. I have no clue about what their past experience with customers, but this was the final nail in the coffin. I will take my business elsewhere.

Yelp
I am very disappointed with the service. I found a hair in my food and I took it to them. They took it and they didn't come back and I believe they thought I was lying. I did not get an apology nor a discount. It's a disgrace how I didn't get a sorry nor did the guy come back and apologize. I am very disgusted and I certainly will not be coming back here. I wish to get an apology from the manager sooner or later.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
This is definitely one of the best seafood buffets you are going to get for the price in NYC. The seafood here is fresh and tasty. It is not the regular Chinese buffets! It is clean and spacious! Crab legs, Shrimps, clams, mussels, baked fish fillets and craw fish are the reasons you are coming here! I love their craw fish! The flavor is not too spicy like Cajun style but with a unique savory flavor. Now moving to the chicken and ribs. The kids loved all the chicken options and delicious finger licking boneless ribs. They also have a nice selection of fresh Sushi with a chef making the fresh rolls on spot. The service is great! Staff is very friendly! The kids enjoyed all the deserts and ice cream in the end! I definitely will come back!

Deborah C.

Yelp
The staff I interacted with was really kind. The food I tried was cooked we'll however the general tso chicken was the only thing that was tasty as if everything else had not one spice not even a little salt and pepper.

Yelp
The worse seafood restaurant in Brooklyn The food was not Fresh the waiters so rude And more they were fitting with one table who there kid they didn't finish his rice and both waiter and manager they called this waste even the parent pay of corse for the child who has his anniversary I was really upset for this family Upset to went there with my fiancée she was shocked Never again this place No quality No service

Mark L.

Yelp
Incredibly stingy with their crab legs! Even if you're on line, the lady handling the servings will give a portion to the guy behind you, if you're Black or Asian (they hate American Born Chinese)! If you voice your complaints, they'll say,"Okay..." and not do anything! If you decide to tip lower because of your anger, they will send the head waiter to tell you they need more money! NOT recommended!

Yelp
Omg people!! Stay far far away from this disgusting place. Flaming Grill is only 5 min away. Who would go to this disgusting place that is overpriced for the total crap they serve. You have to be a bum off the street to eat there. About two months ago we went because we were in the neighborhood and couldn't get to Flaming Grill. So we said what the heck let's do it. We basically paid for nothing because we ate nothing. It's disgusting. No choices at all. Food is either overcooked or undercooked. Women who serve the buffet are nasty and don't speak a word of English. How this place hasn't been shut down for unsanitary conditions idk. Stay away if you want to remain disease free

Yelp
Guys.. the food was honestly not that bad. Not much variety. What completely ruined my mood was a random waiter, that did NOT seat us... complaining about me giving no tip saying "no education" and "thanks for nothing"... like hear me out. HE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT GIVE ME MY CHECK. DO NOT SERVE ME OBVIOUSLY AND NEVER CHECKED IN ON THE TABLE. So how the hell am I supposed to give nobody a tip??? Then proceed to talk crap about us. Disgusting staff. The only nice one was the old man that sat us..
google avatar

Marsha E.

Yelp
Decent selection of food and fresh. My issue is the customer service. Worker's watch you eat so you feel rushed. Parking is good during weekdays meter parking. Weekends forget about it with parking. I will return based on the freshness of the food and the seafood selection.

Sta H.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much but we were dying of hunger and decided to pop in. Given a ticket awaiting to be called and though we requested a table for three for a party of three, the host offered a table for two. We declined and she told us we were next, saw a table become available and provided her with notification and she gave the table away to another party. DO NOT RECOMMEND.... Many kids observed playing with food at the buffet tables.

Yelp
This place really is so vile. Was really starving and went here for lunch. I went up a 2nd time even though I thought food sucked, but there was one shrimp dish that was decent. A waitress came over, and asked if I was done. I said no, and she looked at my 2nd plate of shrimp and rolled her eyes and made a face - what she was trying to say, I'm not sure. It seemed like she was calling me a pig. I don't eat crab legs but what I saw, I will never, in all my life forget. A tray of crab legs came out and people were acting like savages - grabbing at em in hostile manner. That to me is not an enjoyable meal. They really were rude as ppl say, and food basically was not good. I will never step foot in this dirty dump again. I don't write bad reviews because I'm friends with restaurant owners, worked in the industry, and I know how severe ppl can be. I would not want to mess up a business. But this place treated me lousy and it was uncalled for. It's not like they are serving a good product. Read first sentence again and go somewhere that knows how to treat their paying customers.

