"I noticed Semonlina, LA’s favorite dried pasta purveyor, has expanded its in-store food offerings in Pasadena (1976–1978 Lincoln Avenue) and is becoming what founder Leah Ferrazzani always wanted: a California-inspired version of the Italian delis of her New York childhood, with new pasta shapes and sauces, a larger array of Italian sandwiches available daily, and Italian ice." - Cathy Chaplin
After hearing rave reviews, we ordered a gift for a family member who lives close by. The store owners personally reached out offering to just take it over themselves instead of sending it through the mail. They also offered to write a handwritten message for us. They went completely above and beyond without having to. It’s so rare for a business to have this kind of integrity and care nowadays, and we can’t possibly express our appreciation enough! Also their store is fantastic.

My sister Jeri and I took a ravioli class. Our instructor Patra was amazing. She led us through each application. We started with making pasta for the ravioli. Then we let the pasta rest. We moved into the kitchen
Where we learned how to make a purple cauliflower pureed and ricotta pecorino pureed for the two fillings. We were given instructions for tomato sauce.
We had a generous portion of both ravioli to partake in with a glass of wine.
We both felt confident we could make pasta at home.
The husband Andy is a fun-loving guy. You can purchase fresh pasta and dry,
Sauce, dessert, and wine.
You can go home and have Italian meals in less than 15 minutes. The ingredients are fresh, too.
Semolina is a Bayview gem.
Thank you,

Great family run store! We really love the homemade pasta, fresh sauces, Caponata and the Cannoli Kit. Also, they are well stocked with all the extra things you might need for a great meal like wine, olive oils, finishing salts, and vinegars. Love this place!

They were SOOOOOOOO extremely kind here and have amazing fresh products! I'd been searching all over for some mafaldine pasta. I stopped in one day just before closing, only to learn that they were sold out. They explained when they'd have more in as they make it fresh. I called on that day, and they asked how many bags were needed. They were willing to pull the amount I needed once they were done making it. After we talked about when I wanted to pick it up and what I had planned to use it for, they suggested I wait a couple of days and they'd dry it out for me. They were willing to put two bags to the side. I couldn't pick them up on the day I initially said because the roads were blocked due to the marathon. They held the bags for another day and had them bagged with my name on it when I came to pick them up. Let me say, this pasta was so amazing and such a hit with my friends and family. And if the exceptional customer service wasn't enough... the cost/value is phenomenal!

Pasta making class was very educational while also being so fun as well. It was worth every penny to have that experience and we look forward to doing the Ravioli class in the near future!

This review is long overdue, but we picked up one of their “picnic packs” this past summer and it was a huge hit with our friends and family! It consisted of various cured meats, cheeses, olives and fresh fruit! It was so good, highly recommend if you’re looking for a good charcuterie board!

Yesterday, when it was in the 90's, we were on a bike ride and we stopped at Semolina to check it out. Because it was in the 90's we didn't get any of the fresh pasta, but we got some of the dried pasta from the shop. We made it today, along with marinara and meat sauce. The pasta was fabulous. It would be great with some olive oil and sliced grilled marinated chicken as the side dish. We will definitely be back to get some of their fresh pasta.
Fabulous.
Ten stars, if I could.
