This place is far from your typical sit-down sushi restaurant—it’s a unique, intimate experience where you sit around a main table and get to watch the chef work right in front of you. It’s got that omakase-style charm, and every single bite was incredible. The fish was unbelievably fresh, the quality was top-tier, and the flavor of each dish was so well-balanced and thoughtful. I honestly loved everything I had. On top of that, the service was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something tasty and unforgettable.

I can’t help but to rave about how delicious this was. If you’re going here GET HANDROLLS, I cannot stress that enough. They are the bread and butter and it’s what you want to fill up on or else your bill is going to get very expensive very quick. A little overpriced for what it is to be honest but the experience was well worth it. That being said Blue Crab handroll was dynamite, they also gave us these delicious little cones filled with spicy tuna. This is a place I would take a date that you’re trying to impress.

What the heck is that. On top of that, I am supposed to pay a tip as well. The food is great. Just be aware that you will be assessed an 18% DINE IN SERVICE CHARGE and then you will also have to pay a tip. So this is like a 38% gratuity that you are hit with. Come on really?

Best spicy tuna hand roll. The two times I visited this restaurant didn't feel cramped at all. They had plenty of seating and hooks to hang our bags under the table. The experience eating at the bar is the main attraction. The presentation of the smoked nigiri was fun to witness. The staff will check-in on us from time to time. The sushi is top tier so I suggested this restaurant to my family for my mom's birthday. If you have family members that enjoy good sushi, then they'll enjoy this place. My brother and his fiancé wanted to come back again after we finished our meal. The spicy tuna hand roll comes free with Yelp check-in, but it's worth getting a second because it was my fav! The yellowtail hand roll comes in as a close second. Everything is delicious and I'm definitely coming back.

Went for lunch and the restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday. They only have counter seating so glad it wasn’t busy so we had space between us and the next group of people. There’s definitely a mixture of pricy and moderately priced sushi. I love watching the chefs make each dish which unfortunately makes me want to try everything. Ordered the glazed crispy shrimp, lobster crispy rice, blue crab hand roll, albacore roll, and the seared black cod. Then we saw something cool across the way in a smoker dish. We asked what it was an it was $50 sushi dish. Unfortunately we didn’t want to spend $50 for two pieces of sushi kamatoro but the waiter offered an alternative with the same presentation which was the salmon w/ caviar. Definitely very picture worthy and also tasted fresh with a Smokey flavor. Everything was really good and definitely would go back to try other dishes. It’s not the cheapest sushi but service and food was top notch. Parking is pretty easy too there’s meters right in front but they are full, there’s 2 parking lots right in back of the restaurant.

It’s a place you go for high quality sushi 🍣 The price is on a higher end but you will understand why once you have your first bite. The seat setting is more like a bar. So it has a casual vibe. The art on the wall is very amazing! You must try their handrolls! :)

Overall I had good dining experience, especially I’d like to recommend Seared Scallop Handroll, Bacon Asparagus, and Shiitake Mushroom Robatayaki. Service is great since they will automatically add 18% service fee to all checks. But I do feel overpriced. We didn’t get any drinks but just food. We 2 people ended up being around $160.

NEW FAVE SUSHI BAR UNLOCKED! We went on a Sunday night, party of 4, got seated right away. Service was quick and prompt. The hostesses were friendly. My faves were the spicy tuna rice cakes, spicy scallop hand roll, and the tempura. The hand rolls price is on the higher side BUT the quality and the amount of protein in each roll definitely warrant the price. I can't wait to be back and try the nigiri next!

Best hand rolls in town. Never been disappointed. Great service, great atmosphere and excellent food. Chef Jerob is my favorite there and he has been taking care of us from the day we started going there. It is our go to place and everyone should try. All the chefs are amazing but chef Jerob is our absolute favorite.

My sister took me here for the first time. She raved about this place and oh boy was she right! The whole restaurant is bar seating only so smaller parties are better. There are only barstools with no backing. We were served immediately. The sushi chefs are in front of you making everyone's orders. We ordered multiple rolls and apps. The crispy rice was delicious! My favorite rolls are the Negitoro and Lena. Don't pass up this place!

