"All five senses will be satisfied by a visit to the gourmet restaurant of the Hotel Residence. Housed in a splendid 18C palazzo just a few metres from the famous cathedral, the restaurant boasts an interior design which combines modern and functional features with the building’s classic look, using a colour scheme which is typical of the Amalfi Coast. Although the cuisine focuses mainly on Mediterranean fish and seafood, the menu also features a few meat specialities." - Michelin Inspector

We got so lucky that we were able to walk in for a special dinner. We did the 4 courses taste menu. Was going to order the traditional one but they highly recommend this one. The food was over my expectations and the staffs there were incredibly nice. Would highly recommend this place.

My husband and I have been to Sensi twice, enjoying each time there greatly. The whole experience is top-notch. Salvatore remembers his guests and ensures that their time at the restaurant is perfect. We enjoyed doing the full tasting menu with wine pairings & would recommend that to anyone who goes. Both the outside tables and inside tables have beautiful views, personally we enjoy the inside and ambiance you get from dining in there. We're looking forward to our next trip to Amalfi and going back to Sensi!

6 course with wine paring HEAVEN! Food stunning and the wine paring by Pasqualino with so clever. A little difficult to find but it’s worth hunting out. If you can’t make dinner then do the lunch. This restaurant is the jewel of the Amalfi Coast

We’ve lived in Italy for five years and hands down this is the best meal we’ve had. My wife took me here for my birthday. We had the six course menu. Every course exceeded the previous. One course in particular, hibiscus infused risotto, was outstanding and unique. Could not recommend the restaurant more.

My husband and I went to Sensi 3 weeks ago and I haven’t stopped thinking about these beautiful plates. BEYOND delicious and inventive. Service was top notch and the chef was accommodating to excluding limoncello (as we do not drink) from his signature shrimp dish. We were so grateful for that because that was one of our favorites. If we find ourselves back in Amalfi again, we are coming back to do the 10 course meal! Thank you for having us.

From the moment my husband brought me here for the holidays, I was captivated. The welcome drinks, a delightful dance of alcoholic nuances, set the tone for an extraordinary experience. The culinary escapade that followed was nothing short of perfection – from tantalizing starters to mouthwatering mains, concluding with desserts that bordered on divine. Each dish accompanied by a meticulously curated wine pairing, ensuring a symphony of tastes that linger on the palate. Portions were just the right size, catering to all, including those with dietary restrictions, celiac like me. The service, a shining beacon of hospitality, earned every bit of its 5-star rating. Attentive, knowledgeable, and filled with spot-on recommendations, the staff elevated the entire dining affair. For anyone fortunate enough to find themselves in Amalfi, this is not just a restaurant; it's an invitation to indulge in culinary bliss. Meeting the chef and exploring the kitchen was the realization of a food lover's dream – a testament to the incredible talent and passion that infuse every aspect of this extraordinary establishment. Don't miss the chance to create your own unforgettable culinary tale in Amalfi. Embark on a sensory odyssey at this breathtaking haven where the allure of beauty meets the ecstasy of flavors.

Yelp
My husband and I had a great time here with their six-course tasting menu. Each course was prepared with precision and care. We enjoyed most of the dishes, but the majority of them had cured fish or vegetables. At a Michelin starred restaurant, I would have expected more fresh seafood and vegetables. A good number of them had more acidic profiles than we were used to. For example, they had a vinegar beet risotto, which was odd to me. It was topped with flavorful shrimp and fennel, but the sour risotto on the bottom was odd (1 star off). My favorite course was the pasta course (always the best course in Italy), and my second favorite was the dessert course. The bread service was amazing. Both the sourdough and focaccia were delicious. You could even select the olive oil to go with your bread. As someone picky about olive oil, I enjoyed reading through their olive oil "menu". The view of the water was nice, although you do see a little bit of the bus terminal and people frantically trying to get on what might be the last bus of the night. There is quite a bit of street noise from motorists honking and the occasional band playing from the town square. Other than that, the noise level lowers as the evening goes on, and the ambiance is lovely.

Yelp
There's a new wind blowing like I've never known I'm breathing deeper than I've even done And it sure feels good to finally feel the way I do And I want to love somebody, love somebody like you... We ate lunch at Sensi, on their patio overlooking the Med. Sea...Beautiful.. We dined on "Burrata Cheese w. Pomodoro Tomatoes"...A most delicious melt in your mouth bite. "Grilled Octopus w. Smashed Potatoes", tasting sweet flavours of the Amalfi Coast. "Scialatielli Pasta w. Zucchini, Clams and Amalfi Lemons", quite honestly the best pasta dish had most anywhere. A Culinary Delight..:) Yeah I want to feel the sunshine Shining down on me and you When you put your arms around me You let me know there's nothing in this world I can't do..:) Best, Avram K. Yelp
We happened upon this gem of a Michelin restaurant. What a great find! Amazing view, incredible wine and food and a very friendly staff. Sensi was only open for lunch and we had a great meal. We started with octopus, tuna with avocado and the burrata. Then a primi of pasta, which was excellent and then shared the sea bass which was a local favorite and a crowd pleaser. For dessert we tried them all- the lemon dessert was the favorite and the chocolate a close second. The restaraunt is incredibly beautiful and has a dramatic view of Amalfi and the coast line. Don't miss this one!!!

