The Best Places To Eat Outdoors In Bed-Stuy

"You know that herbalist acquaintance of yours who sells crystal-infused incense on Etsy? That’s who you’d probably run into at Secret Garden, a restaurant and juice bar that serves vegan bacon cheeseburgers, iced matcha lattes, and a bunch of herbal teas you’ve probably never heard pronounced out loud. They’ve got benches and outdoor sidewalk tables that you can use from 12 to 7pm Tuesday through Saturday and from 12 to 6pm on Sunday." - nikko duren

"I got the salmon salad from this bodega nearby called Secret Garden Juice Bar & Tea House on Halsey and Lewis. I love them. It’s like a fancier bodega where they have nice food. They just have the best salmon salad that they make up with olives, chickpeas, carrots, corn, sautéed mushrooms, beets, Parmesan cheese, and sweet peppers. Oil and vinegar. I put a lot of green stuff in it and also cashews and capers."

Just entering the space makes you feel so calm and warm. Beautiful reggae tracks and all vegan menu. We got the coconut milk chai, chopped cheese and curry chicken wrap with side salads. Really wanted to get the stew but that's only available post noon. Absolutely floored with how amazing every single dish tasted. Will 100% be coming back very often.

Came here for a quick juice, and was not disappointed! $10 for a very large and tasty and fresh drink is a good deal. The decor inside and music are eclectic to say the least, and there’s incense burning in the planters outside near the covered patio. There’s books, handicraft for sale, and art supplies for free use. It’s a very kitschy and cute spot with an artsy thing to look at everywhere you glance. I’ll be back to try some vegan food next time!

I ordered a juice and it tasted like medicine:( I think your reply to my review was nasty. yes i came in and ordered a concoction to fit my desired taste. I asked for mint, cucumber, lemon and green apples. What i ordered was executed poorly. I dont taste cucumber or even green apples in this drink. I rated this based off of how it was EXECUTED because the service was also poor honey! ;)

Wonderful spot for fresh plant based plates, sammies, salads, juice, coffees, teas, and more. We got the burger and chickpea sandwich (both incredible and the side salad is delicious) 🌱🧡 ✨ Recommend the Leo as well — iced chai with coconut milk. Great music playing and they host evening events on the weekend! A few cute outdoor tables with coverage for the summer sun ☀️ 5/5 Lovely place!

Obsessed with this Brooklyn hidden gem! The vibes are amazing inside this small female owned cafe! The staff was very friendly. We definitely came for the boho tropical aesthetic. My friend and I are obsessed with their smoothies and can’t wait to go back! The atmosphere is perfect, really loved the music. Had so much fun collaborating with Secret Garden Oasis!

Great spot in Brooklyn. Vegan food is awesome. The fresh drinks are amazing, especially the smoothies. Outside seating only. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing. They also sell oils and other goods. They accept cash and card. The incense they burn while outside smells so good. It is a must to make sure you visit when in BK. Black owned

Walked past this place and it looked good to try. Great marketing but the products aren't so good. The decorating is amazing. Good vibes, ambiance and all that. Even the menu items are well written. We ordered the curry stew which we expected more of a broth based item but it was really just a bunch of chickpeas, spinach on rice with light turmeric sauce that needed more flavor and a side salad. It wasn't super flavorful and just tasted more like a healthy vegetable bowl. It was filling but deceptive. And prices high in my opinion. Also ordered a chai latte which tasted super watery. They say they use a creamy oatmilk but no creaminess was perceived. Not good. Service was great though, and the place has potential but flavor upgrade, some indoor seating or working great lamp, and better quality cafe drinks are needed. Also more sustainable packaging to match the concept.
