Where to Eat in Southwestern Michigan | Bon Appétit

"A small brewery set near the woods that invites guests to sit outside on clear days and sip lighter, approachable beers such as mlíko, a frothy Czech-style specialty, in a relaxed, nature-adjacent setting." - ByAlex Beggs

Great Road Trip Worthy Breweries to Visit in Southwest Michigan from Chicago | Eater Chicago

"This brewery (opened in February 2021) focuses on marrying Midwestern agriculture with Belgian, Nordic and German-style beers — a coupling of international flavor and local focus. All their malts and hops come from Midwestern providers, and drinkers will find familiar styles like kolsch, hefeweizen and pilsner on the blessedly lager-heavy menu. Another fun find: Czech-style side-pour handles that create thick, creamy, foamy slow-pour beers." - Karl Klockars

We love Seedz! It’s very family and dog friendly, but you don’t need either a dog or child to enjoy your time here! The beer is delicious, the vibes are high, and the outdoor space is incredible. Definitely check it out!

Google
Love Love Love this brewery, it's a hike for me to drive there, but so worth it. Usually visit on the weekends. I recently relocated back in this area, and Yes am always searching for great breweries. I will be more diligent in putting up reviews, I have had some recent life events that has pulled me away from my passion of beer, and Yes, I love quality tasting' beers. IMO Seedz Brewery is the best brewery in Berrien County MI, St. Joseph County, IN and Elkhart county, IN,& yes I have been to most all. If I see people online ask about "where do I get good craft beers?" I will share my thoughts.

Google
A fun and unique experience! All of the beers we had were great! I ordered the Fose, and it was fun and unique. The slow pour beers are fun too! The love music with outdoor setting made for a perfect summer afternoon!

Google
Super friendly atmosphere and pups to top it off! The Faux Rosé was 10/10 if you're not really into beer. It was definitely our favorite brewery on our trip this weekend!

Google
Great little brewery with lots of good options. Nice seating outside to enjoy the nice weather, I highly recommend swinging by this place!

Google
I really enjoyed my experience here. The servers were friendly despite how busy things were, and there was a lot of comfortable outdoor seating. This place is very dog friendly, and there's also plenty of grass by the patio for our four legged friends. The beers that I tried were all of good quality and flavor, and I was really impressed by Kinda Deutch. Usually lagers tend to be rather flavorless at a lot of places, but Kinda Deutch had plenty of flavor while remaining very refreshing. I'll definitely drop by here again when I'm in the area.

Seedz Brewery is my first slow-pour beer experience. Loved it! Brought in a Patellie’s pizza for a couple beers and the Pacers game which was up on a projector. Mitten Life and a saison both checked out. Had the tunes cranking and a nice vibe for a summer kick back. Fun to meet the owner. Beer is a passion here, and that shows in the innovation. Grabbed a six pack for home, and just as good from the can.

Google
This is a must stop if you are in the southwest Michigan area. Loved the beer and very personable atmosphere. The beer maker was extremely passionate about each and every beer. Wish it wasn’t our first stop of the day as we could have easily spent the entire day enjoying a pint with a great bartender.

Yelp
It took me a little bit to check this out after it opened. I drove past a couple of times when it was closed. Then I came when it was open, and it's been a favorite of mine ever since. What I love: * they're dog friendly * they have *great* beer * they have a super back deck and yard good for adults, children, and dogs alike * the people: i've met lots of nice, interesting people, and apparently it either attracts happy people or the great beer makes them happy. Or (likely) a combination of both. * the beer selection is both wide, and deep. They don't have one of the massive selections of 500 beers, but even better, they have 12 *very* good beers. if you get through all 12, god bless ya! * it's a very cool design. * did I mention they (really) like dogs?

Yelp
I've tried this spot a few times. Once when they first opened. Again, about a year ago, and the last time today. I cannot recommend this spot. I have not enjoyed any of the beers I have tried here. In fact, I have left my most of my beers on the bar unfinished. The place itself is nice. It's one room, cozy. Has a nice patio. I am sure they make a decent beer, I just haven't had it.

