A very clean and inviting football at the famous Selfriges Store on Oxford street. Always busy but a good variety of stations with sweet and savory options. Really enjoyed the ramen noodle station - fresh and flavorful

An amazing place and a must-visit. The food hall section is charming, offering a variety of options. I tried some sweets like the Halawa and the honey cake—they were delicious. However, I wish there was a seating area for enjoying desserts. The venue also features many high-end brands.

I went in more out of curiosity, at a late hour. It's a foodie's paradise. Very spectacular, everything is so beautifully arranged, so appetizing, the offer is so varied!

Bought 3 desserts “Halawat” on 26th July; all expired the same day. Disappointed that a premium place like Selfridges sells items with such short shelf life without informing customers. Expected better.

Very disappointing and poor customer service, I ordered a hot chocolate with oat milk, first it was luke warm and needed more chocolate. I asked the server to recify this, she made it hotter and even more tasteless. I approached her again and told her I was not happy but could tell by her response she had no interest rectifying the situation. I did not want to cause a scene so I just left most of the hot chocolate. Truly awful overpriced cup of hot chocolate

Had the WORST experience of my life today in the Dolly’s Disney. The service is DISGUSTING. Tell me why it took over 40 minutes to get TWO BAGELS AND THEY FORGOT THE CREAM CHEESE!!!! TELL ME WHY THE SERVERS ARE CHITCHATTING WHILST PEOPLE ARE WAITING HOURS ON END TO EAT SEMI OKAY FOOD. DISGUSTING AND DISRESPECTFUL. NEVER EVER WILL I EVER REVISIT. YOU SHOULDNT EITHER!

I went to the Turkish food counter as the food looked good. There was a woman complaining of the lack of fork (readily available at most other counters at the food hall mind you), she was shouting and was met with calm from the employees behind the counter. It was my turn next and I asked for a recommendation, all well and then I’m deciding on what I want to accompany the rice and this man starts slamming my food down on the counter as I decide. Made me feel very uncomfortable and I bought food I would otherwise not have bought. Also incredibly steep for £25 for what was essentially rice and avocado. Would not revisit. Treat all customers well not just the ones you deem rich enough to complain of your service!

Onion Bhaji Scotch Eggs bought yesterday and sampled last night. Inedible. The egg was so over-boiled the yolk had gone black on the outside. The onions were virtually raw and the outer coating well coloured with turmeric but not well spiced. I hate food waste but it was binned. I'd post with without any stars but in order to post a star rating has to be applied, hence the 1star

Lovely, traditional store and always nice to pop in before Christmas. The food section has some great choices if you're looking to make your own hamper. The layout is a little crammed so I'd recommend going when they open. The meat counter was a bit overpriced but they had some very high quality items. They have a separate Christmas section like most of the staple London department stores. Very nostalgic if you're into celebrating Christmas.

I actually prefer this to Harrods now. I'd you go on a typically busy day or time yes it will be nuts. But Harrods is ALWAYS crazy and so busy you need at least a half hour to check out alone. Here, on normal days if you go in you're likely to find a normal level of busy. There are people to help or check You out or send you in the right direction. The luxury department store model has greatly splintered but this fall of the luxury but not pretentious end of the spectrum. In recent trips I find myself headed here over other options that a tourist may stop at or need to go to (on my most recent trip I tore up my heels after a dinner in shoes that had yet to be broken in) get a pair of backless walking shoes (mules) and found exactly what I needed in under a half hour. Also a fun story and souvenir for anyone in your life who is a fan of the show

While I loved Harrod's in London, if your goal is mostly clothing shopping, and you are pressed for time, Selfridges is the place to be! Good selection and service was good.

A beautiful place to shop with all the luxury items you can imagine. I will say though some things are overpriced but of course if you're wealthy this is essentially their Nordstrom's or Sak's 5th. You're greeted almost immediately upon entering which is nice compared to the American malls. The only thing I purchased were macarons Pierre Marcolini. Delicious but 25 pounds for a selection of 8 is quite pricey in my opinion.