Yelp
Most incredible lunch! Would go back 100 times. One of our top 3 restaurants during out 10 day stay on the coast. HIGHLY recommend!!

Yelp
went there for lunch. this is a michelin starred restaurant right off the square in front of the mai church in amalfi town. the service is excellent and the view is very nice. we were very excited about the food however the pasta seemed undercooked and bland to both me and my wife, and the sea bass cooked in the "acqua pazaa style tasted watery and bland also. maybe we didn't order correctly (lunch); there is a more extensive menu for dinner.

Yelp
We went to the Amalfi Coast in June 2019 for our honeymoon, and our trip was full of amazing meals but Sensi was absolutely the best. They started us off with an amuse bouche, which was delicious. We had appetizers, octopus and beef tartare, and both ordered pasta dishes for entrees. Everything was wonderful, and the service was great. I hope we get a chance to come back here again! The ONLY thing I would change is that when we ordered the beef tartare, the waiter asked if raw meat was okay and looked rather pointedly at my stomach. I wasn't pregnant, and we had already ordered a bottle of wine. But other than that, everyone was extremely personable and attentive.

Yelp
Sensi in Amalfi was one of the best restaurants we ate at while in Italy and especially around the Amalfi Coast. From the service to the food to the wine selection, it was amazing! We had the 8 course chef's menu and we loved every dish. Highly recommend the L'Astice (lobster in crust), Il Polpo (grilled octopus), and Il Risotto. The mustard gelato served with the beef tartare also blew my mind! Very creative and super delicious dishes here. They are located inside a hotel. I think there is an entrance to the restaurant from outside the hotel, but we happened to enter through the the hotel. While the front desk of the hotel was not super welcoming and seemed unhappy to direct us to the restaurant, Sensi staff made up for it! The atmosphere is sophisticated but not stuffy. The terrace seating overlooks the Amalfi beach and ferry/bus stop, so it's not super secluded but good for ocean views and people watching. If you come early enough, you can also catch the sunset; not a direct view of the sunset, but still beautiful to watch the sky change colors. There are so many amazing restaurants in Amalfi that we were torn on where to have dinner and started questioning whether we made the right choice. After experiencing dinner at Sensi, we definitely made the right choice!

Yelp
Excellent meal, best we've had in amalfi so far! Went for lunch and was told we could pick where we wanted to sit, so of course picked the best table with a gorgeous view of the bay. Staff was some of the most warm and friendly that we have experienced in Italy so far, did not act like they were bothered by our (obviously) touristy selves. Food was beautiful and delicious. Was more pricy than some of the other restaurants we considered, but honestly worth the difference. Will definitely be back when in amalfi again!

Yelp
The best restaurant I have ever been to in all of my work travels. The service from the moment you step in from coat/umbrella check to the service through out the entire meal. The staff did not miss a beat. I am a very very picky eater and the dishes have the right amount of texture and flavor through out. The wine list was very extensive as all great italian restaurants are I recommended getting a local wine as that is what I had and it was excellent. The best part of the meal was the lemon dessert. It was wonderful. I will be back this place deserves all 3 Michelin stars. Thank you Alessandro Tormolino and the GM what wonder experience and end to my trip.

Yelp
Fantastic .... Should be Michelin rated .... stoped in for Dinner .... Staff extremely hospitable and very professional... ask to sit on Balcony view almost as good as the food :) I would recommend the multi course meal ( even though we didnt ) simply because each course was a gastronomic work of art ! Loved the stuffed Calamari .... 10+. Enjoy

Yelp
Our family of 5 went here on our recent visit to Amalfi. The venue is beautiful with an amazing view but we did not have a good experience here. It's over priced, the portions are tiny, tiny, tiny (9 pieces total in the gnocchi dish) and the food is pretty average. I was the only one that ordered a starter and they brought that with everyone else's main course. Then after I finished my starter and everyone was done with their meals, I had to wait another 15 minutes until they brought my entree. They should have brought my starter and then brought my entree with everyone else. The waiter barely checked in on us. I will say that the lobster appetizer very good and the amuse bouche was a nice touch.

Yelp
My wife and I were staying nearby in Amalfi and decided to see if we could get a table on the balcony overlooking the water even though we didn't have reservations. So glad we did! We were seated on the balcony and had the best meal of our trip! The service was incredibly good. The sommelier was particularly good, offering the perfect wine accompaniment for our dishes, as well as cocktail recommendations at the end of our meal. The amuse bouche was very good, but the appetizers and the entrees were amazing! The lobster appetizer served with a jalapeño infused olive oil was so good, I honestly almost ordered another, but stopped myself. The turbot (white fish) was fantastic with a really well-balanced and tasty caper and ginger sauce. We also had the scallop appetizer and the sea bass. All were good. For dessert. We had the lemon dessert and the hazelnut mousse. Both very good and were paired with a chocolate liquor and a very strong walnut liquor respectively. The food was all perfectly prepared, the service amazing and the setting was beautiful. All this, and the prices are actually very reasonable. I highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband and agreed that this is the best meal we have ever had. It's perfection, the chef is an artist that keeps surprising your palate with a joyful journey you don't want to end!

Yelp
This was one of THE BEST meals I have ever had. The lobster appetizer was incredible! It is served with a sweet and sour sauce that matched perfectly. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we were given complimentary tasting appetizers and deserts. If you do not eat here while in Amalfi, you are truly missing out!!