Yelp
I rarely drop a review but this place i felt it's a must, i wish i can give them a zero star, poor management and aweful customer service. My son was born 2016 but he is a little bit bigger than his age, my 1st time there they asked me about his age i told them 2 yrs then they charged me for him(knowing that they only charge 3yrs old and above) i asked them why, they said we thought he is 3 and they took it out of my receipt, i went there ystrday for the 2nd time, the manager asked me how old is he i told him 2 yrs he said no he is big , he is more than 3, i told him are u calling me a liar he said no but ur son is more than 3, luckily i save all documents on google drive so i had his birth certificate i showed it to him he was like yeah i thought he is 3 or more, i told him thats because u r stupid, in usa customers are always right, u just dont accuse them of lying. Will never go there specially food is good but no variety at all. But i liked the fact they have an ice cream machine for my son but not worth it at all.

Yelp
It's definitely not one of the buffets you would have up on the top of your buffet list or any list. Like most Chinese buffets, it has different food options for you to pick, from fried stuff to seafood to sushi (not much to choose from) to fruits to dessert. Not many options but this buffet place is pretty cheap, so what else can you really ask for? I would suggest to go for lunch because dinner time it gets packed, like you get a number to wait for a long time kind of packed. The staff there looks bored, lazy and tired. I don't know why but it makes the whole place seem so dead and not lively when you eat there. Some plates might not be washed thoroughly and might still have stains on it so look before you grab one and start piling up the food on the plate. The only thing I really eat here is the seafood because everyone eats it which almost guarantees that it was cooked recently or often, whereas the fried food and noodles, etc I don't want to even guess how long it's been out or how many times they've recooked it. To get your money's worth, just keep eating the clams and mussels and eat only a piece of everything else if you really want to eat other stuff. If you want snow crab legs go at night for dinner because during lunch they don't serve that. The seafood is really all I need from this place. Not the freshest but once again, for lunch on a Saturday was only $11 and it's close by where I live, so can't really complain. But what there is to complain is their sushi, it's just so poorly made and dropped there, and it doesn't look fresh nor appetizing. I used to come here all the time when I was a kid and it still looks the same right now (even the kinds of food stayed the same - not a good thing). The dessert section definitely needs an improvement in choices and options. I usually just go straight to the soft serve ice cream machine for my dessert fix.
google avatar

Celeste B.

Yelp
The food selection is not the best and most of it doesn't look very fresh. The waiters are fairly helpful and friendly but there is always one bad apple that spoils the bunch. When I visited this buffet with my family I observed that they had broiled fish as an option but it was simply labeled as white fish. Knowing that there are many different types of white fish I asked the woman that was refilling the buffet. She snapped back "white fish" repeatedly even when I asked her what type and rushed away looking annoyed. Clearly she didn't want to be bothered with customers. This visit was definitely a waste of money because none of us ate much at all. The crab legs were difficult to get and they were very skinny without much to eat. We all agreed that it was hard to find anything other than the salad bar appetizing. Then to top it all off the bill did not reflect the prices posted in the window. Don't waste your time or money like I did coming to this place to eat.
google avatar

Olivia B.

Yelp
If you wanna die from food you can go there! As for me I can't stop and then I feeling that I will kill my self! Most of people are Russian there so you feel that you still in Russia. Food are normal and 11$ for time from 1-3pm and 17$ from 3pm! I like more lunch time bec food are better.
google avatar

Liz C.

Yelp
*** Large space, Great service, Decent selection of food *** Like many Asian buffets, you will find your common selection of Asian-American fusion type foods. I recommend this place if you're looking for an all-you-can-eat experience. My only issue was the insanity for the snow crab legs; there needs to be a more efficient way to deal with customers who are not so patiently wanting the crab legs.

Yelp
This was a terrible experience. For one the bathroom is horrendous and it reeked of urine. It made me wonder what the kitchen cleanliness was like. The food was bland and the seafood was not fresh. The food choice was limited and my husband couldn't believe he saw a pair of serving tongs in the bathroom just casually hanging there as if it was a regular practice. That's when we knew we had to leave. Our server was sweet despite the facility itself being a fail.Do yourself a favor and skip this place.Don't even eat there if it's for free.
google avatar

Vanessa W.

