Google
I was absolutely blown away by this spot! First, the beer was great! It's hard to find good UK beer, and their bitter was outstanding! I really enjoyed the UK Porter as well. The alien burger was a huge standout! Truly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time... And I eat far too many. The location was cool, and our server was even better! Catherine (I think) was so cool and welcoming to my kids, and knew all of the perfect nerdy things around town for us to check out while visiting! I can't recommend Second Street enough. A surprising highlight of the trip!

Went on a Sunday so knew it was going to be crowded bc of the farmers market. It's definitely a touristy spot and the menu tries to cover a lot of ground so there is something for everyone. We tried the green chili philly and a small side salad (casaer). The philly was OK, but mostly the green chile part was good, the steak was a bit under seasoned. Another person in our group got a patty melt and didnt seem so thrilled. Service was very good for how busy it was. For the prices, its definitely OK in a pinch but with a little more planning we could have found a better spot.

The food is good. I’ve been there three times and have enjoyed the food each time. However, the restaurant is starting to show some signs of age. The back corner 2 person high tops near the entrance to the kitchen are not desirable tables. Seeing the dirty floors and dirt stained and damaged walls leading into the kitchen makes a person wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. The bathrooms are also in need of attention. I’ll be willing to wait for a table at one of the other busier restaurants in the area next time.

Ate here a few months ago. March 2024. First time here. Found on Yelp. Yelp never does me wrong. This place was great. It was real busy but we got seated quick. Loud Noisy pub sounds but it was ok. Staff was friendly. Good was great !! After that pretzel I honestly could’ve split my meal with husband or mother. I’d eat here again.

I once took a road trip coast-to-coast across the USA on a quest for the perfect bacon-cheese-burger. The testing scale was intricate, from quality, texture and toasting of the bun, cooking temp (hardcore medium-rare for me) to type of meat (grease to moisture ratio), proper melting of the cheese, crispness of bacon; and yes, the fries count as well, as do the pickles and quality of garnishes, and understanding not to put the top bun on so I can garnish without interfering with the cheese (duh). Finally, there’s the quality of the beer that accompanies my burger. And so the scale goes. I eventually found a burger somewhere in NorCal that took the number 9/10 spot. I don’t give 10’s. At least I didn’t until I started eating at 2nd St. Brewery. I now give 10’s. Only to one place in USA. I just gave one to them yesterday. Now… a couple disclaimers. Depending who’s on the grill the cooking temps might vary. My wife and I have a very complicated order. (I’m skeptical of servers who don’t write ours’ down) but they’re usually right on. However, we have now learned to say, “if it’s not med-rare I’ll need to send it back”. I know. I suck. But there’s a reason. Firstly when getting a $$$$ burger (my adds add up), I’m paying for what I want so I should get it. But mainly it’s because a 2nd St. burger is a mystical experience. Every aspect is perfect. So I’ve become spoiled. And the beer is heaven. Rod has been refining his art for decades and is a true master. Main problem with 2nd St. Brewery burgers is once you’ve had one, there’s no going back. Coast to coast, world over (not exaggerating) you’ll spend a life-time comparing all burgers to these. My wife and I are constantly saying, “yeah, it’s pretty good…. Ain’t no 2nd St. tho”) Oh! Remember to add the green-chile. *Note the Gluten Free GF buns are really good. Recommend asking for it toasted if you’re ok with a little potential cross-contamination.

Google
The brewery was very clean and fair amount of sitting area. The beer was good and they really like the IPA”s. The burgers and fry’s was top notch I had the green chile Philly cheesesteak and it was great. I would definitely go back if I’m in that area again.

Echo was a fantastic tastebud tour guide. We had driven all night from Austin and were crazy hungry. Excellent suggestions. Fast service. Food was quick and incredibly flavorful. Thank you for our first great SF meal!