Came here to celebrate my birthday, nice place, super clean and wasn't that crowded, a bit on the pricey side but totally worth it. Service was excellent every employee kept checking on us. Food was fresh and everything is made in front of you. Will definitely be back.

Excellent evening spent at this establishment. My brother's birthday could not have been spent in a better place. Seaweed always seem to have the freshest fish and the rolls were just outstanding. The spicy tuna hand roll, albacore hand roll with crispy onions and the spicy lobster roll, were especially delicious. This spot also uses the freshest seaweed paper that's crispy every time you take a bite of the hand roll. Just FRESHHHHH! In addition to the rolls, we tried a very tasty steak appetizer. They brought it sizzling on cast iron grill and it was continuing to grill right in front of us. Each bite of steak was better than the last. All of this was thanks to our sushi chef and our waiter Mark, who was nothing short of amazing. Mark was very attentive, kind and knew exactly what dishes to recommend to us. He went above and beyond to make my brother's and mine culinary journey for the evening top notch and we're grateful! The vibe of the spot is very hip, with super cool red colors, awesome trendy wall art and a really cool sushi bar, all while newer R&B hits are playing in the background. Will definitely be back here soon!

Came during a weekend with reservations. Our group was the first ones there so not packed or busy at all. Our friend group each ordered about 3-4 hand rolls each person, shareable starters, and nigiris. I ordered the seared scallop handroll, blue crab handroll, Lena handroll, fried brussel sprouts, and glazed crispy shrimp. BLUE CRAB HANDROLL - My favorite hands down. It was not fishy at all and there was a lot of crab meat. Blue crab are usually hit or miss as some are too fish but this tasted fresh and was filled. SEARED SCALLOP HANDROLL - This was okay. It was recommended by my friend who had been here before but was mediocre to me and nothing special. There were 3 pieces of seared scallop but in terms of flavor did not wow me. LENA HANDROLL - I wanted a salmon handroll but this was just okay. It was too lemony for my liking. Just get a regular salmon handroll. FRIED BRUSSEL SPROUTS - I love fried Brussels sprouts and these were good. It had cauliflower as well which added a different vegetable and texture. I think it was also too lemony but still good. They are heavy handed with lemon. CRISPY GLAZED SHRIMP - this was also a hit! A good shareable dish Almost similar to walnut shrimp in my opinion with the mayo and slightly crisped shrimp. Overall, it's good as the hand rolls were a good size. Parking is only metered street parking which is usually hard to find spot on the weekends or a parking garage a block or so away.

Amazing flavors here, Top Tier quality fishes that are sure to meet and beat expectations. Yes its only a little more pricey but you get what you pay for and it wont let you down. Great friendly staff and the design is fresh and welcoming. Not sure who the owners are but keep up the Greatness.

Very tasty hand rolls. Honestly, I don't think another place has better hand rolls in the Glendale area. The seaweed is very fresh and crispy. Service was overal good but we had to ask a couple of times for the shishido peppers and honestly one of the girls looked straight up depressed. The place itself is nice, but that 18% service charge is kinda' nuts. Not sure if that goes to the waiters or not, but I still had to tip after the service charge. I paid $250 for 2 people, not including the tip that we still had to leave (I do eat a lot, but damn). Pricing can definitely be better

We've been dining here since they opened a few years ago, and it's easily become our favorite sushi spot. I can eat here without worrying about getting sick since I cannot have gluten. The staff and chefs are attentive and knowledgeable! The food is always fresh and delicious and meticulously crafted! The music is always on point and the crowd is great! I highly recommend! We also love to order from here as well! Same great quality fresh food!

Came here on a Friday night with a girlfriend. We had made reservations for 6 PM and unfortunately we were running late. We ended up getting there past 6:30 but they were kind enough to, seat us right away since they were not busy. The place is small so I highly recommend getting a reservation because by 7 PM it was packed! The place itself was decorated really well and I loved that that it was one big round bar table with the sushi being made right in front of you/in the middle by the chiefs. The spicy tuna roll was great and I highly recommend! The albacore hand roll was very good and a great option if you don't want a spicy or citrusy roll. Fried shishito peppers with spicy tuna is a must for an appetizer I highly recommended! The only disappoint was that the yellowtail hand roll was overly salty. Overall the quality of fish was great! Also, the waiter also seemed to rush us a bit to order things more quickly. But given we were late and it was a Friday night I can't take that too much to heart. Add this place to your next sushi stop!