Yelp
The buffet was severely disappointing. There was a limited amount of seafood. What was available, seafood or not, was not very good. The best things were the shrimp in lobster sauce and dessert that is clearly not even house-made... That being said it is very affordable and a buffet. It isn't worth the trek out to Sheepshead Bay, but if you're in the area and want a lot of food for an affordable price, check them out. Based off of the food we had when we went, however, your best bet would be to fill up on rice with shrimp in lobster sauce and dessert. The wonton soup didn't even have any wontons when I checked... they didn't come by the refill it either.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best seafood buffet in Brooklyn. The only thing is not good is to get the crabs legs, too many people waiting for it. But besides de crabs legs they gave a lot choice. Except lobsters.

Yizbeth L.

Yelp
Worse buffet ever !!! No Manners, your plate is remove without even asking if your finish, they gave me the check without even asking if I was done, then they act like if you dont leave a tip they gonna not let you get out of the restaurant, they stand next to you like the police, crazy!! Will never go back, don't recoment it to anyone, and what's worse they don't have a large selection of food. Dont go there!!!

Michael F.

Yelp
The food here is great. If you eat here, you should know what happened here in 2019. Justice for Fufai Pun, Kheong Ng-Thang, and Tsz Mat-Pun, who were hammered to death at this restaurant by Arthur Martunovich. It's 2021 now. No jail time for him. Show some support for this restaurant and the victims' families. Stop Asian Hate!

John M.

Yelp
Great inexpensive buffet that is always reliable best bang for your buck in the city Ok it's not up to Vegas buffet or cruise ship standards but have been here many times and have always enjoyed it

Yelp
I love this part of Brooklyn, it's close to the water and is very up and coming. A lot of things to do and eat. So when my Co-Worker, who knows the area pretty well, recommended a buffet, I thought why not. We ended up at "Seaport Buffet" there is only street parking so get ready to wait for parking. Going inside I was impressed with the set up, the food is right in front of you. You walk in, they seat you, then you eat. The place is very clean and organized, I liked seeing staff walk around cleaning. No music, just the sound of everyone eating there meals fills the air. Once you're seated a staff member takes your drink order. There was a mid-size selection of food with most of it being Chinese, not sea food. I wasn't sold on the ribs, they were to tough. I did like all the variety of chickens they offered. I also enjoyed the sushi, even though they filled them a bit light. I also didn't like the seating to much, the booths are a bit tight. I gave it four stars because the staff was on point, but it could have easily have gotten three stars and in ok with that because of the lack of food choices. I guess if I'm in the area I would go back, I just know it's not enough good choices to put me into my well deserved coma.

Yelp

Yelp
My family and I came to Seaport Buffet about 10 years ago, when it was still good. My boyfriend & I came to Seaport Buffet about two weeks ago since we heard it reopened finally after months of being shut down because of the mess Hurricane Sandy left. The interior of the buffet definitely looked classy and elegant surprisingly. Everything looked brand new. There were still 3 aisles food just as I remembered - a fried food station, a sauteed/steam station, and a dessert/salad/raw station. They also have ice cream, soda, and tea at the back side. We ordered two sodas and the waiter said if we wanted refills it will be an additional charge for $1.25. While we made our way to the food stations, our stomachs felt indifferent. Some of the food looked unappealing and drenched in a tremendous amount of oil. I know it's a buffet and food doesn't need to look sexy or attractive, but I would think that since Seaport Buffet just reopened, that they would step up with at least a "B" game like their interior. A lot of the dishes at the food stations were refilled in and out, but I noticed from the time my boyfriend & I got to the buffet -- the crab legs stations was never refilled. They had miniature egg custards which looked stale and was left out for a long time. I thought they were adorable, but they ended up being unappealing cause there were black shavings of something on some of the egg custards. Their Shrimp with Mayo was OD on Mayo. The fried calamari was disgusting. Cold, stale, and no seasoning at all. I really think out of all the food, I only enjoyed the Chow Mein and the string beans. If you really care about how food should taste or the food quality at a Buffet, I definitely would not recommend coming to Seaport Buffet. The customer service was mediocre. The waiters/waitresses don't really care to say "Thank You" . The food is just atrocious. I hope they improve their food quality.