Yelp
4 of us tried this spot for a few drinks and some apps. The nachos were tasty, the crab cakes were very good, the pretzel was hot & tasty and the Caesar salad was fresh & good. Beers were on point BUT.. my wife and I made the mistake of ordering the Mojito on tap. We each took two or three sips and decided there was no way we were going to drink anymore.. We've had a lot of Mojitos and this was not even close.. There was no mint, questionable if there was any alcohol as it just tasted like a generic lime aid.. Other than that, we enjoyed our meal and our server was very friendly and attentive

Yelp
If you're in Santa Fe and looking for a spot that offers outstanding food and a vibrant atmosphere, Second Street Brewery at The Railyard is a must-visit! We were blown away by the quality of the food, starting with the homemade tortilla chips paired with a perfectly tangy green tomatillo sauce. The Jalapeño Poppers were a standout--hand-battered and oozing with cheese, they made any other poppers pale in comparison. We also sampled several beers, each one more delicious than the last. The 2920 IPA was a particular favorite--crisp, hoppy, and full of flavor. It's clear that the brewery takes its craft seriously. Even the locals know what's up, often ordering food to go along with a four-pack of beer, which says a lot about the quality here. This is not your usual bar food; it's elevated, thoughtful, and absolutely delicious. The vibe at Second Street Brewery is fun and energetic, with a great mix of locals and visitors. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, from the food to the drinks to the lively conversation. Definitely worth a trip if you're in Santa Fe!

Yelp
The Railyards location is like "Cheers" ... a lot of activity, personal service and a tasty Cream Stout

Yelp
The food and beers at Second Street are always excellent. I tend to prefer the food at this location more than Rufina. I am excited that they now offer the jalapeno poppers at this location. Received excellent service at this location at my birthday. We rarely go to a place where all of us are happy with our food and they delivered. There was lots of great artwork from local artists displayed too.

Yelp
To be honest, the first couple of times I went here, I wasn't impressed. I thought the fish & chip were too greasy & a bit bland... AND we're trying to eat healthier so "bar food" just wasn't healthy enough. But recently, we discovered their Chicken Cobb Salad! The tables have turned! It's HUGE, FRESH & ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I LOVE the citrus vinaigrette dressing! This & a beer are the PERFECT MEAL! I usually get 2 meals from it, so it's also a GREAT VALUE! We are here 3 times last week! If we happen in when there is live music, it's an ADDED BONUS! And dogs are allowed on the patio!

Yelp
Delicious brewery spot, in a really cool area. I've been to Santa Fe a few times and never knew about this area of restaurants and stores. It feels like a little neighborhood. I went in the winter- and foot traffic was lower reflecting that. I'm sure in the summer months the corridor is packed. The restaurant allowed my group to eat outside & made it more comfortable with outdoor heaters and a server that came to us. They had a good number of vegetarian options! I got the vegetarian Reuben & really enjoyed it. We also got a pretzel appetizer.. the cheese was good, the pretzel just seemed like a typical frozen one. Not horrible, but just basic. I look forward to coming back again to bop around the restaurants around.

Yelp
Great food and beer if you're visiting the Santa Fe Depot/Railyards area. The brewery was packed when we first arrived and we still managed to get a table quickly. Our server was excellent, though she had many tables she always made sure we had everything we needed. Good vibes, and a cool spot to stop at if you plan to ride the train! This was my third time here and I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Fun pub with just what you'd expect on the menu; burgers, fish and chips, tomato soup, grilled cheese. All the comfort foods and local brew on tap. Their sour. (low winter sun) was very good. The sloth ( a hazy IPA) has an herbaceous finish, interesting. Definitely worth trying. We were greeted as soon as we entered. Our waiter was very accommodating. The pub has a very suburban pub vibe. We liked it
google avatar

Judith M.

Yelp
Outside in the patio you are spot on the plaza- great people watching and in the summer, front row for free music! Service- shout out to Echo who made us feel welcome, answered our 100000000 questions and was on task. Beer- wth with the review that the cider was gross? The table next to us doubled down on it & I thought it was quite ok. MoF, We had 6 4oz pours and none of them sucked. I got 16 oz of the Pilsner to go with the fish and chips (queso & chili on the side bc NM) and it was perfections.

