Clean and quiet this is a nice family run business, don't go in s hurry ENJOY your food. Very nice people! I got the ginger beef and it was really tasty! Good portion size and a good price! I will stop here again when I am in Boise!

Google
Cute little what seems like a family owned restaurant in Boise. I have been searching for good American Chinese food in Boise and have tried almost everywhere searching for what is easy to find all over the north west and this is the closest I have come. The fried rice is sticky and dark, the sweet and sour sauce is packed with flavor and a deep ruby red, the egg flower soup isn't the style I'd typically go for as it's a little thicker in consistency than I prefer but the flavor is great. Pork and seeds seems like the kind that isn't prepped at the restaurant but I wasn't upset about it. I would recommend they get a beer and wine license. All things considered I will be visiting again.

Google
The ragoons were the worst we’ve ever had. They are super empty. The chicken had like no veggies and the sesame and orange chicken seemed like it had the same sauce for both. Also the hot and sour soup was super, super gelatinous

Google
ordered from here a few times now through doordash and it's easily my favorite! they're very accommodating of vegetarian dietary restrictions and the staff are very kind - spoke to them over the phone only once but they were so helpful! the chow mein is AMAZING, so flavorful and perfectly made every time. the cucumber avocado roll is not something i would normally order but it was actually such a fresh, light, and overall excellent addition to everything else! perfect to split with my partner and eat as a side with the rest of the food! tofu dishes are so well made too - amazing flavor and really great texture! i can never make my tofu that well when i cook at home lol. the portion sizes are big and the prices are amazing for what you get (quality-wise AND quantity-wise). 100/10 absolutely love it

Google
Best bbq pork fried rice I’ve ever had in my life! I got the almond chicken with gravy as an entree and it was fresh and hot and crispy when it was delivered. The potstickers are good too!! One of the best Chinese food restaurants I’ve ever had in general. Will be eating there again and I highly recommend it! Great prices also.

Google
I read a number of the negative reviews about the Season Wok and wondered if the referred to the same restaurant where I ate - (turns out that they may have referred to the previous owner). I had the Broccoli Beef and General Tso's Chicken with the Hot & Sour soup. The Hot & Sour soup was among the best I have ever had - and I have had it worldwide (including China). The Broccoli Beef included a number of veggies that many Chinese restaurants have stopped including (baby corn, water chestnuts, mushrooms). The fried rice that I ordered to accompany the General Tso's chicken had a very generous amount of veggies and was tasty. This restaurant is better than many other Chinese restaurants I have eaten at in New York, London, Dallas, Seattle, San Francisco, and Taipei - not bad for Boise, Idaho.

Google
1 of the better & more authentic affordable Chinese food in Boise, with good service. The family are good people earning a living. My partner & I go there every Sun after church for lunch. Now they've expanded their range of food to include Japanese, with sashimi & sushi in generous portions. The sashimi slices are fresh, big & thickly cut. Sushi are great too. Prices are reasonable compared to other Japanese restaurants. We ordered the Chinese set lunch together with the sashimi & sushi. For everything, we spent $25 per person before tipping, which is highly reasonable.

Google
I was initially sceptical about ordering food from the Season Wok due to the previous reviews by locals. So, like a good Samaritan I ordered a few appetizers and an entree to see for myself. Appetizers:: Bobo Platter - The Bobo Platter came with an abundance of appetizers from their menu: Pork and Seeds, Won Ton, and Krab Rangoon. The pork was somewhat dry, but definitely not moist or savory. The Won Ton was unbearable to eat by itself. I recommend dipping it in Hot Mustard sauce. As for the Krab Rangoon, it was the most delicious out of the three from this Platter. The ratio between breading and Krab was on point. Egg Roll - The egg roll was a bit on the "pricey side" when compared with other Appetizers. The taste was substantial, but I recommend finding a Sweet Chilli sauce to give a little more flavor... Entree:: Mandarin Chicken - The Mandarin Chicken was my entree of choice. It was accompanied by steamed rice. There is the option to "upgrade" from plain White Rice to Fried Rice. But, it will cost you a couple dollars. The chicken was overpowered by the Sweet and Sour sauce provided. Although, the texture was very pleasant and to my liking. Summary:: All in all, this Chinese Restaurant isn't the worst experience I've come across, but it definitely isn't close to being the best. Majority of the foods are priced fairly (in my opinion). I feel like other reviewers are too harsh when it comes to what they expect from here. You get what you pay for.

