Semsom Eatery

This place is amazing. It's a little on the expensive side for a casual lunch (~$12 for a bowl) but you really do get a bang for your buck. I got a rice bowl with meatballs, yogurt and eggplant and it was asking. Everything is amazingly spiced and tastes so unique and amazing. The place itself is cute and staff is super friendly too.. I love coming here.

The food is delicious. I order catering from this place kind of regularly because everyone loves the food. The service however can definitely be improved. They've done a very last minute catering request for us before and I was impressed how well the catering manager worked with me, she was wonderful. That was the only time I could commend them on their customer service. I won't go into further detail, but I will the deliveries are usually late.

Good eats, nice atmosphere, cool tunes. This isn't your ordinary healthy Mediterranean styled cuisine. With some flair, a calm surrounding, you can have a delicious meal on a sofa, bench or stool. This is an excellent place to have something refreshing and new. Definitely worth a visit.

I had the lamb and it was really good! The portion is decent between the protein and rice, although I'd like to see more variation on toppings and sauce. The place is small but spacious. LevelUp works there as well.

Loved Semsom! The Hummus is among the best I've had outside of Lebanon. My friend and I shared a beef platter and a chicken platter. The chicken was super tender and delicious. The beef was also very good. The eggplant sauce was great - loved the tangyness, even though I'm not usually a fan of eggplant. The yoghurt sauce is a must have. It's great to see Mediterranean food served in such a fresh way! I'll definitely be dropping by again on my next trips to New York.

I am the pickiest eater alive and was forced by a friend to try Semsom. I was BLOWN AWAY by the food there (especially the Taouk chicken)! They are constantly upgrading their menu to fit customer requests which I love (thanks for adding the brown rice as an option!) Great thing to eat before or after a workout as well, highly recommended!

Normally love this place, but it's been going downhill. They often run out of food around lunchtime and don't notify anyone until you've spent 15 mins waiting in line. The icing on the cake was the experience I had today being treated really rudely by the staff. Arrived early to make sure I could actually get food, only to be snickered and laughed at by the staff when I couldn't hear what they were mumbling behind the glass and asked them to repeat. Not a great feeling to be treated so poorly.

Stumbled on this eatery as I was waiting for a show to start. Loved the food and staff. Try the cauliflower and the hummus. Also really like their story! 2 sisters started it a few years ago and still run it
