I just finished having lunch here with a friend. It was our first visit and we left very happy and full. We tried the pork gyoza and shrimp shumai dumplings appetizers. The gyoza were fantastic! 🥟 we shared three different sushi rolls including the “Hollywood“, “special effects“ and the “surf and turf“. My favorite of the three had to be the surf and turf. It had both shrimp and A5 Wagyu steak thinly sliced and laid on top then seared with a torch 🥩🔥 The service was great. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The only thing I would give four stars on is the atmosphere. We sat at a two person table and were very close to another couple that was eating. It was hard to focus on our conversation since I could hear the couple next to me talking also. As we left we noticed they had opened a window to the outside sidewalk where you can also sit at their bar and enjoy drinks and order food. I would have opted for that if offered when I came in. But again we left very satisfied and definitely would return. It’s hard to find good sushi in the area and this place is doing it right.

Google
Best Sushi experience I have had in a long time. Great servers, Amazing Sushi chefs. They gave perfect sushi suggestions. They got me the last butter cake in house and it was delicious. Tokyo mule was good. Everything was clean. Top rated Sushi bar. Thank you for the best experience.

Google
The new date night spot for me and hubby. The food is DELICIOUS & fresh, the service is good, Sushi chefs Michael and his wife Mary are highly skilled and fun to watch from the sushi bar. Mason and Abby are attentive servers. We're happy to become regulars.

Google
This place was incredible. The location is in the perfect spot to scope out your next activity. The food was phenomenal. We were eating dinner and being hosted by a customer in Peach Tree. So glad our host knew about this place. Teresa was our waitress. She anticipated our every need and had the best recommendations of what food to get next. We were stuffed, but couldn’t turn down the dessert she brought out that ended up being the best cake I’ve ever had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Google
My recent visit to Sensu was a great experience. I was extremely impressed with the assortment of sashimi available. The chef’s presentation of all the platters was impeccable. In addition to the traditional sauces they provide an assortment of pepper purée ‘s that compliment each dish. They have a quaint intimate setting at the bar , where I sat and was pleasantly surprised and their drink menu. Teresa took care of us and made sure every request we had was met to our expectations. Being from LA, I was so pleased to have found this gem of real traditional sushi establishment. I highly recommend my experience to anyone looking for a great sushi experience.

Google
Food is great. Service ranges from kind of bad to really bad. The staff is really nice and are clearly working hard, but it seems to be chronically understaffed. Like, by more than one person. Last three times I’ve gone, it has taken a really long time to get food. The most recent was abysmal though. Almost 30 minutes to get drinks. Food trickled out. 1.5 hours before rolls came out. I hope they get it together. I like having it there, but if I’m going to spend $150-$200 taking my family out to dinner, I want it to be an enjoyable experience.

Google
I had tried this place a few months back and enjoyed everything! I ordered different items today, and I found the food underwhelming. I ordered the trust me roll, shrimp tempura lunch, and the fried octopus. My fried octopus looked like it was over fried or fried in old oil because the coating was super dark and falling off. It also didn't eat fresh as well and found the octopus quite tough. When I ordered the trust me roll, I thought it would be something very different or a 1 of kind roll, but the roll wasn't anything extraordinary. It was a roll I could order from anywhere and definitely didn't have the appeal of it being 1 of kind. All in all, the food was mediocre today and wasn't on par with my first experience. Pricy for mediocre food, but if it's consistently good, I wouldn't mind spending a little extra for it.

Google
Everything about Sensu is top tier from the food to the ambience to the service! I've been here a lot but my most recent dinner I sat at the bar and had the super rainbow roll, a salad and the katsudon with chicken for dinner. Everything was fresh and made with care. And topped it off was the best old fashioned made with Uncle Nearest Rye!

Steel S.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by to check out this sushi spot. Everything about our experience was WONDERFUL! From the hostess (Sonja) greeting us with charm, to our bartender Tony, excellent Old Fashioned maker, our entrance was to die for. Don't get that much anymore. Tony suggested the crab cake, amazing! My wife and I had the Shrimp Tempora and edamame as appetizers. Tony suggested extra spicy for the edamame, spot on! For entrees we had the Black Dragon and Hollywood rolls. EXCELLENT! In all, wonderful experience! I'm now a regular!