Shopped at Hermes. I did not come here with any expectations, but I was wonderfully surprised when I was able to get two pairs of shoes I had been looking for that were my size. My sales associate was so sweet, and I am so happy with my experience. I'll definitely be back here when shopping for Hermes items. I also managed to pick up a Picotin with no prior shopping history in London.

Fun. Has it all. Some decent prices and great service. Many choices. Took home quite a few things. Huge variety.

Yelp is that even a question? Yes I recommend this place with a thousand thumbs up! Love shopping there all the time. I actually have a shipping membership with them so I can still shop from US. It's less crowded than harrods but it's still crowded. The restaurant in the bottom floor have good services as well. Overall amazing place to shop from head to toe :-)

I had always wanted to go to Selfridges and our trip to London in February I made it a point to check them out. First, this store is HUGE and beautiful, inviting and so well organized. It was Valentine's Day and I really wanted to get a pair of Vivienne Westwood earrings. They had so many options to choose from, I ended up getting a pair of pearl earrings with Vivenne Westwoods sigil, so dainty and so pretty. Our customer service rep was so friendly and let me look at so many options before choosing the best pair. She mentioned that she's never been to California but wanted to plan a trip soon, she was so friendly. Everyone in this store was really helpful, showing us where the restrooms were and where the food court was. We ended up getting snacks at the food court too, where the food costs were pretty good. Can't wait to come back!

You want to visit even if you don't intend to buy a thing. We bought lunch, that's it. Don't miss the ladies shoe department. They claim to have the biggest display of shoes and I believe them. I was bug-eyed at some of the styles. After window shopping and getting over our "awe", had lunch at one of their many restaurants. We shared a large salt beef sandwich. It tasted almost like our American Corned Beef sandwiches. It was very good. After eating we perused the food hall. Don't cruise the food hall on an empty stomach, to tempting. There is almost an entire floor of scents (like perfumes). It's a dizzying amount.

I know that everyone who comes to London from America wants to go to Harrods. And yes, if it's your first time in London, you have to experience it once, but a much more truly British experience is to go to Selfridge's. First, they have an amazing gourmet food hall with all types of prepared foods, things you can take away, or things that you can eat there. They sell all types of teas, jams, mochi, cookies, meats, cheeses, fish, fresh pasta, sushi, cupcakes, salads, and paninis. They also have little restaurants that you can eat in throughout the food hall, like a champagne and oyster bar, a sushi bar, a noodle bar, etc. You should walk around the whole Food hall before you make a decision on what you want to eat. There is so much to choose from! As I said you can also buy things to pack a picnic, and you won't be disappointed by the selection. Throughout Selfridge's, on the different floors, they also have other little restaurants. There's even a little bar in the middle of the purse section so if you wanna go and have a champagne cocktail before you start shopping to get you in the mood, you can. I also find Selfridge's a little more accessible and not as intimidating as Harrods. Don't get me wrong. The shopping is amazing. They have all of the brands you would expect Gucci, Ferragamo, Louboutin. Just walking around and window shopping in the store is an amazing experience, but there are affordable things as well. They have an amazing shoe department. Their sunglasses and perfume and makeup selection is beyond compare. The women's fashions and purses are a delight to peruse. They have a confectionery and a wine shop on the bottom floor as well. They have an amazing accessory hall. It is very much like Harrods meaning that you can find all of the things at Selfridge's that you could find there, but I feel it's just more of a friendly open atmosphere. You will not be disappointed. If I could live there forever, I would be happy.

The holiday windows are beautifully decorated for the season. The service in the food hall was superb with several items available to purchase as gifts for friends and loved ones.