Yelp
My husband and parents wanted to try this place after the social media hype, so we went on a Saturday night. The space itself is fine, but there were multiple dogs running around the indoor space off-leash which made me super nervous with our toddler and multiple kids and babies in the space. More to the point the beers were not great. I'm not a beer drinker, and told the server that I only really like sours. He poured me a sample of a lager which, predictably, I hated and then a saison, which also wasn't great. My dad tried the nitro stout, which he said was "just ok" and my mom and husband were also underwhelmed with their choices. Maybe we just happened to try some of their less good beers, but I was especially not impressed with the guy trying to sell me a lager when I specifically said I didn't like the taste of beer in general.

Yelp
Best beer on the lakeshore and a must stop! Voted best new brewery in the U.S. and it's no surprise why. Extra perk - dog friendly.

Yelp
Super chill brewery off Red Arrow in Union Pier. They have a decent selection of both draft and bottle beers. No food but you can bring it in or order delivery (staff has local menus and suggestions). They have plenty of seating inside either at the bar or a number of tables, and a huge patio out back with fire pits and firewood. Prices were a little steep ($12/bottle) but every brew we tried was delicious! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to come back to try other varieties.

Yelp
Awesome spot with tons of friendly staff and regulars. They allow dogs and there is plenty of them running around. Awesome outdoor area with a fire pit. Good beer selection and clean/nice indoor area too. One of the best in the area (we've been to them all!)

Yelp
Amazing beer! This place is a hidden gem. Stopped by before our wine tour. Really glad we did. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Beer super clean tasting and you can tell the quality of the product once you taste it! Great Variety And looking forward to the next time We go back. Even if your not craft beer drinker and want a lite. Mitten life (American Lager) / Cerveza Seedz (Mexican Lager) is the S&$T!

Yelp
Good selection of beer from dark to fruity service is good. What's nice is it's dog friendly and kid Friendly. Located right off the lake so you get a nice breeze backing up to the woods so makes it very relaxing

Yelp
We liked this place. It was roomy and quiet when we went. The beers we had were good. We will definitely try to get back here.

Yelp
Ryan is fantastic. Beautiful, comfortable small brewery. A real hidden gem in beer & wine country! Ryan's beer was great, the decor of the brewery was so impressive, and he gave us great recommendations of where to eat and drink on our day in the area. This is a must if your hopping around the area! Have him slide you a Mliko pour before you pay your tab!!!

Yelp
Definite must stop in the area. From the brewery dog to the great beers and very nice staff - definitely worth a stop in SW Michigan and pulling up a chair and enjoying some unique beers.

Yelp
Nice new brewery in town. I loved the outside area with tables. Even though the inside is very nicely decorated and spacious. I wish we could have had a flight, but I totally understand why it isn't possible. They slow-pour the beers, something we've never experienced. What a treat! The servers were super friendly (we didn't experience that at the other brewery) and informative. If we are ever in this part of Michigan again, we will definitely stop by. Cheers!

Yelp
This place has some of the best drinkable, no frills lager and pilsner deliciousness I've come across in the Great Lakes area. No food service , but dogs are welcome inside and on their outdoor, fenced-in patio. Great foamy pours.

Yelp
Wow what an incredible hidden gem! I'm so glad we found this place! If you're in the area you definitely need to check Seedz out. Great vibes, beautiful surroundings, they have an indoor area and and outdoor section with picnic tables or picnic blankets if you want something a little cozier. They don't sell food but they do allow you to bring any food in from the outside. The beer is incredible and unique and the employees are so kind. No TVs which I love because it's a great vibe for good conversations with good people. Highly recommend!!

Elizabeth O.

Yelp
There are so many intriguing breweries in the area - which to pick? Do yourself a favor and checkout Seedz. It's small and unassuming, true. But the beer is different from the other breweries beers in that it is more delicate and sophisticated in a way. Plus there is an excellent relaxed vibe in the place!

Jay G.

Yelp
Seeds has become my favorite brewery to stop at on our usual trips into Michigan. It is a must stop if you are in the area.

Yelp
Stopped here randomly driving on my way to Cali! High level beers I got the New Lights amazing pale ale for lover of IPA. The stout wow to dream on! If you like high level brewery poor in costly glass you should stop here. I have been to a lot of brewery in Cali and will stop next summer on my way back to Quebec! Cheers