Yelp
I loved it! The food was amazing and tasty and they were very nice and would make 100% recommend this place for a family dinner! The restaurant was very friendly and cozy! I love this place very much

Yelp
The food was pretty good not the best I've ever had but the atmosphere was very cute and pleasant. Overall just a cute spot and the staff was very nice. -well known and respected food critic

Yelp
Well, I should have looked at the reviews on here instead of Uber Eats. The food is extremely disappointing. The orange chicken are small chicken cubes, which makes the entire dish mostly batter than chicken. Both the beef and broccoli and chow fun were salty with little flavor besides a lot of salt. Pork fried rice was dry. Total was $42 something. Way overpriced.

Yelp
Food was good, we got the Sweet and Sour chicken, General Tso and the egg rolls but no chopsticks w/ the delivery and the mini rice to go boxes were ridiculously small, I've never seen anything like it. Maybe it's a Boise thing but you really have to cheap out on the rice like that when you charge me and extra $2 for pork fried rice. The rice container is on the right
google avatar

Yelp
Seems like it's run by a friendly, earnest family. Food is okay. We ordered takeout. She said it would be ready in 20 minutes and it took less. The Broccoli & Shrimp was good, but not amazing. Pork-fried rice was competent. Sweet & sour soup was good. They did not scrimp on soy sauce packets. Asked for hot mustard, and that was pretty good and hot. It was convenient to where we were staying, but I wouldn't search it out as a destination restaurant.

Yelp
Never order Sushi from this place! I ordered 4 rolls thru Uber Eats and they all tasted the same. They use a smashed fish mixture as a filling that does not resemble any tuna, salmon or yellow fin I've ever seen before. One bite and in the trash my order went!
google avatar

Yelp
VERY good food and good prices here! Ordered delivery the other night and loved the food! We had bbq pork with seeds, a General Tso's, a chicken chop suey, a Mongolian Beef, and a crunchy chicken chow mein. The chow mein and chop suey seemed to be the same thing but were very good and came in huge portions! I'd definitely eat here again.

Yelp
I am not one to write reviews, I even downloaded Yelp JUST for this review. This place has probably the worst Chinese food I've ever put into my body. We ordered very basic/usual orders. Orange Chicken Chow Mein Chicken Fried Rice Egg Rolls (Sweet and Sour Sauce) The Orange Chicken was absolutely horrible. The sauce tastes so bland, the texture is like pure rubber and I felt like I was chewing on silicone. Three times, not one, not two, THREE different times, I had to spit out the chicken nuggets due to it being pure cartilage. Horrible. Chow Mein was moderate. Very unseasoned and had a small amount of flavor. The texture was decent. That is the only thing I can say was decent about this review. The Chicken Fried Rice. You may think, who could even mess this up? Well look no further! If you want dry, overcooked, bland chicken fried rice that has the textural consistency of cement, then you have found it! I could barely break apart the rice itself, and it was cold as ice. The worst rice dish I have ever tried. Ever. The Egg Rolls were soggy and cold as well. There was little to no flavor, which led me to plunge them into the Sweet and Sour Sauce, which tasted like battery acid. Super hideous flavor, that made me question if I was eating gasoline. No. No. And again, no. Overall, if you are looking for a place to have Chinese food, DO NOT COME HERE. You will be highly disappointed that you spent a chunk of change on cardboard Egg Rolls and rubber Orange Chicken. I'm sorry to leave such a poor review, I do believe I have a slight responsibility in protecting people's money and taste buds. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Yelp
I am a truck driver and order Chinese food at this place and the food is excellent and at a very good price, if you are a truck driver and you are in the Boise, Idaho area on the TA or the Flying J , I recommend them Soy un camionero y ordene comida china en este lugar y la comida es excelente y a muy buen precio, si eres un camionero y estás en el área de Boise, Idaho en el TA o Flying J, los recomiendo

Yelp
This place is exactly what you have been looking for! The food is authentic and excellent. The atmosphere is also nice and quiet. Prices are good as well.

