All the Dallas Restaurant Openings, July 2025 | Eater Dallas

"Owner Maurico Gallegos, formerly of Xayman Cafe and Ayahuasca Cantina , opened this spot in the same center as Tiffany Derry’s Roots Southern Table and Radici Wood Fire Grill , the Dallas Observer reports . Most of the food on the menu at this tropical taqueria is made with pork, hence the unserious name. Diners will see a few appetizers that aren’t like esquites and a nopales salad, but things like carnitas, chicharrones with guacamole, and pork shoulder are the focus. Diners can also forgo an order of carnitas tacos and order the shredded pork by the pound. The carnitas are also served in the form of a torta, a bowl, or stuffed in flautas. Chef Leonardo Hernandez, formerly at the now-closed Yellow Rosa in Deep Ellum, is heading up the kitchen." - Courtney E. Smith

Omg this place is amazing! From appetizer to drinks to tacos. The flavors of the meats were perfect. We ended up getting more tacos. Everyone that helped us was very attentive, friendly, fast, and knowledgeable of menu. They have a cute dining space very colorful and inviting. LOVE THE PINK! Oh and restroom's were nicely stocked and clean. Will definitely recommend and be back soon! Thank you Salomon, Javier, and Olinda for your amazing service!

Deliciousness! The best carnitas in DFW! We had an amazing experience this weekend. My husband and I came, each of us had the 4 tacos combo. The maciza and costilla were crunchy and soft at the same time, so delicious! The frijoles, esquites, guacamole perfect pairing, with chicharron. Also tried the curado! Salomón was the best! He room care of us from our arrival to our departure.

Absolutely delicious!! New go-to place. The chicharrón is some of the best I’ve ever had! The yellow sauce is to die for!! 🤤 My drink was a pineapple-basil agua fresca.

Who doesn’t love a torta? Who doesn’t love a torta piled high with rich and flavorful carnitas! That’s right, nobody. Señor Oink was every bit as delicious as we hoped. Combine that with super friendly service and you’ve got a recipe for success. I can’t wait to go back and try the carnitas by the pound; or maybe 2?

I recently visited Señor Oink, and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Every dish tasted like it was made with care. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had a great atmosphere for family or friends. If you’re looking for good portions, great service, and delicious food, I definitely recommend giving Señor Oink a try. This is my second time being here. Wish there was one closer to Denton.

Food was amazing, remind me of a Place in Mexico called La Cochinita. The Maciza, cueritos y buche are deliciosos. Service, the guys are quick and friendly, always asking if you need or want something else. Atmospheres, they had Mexican Alternative rock. Estuvo chingón la cena música de Molotov, Cafe Tacuva, Control Machete y más .

Best Christmas Tamales in town. Got three dozen for work party. Also love the flautas and esquites. Agua fresca is a must! And for dessert the Arroz con leche!

Google
I went to this place because of their Instagram reviews and influencer post. But it was so disappointing, the service and atmosphere it’s amazing. But the food was overrated or the time and day I went they were not feeling it. Food didn’t had flavor, the portion was so poor, and the taco was just fat no meat, the meat with skin it was just fat, no skin and saggy, not crunchy at all, guacamole with no flavor in it, the drinks was amazing but I’ll show you on the pictures what I got for $75.00….. I don’t care about money when it comes to food but it has to be delicious, this day I regret it not going to another places I have on my list since I love exploring different restaurants. But this place it’s a no no for me.

Yelp
I recently visited Señor Oink's in Farmers Branch and honestly, what a pleasant surprise. Serving only pork is already a risky move, but the second you walk in, you can tell that risk has paid off. The vibes are great, the place feels fun and welcoming, and the staff couldn't be friendlier. I had the barriga tacos and they were incredible--so flavorful and perfectly cooked. They come with three kinds of salsa, and the mango habanero was my favorite. It's the perfect sweet and spicy combo that takes the tacos to another level. It's always nice to see a place putting their heart into what they do. Keep looking out for the little guy and keep up the great work, Señor Oink's. You've got something special here.

Yelp
Real Mexican flavor for Carmitas tacos! Love it ! Don't go on Sunday because is very crowded. The pork belly dish is a must! Real Mexican Chicharron ! Careful with drinks prices!

Yelp
I saw this place on social media and was excited to try it. A pig-centric restaurant sounded right up my alley. Unfortunately, I can only give it 3 stars. We ordered the four taco plate: pork butt, pork rib, pork belly, and a combo taco with all the meats. Honestly, there was no real difference between the pork butt and pork rib, and while they were fine, they didn't stand out. The pork belly was the best of the bunch. We also tried the corn, the beans, and a pineapple basil aqua fresca. The aqua fresca was a highlight with a really nice flavor spin. The sides were not very hot either and the portions on those seemed kinda chintzy. On the downside, the tortillas were a little dry, the dining room was uncomfortably cold (and I almost never complain about AC), and the music was louder than it needed to be. Service was solid, but overall the food didn't quite match the hype.

