Secret Burger Kitchen Tacoma Smash Burgers

The customer service was exceptional. The food was a bonus on top. My son raved about the burger and the quality was superb. My mother was beyond impressed with the customer service and her wings. I have to say the smash burger was definitely noteworthy of ordering again. I/we recommend anyone who is looking to enjoy an exquisite burger, along with a commendable menu selection, and excellent customer service. Check it out, I don’t think you will regret it!

We were in the area so we decided to check this place out. I went with the double smash and fries. The burger was good. Perfectly cooked burger, the fries were crispy and fresh. The fry sauce was good it had a little bit of spice which I did like. The service was good the staff were nice and welcoming. There was plenty of parking and the inside was nice and clean and they also have a few tables outside. Over all the food was good but I think it was pricey. $17 for double burger and fries without a dink.

I had a really great time at the is place. This was the Tacoma location. The service was awesome!! And they had outside sheeting which was nice. The time me and my boyfriend went it wasn’t too busy which was good. We got two different milkshakes and they were so yummy and the food was amazing I loved how crispy the fries were too!! One of the owners even came out and spoke with us for a bit and I thought that was so genuine and thoughtful I’d definitely recommend!:)

I had heard some good things about Secret Burger Kitchen so I set out to see for myself. The location is within the Holiday Inn Hotel off of 84th on Hosmer. Not the most upscale of areas so it really surprised me how much this dining experience cost me. The staff was great. A young lady showed me the kiosk that you can order and pay through. The order (a signature 1/3 lb cheese burger with bacon and a chop Philly cheese. Both came with fries) came quickly and was nicely packaged for takeout. It was still plenty hot eating it at home. The quality and taste was a solid 8 out of 10 so I was happy that what I had heard about the place was accurate. Unfortunately I won't be going back. The meal we had (which I will simply cook at home next time) rang up after a 15% tip to nearly $45. Come on, guys. I mean, $25 would have kept me coming back from time to time to try other menu items. But nope. The place was clean and the food is good. Price? smh

Whoa baby!!! These smash burgers are legit!!! Finally, a seasoned patty! Tasty. Crispy. Delicious. It's located in the bottom of a hotel, which is genius! Easy to order from the kiosk. Get your receipt and find a seat. It was ready pretty quick and a feast for the eyes. That crispy edge beef lace peeked beyond the bun and straight to yum town!

My food was Gluten-free as requested. Burger was delicious. Wife says the GF fries are better than their regular fries. Our meal was to go. Food ready on time. Will definitely order again.

I got into town in the evening the other day and was starving. This place came up with pretty decent ratings. It felt a little strange it was in the holiday inn hotel, but I walked in and figured it out. Atmosphere was nice. They had the game on. Clean place. Waitress was friendly and brought out drinks over right away. My daughter a dirty soda? That was pink and it was delicious. Food was delicious. I got the Philly with fries and she got a chicken sandwich and we got the hot honey burger to try too because it sounded intriguing. Fries were on point

Secret burger kitchen is serving up some solid smash burgers in Tacoma! Love the wings and fries as well. Not a big fan of there shakes. Is is just me or does the Seattle location hit different lol?

I had noticed a lot of social media hype around Secret Burger Kitchen long before I tried them, so they've been on my radar for a while. Once I was finally in the Lakewood area I made sure to make a trip there to see if they would live up to expectations. I placed an online order, and I received my order from a friendly worker inside. Even though they are located inside a hotel, they have their own dedicated section with seating. I kept it simple for my first time, ordering a "signature bacon smashburger" with two patties. This was a very tasty burger, perfectly smashed seasoned patties, crispy bacon, a solid burger sauce and buns. So far this is the best smashburger, and my favorite overall burger that I have had in the Tacoma area. They have a lot of interesting items on their menu so I'm excited to try more things my next visit.

Updating my review after craving a burger and coming across the Maharaji Burger with garlic sauce syringe and the It Was All A Dream secret soda. An Indian spiced burger with garlic aioli and an orange cream soda?! Yes please! The spice on the Maharaji is perfect, mixed with the cucumbers, onions, cilantro, white cheese and garlic aioli is satisfying and tasty. I hope they keep this on their regular menu!