Yelp
Worst Chinese food and service. I ordered chicken egg foo young, egg drop soup and a coke which cost $17.00 (before tip) The dried up shredded chicken just thrown on top of egg patties were nasty... also they forgot my drink I called them they apologized. 30 min later I call back and was told they can't get in touch with the driver and was not sure when I would get my drink I'm still waiting.....(it's been 20 min since my 2 me call to them. I was on my lunch break at work dying of thirst from the salty dried out dish. I work nearby and will never order from them again.

Your Mom ..

Yelp
I recommend not going to this place my mom just got out of surgery and was hungry so we went to a place close by to home and when we pulled up it seemed not good but we still went inside it was empty. It was just us and when we got the menus the food didn't even look good but we still sat down and orders some food. After we waited we got our food the soup didn't look right and it didn't taste good either. The potstickers were the best thing to eat there in my opinion cuz everything else is gross. Lastly the bathroom was nasty I with i got a photo of it but I couldn't. The walls were nasty and sticky. The bathroom was nasty.

Tom K.

Yelp
The food was exceptionally flavorful and generous portions. No hesitation to highly recommend if you enjoy Asian dishes.

Elyana H.

Yelp
IF WE COULD GIVE ZERO STARS WE WOULD, DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER GOING HERE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. My boyfriend and I ordered the dinner special with the chicken and rice soup. It almost immediately made us sick, the food was really bland, and a hair was found in the food. The hair in the food was jet black and short, we have long brown and long blonde hair. The bathroom was filthy, very outdated, and the door barely locked. The rice was overcooked, a few pieces of the chicken was under cooked and cold. This place needs to be shut down and have a food safety test/remodel.

Yelp
Food was really good. Stoped by for a quick lunch. Friendly staff and clean dining.
google avatar

Yelp
Do not order from here. We spent $60 and the portions were small. We had no left overs AND no fortune cookies.
google avatar

April C.

Yelp
FOR YOUR SAFETY...Do Not ever eat here!! If I could give zero stars, I would. I had some type of chicken chow mein.. the noodles were thick, egg noodles, and they were orange and most disgusting food I've ever tasted in my life. My brother had some type of pork, spring rolls and he got halfway through it then realized it was putrid smelling. Fortunately neither one of us got sick because we have healthy immune systems.
google avatar

Maribeth L.

Yelp
It's seriously the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Tastes as if they heated up frozen food.
google avatar

Theresa C.

Yelp
Got the General Tse Chicken it was Ok a bit on the salty side. No fortune cookie. Doubt I'll be ordering again.

Yelp
Do not go to this place. I tried to call an order in for pickup, and one item we wanted had as a option (from their menu) of soft noddles or pan fired. The order taker, (who's English at best is a third language) keep on the kick of pan fried noodles. I must have told her ten times what I wanted. So I told it seems to me she knew what I wanted more than I did. This is not the first time this placed low on my happy meter, but never again. Telling my friends all about this sucky place. And businesses bitch about needing business, but I'm seeing this at different restaurants in the area, so no wonder they have non.

Robert D.

Yelp
i like ordering broccoli beef thru door dash. it's alway been tasty. vegetables not overcooked. Can't comment on the rest of the menu

Jade J.

Yelp
My favorite lunch and dinner spot it's always so good and I always have leftovers. I love the people who work here they're always very nice.

Taylor P.

