One of my favorite waterfalls in Iceland so far. The short walk to the falls is very easy, and going around the falls is a very fun experience. Just be sure to take rain gear, you can get sprayed with tons of mist when you go around the falls. If you continue around the trail, there is another waterfall that you can walk through a little cave creek to get to it. There can be lots of tourists there, so try to get there early.

There is no doubt that this is one of the best waterfalls in Iceland, if not the best. this tour point is well developed with parking lot and washrooms. be sure to go behind the fall to feel the falls. There is also a waterfall hundreds feet north of the main falls. you can go inside the fall to see a beautuful view. There are many people lining up, so you need have additional 30-60 minutes waiting time if you want to see the this special fall.

The next stop after Urridafoss was the big falls famous for walking behind. Unfortunately it was a very windy/cool day and we saw people even with fowl weather jackets/pants getting soaked just standing in the line waiting to walk behind. We did just the walking path and still enjoyed the sights. Highly recommend walking to the path end for the last falls 🤙

Unique waterfall you can even walk behind in the summer. Popular among tourists, but honestly there are more beautiful waterfalls not so far from Seljalandsfoss that are not crowded at all.

Seljalandsfoss is one of those places that really stays with you. We ended up spending around four hours there - wandering behind the falls, exploring the nearby waterfalls hidden along the trail, and watching the light shift as the day went on. Around sunset, the scene becomes almost magical. The mist from the waterfall catches the light perfectly, and we were lucky enough to see double rainbows arching across the spray. It was an incredible moment that felt like something out of a dream. If you have the time, I’d definitely recommend lingering here to see the area in different light, it’s well worth it.

Another amazing waterfall on the Golden Circle. You can walk behind it, which gives you a very different view. We went behind and got completely soaked, but it was worth it. Great photo spot. Parking wasn’t free.

Absolutely gorgeous! Well worth taking a few minutes to just stand there and take in the atmosphere, vibes and views. The parking is a bit expensive, but at the same time, you’re not there every day, it’s a bit of a once in a lifetime thing so I think it’s worth it! If you don’t then you can probably be a bit cheeky and just drive up to the waterfall, but not park - you won’t get as close but the view is still great!

Have you ever thought about how to make the experience of a waterfall even better? This waterfall is one of the most incredible experiences you can have in Iceland. You can admire the stunning landscape of South Iceland, where the waterfall is located. The water rushes from a high above, plunging 40 meters down and then cascading into a veil of water before reaching the flat surface below. This creates the most beautiful scenery, with a stream, green fields, blue sky, and pretty little flowers. You can walk beyond this waterfall, which is absolutely worth the climb (just be careful!). You'll get very wet, but the photo op is totally worth the struggle. Then, take a walk to the left for about 500 meters to the next waterfall. It's a bit draining, but you'll love the experience of nature in Iceland. Have a blast!