Yelp
Really was looking forward to this place but left very disappointed. I appreciated the usage of various cuts of meats on their tacos however, while the meat was cooked nicely all the tacos were just average at best. (We ordered one of each minus the veggie ones). They were also missing a nice salsa to complement these. The 2 salsas served in the table were just lackluster and just didn't do the tacos the justice they deserved. We also tried the guacamole and pork belly app again just bland. The drinks were pretty weak too, tried a Paloma and a mezcal one and both incredibly watered down. Cool vibe and concept but very poor execution.

Yelp
This fun taqueria is serving delicious porky goodness! Counter service with a full bar serving tropical drinks. Staff was very friendly. This place is hopping, so seating is first come first serve -- both inside and outside -- and be prepared to wait for food to come up. All the tacos we tried were tasty, the chicharrones are so crispy, and the flautas were delicious! If you can get some of the salsa Machu TRY IT! Spicy and salty!

Yelp
For off - the food is fresh - chopped vegetables in each of the dishes I had / and the use of pork is very creative. They use it all- the best is anything with pork bellies ! The piña colada had a nice level of alcohol too- frozen and not too sweet. The service was good and timely - the length of smiles and attention from the staff. The TVs had sports on - golf one day on one TV which I watched... and rugby on the next. Service was also fast because very few people were there. Menu at: https://www.sroink.com/

Yelp
5/5 Oinks! Genius concept. Low cost of meat and charged $4-$6 per taco with a menu all in Spanish. Googled a lot of words but tacos are out of this world! Particularly the Oink Supremo and the Cochina Playa. Pork belly comes with the chicherone guacamole ap or you can also order the pork belly off menu in a taco or by the slice or by the pound. It's deep fried and delicious! Definitely see this place blowing up! From the same owner that brought you coffee shop with speak easy attached in bishop arts district!

Yelp
Went early on a Friday evening, looking for something close to Joya park. This place is delicious!!! We got the chicharrones and 1 lb mixed meat make your own tacos. Every single component of the meal was full of flavor. The meat was rich and juicy. The pico and sauces were perfect. The pineapple basil Agua Fresca alone would be worth going back for! Esme very kindly helped when I had questions on the menu and took great care of us. We sat outside where the music was a little quieter for my kiddo but the inside decor is also cool and modern.

Yelp
Holy cow, or should I say pig? They specialize in only pork and they do it well! I had 4 different cuts in each taco and all were so well done. I prefer some cuts over others, but I wanted to try as many as I could. Personal preference aside all were great. Sides are sometimes an afterthought but the Beach beans (refried) were also very good.

Yelp
Fresh tortillas/ fresh carnitas. Chilaquiles we're on point and they accommodated for my kids peculiar request of bean and cheese burrito

Yelp
Felt welcome right when I walked in the door! They were so helpful and the food was DELICIOUS! Had Taco & Torta No wait and food came out quick. Ps - If they add breakfast tacos / breakfast burritos. That would be the cherry on top! Overall 5stars!

Yelp
The absolute BEST street tacos in Texas. Not your typical Mexican joint. Based on the name, they only serve pork. The seasoning and sauces are incredible. The quality is definitely a gourmet experience without a snobby location. If you don't understand the menu, the staff is great about explaining each item. The elote is perfect. Made from corn off the cob, real cream and scrumptious cheese. A party of 4 should order by the pound. It highly recommend the Surtida del Senor. It's a pound of 3 types of pork that includes tortillas, Pico de Gallo and sauces of your choice. Make sure to ask for all their sauces. Each is unique and made in house. Nothing too spicy. Just enough heat to make it even more delicious. We had the fresh raspberries and cream for dessert. Perfect ending to the meal. Refreshing with no sugar added. This place is a MUST for all foodies.

Yelp
Great service but the food not so much. Nice environment, loved sitting outside. I went there based on IG influence. When I got there it was not at all what I saw on IG, the chicharron bar was quite small and sparse. I ordered the chicharron and guacamole. I got six pieces and regular pork skins and guacamole. No flavor and the guacamole tasted artificial. I also ordered a burrito, the meat was well seasoned, lots of fatty flavor but it was cut to big... so when you took a bite- you either had to cut it or stuff your mouth. It was kinda gross actually, the beans tasted ok- but it was too much and not enough rice to help retain or absorb some of the moisture and integrity of the burrito. Nothing like the picture.. not was. Everything had pineapple or a sweet component. The mango habanero was basically like a syrup. Great service but not the food unfortunately no. Has potential, not likely to go there again.