Yelp
Not sure I'd come back here. The price is right for a buffet but the food here is just as good as your local ordinary local Chinese restaurant. & with that being said it may be over priced. It definitely didnt help to have a semi warning label at your table that says they will charge you per pound for wastage of food, which is why I gave this 2 stars. It almost made me feel pressured to eat everything single grain of rice of my plate. Regardless the food was decent. I didn't like that they garage caddy for dishes was stationed right in front of the sushi area, but then again I didn't order any, so that review is still up for debate. The hot food was nice and piping hot, cold food was on ice. Foods were replenished quickly and the fruit/dessert bar seemed stacked with goodies. I didn't try any, as I was too full from feeling pressured to finish my meal. However, myself or any of my dinner companions didn't say they be running back for more.

Yelp
Generally buffets concern me from a bacterial perspective, while feeling excited about all of the options that are sitting patiently in their trays or on the carving board, ready to be served up. Clearly I am torn on the issue, but when I heard of a seafood buffet, my concerns and excitements were heightened to a whole new level. Seafood sitting out for an nondescript amount of time? You only live once and barring a potential case of legionnaires, I felt it was worth a shot. The tray of exceptional interest to many of the buffet goers, was without a doubt the crab legs, which I never even got to look at as customers were waiting in a pseudo-make shift line with eyes affixed on the door to the kitchen, which the crab refills were sure to come from. So I selected some peel and eat shrimp, basically smallish farmed prawns that needed a lemon, wasabi, cocktail sauce mixture to taste like anything. The clams and mussels fared no better as I scouted the three areas of offerings for additional condiments. Processed crab chunks with their florescent red hue and plastic texture and the baby octopus legs that resembled the top half of a radish, freshly pulled from the ground. The cooked mussels and clams were marginally better and the inescapable trays of Chinese food (egg rolls and noodles) were only being observed, but never selected by any patrons. Perhaps it is the location and proximity to the bay, which sits across the street, where cruse boats and fishing charters are anchored, which generates the crowd that was on hand. Unfortunately I have to report that I just really did not enjoy any of the food that I had.

Yelp
Cheap. Not the best but not totally the worst of the worst. Basic buffet staples plus a few surprises. Non deveined shrimp on heavy rotation. Patrons will stand in front of the crab leg pan and hold the thongs hostage until they are refreshed. Be prepared to put some base in your voice or have to try multiple times to snag a few. Desserts are cheap of the cheap. Won't be back.

Yelp
The best buffet in Brooklyn! Food is fresh always and yummy. Every time I come I try to eat everything. And the place is well lit so you know there's nothing to hide. Beautiful atmosphere. My fav thing here is the shrimps in lobster sauce. To die for! The boneless ribs are top notch.

Yelp
The fight for crab legs was real. Took at least maybe three or four attempts to manage to get at least four! The staff doesn't really care about customer service and honestly the food looks sketchy. It wasn't that great.. its convenient because its the only buffet in the area, but I would recommend going elsewhere for food.

Yelp
It get's crazy in here. My bf and I came here on Friday and there was a short line for the table. It was very loud inside though, there were a lot of big parties and kids. So just a warning if your looking for something quiet then don't go here. I looked around at the food selection and we decided to eat here. It smelled good and it looked good, I was convinced. After getting a table, I was getting myself a plate of food when I saw something that horrified me. There was a lady in the chicken wing section who decided upon herself to use her fingers instead of the serving tong by the food and use her fingers to grab herself a chicken wing. Okay well you think that's not bad as long as she takes what she touches, but nope it doesn't end there. She decided that she did not like the wing she picked using her hands, so instead she PUTS IT BACK in the container full of wings and grabs herself again with her fingers a different wing. I didn't have time to say anything, I was so shocked all I had was a disgusted look on my face when she turned and saw me. She didn't say anything, she just simply walked away. Of course, this is not the restaurants fault, the food I say is good and not to mention I love their frozen ice cream, but after seeing that, let's just say that was enough for me not to come back here. Seaport Buffet is a good restaurant and for a buffet they do have a good amount of selection of food and for the most part it looks clean. However, the food is out and they can't help who coughs, sneezes, or picks at the food. BYOB
