Where to Celebrate the New Year in D.C. | Eater DC
"Kick off New Year’s Eve at Dupont’s new Latin-influenced wonderland Selva with a four- or five-course dinner composed of shareable starters, a small plate, main, and sweet finale. Highlights include seafood ceviche, A5 wagyu steak tartare, octopus skewers, flat iron steak with chimichurri over cilantro rice, butterflied branzino, and decadent dessert towers, plus the option to add on a Champagne-and-caviar pairing. The celebratory affair, with seatings from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., is priced at $89 or $125." - Vinciane Ngomsi
INCREDIBLE coffee and pastries. Most beautiful spot to work in Brooklyn. The vibes are immaculate here. Latte, espresso, cappuccino and matcha were great. Need to also visit in the evening when it converts to a bar. Hugo is the owner, and the nicest person you’ll ever meet.

10 out of 10 would recommend!! This spot is such a gem. I’m visiting and it has been a highlight of the trip. My friend suggested their empanadas and they are super delicious, traditional baked empanada. Their coffee and cafe service is great. Great light in the front of the shop. Not too busy. Excellent service. Please support this shop! Absolutely would recommend to anyone local or visiting!!

I’ll be coming back for the empanadas (incredible), coffee (on point), service (friendly, not cloying), to check out the gallery (warm and unpretentious), and to shop for records without keeping my girlfriend waiting while I paw through every LP in the joint. 11/10.

Great little spot with a performance sound system, house turntables, and a vinyl collection featuring prints from Japan and Brazil. House musical selection when there are no performances typically spans the spectrum of Brazilian musical styles: MPB, bossa nova, tropicalia, psychedelia, etc.. Need to return to spend more time digging through the bins.

Yelp
I love selva. Always interesting events going on. Love the art galley a lot. Love the karaoke night as well!

Yelp
This spot is multi-purpose and kind of dive-y. I'm not sure what the target market is based on the decor or the layout but it's definitely trying to do too much and unfortunately none of it particularly well. It could be good for a work-from-home situation during the day.

Yelp
Came here for a networking event and learned it's a combo art gallery/bar/event space. The ladies room was spacious and they do have complementary water available. Seating was nice near the front door and apparently they have events some Friday nights where you'll be able to hear live music (as was the case later on in the evening at my event). This is closer to the first place I lived in NYC so probably a great place to go if you live near the L train or like that artsy Brooklyn aesthetic. Not sure I'd return since it's a bit of a hike for me.