Don't order from here I did online which shipping is 30+ I ordered an earring that I got and it's disfigured and for the Amount I paid that's ridiculous. They don't do exchanges apparently so I'm entirely inconvenienced and if I want the proper condition for the item I purchased I'd have to send the item back and re order. I'll never buy from here again. I feel as if they fucked my order I'm like they did well I'd assume they'd be able to help me exchange this or send me one that's not distorted like the one they did send me. But no. I guess that's what I get for ordering out of country. Customer service was no help. My only option is to return the item and wait for my refund and then the order. Instead of fixing their mistake. Again when spending 100 with Shipping for something so tiny you thing they would make sure it was in good condition. Disgusted don't buy from them.

This store is amazing and centrally located within the Mayfair/Hyde Park area. I stopped by in search of a particular bag and was surprised to discover the version I wanted was in stock. The only downside (hence 4 stars) was finding a sales clerk to assist me. I had to ask two workers for help only to be directed to luggage for assistance. Staff is not as attentive as other places but still pleased with overall experience. It's not insanely overcrowded and store signage is clear. Worth the visit if you're in London!

Selfridges is beautiful! All designer all at one place all at once! I was in heaven visiting this multi-level spot. From Hermes to Ferragamo, Prada, Louis etc it's a fashionista's heaven on earth! Not only do they sell designer items, they gave affordable options too along with electronics...and Food!!!! You need not to go anywhere else at Selfridges you have everything to fit your shopping needs.

had to stop and get snacks. got a hazlenut doughnut (vegan & gf). and a vegan and gf red velvet cupcake from lolas. both were great! loved that they had options for vegan and gf.

I have not been here for over 25 years, of course it's changed. The ground floor was thronging with people spending huge amounts of money on perfume and handbags. A huge selection...but did they have Vivienne Westwood's boudoir? I had 5 people tell me no, go to Harrods. The food hall has now changed...still good but no specialist beer selection. There is wine and beer and more chocolates than a girl could ever eat on the lower ground floor. I opted for some chocolate soldiers and chocolate egg. It was nice to be shown and escorted to the escalator. All in all so crowded in there that I could not wait to get out, never made it to any other floor.

Three stars only because I have friends that might lynch me if I give this place any less. Truth be told, I'm not the biggest fan of this Selfridges- I prefer Harrods- due to the weird energy, setup of the food hall, quality of the food, and the majority of stuck-up people who work here. I made the mistake of buying a few things from the food section, and let me tell you, I couldn't finish any of it. I get better quality at far lower prices at Tesco. However, if you want to splurge- and I mean really splurge- at one of their restaurants, you may have better luck than I did. The shops themselves are much the same as you would find at Harrods. All the big-name premium brands are here; Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Tory Burch, you name it. They have something for all your splurging needs, from perfumeries, to cosmetic counters, clothing shops galore, and yes, food and drink. I was impressed- and also slightly intimidated- by the Louis Vuitton section that, while tiny, had turned into a full-blown party, complete with professional photographer and non-alcoholic cocktails. As you can imagine, everything here costs more than it's worth, but it's also a great place to come and spend some time if you want to pretend that you have money to burn- which you might, no judgement here. And if you do buy something, imagine the bragging rights! Still not as good as Harrods, though. Not as pretty.

I have used Selfridges several times over the last couple years for gifts for my friend in England and for myself. Shopping with them is pleasurable. Their customer service, by far, is the best. Any issue is dealt with properly. The quality of their products is excellent. Last Christmas, I purchased several gift hampers. All were excellent. Everything showed up when it was supposed to and in good order. Most recently, I had a slight issue with a gift and it was dealt with in a prompt and kind manner. I am a loyal customer and will continue to be, even though I live in the U.S.

I'm an international customer from the US and I LOVE selfridges! I purchased my FAVORITE Saint Laurent bags from here that are so stunning and are always compliment getters and conversation pieces. Their online customer service is spectacular and I've never had a problem with them aside from when they sent the wrong bag (I wanted gold hardware and they sent silver) but let me exchange it right away and even gave me some credit! Just wonderful! Overall, major stamp of approval! If you're a lux girl or any kind of fashionista, you need selfridges in your life! I highly recommend.