Yelp
Great staff. I mean great! Took my crew here daily during a work event that kept us in walking distance for several days. They were busy, but always very kind and understanding and amazingly on top of our multiple modified orders. Also, we never ran out of tea. None of us. The food is also very good. I loved the chile Philly and the fish and chips, especially. I do miss the original Second Street Brewery, but I was happy to have so many days in a row of great experiences with this one. I'll have to swing by for a beer, after work.

Yelp
They have pints of BITTER ... enough said!! The food is great as well. It is gastrointestinal-pub faire and plan to relax.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch. We had less than an hour and the server Power to the Pita and side salad. The pita was large and the fillings were so fresh. The salad was a decent size. They have a large selection of beers and wines. Our server was very attentive and not offended when we told him we were in a bit of a rush. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Yelp
I loved the flights of various sizes! It worked perfect as I wanted to try two different types of drinks. I was with a large group and we wanted to try a variety of items, so we opted for ordering multiple appetizers. The wings and jalapeño peppers were my favorite on top of having great service.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
The appetizers were good and the beers were great. Don't order the mojito. It is not what you expect - Tastes horrible and no mint

Yelp
We had a large group for lunch there this week. The food was wonderful and the service was superb. The manager, Matt, really helped us set up our lunch. We will definitely visit this restaurant again because everyone enjoyed it very much. We highly recommend it.

Yelp
A laid back atmosphere with very good food, a wide selection of their craft beers, and good service despite being busy. We've been twice and will go back again.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by yesterday to enjoy some food and drink. When we got there the place was full and there were no tables available. We asked the host if we could wait for a table and he said he would write our name down. When my friend asked how long it would take, he sarcastically said, "however long it takes for people to finish eating." I think he caught himself because he sajd "should be like 10 minutes." My friend and I stayed right next to the host desk and noticed people coming in. I assumed they were sitting at the bar and continued waiting. About 20 minutes later we saw him let a family sit at one of the open tables. My friend walked up to the host area to ask about the table and he greeted her like he had never seen her. She saw that there were about 4-5 empty tables and reminded him we had been waiting for a table. All he said was "oh...sorry" and sat us down. My friend had to finish lunch early to run back to the car and put more money in the meter since we had to spend about 20 minutes just waiting to be seated. I informed our waitress about the situation and she told me that the host was actually the manager. So, it's clear to see that the manager doesn't care about providing any sort of decent service and he didn't so much as try to make up for this mistake. I doubt that they care, but we will definitely not come back as there are so many other breweries that offer much better service and food. I'll make sure friends and family know about the terrible service and lack of respect for their customers' time so they don't waste their time or money in this establishment.

Yelp
Awesome local brewery! I just came for a drink, but noticed some of the food people were eating looked amazing such as waffle sweet potato fries. I got the cherry cider which was smooth, sweet and refreshing! I noticed they have a lot of gluten free options here, including beer. Good location by the rail way with indoor and outdoor seating!

Yelp
We enjoyed a good lunch on the patio during the Farmer's Market. The service was good and the food overall was good. I had the green chile cheeseburger and tots. The Cajun tots didn't seem Cajun at all. They were fine but disappointed that they were just regular tots. The burger was flavorful and I would order again. This wouldn't be my go to for a green chile cheeseburger, but it was good. My daughter and son got the kids meals and had larger side portions then our adult meals. All in all an ok place to grab lunch, but won't be my go to.