Yelp
Not impressed... the pot stickers are tiny, the sauce for them is in a 1ounce cup for 6 potstickers. The crabrangoo had nothing inside of them just fried crisps. last time ill order from here. New garden chines on state and collister is 100x better and bigger than this place. step it up
google avatar

Denise R.

Yelp
Omg just what was needed. Finally found an Asian food that reminded me of the places in California that I go to when I visit my friends.. Have tried several others here and the only word that comes to mind is bland. By the way if you like hot and sour soup t is so good..
google avatar

Lyz H.

Yelp
I ordered around $40 worth of food from here , HUGE MISTAKE. My boyfriend and I immediately got sick only s couple hours after eating and most of the dishes smelled of ammonia. It was a horrible horrible experience that we are still paying the price for

Yelp
It was so much better back when it was Quik-Wok. I hadn't ordered since the change and never will again now that I've done so. Order was for the following: Mongolian Beef Kung Pao Beef Crunchy Noodle Chicken Chow Mein The Mongolian Beef was NOTHING like any of this dish I'd had before. When I think Mongolian beef, I think of a nice, rich thick brown gravy, green onions and decent cuts of tender beef. I received a sad, watery tan broth loaded with bamboo and mushrooms with a few anemmic-looking slivers of beef. I can't review the Kung Pao beef, as I received the chicken instead. Gone is the spicy, flavorful dish with a good amount of peanuts and in its stead is a painfully bland porridge of carrots, celery, and a few peanuts. The chow mein was absolutely inedible. Their idea of a crunchy noodle chow mein is to give you a disgusting looking slop pile of celery, more celery, some celery, onions, and then some celery for garnish. There might have been some chicken? Couldn't tell. The crunch comes from some of those fried noodle curls you see at a few random Chinese buffets in the salad bar. The sauce is a pale, milky gravy that tastes vaguely of salt and mushrooms, perhaps? I am very disappointed at what Quik-Wok has become, to say the very least and thoroughly advise against ordering here. It was money wasted.

Alan C.

Yelp
Oh my goodness...ordered the Mongolian Beef and literally had 2 pieces of beef and a WHOLE LOT of onions. It is flavorless and I even asked for extra spicy. NEVER order from here!!! This is the worst Chinese food I have ever ordered and the hot and sour soup also and has a hint of sour but still very little flavor. DO NOT GO HERE FOR GOOD FOOD! I hope they contact me for a more honest opinion.
google avatar

Seth B.

Yelp
This was our first experience of Chinese food in Boise, and I pray the rest are nothing like this. I ordered General Tso's chicken - a staple in fast Chinese cuisine. What we received (as you can see in my picture) was a container full of Chinese chicken fingers smothered in a brown gravy. It tasted unlike anything I've ever had. Soggy and far from appealing. To be sure that I received the correct meal, I called and explained what I'd been delivered - the woman didn't skip a beat to confirm that I had the correct order. Disappointing. I'd go into the rest of the meal, but I'd rather not spend the time as I already spent my money on a meal that will not be eaten. And I hate wasting food. Perhaps the food in the restaurant is better than what is delivered.
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
Formerly Quik Wok unsure if the name change is management related or if they simply rebranded the place. Quik Wok was possibly the worst Chinese place in the valley, and unfortunately the new name hasn't done much if anything to change the quality of the food. We ordered delivery and delivery guy was positively pissed off that I didn't see my phone ringing because he couldn't find my apartment. Strike one. At least the food was still hot, however the dishes that were supposed to be spicy. - were not. Strike two. The dishes that we're supposed to have chicken in them - did indeed have rubbery, off white looking meat that was completely devoid of any taste whatsoever. Strike three. This was the second and last time we will be ordering take out from here. This isn't Chinese food, it's garbage.