So yes, I'm a fan of the Netflix series "Mr. Selfridge" and that series was the reason I had to come to this store. Glad I came, it was wonderful. Albeit nothing like what I saw on tv, except for the edifice. They had EVERTYTHING plus so many brands not found in the USA; which is totally the purpose for shopping abroad. The sales clerks were just fabulous. They actually helped and were knowledgeable about the products. I love the confectionary with the best selection of amazing candy. Yes, they allowed sampling. The food court had sushi, cheese, deli meat, smoked salmon, ramen noodles and the list goes on. I loved it!

On this trip to London, we decided we wanted to have a closer look at Selfridges; not just for the shopping, but for the history of the building and the owner, Harry Gordon Selfridge. Mr. Selfridge was an American who revolutionized shopping in Great Britain. Harry Selfridge arrived in London from Chicago in 1906, with grand plans to open an extravagant department store where "everyone was welcome." His store was designed by Daniel Burnham, who also created the Marshall Field's main store in Chicago. The main store on Oxford Street is the second largest store in London after Harrods. In spite of being #2 behind Harrods, Selfridges was opened in 1909 and is the largest shop on Oxford Street with 650,000 feet of retail space. Selfridges was one of the first shops in Britain to introduce window dressing as a way of enticing customers into the store. When we arrived, the sunlight was perfect on the front of the building to properly photograph the distinctive polychrome sculpture above the Oxford Street entrance, which is the work of British sculptor Gilbert Bayes. We were pleased to see the old elevators still in use. We spent about an hour there, walking around and admiring all the beautiful displays. It is truly a "smashing" place to shop! The closest Tube station is Bond Street.

Great place to do your duty free shopping. They have the more luxury brands for one stop shopping. It's in a very busy shopping area. I stopped by the ysl shop and everyone there was nice and helpful. kudos!! No complaints with Prada which was very busy. LV was a different story. I had to flag someone to ask a question. Both locations inside wasn't very helpful. All Saints was a cool spot too with many sales rep willing to help. This mall is a bit like Bloomingdales in the U.S.

Came here to shop on Boxing Day and there was an insane amount of people. Each floor was jam packed and it was difficult to maneuver around the clothes and people. They really need some sort of population control for each room. The brands they have are all pretty unique. Some of my favorites are Ted Baker, Karen Millen, and Burberry; however, there isn't a wide selection of sizes but there is definitely a large selection of fashion styles. Love the European high styles, think lots of buttons. If you are from overseas, the tax deductible area is where you go if you want to not have to pay the British sales tax. You are given a number after showing them your ID and receipt. The more you buy, the higher the tax deductible is (rumored up to 14% rebate). Then you wait in a crammed room until your number is called - the wait is around 20 minutes on Boxing Day. Then a sales representative will help you with everything. Oh and free water too. Overall, pretty good experience but super crowded.

Selfridges is a high-end department store. This is the flagship location. They have other locations in Manchester and Birmingham. It was founded in 1908 by an American named Harry Gordon Selfridge. Read about him! He really made shopping into what it is today. He invented many marketing ideas still used all over the world! He wanted to make shopping fun and he wanted stores to be comfortable and welcoming. Before him, shopping was a boring chore. He made department stores into a place of fun and socializing and a cultural center. This is the guy who came up with merchandise being on display so customers could look t it, touch it. He made the perfume counter in the front of the main floor. He had sales papers and advertisements made. He's supposed to be the first to say 'the customer is always right.' He also loved science, and he had educational displays in his store. In the 1920 and 1930s, there were gardens, cafes, mini golf, and a gun club for women on the roof! They also had fashion shows. During World War II, the basement was made into an air-raid shelter. The original store was designed by Daniel Burnham who also made Marshall Field's in Chicago. They have really wonderful window displays! Most tourists to go to Harrods, which is great, but please don't miss this place!