Came in right when it opened. Super great staff and really friendly and professional chefs. The restaurant's vibe is minimalist, clean with an edge. The food was amazing! They really know gluten here and I was able to enjoy the Araz and yellowtail hamachi hand rolls without gluten fear! They gave me tamari but none was needed! They also did the shishito peppers gf and it was divine. The shaved bonito added just enough salt. I wish they carried a house wine- I ordered house sake. It was a hot day and they only had a hot house sake but it was still enjoyable. Will definitely return and you will, too! Thanks, chefs!

Nice ambiance Good service Best hand rolls I've had in LA. Fresh ingredients and crispy seaweed. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for good sushi! The one thing I don't appreciate is the 18% service charge. Not sure what that's for considering we leave a gratuity and the service charge is not for staff.

Their hand rolls are so good. I love their spicy tuna crispy rice, spicy tuna, spicy scallop, spicy lobster, basked snow crab hand rolls. Their sashimi is very good as well - albacore, hamachi, yellowtail. The Lena is also a tasty citrus hand roll. They do have specials as well so make sure got take a look for their sushi and sashimi, etc. The yuzu drink is also yummy - citrusy. FYI they do cut rolls for take out only.

We came in for an early dinner and I have to say that we were very impressed by this beautiful hand roll bar! Place itself is so stylish and open, unlike the usual cramped hand roll bars. We made a last minute reservation and the counter seating was spacious and comfortable enough. Glad the menu had a lot to offer in addition to hand rolls. Hubby and I are not big fans of hand rolls so we needed more items to try. We had toro, bluefin, ankimo and mackerel nigiri sushi, whole uni, wild mushroom soups, spicy tuna rice cakes, salmon skin hand rolls and baked snow crab hand roll. The raw was very fresh, everything tasted yummy in healthy portions. I really loved it that the hand rolls are big ones unlike those tiny ones at Japanese hand roll bars! We also shared bottle of dry cold sake and crème brûlée dessert. They were perfect with our sushi dinner. Our server was so friendly and attentive. All staffs were very pleasant and helpful. I was very satisfied with the top notch service and delicious food! The valet service in front of restaurant was so convenient especially on a cold rainy day. We will definitely visit this amazing hand roll bar again whenever we are in this area!

All the rolls are very SAUCE heavy.. All the seatings are at the bar. Service is fast and friendly. It's a good pace. The ambiance is nice. More upbeat compared to Kazunori. Alcohol selections are limited. - Octopus Shooter 3.8/5 It's very yuzu-y and chewy.. definitely interesting and different from the usual 'shooters.' The octopus pieces are overcooked. - Chicken Karaage 2.6/5 The weird chicken skin pieces just disintegrates in your mouth.. pieces of chicken are not juicy. Would NOT recommend. - Yellowtail Handroll 4.3/5 The yellowtail is almost like a paste texture in your mouth. It has good flavor though and tastes kind of fresh. This was my favorite roll of the night. - Salmon Handroll 4.1/5 It was yummy. The salmon pieces were cut bigger than the yellowtail which was nice. - Blue Crab Handroll 2.4/5 It's mixed with too much mayo? It's very creamy... - Seared Scallop Handroll 2.1/5 The entire Handroll ONLY tastes like Shisho leaf. Cannot taste the sear or the scallop. Parking is street paid parking.

Been here countless times & my only go-to for sushi!! The freshness of their Seaweed is unbeatable & can't compare to any of the local spots! Everything is delicious! Their staff are sweet & chefs are great at what they do! Even their Take out orders are good! Note that you can't get cut rolls at the restaurant, it's only available for take out orders! They're not cheap but trust me when I tell you that every dollar is worth it!