Yelp
Cool bar / restaurant in The Railyard area of Santa Fe. We got there early in the evening on Dec 26 (around 5pm I think), and so glad we did. Seating is first come, first serve and with the 7 of us that's not easy anywhere you go. Thankfully we found 2 tables near each other as folks were leaving as we walked in. By 5:30pm this place was slammed and a couple groups of people waiting in the small entry to find a table open up. Service was a tad slow since they seemed short staffed.... I think the host was also the order taker for 2/3 of the restaurant. Poor guy was running ragged. Most of our order for the 7 of us was correct.... they made it right after a few tries. We were a bit bummed... the taps were down since the system was having issues, but they still had several in cans available. What I (personally) enjoyed... they had wine on the menu too! I'm not a huge beer drinker.... I like to try it and will have one every now and again... but I'd rather drink wine. They had a GREAT Pinot Noir from Chile. I highly recommend it. The food was very tasty! I had the veggie pita and it was loaded with fresh greens, cucumbers, tomatoes and I added portabello mushrooms which they piled high. They don't skimp so I was very impressed. I opted for the tater tots as my side... again they don't skimp. There was enough tots for 3 people. They were nice and crispy too... just the way I like them. YUM! The rest of our party ordered a bunch of other stuff... again... plentiful dishes. You really shouldn't be hungry after.... unless you didn't eat.

Yelp
I really liked this place. Great location, good prices, good food, and good service. What more can you ask for from a brew pub?

Yelp
Put it simply, I just really enjoyed this place! We had a very attentive waitress. It took her a while to get to our table, but once she was there, she took very good care of us. After reading some reviews, I guess they let you settle in for a minute before rushing your order. This place had a good vibe, good energy, and lots of sun and air conditioning! It was open, bright, and had the game on! There were families, and hipsters, people with dogs on the patio, and everything in between. Everything you want for a casual dining experience. In a brewery you always start with the pretzel. If they can do the pretzel well, they can do most things well. Just a touch of salt to get your beer drinking palate ready. They nailed it! The nachos on the table next to us was HUGE! The entire family was sharing it, and we almost got it... but we didn't. After a place up the street where everything tasted the same, we needed some real food to help us! The alien burger was ridiculous! If you are looking at it, get it! You won't be disappointed! An Entire cheese relleno on this thing! Queso, chilies, fried onion strings, SOOOO GOOOD! If you are into chicken, the Tesuque Grandma, is crazy big! Hanging over the bun with fried deliciousness! It may not be Ch'kfil'a on a Sunday good, but it's close enough to make you get in here! My wife had the Philly. If you read my other review for Philly's nearby, this was total REDEMPTION!!! Toasted bread, stacked full of shaved sirloin (who needs bison anyway), loads of mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers, and that awesome queso! At $14 (not $40) this thing was OUT OF THIS WORLD, and blew the competition completely out of the water! I got out ordered! Which rarely happens. The Ruben is the Bomb! But the other stuff is really good too!! Oh hey... BTW... they are a brewery too! :) 5 STARS for doing it right, great food, great beer and great service!

Yelp
Grabbed a table on the patio and wished we could have stayed longer! Beer and wine selections were great, food was delicious, and the weather was perfect. Service was laid back, but not in a bad way. Parking is a little difficult in the Railyard area, but it was worth circling the blocks a few times to get a space. Will return if we're back in Santa Fe!
google avatar

Ruth C.

Yelp
We were trying to find a different brewery near the Railyard but couldn't manage to find it. So we saw the Second Street Brewery and headed there. The service was ok. Bartender was a little slow. There were about 10 of us all around the bar and it took a while to get a drink. They have a good selection of beer and I tried the cider (7% alcohol? Woooo). I took a couple sips and it was ok but not something I'd order again. Food was just ok. My husbands spicy chicken sandwich was dry. He had to douse it with dressing. I had the fish and chips. It was ok, but you only get 2 small pieces of fish with the half size order... and it was too expensive (in my opinion) for what I got. We wouldn't go back.
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
Came here for dinner, wife had the alien burger, I had the fish and chips. Both were really good. So much so that we decided to come back a second time and we both switched our meals. And those were satisfying as well. Then, because I liked the 2920 IPA we ended up here for a third time (long vacation) and the Cobb salad was even good. Yeah, it might be a touristy area because it is in the Railyard, but this was a solid choice every time.
google avatar

JoAnn H.