Tammy V.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I do not eat seafood. That being said - sushi is my daughter's favorite food. I've gone to many sushi restaurants and this one is the first time I have left happy. If you're familiar with my reviews you know that I have ALWAYS been served last at Sushi places. I have often watched my family consume all of their meals while still waiting for something as basic as yakisoba. Sensu is literally the only Sushi restaurant that served up my gyoza and yakisoba BEFORE the sushi. For the record- the food was delicious. My daughter enjoyed the sushi. We ordered a bottle of wine. The wine selection is very limited. Thank you Sensu for the great service.

Yelp
This should be a 4.5 Star review. Let's talk sushi restaurants! Located in the beautiful heart of Trilith you will find many tasty restaurants and amongst them yo will locate Sensu. Small cool vibes exterior with a decent amount of occupancy inside. We popped in here w/o reservations on a Friday evening around 5:30 for my husbands birthday. We were greeted and sat immediately I'm assuming this is rare based off of another customers reaction that does dine in regularly to how slow it was on a Friday. Very visibly clean and more casual than I expected (I did over dress in my opinion). The drink menu was full of inventive drinks and I chose the ginger whiskey mule. Unfortunately, I did not like and I was unable to get a new drink without paying a second time. No exchanges if you don't like your drink too bad, buy another or drink the one you got. That changed my 5 star review to 4.5. We ordered a table full of fresh sushi. If you think you have tried good sushi you haven't tried Sensu. I lived in the NW for awhile and Sensu comes close to fresh out of the water sushi. They have outdone themselves. The Sashimi was melt in your mouth INCREDIBLE. The service was wonderful, but the sushi takes the cake. Try this place your tastebuds will thank you. Cleanliness: 5 Price: For the quality 100% worth it $100.00 for two people with tip - 1 alcohol beverage, Edamame, Miso soup x2 and several rolls Customer service: 5 star Food quality: 5 star Alcohol policy- 4 star

Yelp
Tried to make reservations 3 different times on three different days and they never answer the phone Customer service is horrible and wont be going there

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. I have been looking for some new sushi spots. The service was great. I was seated right away and the server helped me decide on a cocktail. I went with the Spicy Sy. It was so good. Just the right kick to it. I skipped appetizers and went start to ramen and sushi! The roll I got at Ahi Crunch Roll. Let me tell you. That tuna melted in my mouth. And the sweetness of the snow crab! Perfect combo. I got the tan tan ramen with karaage chicken. The broth with the crunch of the chicken was delicious. I plan to visit next week for lunch. Trilith area is becoming my favorite and this place is at the top of my list.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with one of my really good friends! This restaurant is in the new trailer Village in Fayetteville, Georgia. You can tell that the restaurant is new. Clean cut, they have outdoor seating, indoor, seating, bar, seating, high top, and a bar that is convertible to an outdoor bar. The sushi was fresh and my favorite item was the yuzu tuna appetizer. I also ordered the full cooked yellowtail BUT didnt enjoy it. The manager fixed it immediately and took it off the bill. The service recovery was seamless and we had a really II w conversation about fish, truly wholesome - which is why I'll leave it there. This place is a must go. Owner and bartenders were so nice !! I'd come back here again for sure.

Hambri Enta M.

Yelp
Amazing Asian liquor options and the sushi is sooo good! Had coconut sake that was very good. We ate there last weekend and already planned on going back today! Our server was super attentive and the service was overall very good. Thank you Mason!

Tiffany K.

Yelp
Got dinner there last weekend. They had a bit of a wait cause they were celebrating their annual. There were a bunch of tents, live music, and games setup outside. Waiting wasn't so bad with cornhole and a few takoyaki appetizers. Everything was delicious and fresh. We got a bottle of the Koyoto Nigori, which I personally think is far superior to the other nigori they offered (perfect snow). Definitely the best sushi restaurant in this area by far. Parking was free and easy to find! Go by the fairway social lot if the one in the middle is full!

Nancy A.

Yelp
Yessss yessss yessss. I was so anxious about not finding a good sushi restaurant in Fayetteville. We moved from midtown where I had a huge variety of choices, to chain restaurants. Tried a few unmentionables, until our friend told us about Sensu. My taste buds started singing. The appetizers were delicious. Squid was so flavorful. The sashimi melted in the mouth. And the rolls were spicy good. Lol I overdid it on the spicy. After a bit they all blended together. It's a bit pricey, but the quality is there. We are sushi aficionado so we will be there often. There's a whole menu to explore and I can't wait.