This place amazed me again with their high quality, super fresh and tasty food, and the service was top notch ! Super attentive, friendly and polite staff, kudos to the owner who was also there working really hard and making sure everything was running smoothly. The place was packed with customers but everything was on point and organized. We really wish they had wine in their drink menu. If you don't like seaweed like me, don't be quick to judge and try their hand rolls with seaweed . You'll like it , I promise! Until next time :)

I recently tried this place on a Sunday afternoon. There was no wait to be seated. We ordered 4 hand rolls: the spicy tuna, spicy Scallop, blue crab, yellow tail, and a beer. Every roll was fresh and delicious. I was also able to get a good view of the chef preparing Omakase for other guests. Each piece of sushi was meticulously crafted and looked amazing!!

Eva WAS AMAZING! She greeted me as soon as I stepped foot into the restaurant, and got me seated immediately. She continuously checked on us so we never needed anything. Service is great here! Love the music they play! It's a whole vibe! The sushi was great, really fresh and melted in your mouth... the food was sooo good that I didn't take pics of the food before I devoured it ! I haven't been here in a while and honestly I was a little disappointed. This place is still good, but not as amazing as I remember. Food was great, but nothing exceptional. I was having a hard time finding enough menu items I would want to order. The food was good, sake was great, but the dessert was awful, I can't believe they serve it. Their crepe cake dessert was so great, I'm surprised it's not longer on the menu. Service used to be amazing here, not sure what happened. Hosts are still great, we had a young server that seemed a bit inexperienced, which is ok, what I didn't like is it seemed like he was trying to sell us on the most expensive menu items and I hate people trying to "sell" me on something. I'm here for dinner, just give me honest recommendations, not try to run up my bill for fun.

Great food the service is great. The fish is fresh. Their Togo hand rolls are awesome the seaweed is wrapped in plastic which is removed before eating and it assures the freshest and non soggy wrap.

Love how fresh all of the fish is here! I do wish they had actual rolls you could order when you dine in. More importantly, I have a soy sauce allergy (most places have zero problem accommodating this), but a lot of the stuff here was premixed and so I couldn't try a lot of the menu items. I'd recommend keeping this in mind and adding a few non-soy items to the menu. It is pricey, but service is great and the food is delicious.

Their hand rolls are big! A lot bigger than the ones from Kazunori but also more expensive haha. Everything tasted great but this place is a little pricier than other handroll and sushi places I've been to imo, so keep that in mind. Service was good, all the waiters and chef were nice, when we went it wasn't very crowded. It's all bar seating, and it's right next to another sushi place so be careful not to go into the wrong place as I did.

I literally order from them every week. Their sushi is amazing. We visit frequently as well and absolutely love the atmosphere. The attention to detail is so precise. Each plate is finessed and visually beautiful. Service is always amazing. Staff is quick, energetic, and doesnt miss! Always worth it.

Went there to celebrate friend's birthday. We did Omakase and it was amazing! Food tasted amazing! Such good quality! It was an experience watching the chef create each piece with so much care. And dessert! I really didn't expect much for dessert but it was so yummy! Definitely planning to go back. We were able to make reservation so didn't need to wait. There is a public parking in the back or valet in front of the restaurant.

I walk by this place daily and it's always so busy. I decided to try it for myself and it was delicious. Everything seemed fresh and full of flavor. The waiters were all super sweet and attentive to our needs. We went for lunch so it wasn't as busy as it normally is, which was nice because the space is a little tight given its all bar seating. They play good music and it's a fun atmosphere. There's plenty of street parking and valet (10-15$). I will say this spot is on the pricer side, Im not convinced the meal was worth the price give theres an omekase down the street.

Food is expensive,but really good. Only problem is the staff. Very young people and definitely don't know how restaurants are working lol. I went to pickup 4 times (usually i postmates it) and 4 times they ask like if i need my change ? Last time the bill was 85$,i gave 100$ bill and she asked me if i want my change back. Of course i always tip,but ask 15$ tip for takeout is not okay and not professional. That place need really mature manager.