Yelp
Great service. The fries and wings are very good. I enjpyed the malt vinigar on the table with my fries. I had a flight, and all were good. The cream stout was my favorite. Hubby enjoyed the IPA's.

bootlover f.

Yelp
Food was really good! The green chili cheese burger was top notch. Beer was good, not great for someone that doesn't love hoppy IPA's... Service was better than expected, restaurant was packed and Mike did a great job of managing! Burger was delicious! The staff up front was not very welcoming... maybe just stressed... it was a Saturday during Farmers Market. Waiter, Mike, was great! They need to clean the windows, wipe everything down and make it feel clean

Yelp
Went there with my family. Enjoyed a Reuben and some tots. Gotta love a solid bar with good food and tots. I tots enjoyed it.

Yelp
Nice dining experience with good drinks, decent food. Got the house hard seltzer which was great for a hot summer day, and fish n chips which was delicious. Great location in the Santa fe railyard district.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. One of the best burgers in Santa Fe! Great take out process.

Yelp
I have been to Second Street Brewery dozens of times and have never had a disappointing meal. The turkey wrap, the chile Phily steak sandwich and the fish and chips are all fantastic. It's nice to have the choice of regular French fries or tasty waffle-cut sweet potato fries with burgers or sandwiches. The service at Second Street is also friendly, attentive and professional. Very good prices for high quality meals. Oh yea, and then there is the incredible selection of craft beers and ale!!
google avatar

Yelp
Came from out of town to check this place out and was not disappointed! Ended up getting a flight of pretty much every beer they had to offer, couldn't really go wrong with any of them but the Oktoberfest was really really good. Dennis was super attentive the whole time and was giving his thoughts and walking us through our flight as well. The setting lines up right there on the railroad tracks was super unique and I want to go back during the day when all the trains are running. A definite must return!

Yelp
Man, I've been hitting up 2nd Street Brewery at the Railyards in Santa Fe for a while now, and it's usually my go-to lunch spot, even if it's a bit pricey. But today? Ugh, it was a train wreck. I grabbed a seat at the bar, excited to have a nice lunch. Ordered myself an iced tea and a Caesar salad with chicken. First thing, I had to get up and hunt down a sugar packet for the tea because the bartender didn't offer any - not a great start, but I was still in a good mood, ya know, lunch break and all. Then came the salad, and oh boy, it was drowning in dressing. I took one bite and decided to flag down the server, who was busy chatting away with some regulars at the bar. After what felt like forever, I finally got his attention and explained the salad situation. He just took it away without saying a word. I figured they were fixing it since I didn't hear otherwise. About ten minutes later, he strolls back over, totally indifferent, and asks if I want something else or if I'm "good." I'm like, "Dude, I thought you were redoing my food?" He doesn't say squat and looks at me like I'm some kind of nuisance. By then, I was done with the whole deal, so I said, "My lunch break's almost up; bring me the check." He does and slaps me with a $3.25 charge for the iced tea I never got a refill for - it was empty most of the time I was there. What made this whole mess even worse was how different he treated other customers who weren't Hispanic. They got smiles and great service, but when it came to me, it was like he had a problem. Left me feeling puzzled and wondering what I did to deserve it. I usually love coming here for lunch - it's close, easy, and the food's good. But this experience just soured it for me. I can't help but think of this mess every time I consider going back. It's a real bummer because I showed up hungry, didn't get to eat, got treated poorly, and basically wasted my whole lunch break for a $3.25 cup of iced tea. I hope they can step up their customer service game because I'd like to see this place get back to being the cool spot I thought it was. Perhaps maybe you can send the bartender (he had a British or Australian accent, I couldn't pick up on it because he was very short with me) to a sensitivity training. I don't think he realized that his attitude and behavior got under my skin as much as it did.

