The 19 Best Restaurants In Montauk 2024

"Housed in a quaint cottage that’s a quick drive from the ocean, this sushi spot uses both local catches and imported seafood for excellent maki and nigiri. And there are some good unique rolls we like here, including the Amagansett stuffed with tempura fried oyster and avocado that’s topped with spicy tuna, plus a luxe california roll with king crab. Or, you could just grab a $105 party tray for a sushi beach picnic while watching the surfers at Ditch Plains.  " - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation

Google
The sushi was so fresh. Presentation was beautiful. The place is standing room, bar like with seating outside. Nice when it's warm. Tucked away from the marinas but not too far. Loved it.

Google
This is a hole in the wall delicious place. If you are looking for good, fresh sushi, look no further. It’s majority outside seating, small place. It’s delicious. Just go.

Google
Ok and easy sushi place in the area. I'm glad there is a Japanese restaurant that is not even in the town in this deep area. Quality is acceptable even price is kind of high but can't complain on a place that be in this far. Good thing about this place is the seats outside you can enjoy meal with your fur buddy. To order, you have to go inside and order the food then they will bring you your meal. - Rainbow Nanuto is good: it is a roll without rice (I love rice but I only want vegetables and fish this time) - Tuna Tartar: kind of fusion but it ok, a lot of mango. - Spicy Tuna Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll: Regular - Sashimi Deluxe: Chefs Choice 18pcs Assorted Sashimi. It was good I like salmon, octopus and tuna another fish has a bit smell so I'm kind of dissapointed. - Sake is very expensive for the brand that you can buy in regular liquor store.

I am madly in love with this place. The staff are wonderful too and so welcoming and accommodating. Absolutely delicious, fresh and innovative creations. We have been several times and it is now our go-to spot. I’m literally obsessed and so thankful to have such an awesome new addition to Montauk.

Google
My Fam and I have been going to Montauk for years. We recently find this new place called Seaside House Bar on Flamingo Ave and Kirk Ave. Their staffs are super friendly and professional. I ordered their special dish called King’s Ship. The Chef used cucumber to hold the fishes inside, the display is so creative. And tastes amazing!

Google
Delicious sushi! We have been back several times and it has been consistently fresh. Great to have high quality take out option in Montauk

Google
Maybe the best sushi spot in Montauk in terms of quality and creativity. We ordered 4 special rolls and all 4 were unusual and delicious! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Decent sushi place in the area with tons of rolls and specialty rolls, and 4-5 tables to sit outside. You order at the counter and the waiters deliver the table to your food. APPS We got the ginger salad (3.5/5) and kani salad (5/5). Ginger salad was really standard/average, super refreshing but totally not worth $7. Kani salad was delicious though; mayo was not too heavy, tempura added a nice crunch factor, and thinly sliced cucumber added a refreshing taste. SASHIMI Got two sashimi platters (3/5) for the table... they were OK. My favorite was the yellowtail followed by the salmon... they mistakenly charged for the rice even though it was technically included. ROLLS For more simple rolls, got the spicy scallop roll (3.5/5) and spicy fluke roll (5/5). Spicy scallop was good, but spicy fluke was really good. The fish tasted fresh and there was a nice crunch in there too. SPECIALTY ROLLS -Lotus roll (4/5): lobster on top with tobiko was really good... lobster in montauk is so fresh! Tuna inside was just OK, not sure how much I liked the sweet chili sauce. This roll was on the smaller side -Sunrise roll (4.5/5): this roll is also on the smaller side, but was my favorite of the specialty rolls. Nice tempura crunch factor in the spicy salmon and I love ikura. Mayo on top was a bit much though, but salmon overall was very fresh -Pink Lady Roll (4/5): eat this right away before the shrimp tempura gets soggy, but the tempura was delicious! Paired well with the avocado and spicy tuna, but I did not love the sweet chili sauce -Tiger roll (2.5/5): my least favorite... more bland, nothing fancy, and was not a fan of the kombu seaweed. Also, the sriracha did not complement the piece at all. Overall, solid fish with a few misses here and there. Convenient sushi for the area though! For rolls, we

Yelp
The rolls were absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced. Mango tango is a must-try. It is best visited in the warmer months but takeout is great anytime. It is small and quaint. The service was good.

Yelp
Been here twice. The sushi is so so fresh. This place is amazing! The staff is super nice! Recommend this place to anyone in Montauk! Will be back soon!

John S.

Yelp
We got take out from here after reading a recommendation from the Infatuation. Excellent sushi. Similarly priced to what'd you'd fine in the city, which is expected, but the quality is right there as well. We'll definitely be visiting next June when we're back in Montauk for vacation! Must try for sushi lovers

Yelp
Always fresh fish and friendly service. So many options and all of it amazing. Poke, sushi, and much more! Dine in or take out.

Yelp
Shocked there aren't more reviews! My new go to sushi spot - good quality and very quick.

Yelp
Wide variety of choices on menu. Just be prepared to sit outside and lots of noise. Don't order baked potato.

Calvin K.

Yelp
If you are seeking proper sushi this is NOT the place. 1. Price: too high for what you are getting. 2. Quality: so so. 3. Sushi portion: all too small with a price tag of large. The rice is so little and of course the sushi is very small. You can go to any Chinese restaurant that serves sushi and get way better sushi than these. We also ordered Tuna poki bowl and it was terrible too. They literally minced the tuna so tiny, and the serving size is very little with high price tag on it. These guys seem like they never tried a poki bowl. There is no flavor other than mayonnaise. Very cheaply made. I have been enjoying sushi for over 30 years and this was the WORST of all. Just a huge rip off!

Yelp
Don't walk, run. This spot won't be a secret for long. Not only is everything super fresh and delicious but it is also wonderfully creative without being over the top. WOW! Congrats to everyone involved in opening this spot.

Karen H.

Yelp
This is the best place ver! Prices are amazing, staff is so friendly and understanding. The food is so good it'll make you wanna order again. Don't hesitate to go!

Yelp
We had the citrus bowl and scallop bowl. Both were super fresh. We will be back No lines either since they have only been open for a month.

Vivian S.

Yelp
Fabulous Poke Bowl, I could eat this every day. Tuna is so fresh and the citrus dressing makes all the difference. Naruto rolls offer sashimi wrapped in cucumber, nor rice. Excellent