Marissa W.

Yelp
This location is perfect for Trilith area! My go to food selections are the mushroom tacos, dumplings, and kaniza sushi rolls! Service is always really good! I definitely would suggest sitting on the balcony outside if it's amazing day!

Nicole J.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I live in the area and came for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Plenty of parking around and we did not make a reservation for the restaurant. We were greeted and sat immediately. Be aware that this restaurant is small so make friends with your neighbors. After reviewing the menu, I ordered a roll with salmon and tempura inside. My boyfriend got a sashimi box with nigiri. We both enjoyed the freshness of the fish and the fast delivery. Overall, we had a great lunch and experience and will definitely be back again.

Patrick M.

Yelp
Decent Sushi spot in a small beautiful community. The sushi was good, not knock your socks off, but flavorful. The only knock is that we ordered specialty cocktails i had the dragonfruit mexicatini and my wife had the Dream Catcher. They were awful! No flavor at all, just straight liquor taste. We took a small sip of each and ask to take them away. The server was amazingly nice and respectful. Once we asked for them to be taken away and not put on the bill she said the manager said "no'. I understand no compliment drinks, but we had only taken a small sip for taste and that's it. The manager did come by and offered us some other drinks. My wife got a beer and i had a glass of wine. But the cocktails stayed on the bill. $28 for cocktails we didn't drink subbed out for $16 of better drinks! The manager also mentioned that she intends to remove the drinks in a few weeks because she knows they are not good? Okay, if you know they aren't good, why let us order them and refuse a refund when taken back? Overall not bad, just don't order the cocktails.

Ray C.

Yelp
After living in Japan for some time, I have to admit that I'm very picky about sushi. Sensu was not bad, but definitely not worth the price. The ambiance is great for sitting outside and people watching. Grab a drink, order some food and just relax. Just don't expect earth shattering flavor or service!

Eloisa M.

Yelp
Food was amazing, great customer service and it was a vibe!! I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back!!

Phyllis R.

Yelp
What a disappointment! On the advice of an acquaintance I tried take-out from this establishment. WOW what a rip off! Now I realize the price of everything has gone up but come on. I ordered the spider roll for $18.00. Thank goodness they included soy sauce because it was tasteless. I will let the picture speak for the rest ie: portion size and appearance.

Ashley C.

Yelp
My family and I walked around Trilith for 2hours waiting for them to open for dinner at 5pm and it was worth every minute! It's a small cozy spot but the sushi packs a big bite. Very fresh and buttery textures like I like. I wish I had the chance to taste the toro but the party of 16 who came right before us cleared them out :-) Lychee martini was dreamy!! The staff were friendly and attentive. I most definitely recommend and will be back soon

Yelp
"You gotta try Sensu!" "You gotta try Sensu!" "You gottaaaaaaa tryyyyy Sensu!" Yeah okay. Finally tried Sensu... And... We were NOT FANS. My husband and I kept making weird faces at each other during our meal together wondering WHY people talk so highly of this spot. It's a wannabe Hoity Toity sushi spot that really is mediocre at best. My husband got a roll on the menu that was spicy and a salmon cut roll. I'm surprised he didn't order more (he generally does) because I KNEW the portion sizes would be small... But he didn't because I think he had low expectations of this spot and didn't want to spend money on rolls he potentially might not like. And he was smart to do so because he wasn't impressed even a little bit. He ate his rolls because they were there but they did nothing for him. My son got the chicken teriyaki. Such a small portion. But he ate it. And didn't complain, so that's good. My mother in law got the shrimp tempura and again, small portion, but she ate it all and said it was fine. What did I get?! Well, being the big eater that I am and ignoring prices... I ordered TWO sashimi platters (because 9 pieces just is NOT enough for me) and a hamachi kama. The sashimi looked gorgeous... And the salmon was buttery and delicious. The hamachi was okay, but the tuna... Really FISHY. It seemed like it was about to TURN in all honesty. I ate all of it though as I waited for my hamachi kama. When that came out, I was pleasantly surprised by the size (it was large) but I could tell that it wasn't cooked enough. No parts of the meat were raw thankfully, but it was borderline undercooked, which tends to make me nauseated. Over all though, it was fine. And it filled me up (for $18- I mention this because the menu simply says MP next to it). Oh and we got edamame to start and there were like TWO edamame pods in the bowl..... My husband and I said we were glad we went to Sensu so as to find out that it's nothing special AT ALL. In fact, grocery store sushi and sashimi is better. We really don't understand the hype around this spot. There is another spot in PTC that's 834663857483x better. Sensu should take notes from that spot.