The so called staff know nothing about what's going on in this store. I've been here a few times and Ive been sent from pillar to post when I ask the staff where to find a specific brand. They are Completely useless and are knowledgeable on all of nothing. This place offers the typical London fair of over priced products, coupled with the stores over hyped reputation and the worst service imaginable.

We actually liked this store more than the possibly more famous Harrod's. Selfridges actually felt larger and more spacious inside with higher ceilings and an overall less crowded feeling. They have the same or larger selection of just about everything from their wonderful food halls that rival Harrod's to the highest of high end luxury good including our favorite Louis Vuitton. Be sure to check their "Wonder Room" full of amazing luxury watch brands like Rolex! We were in the right place at the right time here and were able to snag some Louis Vuitton sneaker boots in a unique color that had just been released two days ago! All the staff seemed quite friendly and helpful. For tax refunds you go to their specialized tax refund lounge where they have a very efficient system in place to limit wait times while they process your paperwork. Bring that paperwork and the goods to the airport, and within a couple of weeks we had the refund! The "tube" station is right outside making it easy to come and go here for all your shopping pleasures!

I love this store!! It's huge so allot yourself time to get through the store. There's numerous departments, restaurants, and even a champagne bar! I stopped in here during a recent trip to London right after Christmas as I was looking to do some clothes shopping for myself. I'm pretty picky with buying clothes so I wasn't expecting to find anything I liked so was pleasantly surprised to find they had such a great selection! They have lots of different designers (especially high end ones), with brands not prevalent in the US, and since it was after Christmas there were a ton of things on sale! Double score!! There were also a ton of sales people around who were helpful but not annoyingly overbearing. There was always someone nearby to help me into the fitting rooms - not like the US where you only see a salesperson at a cash register far from any dressing rooms. This store reminds me of Bloomingdales (my most favorite US department store), but is way better, and I cannot wait to come back and visit again!!

Selfridges is located on Oxford St and Bond St in Marylebone, London. It's luxury and huge department store and pretty similar to our Holt Renfrew at Canada. As tourist, I would love to check it out even though the exchange is not favourable to us. They had lots of lovely things in the designer collections and well-stocked. However, the price quite steep after exchange. If pound and C$ at par, I would definitely buy a lot here.

What a treat - whether you intend to shop or not. The entire 4 floors are filled with designer eye candy that you can admire, touch, try on, buy. No pressure of boutique shopping, no stares. I personally live in the country and have no reason or place to ever wear the latest fashions (exept for maybe some cute wellies for my sake alone). But I appreciate and admire haute couture. I came here to submerge myself, to see and touch the latest Chanels, Valentinos, Yves St Laurents. And boy, did I enjoy my day! When here, make sure to treat yourself to a champagne - The Corner on the 2nd floor fits the bill!

The customer service over the phone was excellent. All questions, issues, and concerns were answered, resolved, and corrected. The timing of package was very satisfactory. Pleased with the condition my order arrived. Will definitely shop with them again.

Selfridges is a Grade II listed retail premises on Oxford Street in London. It was designed by Daniel Burnham for Harry Gordon Selfridge, and opened in 1909. Still the headquarters of Selfridge & Co. department stores, with 540,000 square feet (50,000 m2) of selling space, the store is the second largest retail premises in the UK, half as big as the biggest department store in Europe, Harrods. It was named the world's best department store in 2010, and again in 2012. This is my favourite department store in all of the UK. Been here many times and it keeps changing every time I go back. It's got a ton of high street fashion and big fashion brands under one roof. The choice is endless and you can spend a lot of time just browsing. Staff are also very friendly and you can get some good bargains if you look around enough. There are two or three cafes in here for a stop as you wander in this place. You can spend a lot of money here and walk out very poor :-) I go back every time I am in London for men's shoes and clothes from a ton of designers you don't normally see in many department stores across Europe.