Had an awesome lunch here! The menu is simple, straightforward and everything is done well! The ingredients are the best of the best. The fish was fresh and the flavors packed a punch! There's a little bit for everyone from Grilled meats (Robatayaki), fried appetizer bites, raw fish (Nigiri, sashimi etc.) and of course some killer hand rolls! Definitely stop by and grab some delicious bites

It's a decent place and the service is absolutely amazing but there is way better sushi out there for a fraction of the price. The music is super loud hip-hop (this could be a pro or a con depending on the vibe you're looking for), the ambiance is trendy (lots of young people, and a modern, clean design), and the sushi chefs/staff are friendly, efficient and attentive. Some highlights of the meal: -Spicy tuna handroll (free with yelp check-in) -Lamb lollipop (asked for it cooked medium rare and it was perfection) -Halibut amanda's way -Crunchy shrimp

This place has amazing food, I was blown away - the Wagyu skewer literally brought a tear to my eye. I also enjoyed the Seared Black Cod and Toro. The atmosphere was fun as well, it definitely had a club kinda vibe. Will be back for sure!

Over prices and low quality. You can't really even tell whats inside hand rolls since they all taste the same and miso soup tasted awful . What's surprising is they automatically charge 18% service fee to our bill even though we were only a table of two!!! I definitely don't recommend this place and will never come back!

I actually really like this place!! The parking wasn't the best but I did find some on the street. You have to pay for parking. Our waiter for the night was a man named Steven, I believe. He knew a lot about the menu, he was super accommodating, he told in which order we should eat our food for a better experience, he was very friendly, he was very generous as well. I liked the soft shell crab. I believe I also got a spicy, tuna, hand roll and that was amazing as well. I want to come here with my mom, she loves sushi! But big shout out to Steven because I should've written this review about a month ago. He really was accommodating and I think he's a great asset to their team. I will definitely come here again!

But this place doesn't need my rating just on how ridiculously good it is! Finally came here after seeing post after post on IG about how amazing the sushi is here; so me and my crew being sushi heads it was time! First the amount of fish to choose from is wild, if you've ever been to Go's mart you know that their selection is huge but I think this place tops it! Haven't even heard of some of the fish they have?! Now to the food delicious! Everything I had was great even things I normally do not eat cause I come for nigiri (crispy rice with spicy tuna) and it was fire! Service here for it being a none stop rotation of customers was spot on, can't ask for better service. Love the ambience and atmosphere here, very neon Japanese with a steam punk feel to it, def a great spot for a date cause it's only bar seating and coming here with a group your probably not talking to some friends lol. Now it is a little pricey but totally worth it IMO, but someone on a budget maybe just do à la cart but with so many great choices it's very hard. Overall amazing experience and I will be back thank you for the great food

After dining here 2nd time trying to give it another try, this will definitely be my last! Found long nasty hair in our food!! Ruined entire party appetite so we will never return again! Hope they are keeping it clean in the kitchen because from where the hair came from it doesn't seem they are so clean!

The ambience is fantastic, great setting for a date night. We went in between lunch and dinner and there were only 2 other guests at the bar. There were two sushi chefs but the order we placed took soooo long. The food is delicious, but the food took way too long to arrive and we felt the value wasn't there. I really wanted to love this place, especially since I'm a sushi fanatic, but not sure I'd return

What does a couple do when they are without their toddlers in a Monday? Go to Seaweed! It was our first time here and wow! Why did we wait? Oh right we have kids. Ok so the staff is so nice and hooked us up with some delicious freebies. What a great experience. The hand rolls were delicious, my favorite was the blue crab and albacore (glazed shrimp was also delicious). Not a fan of the leaf they put in the seared scallop hand roll but when I took it out it was great. The wagyu and lamb lollipop were so good we had to get a second order. Cristy rice sampler was great. Kanpachi was so tender and flavorful. Then the desserts... crème brûlée and the Greek pudding was a perfect ending. Give this place a try if you haven't yet! It's just too good!

More than a handroll bar, and their execution of a well-balanced handroll is by far a very good dining experience. Excellent decor, fabulous service, and quality cuts of seafood are the savor of this restaurant. It was just difficult to swallow delicious sushi while waiting for the bass to drop. At this price point, the ambiance certainly does not suit the delicate flavors nor have any balance of what Japanese cuisine really is. Let us just state that there is absolutely no Zen going on here. Expect to shell out nearly $100 per person with drinks along with the inclusive 18% service charge.