I've never been to a burger place Inside a hotel before lol but we found Secret Burger Kitchen and I got 1/3lb bacon smashburger with fries and a Dr pepper. This smash burger was super good and it was cooked to perfection. The fries were nice and crunchy and not overcooked. I really enjoy SBK and hope we get to come back again one day and try another smash burger because they are that damn good.

Great food the size of the burger is great for the higher cost you will pay for the burger. Quality ingredients. 15.00 for my double burger add bacon ala carte' this restaurant is conveniently located right off the freeway ramp in central Tacoma. Customer service today was very good. This place is very clean and has a variety of different food and desert options. The ambiance is family friendly. I appreciate they have a partial bar as well but I must say the lemon drop drinks for example are almost as much as the burger alone. So this place is pricey on the higher end for a burger joint but I really enjoying coming here.

It is surprising that this is in a hotel lobby, but it was fantastic. I had their signature burger. I tend to go with bacon and barbecue sauce. The fries were fantastic. Service was quick hundred percent yes for me.

Secret Burger Kitchen no longer needs to be a secret as it has some of the best smash burgers around and the fries are a hit too. I've had several including the vegetarian impossible beef smash burger and it's all been amazing! They have it set up so easily to order on kiosks in the lobby of the Holiday Inn where you can dine in or you can go to their website and order for pickup. These smash burgers are a must try so give them a visit and see for yourself. Amazing menu and amazing food.

Secret Burger Kitchen is in quite an unexpected location in Tacoma. It is inside of the Holiday Inn on Hosmer street. With it being conveniently located in a hotel, parking is not an issue here. I drive by almost every day and there is plenty of parking at all times of the day. I felt out of place entering the Holiday Inn to find the Secret Burger Kitchen, but all the staff there were friendly and welcoming. It's located right across the hotel lobby check in desk, so it's easy to find. On the outside of the seating area, there is a self-ordering kiosk. I am a big fan of self-ordering kiosk as it gives me time to look over the menu before ordering. I liked that there was pictures of the items, too! Super helpful! My sister and I ordered the Two Classic 1/4 Pound Smash Burgers w/ Cheese Box & Fries with pickles slices in both of the smash burgers, for $22! We had a promo discount and it made out total only $19.41! Very solid burger and fries. I would definitely come back again!

After searching reviews on this app I chose to try this Secret Burger Kitchen. I asked the server what one of the best burgers in his opinion and for the life of me I cannot remember the name of it however it had cilantro and cucumbers with other dressings. The burger was perfect in every aspect! My only mistake was not ordering a double. The fries were good. They have different choices of sauce to go with your burger and fries, I picked the house and it paired perfectly with my meal. The picture doesn't do it justice. I'll definitely be back to try the other burgers and bar as well.

It was a little odd walking into a hotel lobby to find the best burger in town, but Secret Burger Kitchen is it! Don't sleep on this place, the burgers are outstanding, and the creativity in the milkshakes is a lot of fun!

Salty, very very salty. Service was above the norm. Ambiance is like a fast food place that is above the rest.

It's nice to have a nice place like this in an area that so badly needs it. Good food, great service. Clean seating area. My only complaint is that it is pretty expensive, for a place where you order yourself, AND pay yourself at a kiosk and seat yourself, it just seems like the prices would be more reasonable. $33 dollars for two 1/4 pound burgers, fries, and two ice waters. ... food was good though... I hope this place is successful, but unfortunately I don't see there being an audience in the surrounding area that can afford to support those prices. I hope I am wrong.

Now I understand why they call it secret smash burger its cause the location is in a very strange spot. This hidden gem is in a hotel lobby. We order from the kiosk sat down and our drinks were already pretty much done. My secret pink drink was so yummy then not even 5 minute later our food was on our table. I will say the smash burger was very good and loved the fries. Highly recommend trying this secret place out.