Yelp
This new place in an old spot has undergone an astonishing transformation. It's definitely a change for the better and deserving of recognition. The decor is the same as far as I remember but that's where the similarities end. My visit was 5-3-16 around 9:15pm. From the moment I walked into the restaurant I was made to feel welcome. The woman at the counter was exceptionally good at her job and she explained the menu, prices, and best way to get the most for my money. I could not have been more pleased with her stellar customer service. My order was carryout and I was still slightly apprehensive about the food but my worries were for naught, it was great. The large portions and excellent food were absolutely A+++. We will (and have already) be back. Season Wok has exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

Tanya B.

Yelp
My experience with Season Wok was horrible. First I ordered through DoorDash (that was directed on the restaurant's website for deliveries) at 12:08 pm and it stated that it would take 20-30 mins for delivery. At 12:55 pm I was calling the restaurant to find out where my order was. I was told by the person who answered the phone that it's not their fault, they had just gotten the order from DoorDash. When I finally received by food at 1:10pm, it wasn't very good (didn't smell good either) and most of it was cold. Between the (non) customer service of the delivery service (which Season Wok has on their website to use), the way I was spoken to and the bad food, I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Ranae C.

Yelp
I was a little gunshy due to the mixed reviews, but our takeout was great...the only thing we didn't care for much was the eggroll app, everything else was delicious. We won't hesitate to order from here again.

A B.

Yelp
I ordered a combination dinner online a couple weeks ago, and was able to switch out the fried shrimp. The food was just okay. Today, I go into the restaurant to order the same meal for take out, and asked if I could switch out the fried shrimp for an egg roll. The server told me if would cost extra. Really, an egg roll costs more than fried shrimp? When I asked him why he was charging me more, he blamed the computer and said there was nothing he could do. Instead of getting a $60 order plus tip, they got nothing. Smart business model.

Carmack M.

Yelp
Stoped on our way through Boise, food an service was great. We highly recommend this place

Rocky R.

Yelp
we got a Take out order this last Friday 11/22/19, I made the order for 2 people. when we got the order it was hot freshly cooked and the food tasted great. There was also enough food for 3 people. This is not the first time we have eaten here and will not be the last.

Meagan F.

Yelp
I've been vegan for 30 years and have never been to this place. Why, I have no idea, they nailed my order, I'm very picky and everything was very fresh and delicious. They're gluing to be part of my weekend routine forever

Aja H.

Yelp
This was my first experience with this restaurant. The wontons were the only good thing and they didn't even have cheese or meat they were just fried bread. I tried the potstickers which tasted like they were rubbery peices of garbage pulled out of a microwave (I've had the microwave potstickers from the store they very closely resemble that). The egg roll was alright. But the meat tasted a little off. Then I got to the main course. I ordered chicken lo mein. I'm not a Chinese expert, but I have ordered this dish from at least over 25 different places and its never been anything other than noodles with vegetables and meat with a little sauce on top. This literally came in a cup like a soup. It tasted like they poured a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup (the noodles are the same exact noodles too, those small, over salty, over soft noodles, which ive never seen in lo mein) in with gravy and peanuts. The chicken did not taste good at all i don't know if it's because it soaked in the sauce or what but it tasted off and some of the peices were too chewy. To top it all off, the only vegetable in the dish was mushrooms. A bunch of mushrooms, which I'm not too big of a fan of anyways. Oh , I think there may have been little tiny peices of green onion too, if you count that as vegetables. Overall, worst Chinese place I've ever experienced. The only thing that keeps it going must be the people because the delivery guy was nice and so was the lady on the phone...a little. She didn't end up offering me a refund because it was apparently the right thing I ordered, even though it's not like any I've ever had and it was gross and i wouldnt eat it. She offered me 6.50 to order something else, but tasting 3 of their dishes already, I think its safe to say that I wouldn't even spend that credit because there is nothing there i want to consume. This is the first review ive ever done, i never go online and review a food place but ive never been more angry and disgusted. Worst food I've ever eaten from any restaurant, fast food included.

Shalea B.