Bloomingdales (unofficial) London Sister! We came here several times for the eclectic​ mix ​of merchandise. The housewares department is great, right next to a very good wine department. The beauty floor was great with a few brands that were exclusive to the UK. The clothing is lovely and fairly high end. They have a great food hall as well. Overall a fun shopping experience​.

Pretty much the same as a typical Bloomingdales here in the US. The service is very slow. I remember being in various sections and having trouble finding staff to help me. Afterwards when you go to fill out customs paperwork, it's extremely slow there - be prepared to spend 30+ mins with them ag a minimum

Another Harrods. This time in central London. You can find just about anything here. The food hall has to be seen to be believed. The people who work there are all super smart in black and very polite and helpful. (It's England...what can I say?) Wonderful place for gifts if you're not watching your wallet!

Visited their rooftop restaurant and bar. Good views, tasty food with an Italian vibe. Make sure you take the correct set of lifts.

I've only seen one episode of the TV show, so I was a little bit intrigued. As a tourist, I stopped by just because it was in a convenient location and I was looking for a public restroom. The bathroom was clean. The hand dryer was right above faucet which was a little weird. The food market was cute and worth stopping by if it's not too far out of the way. It was a little bit like Harrod's and Galleries Lafayette's food halls. I feel like the store needs a little bit of updating to compete with other department stores. But overall, it seems like they have a good variety of clothes and shoes. I didn't buy anything because nothing really jumped out at me, nor was anything super discounted. Good enough, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here for clothes shopping if you're a tourist. Bloomingdale's is kind of like Selfridges.

I enjoyed exploring this humongous shopping mall on Oxford St, London. I loved how colorful and lively everything was. It was fun spending a day at this location. Everyone nice and helpful. I couldn't afford to shop there but it is a fun place to walk thru on a date or spend a day getting to know someone better like I was.

Selfridges is an enormous department store that reminds me of a Bloomingdale's flagship store on steroids - there are so many lights, high ceilings, and an expansive food court which I didn't explore. Trendy, expensive, fun mall to window shop at.

I love Selfridges. If you are a shopaholic, this is THE place in London!! From every brand name you can pronounce to excellent food on the fourth floor and the roof top. I can practically spend a whole day here. Well, I take that back because just in a few hours, I already had to buy a new set of Rimowa luggage just to accommodate all of the STUFF I purchased...haha. Selfridges is centrally located...well for me it is because it is right in the heart of all the shops, HA!! Excellent department store. I highly recommend it when you visit London.

This branch of Selfridges is a huge department store, and the brands main flagship branch in the UK out of the four they currently have, with a branch in Birmingham and two in Manchester. This store was the original branch, opening in 1909, the store is so big infact, it is the second largest-store in the UK after Harrods, which is also in London and is one of many impressive department stores in the London area, which also includes John Lewis which is also located on Oxford Street. With this being the largest and flagship branch, they seem to have so much here compared to other branches, such as a huge Food Hall, which is something the Manchester Exchange Square lacks and the Manchester Trafford Centre branch also is lacking (it has a food hall but I find it to be very poor), the food hall infact has large brands in its' own right, as well as Beyond Bread for example, who are a gluten-free bakery with two other stores in London. They also had a decent selection of products such as pre-prepared desserts and sandwiches. As mentioned, this store is huge, however it is an old building so the access around the store could be better, for example, the lift going up to the Food Hall was hidden so much, it involved quite a long walk to get their from one of the main entrances, and even the staff members were unsure where it was. Despite being an old building which opened back in 1909, 89 years before Selfridges opened their second branch in the Manchester Trafford Centre, the store does seem quite modern in parts, mainly down to the large amount of stands from different brands across the store having reasonably modern displays. Another thing I like about this store was a few of the unusual factors it olds, for example, Heinz Beans previously did a stand here selling baked beans "with a twist" to celebrate their anniversary as a brand. One of my main issues with this store which is currently stopping any higher than a four-star rating is the difficulty of getting into the Food Hall and the lack of seating when you get their, basically forcing you to just get your food "to go", rather than sit down with it. Issues with the knowledge, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff also arose during my trip to the store which was a shame, however due to the mainly positive nature of this review and my experience in store, I'm pleased that I've been able to mark London (97) overtaking Liverpool(96) as my second most reviewed city on Yelp, which comes after only my home town of Manchester!