I wish Yelp offered 1/2 stars because 3 1/2 stars is more fitting than 3 but I just cannot give SBK 4 stars. Husband had a Signature Smash bacon burger and the Unicorn Crunch shake. He liked the burger and shake. I took a sip- it wasn't that thick- it got runny pretty fast. Husband liked the Fruity Pebbles though. I ordered the Signature Smash Cheeseburger and fries. The burger was really good - it is nice you can personalize your burger ( although it adds up ). If you want sauce for fries, you pay for it- only option is for 2 for 1.00 yet you only need one for the small amount of fries you get- which is fine because although they were crispy- the coating or taste of them are not my fave type of fries (I think most of us have our preferences so nothing wrong or awful with SBK fries- just not my preferred kind). What should get 4 to 5 stars is the staff! Super friendly & helpful! The restaurant was clean. Downside is that the cost is a bit high for the food with zero ambiance. I also understand that higher prices is just the new norm. I think it is an expensive place to take the family though. I don't think I would go out of my way to eat here but I wouldn't rule it out if in the area. It should give the Holiday Inn a boost to have tasty burgers on the premises. If you are in the area, give them a try!

Incredible tasting burgers. My new burger spot! They have a bar and a lot of seating areas to smash your hunger. I especially liked the chard taste on the patty. I will be back.

The first time I came here I just thought oh wow this is a hidden gym since it's located inside of a hotel and when I researched nachos near me and found this place I actually didn't know it was located inside a hotel. I started to be sketch, but decided to still give it a try I went in. It was very nice. Ambience was great so I ordered on the screen and got nachos and a burger the nachos and burger were really good and I thought I have to come back with My husband and i did come back with my husband and I don't know it just wasn't as good as the first time But it just tends to be like that sometimes but the service is great. I've tried a few different items and I definitely don't like the chicken sandwich because it taste like McDonald's chicken sandwich but cost lot more. But the nachos is really good

From our server Lisa, to the bomb homemade sauce, this place was legit!! Such amazing service and wonderfully delicious food! Randomly stopped in on our way home to Oregon and so happy we did! Only pics of dessert because we scarfed food!

Another shout out to Secret Burger Kitchen in Tacoma, Washington. I have to keep complementing them. They really take pride in how they prepare the food. They're not stingy with the meat. The presentation is beautiful. The sandwiches are delicious. It's always very hot. I love ordering from there because I know exactly what I'm going to get. I'm giving them their flowers on all platforms because they deserve it and I appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Don't let the somewhat strange feeling location (inside a Holiday Inn just off I-5 in South Tacoma) fool you or scare you away. Had the chance to meet Shay Pate and one of her staff members and walked away impressed and ready to return. Impeccably clean restaurant for dining in (it's essentially the hotel's bright and comfortable breakfast room) and delicious burger. Honestly, the star of the basket was the fries. Deliciously crisp, not greasy, and the perfect side to the yummy burger. It's worth the stop and return visits. Congrats to Shea and her team celebrating being in business for just over a year.

In the lobby of the Holiday Inn you will find a kiosk where you can place your order for Secrete Burger Kitchen. The burgers are made in the same kitchen as Toast to Toast Restaurant and Bar. Very cool concept because you get the best of both worlds. Toast to Toast has a full bar serving cocktails, beer, wine and a menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. The restaurant looks freshly renovated with warm colors, new upholstery and modern chairs and tables. Very clean and updated. The tables all have QR codes for the burger kitchen so if you would like to sit and enjoy a beverage while you contemplate your burger choice you can. You can also eat your burger in the Toast to Toast restaurant. Jasmine was very helpful explaining the process. She also serves a wonderful gin and soda. I asked Jasmine if my husband could watch the chef make the smash burgers. I had read a few reviews saying the burgers were not smash burgers. My husband can attest they are smash burgers! We ordered a Mission Classic 1/4 Pound Hand Formed Smash Patty, Onion, (minus the lettuce), Secret Sauce, served with fries. We also ordered a Fiery Field Op -1/4 Hand Formed Patty topped with grilled Serrano & Jalapeño Peppers, Yellow American Cheese, (minus the onion, lettuce), Secret Sauce, and Spice & Herb Blend Served with a side of fries. The burgers were incredible, delicious and juicy. I was happy to see melty American cheese and burger patties with crispy lacy edges We will be back to visit Secrete Burger Kitchen in our next visit to Tacoma.

Surrounding location is sketchy, but this place and the hotel it is in was pretty clean. You order at a kiosk and then find a seat. Staff was nice. Food took a little longer to come out but it was worth it. The fries were delish. I got the basic smash burger and it hit the spot... not too big and not too small. My husband said his was a little burnt so he wasn't a fan, but me and my daughter both enjoyed our meals.