Yelp
I had a couple of different menu items form here last night so I'm not too sure which item it is but I am super sick today and have major food poisoning. Throwing up multiple times. I will never eat here again.
google avatar

Aubree S.

Yelp
Excited to see a Chinese restaurant near by. Unfortunately their food is not very good. We had ordered a few different dishes and they were all oily/greasy. Will not be going back.
google avatar

Kaysi B.

Yelp
After reading some reviews my husband and I were pretty hesitant to order but we really are looking for a good Chinese place in southeast Boise. We did an online order and got our food quick. It was huge portions and delicious food. We both enjoyed the pork fried rice, fried shrimp, and mandarin chicken. The egg roll was different but again we loved it. We loved our meal and will be ordering again! Thanks SeasonWok!
google avatar

Lisel S.

Yelp
Friendly and fast service, excellent food. There is nothing fancy about this Chinese restaurant, but if you are looking for great Chinese food you will not be disappointed. here.

Victor S.

Yelp
I'm surprised at the poor experiences of others. I have found the food here to be good plentiful and fairly priced. The place definitely lacks atmosphere and needs some work there, but I have been happy with the food. I have never gotten sick and have eaten lunch here several times and ordered out numerous time. I like their chow mein and for lunch I like the Pepper Chicken and hot and sour soup. I have had very disappointing Chinese food around Boise. Much of it lacks flavor. Season Wok is not top end, but I have mostly found the food to be good. We get their chicken chow mein fairly regularly with no problems.

James R.

Yelp
food so,so but when delivered the pork and seeds did not have the seeds. Also had fried shrimp and egg roll,,,,not a drop of hot mustard,,,wth?? no fortune cookie either so,so food, but bad missing my seeds and mustard,,that ruined it

Kevin W.

Yelp
Unfortunately I cannot give 0 stars. I ordered a delivery and was quoted 45 min. by Tracy, who seemed like he couldn't care less about me as a customer. After an hour I called to check on the order. I was told the order just left. After another 30 minutes I called and asked for the manager. He said the guy may have a few orders with him. He offered me a 20% discount (after I asked for one, since it had been an hour and a half by now) and said he would call the delivery guy and call me right back. The manager never called back. I called again and the girl said he had left with a delivery. She apologized and said she would call him "right now," and let him know I said I wasn't paying what he discounted. Again never heard anything until the delivery guy showed up well over 2 hrs after ordering and tried charging me. He said he can't authorize any other discount even though he said he's the assistant manager. So if you want $7 off of your $40 order. You just have to wait 2 1/2 hours to get it. And after reading these other reviews it does sound like qwik wok with a new name. And qwik wok was absolutely disgusting. So I'm glad I gave the food back to the rude delivery guy and didn't give them a dime of my money.
google avatar

Tim A.

Yelp
Pleased to know that the name has changed. This place is so much better then the other Quik Woks. The servers are friendly and helpful, the food is pretty darn good, the portions are surprisingly very generous. Only negative remark I would have is the bathroom needs a makeover, otherwise I LOVE SEASON WOK!

Bryon C.

Yelp
Not so good. Restaurant was filthy, table tops and drink glasses were sticky to the touch. The food was basic and the egg rolls had a strange flavor. Maybe they were just a variety I have not yet tasted? Restaurant clearly needs some upgrades and clearly posted food inspection rating.

Josh C.

Yelp
Stopped by to eat one evening, spent eight hours in the emergency room early the next morning. Doctors were pretty certain it was food poisoning. Beyond that, food wasn't that great anyway. Visit was on 11/30/17
google avatar

Mike F.

Yelp
Worst Chinese food ever. The pork tasted more than a little off. I took one bite of the fried rice and spit it right back into the container. Even the ice tea tasted like someone had just washed their feet in the jug. Total waste of time and money. Wish they would open a Great Wall on this end of town.
google avatar

Keriden W.

Yelp
So much better than Quick Wok!! Better quality, better customer service and portions are huge! This is our new favorite Chinese place!