Damian M.

Yelp
Long time fan of Alvin's last sushi bar in Peach Tree City, Ginza. However, this was my first time Checking out the very much anticipated SENSU. With master sushi chef Alvin at the helm. What a treat. Great location just steps from Trilith Studios. Excellent front of house staff and of course......KILLER SUSHI. I highly recommend letting Alvin roll with your order and just order straight up Omakase (in Japanese, I'll leave it up to you)

Kiara T.

Yelp
Love the food here. This is my go to spot for a really good sushi. I love oyster and I just had the best deep fried oyster for the first time it's super duper good and sunrise roll which has fried oyster in it.

Faith S.

Yelp
Sushi and the rest of the food is only okay. Portions are small, prices are high. Not worth it tbh. The ambiance is nice and the bartender and the servers are nice and friendly so theres that

Amanda H.

Yelp
Really used to love this place, but the quality here has sadly taken a nose dive over the last year. The bar tender has been painfully slow and unfriendly when we're seated at the bar and over the last several months the quality of sushi and service has just really left us unimpressed. Not a great place to spend those hard earned dollars anymore.

Gabriella R.

Yelp
Fresh, real sushi was much needed for this area. Sensu is a perfect hidden gem. If you haven't ventured into Trilith to this spot, you're missing out. Great flavors, simple menu with incredible bites! The cocktails are stellar!! Definitely recommend the Captains Crush! They are crafted so uniquely. Service is superb. Very friendly staff that is full of wonderful recommendations. Decor is sleek, modern and simple. Look forward to sitting on the patio in the future trying other items on the menu.

John B.

Yelp
At the top of my Sushi restaurant list! I've been to Japan, they are right there with quality, but with an American feel.

Lacresha H.

Yelp
Sensu definitely is a new up beat llave for sushi and Asian food fare. I liked the set up for lunch with my husband and I; if I would have brought my children, the space would have been too tight. We sat at the sushi bar, and the sushi chef didn't speak , but our waitress was very nice. She engaged and answered any questions we may have had. It was clean and seems to be a n up and coming lunch scene on the Southside. The only thing I'd change is more outside seating or space inside and a mother restroom. It was right in the back waiting for the one.

Shannon D.

Yelp
We have been going to Sensu since it opened. The food and service have always been top notch. On our last two visits we noticed a change in quality of the food and not in a good way. We also noticed a change in culinary staff mainly the head chefs. May be a correlation there. The salmon carpaccio was cut much thicker the last two times. The miso soup tasted different, fishier, and our rolls just fell apart. Some were falling by apart before it was even brought to the table. I know the old chef was very particular about the quality of fish he used, but I swear we saw them bring out a bucket that had frozen packaged fish to start thawing out. The old chef would never have used frozen fish so it was pretty shocking to see. The waitstaff was as always super nice and helpful. Hope Sensu fixes their issues soon because I don't know if they will survive the way they are currently going.

Misha L.

Yelp
Sushi is amazing here!! Wow!! Just wow!! Ramen is good, drink is just ok, but the food is really really good!!

Alla A.

Yelp
Sooo I Just can't stay away from Sensu! My kids love it too! With addition of Ramen, my oldest is in heaven.. Their homemade, imaginative deserts always change and are creative and yummy. And as usual the quality of the sushi simply can not be beat!!! Recent Sake tasting (first ever hosted) was a hit and I'm hoping for more such events!

Erika C.

Yelp
Sensu was great! I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and the food was amazing. I had the mushroom tacos as an appetizer and one of their specialty rolls Kanzaki roll. Both were delicious and very satisfying. I think I'm going to take myself on a date here monthly. It was amazing & I will be coming back!

Alex D.

Yelp
I visited Sensu for the first time today. Not only was the service good, but so was the food. I ordered the caterpillar roll with a glass of white wine.

Tracy H.

Yelp
This is a great addition to the area. There wasn't a long wait for a Tuesday night dinner. There are plenty of sushi options but I decided to play it safe and get the California roll, which was good. The fried shrimp was fried soft, no crunch, but comes with a nice dipping sauce. The service was good and the staff is very friendly. I can't wait to try the mushroom tacos next time.