Great store with a great big selection... I was actually referred here by Harrods because an item they didn't have in stock was here. The sales reps were great and hard working and very attentive. I did notice it was a very fast paced environment very busy with a lot of demanding customers. I saw the employees running non stop working and resolving multiple issues and it had long wait times but let me tell you they were on top of everything despite hard odds. I was very happy they had my item and could sale it to me before it was posted online or even put out on the floor.

Better than Sephora! I cant believe i just said that, but I did! I'm absolutely in love! I admit, I was a complete need for the tv show Mr. Selfridge, so when my friend and I were strolling along Oxford Street and I saw the sign, I knew we HAD to go in! And what did I walk into? The cosmetics floor. It was all over from there, I didn't care if I didn't see anything else in London that day. Haha! There were all of the amazing brands I love, and then some! They even had a section for the newer Christian Louboutin cosmetics line. (I haven't looked much for it here in the US, but I'd only seen the lipsticks until that point). I lingered at the Jo Malone counter, and had fun sniffing everything. I even fell in love with a new scent that I just HAD to buy. :) Btw, if you find yourself at the JM counter, ask for Eleanor, she was great! I definitely know where I'll be stopping for my beauty fix the next time I'm in London!

Best department store in the world you say??? I agree 100%. This store is fantastic. They have designers like Chanel, Alexander Mcqueen, and Diane Von Furstenburg. They also have luggage, shoes, perfume, makeup, bicycles, wine, wiskey, and a pharmacy. Its an incredible shopping experience. What was so special was taking classic afternoon tea at Dollys. The tea was very nice with sandwiches, scones, and cakes. It is a simply civilized experiance and worth every penny. I will be back.

It is shocking to me that a store as large as Selfridges has such horrendous customer service. In 20 years of ordering online this is the first time I have had a missing item, and they refuse to refund. Please read their reviews before ordering. I never thought it would happen to me, but here we are and I am out $250. Purchased 3 items before Christmas, they were delayed in the US due to bad weather and when they arrived, one of the items was missing. I promptly contacted Selfridges thinking it was probably an oversight on their part because of the Christmas rush. Wrong! Selfridges customer service has done nothing but give me excuses and tell me that the items were scanned and put in my package and that they fulfilled their contract. They will not be issuing a refund?? What? I was speechless, and have spent the better part of 3 weeks arguing back and forth with them, only to have them stop responding. Online chat told me they were starting the refund process and that I would get a confirmation email. Nothing. They told me a manager would ring me. Nothing. I am shocked beyond belief that a store of this size would dismiss a customer like this. I am bitterly disappointed since I had purchased many times with no issues. I was planning on making many more purchases in the future, but that's over. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT ORDERING FROM THEM - THINK AGAIN. Their customer service is abysmal and they now have my £153 and my item. ***I see on other review sites that they have done this to other customer and the emails excuses are identical. Word for word, "we reviewed the CCTV footage and your item was placed in the package". After reading reviews and seeing what other have posted, I now realise they are copying and pasting a stock email and I do not believe they investigated anything. There are so many reviews stating the same thing so I have to believe they have a huge theft issue with their distribution warehouse staff, but it's easier to blame the customer and not have to refund.

A famous one stop store with a broad selection of goods located at a premium location. It is very touristy and crowded. With the exchange rates, it is a better deal to shop in France or the United States.