I wish you had a location in west Seattle. I stopped by with a friend with very low expectations but the service was great and the food was incredible. Best smash burger I have ever had. Fries are fried to perfection and tender on the inside. Wings were out of this world, so juicy. Sauce options were top tier! They give you a great amount of sauce!

Tried out this place after seeing it on TikTok. Clean, easy access and plenty of parking. Had the basic cheeseburger with pickles and fries. Fries were good, not impressed with the burger but I think it's because we're from SoCal and used to In and Out burgers. Burger was overdone with crunchy edges and very greasy for my taste but I think this is what a smash burger is supposed to be like. Service was fine, staff very kind and friendly, but probably won't go back since this is just not what I'm looking for in a burger. Also pretty pricey. $42 for two burgers and two drinks.

The the single smash and the pineapple upside down cake were hands-down delicious. I would come back again just for the burger and upside down cake. Customer service was friendly and the restaurant and lobby were clean.

Wow this was actually recommended by a close friend and I got to say it was worth it we ordered two burger baskets and so good especially their fries. Can't get over the price $50 and had drinks. Good find

I was really blown away. Parking is super easy since it's in a hotel. Easy to use kiosk to order too. But the best part definitely has to be the food. A big group of us went we tried the wings, smash burgers, chicken burgers, fries, chocolate cake, and pineapple upside down cake. Everything came out super fast but really fresh and hot. (Make sure you try the sbk sauce). If you like spice definitely get the burger with peppers. The buns were perfectly toasted too. Definitely would visit again!! There was also impossible meat options. **bonus points there is a bar in then hotel too so you can enjoy a nice drink or beer with your burger

stayed at nearby hotel and wanted to grab a quick meal. Burgers were awful. Three of us ordered burgers and fries. Threw most of the burgers away. Just a gooey mess, didnt even taste like a burger, lots of cheap cheese, bun just disintegrated into the mess. Way too much sauce. Fries were ok, definitely not worth the price

I love the burger bowl and had it in the Seattle location so I knew I wanted to get that here. It's right off the freeway so it's convenient to get to. The service is great here too- they brought extra sauce without me asking and I LOVE the secret sauce!

Hosted a graduation party at the hotel and ordered catering from SBK it was delivered hot, juicy, and full of flavor. Nothing was left.

The food was excellent and on point my first smash burger was a hit service was great the place is very clean! No complaints will be back! If you get a chance check it out.

The burger came out hot and ready to enjoy. Many choices on the board that you order your food from. The 1/2 pound burger was delicious the secret sauce has a tiny hint of spice so get it on the side if you enjoy no spice at all. They have tons of options to make your burger your way. I'll for sure go back

I was in the area looking for something to eat when I saw this place and decided to try it out. It's inside the holiday inn and you order from the kiosk and find a seat. Not only did the food come out super fast, but the service was wonderful. I could be biased due to her name being my name but she was lovely. The burger itself was great! I got the spicy smash and made it did its job! Definitely coming back with my parter soon!

This secret burger kitchen was very fresh and tasty. I ordered the Operation Bacon Blitz and it was cooked to perfection. The crispy patty edges overfilled the soft buns and they did not skimp out on the bacon! The secret sauce complimented the burger and went very well with the crispy fries. The wings were outstanding and so juicy on the inside. Staff were very friendly, able to serve our large party and had food on the table within 10 mins. The chocolate cake was decadent and a great treat to end our meal. Definitely recommend trying out this smash burger spot, it won't disappoint!

as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by one of the owners, he was very kind and polite. my girlfriend got wings, they were so good she left her purse, i got the smash burger with french fries and that was so good as well. my gf said the milkshake with captain crunch was bomb dot com.

My son, husband and I did takeout and we would come again! The burgers were very filling and a great smash burger, plus the sauce has some kick to it! The fries are bomb too! We will come dine in sometime this summer :)

I saw this spot being reviewed on Instagram, and it was a must that we try it out. It was easy to order on the kiosk screen, and once we ordered, we could hear them prepare the smash burgers to order, which means fresh. Food came out and it was a 5-stars, and we can't wait to come back. Even the chicken sandwich was delicious and didn't disappoint.

This is in no way a smash burger. Tastes like a cheap frozen burger from the grocery store. At least the fries were decent.