Elise B.

Yelp
I didn't take pics, but my fried oysters & 9 piece sashimi were divine. Wente Chardinnay - perfect accompaniment.

Drew F.

Yelp
Lovely sushi restaurant. Fish was super fresh and service was kind and quick. Lunch prices are really good as well. Will def be back!

Pamela L.

Yelp
Eating dinner at our favorite sushi place within a 5 minute walk from our apt. Staff is amazing Alvin listens and remembers what you like and is creative in his design of sushi. We end up here every weekend.

Kristen C.

Yelp
We ordered take out and have usually been pleased with the service and quality. However, tonight, we were met with extremely small servings and lack luster rolls. For the price that is expected, we would hope the quality would be as high.

Christina G.

Yelp
This is our absolute favorite restaurant! The food is outstanding and no matter what we order, we are always pleased with our meal. Staff are always very friendly, happy and polite. Can't wait to return (our weekly hot spot) and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere good to eat. #goodeats #bestsushi #happyplace #greatstaff #friendlyplace #delicious #greatchefs #hotspot

Helen S.

Yelp
Went lately. Gross. Won't be back. Our clothing smelled of grease. The zest is gone.

Stephen T.

Yelp
While visiting the area for work, a Local colleague recommended to me to try the new sushi spot in town. Upon arriving, staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was dining alone and sat at the Sushi bar. Chef Alvin offered amazing service and delicious recommendations. Not only did he create a enjoyable experience, he served up some of the freshest fish I've had in Georgia! I will 100% be back when in town!

Melody B.

Yelp
Great sushi, drinks, atmosphere, and service. It hits all of the things. Best in Trileth

Mindy D.

Yelp
So much potential. The sushi is amazing as Is the bartender who edited my drink to my liking. I have been here twice and the entrees are so so salty: The tempura is amazing just like when in Japan light and airy. The chef came out and apologized and identified the issue. She was amazing and fixed the experience

Leila M.

Yelp
My family took me on my birthday a couple weeks ago. The staff was horrible, they had us waiting and waiting. Finally the server took our order. About 15 min later they came out and told us they didn't have what we ordered on the menu.. 5 people ordered this dish, so we were going to cancel our order and leave since we haven't even gotten our drinks yet. The "I think" manager came out and said that in-fact they did have the dish so we stayed. It took a long time and finally came out. One of the Ramen bowls Had a long think black hair right on top!!! I don't even know how it went out like that. The other dishes were not very well done also. Then while paying we had a gift card to use toward the total. They added gratuity and seemed to do two checks separate with two added gratuities.... "The manger " tried to explain how they billed us, but didn't make much sense to me... needless to say, this place has gone down hill and we will not be returning.

Rick N.

Yelp
We arrived at 1:44 for lunch (they state they close at 2) and was told they wouldn't seat us because they stop seating at 1:45. Not in need of business, apparently. At any rate, they are not open until 2pm for lunch as stated.

Sugey D.

Yelp
Came here for the first time, and wow the food was delicious! Quick service and the waiter and hostess were very attentive and nice! Will definitely recommend this place!

Heather A.

Yelp
Great vibe and unbeatable service! Every single person greeted us and was so kind and attentive. The food was excellent and fresh as well. This is a local must!

Eric L.

Yelp
Fantastic place Alvin and Randy and their team have created a great restaurant with sushi and rolls unlike anything else in the area. My wife and I have been several times since they opened and every time the service, food and atmosphere is great I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for authentic Japanese cuisine and sake

Nancy M.

Yelp
We enjoyed a wonderful meal with family from Brooklyn NY. The freshness and presentation was exceptional. We've eaten sushi up and down the entire eastern seaboard, and Sensu rivals the best we've had.

Donna R.

Yelp
OMG the scallops! Tuna& avocado. Sushi is elevated to art here. Great service. What a treat in the Town at Trilith.

Sierra S.

Yelp
Best sushi in the area and surrounding area! Absolutely love it here and the staff is so welcoming and kind. The chef is amazing too!! Highly recommend. We are regulars here now :)

Michael L.

Yelp
Delicious and friendly. Highly recommended. At this point, Yelp requires that I get to 85 characters, so I'm writing a sentence.

Dan S.

Yelp
Best sushi in the area. Can't go wrong with anything here. Hot foods also looked tasty. Recommend to sit at the bar.
