Where to Celebrate the New Year in D.C. | Eater DC

"Kick off New Year’s Eve at Dupont’s new Latin-influenced wonderland Selva with a four- or five-course dinner composed of shareable starters, a small plate, main, and sweet finale. Highlights include seafood ceviche, A5 wagyu steak tartare, octopus skewers, flat iron steak with chimichurri over cilantro rice, butterflied branzino, and decadent dessert towers, plus the option to add on a Champagne-and-caviar pairing. The celebratory affair, with seatings from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., is priced at $89 or $125." - Vinciane Ngomsi

INCREDIBLE coffee and pastries. Most beautiful spot to work in Brooklyn. The vibes are immaculate here. Latte, espresso, cappuccino and matcha were great. Need to also visit in the evening when it converts to a bar. Hugo is the owner, and the nicest person you’ll ever meet.

Cozy and welcoming space with music, coffee, tea, fresh pastries and sandwiches, cool work area, Wi-fi, gallery and vinyls, there is always something new and community oriented going on. Bar opens at 6pm till 2am with great wine selection and cocktails.

The space is great !! hidden gem in the neighborhood, if you work in computer and looking for a relaxed and big space to spends your days you found the spot, coffee is on point they also serve some variety of Colombian pastries which i fell in love with, try the empanadas! they are great and don’t forget to ask for the green sauce, at nighttime they sell beer and wine which is great to come and spend some times with your friends, really nice staff they were super attentive and nice. Really happy i found this place!!

10 out of 10 would recommend!! This spot is such a gem. I’m visiting and it has been a highlight of the trip. My friend suggested their empanadas and they are super delicious, traditional baked empanada. Their coffee and cafe service is great. Great light in the front of the shop. Not too busy. Excellent service. Please support this shop! Absolutely would recommend to anyone local or visiting!!

Great little spot with a performance sound system, house turntables, and a vinyl collection featuring prints from Japan and Brazil. House musical selection when there are no performances typically spans the spectrum of Brazilian musical styles: MPB, bossa nova, tropicalia, psychedelia, etc.. Need to return to spend more time digging through the bins.

Been to two zine events here now! Both times with my sister and niece. First time was a smaller release party, got to chat with the owner who was giving me wine recommendations. Love the record collection and gallery. The second was for the Secret Riso Club zine fair, which was packed out! I love the community they're building here, and any spot with a giant Heather Benjamin piece in the foyer is cool with me. Looking forward to going to many more zine events and other things in the future.