Yelp
Perfect spot for a beer, some grub, or both. This place gets busy! Came here on a Saturday after browsing the vendors at the farmers market, located right next door. A very cool spot at the Railyard and full of super nice people, where even the employees look artsy. I was only feeling peckish so I had a cup of soup (chile pork stew) and a local porter. The soup came with a fresh tortilla and was very delicious and full of flavor. The Porter was sweet and multi, to be expected. I enjoyed the vibe of this restaurant. Seemed like it was designed for both locals and tourists in mind. Great spot to people watch as well. Stop in here when you're around The Railyard!

Yelp
Came in for drinks and some food and even though the service was a little slow at first, our waiter came by and got our drinks right away. He was attentive and great energy. The look and feel of this brewery is everything you want for a casual night or day out. They even allow dogs too!! I ordered the chicken meatballs with the peanut sauce and my husband ordered the nachos and we can't say we were disappointed. The nachos came stacked! Definitely a great shareable dish! Guacamole, sour cream, pico de Gallo, cheese and black beans. It was so good! The breading on the chicken meatballs were a bit over cooked, but the chicken on the inside was moist and delicious. Very well seasoned! It definitely has a little bit of heat, but won't faze any seasoned person with a taste for heat. The peanut sauce compliments the meatballs so well and helps bring out the taste. If I lived out here, definitely a spot I'd come often to, and I recommend this spot to anyone just looking for something casual and chill to come and have a beer and some good food. It does have a very small wine selection for anyone that doesn't drink beer (like me ‍) , but to be fair, this is a brewery not a winery. De

Yelp
We went Friday at lunch and had a party of 9. It wasn't too busy which was perfect. Our waiter was on point and all our food came out as ordered. I had fish & chips which was delicious and generous portion. I can't recall what everyone had but we all left happy with full belly's.

Yelp
Seems like Second Street has slipped back a little over the past couple of years. Food ok, although the fish in the "fish and chips" had a lot more coating than fish. Beer selection and quality down a notch from previous.

Yelp
Really sub par service. Snobby "hip" type staff with no regard to quality service and were annoyed to be asked for a single thing they failed to offer. Average food.

Yelp
Food was mediocre, a couple of vegan options and the New Mexican enchiladas were just ok but easily made vegan. The guest tap cherry cider was so disgusting, we had to send it back because it was undrinkable, even by two people who hate wasting. It was like drinking cough syrup, and we were charged for it.. not good service. Not many options for beer in the first place. I guess this is why Santa Fe is not known for it's breweries! Music and fries were good. Usually don't leave bad reviews but I definitely recommend eating anywhere else

Yelp
Great service! The alien burger was massive. Had the cider on tap that was a sangria and it was delicious.

Yelp
We don't know if the food is good. We were told my our hotel manager that they were "extremely dog friendly" We get there after paying for parking only to find out they only allow service dogs. They offered to sit us on the patio with our dog tied up outside the patio barrier. We understand if a restaurant is not dog friendly, but even their Yelp profile says they are. They are not. Went to Boxcar around the corner. No issues with our dog.

Yelp
We have been here a few times in the past and it has been a decent place to eat; however, when we visited this establishment today, their women's restrooms were extremely dirty. If this is anyway they upkeep their restaurant, you may reconsider eating here as their kitchen may be just as dirty.

Yelp
Great service, drinks, location and food. Walking distance from the Rail Runner. Perfect place to hang out until your train comes. My only qualm, not enough cider options. Our waitress was very attentive. Cute place!

Yelp
Went here with high hopes. Waiter could not get the order correct after telling him three times. Staff was generally unfriendly. I guess they don't like tips. Finally got a simple hot dog but this place doesn't even have relish or any sides for such a common menu item. Wifes Beer flight was okay. Waiter brought me a 16 oz instead of the 4oz I asked for. Maybe I'm spoiled to California level of service. Next visit to Santa Fe we won't go to this place.

Yelp
Rotten vegetables served. The one burger i used to get, is gone. Everything else tried is not worth it

Yelp
Good food and fresh cold beer in the Railyard. I was there for lunch with a client that suggested the Second Street because the menu has a varied menu, beers (NA and others) and a good place to have a conversation. It's a laid back atmosphere but quiet enough for an intimate conversation.
