Great setting - very clean and modern with a relaxing feel. The waitstaff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive - guiding us through an unforgettable meal. Our appetizers and entrees were exceptionally prepared, and it was enjoyable not to be rushed through such a delicious experience! Drinks and desserts absolutely completed an amazing dining experience. Thanks so much for hosting us - see you again soon!

Great experience yet again. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated immediately at a quaint table for two. Service was attentive and food and drinks were delicious. The butternut squash, ham, cream, and sage Gnocchi was amazing as was the Fettuccine with sausage. We often have different experiences from the first to second time visiting a restaurant, however that was not the case here.

Honestly, a little disappointed. Food was ok but not good enough for the prices. Our waitress was extremely judgy and slightly rude. Was like she couldn't wait to get rid of us. Nice restaurant and very clean which was great but that was the only plus.

Senti features delicious food in an elegant modern setting. The manager greets each table individually, the wait staff is informed and informing, and the food... It is really good! We came here last night for date night, and will be coming back again!

Dishes always exceed expectations. Service was a bit slow on this particular night but the quality of the food made up for it.

My husband and I have been coming to Senti for a couple of years now, and we are blown away every single time! The food, service, atmosphere are consistently beyond our expectations. How often can you find a restaurant that exceeds in all of these areas?! From the minute we walk in the door, we are greeted with a smile and treated like family. On our last visit, our server Sam provided such personal top notch service - thank you Sam! Each time we leave Senti, we are planning our next visit back! Hands down, it is our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh.

The veal pasta dish was so delicious! Duck was to my husband's liking especially the cabbage. Owner is always friendly and welcoming. Great service.. An enjoyable New Year'Eve dinner!

This was our first visit to Senti. We chose Senti after reading about the restaurant through our Marriott Bonvoy membership. Our son is a CIA-trained chef who has worked for celebrity chefs in the US and abroad, so we are spoiled and picky when it comes to dining out. My wife and I are also accomplished home cooks with Italian roots. We are always looking for that one really great Italian restaurant that is both elegant and reminds you of your nonna's kitchen when you taste the food. Senti hit that mark. We started with appetizers, a mixed greens salad and the mussels with spicy pork sausage, sweet peppers, fennel, white wine and accompanied with grilled Italian homestyle/crusty bread. The mussels were awesome, coming in a very large portion that could have been a meal in itself. Although the mixed greens salad presentation looked good on the surface and tasted very good with a nice dressing, the occasional encounter of a piece of soggy, water-spoiled leaves unfortunately left a bad first impression with us. We alerted the waiter and were not charged for the salad. We ordered a pasta entre, roasted squash ravioli served with brown butter sage sauce and diced granny smith apples... superb! We wanted to test the house red sauces, so we shared a side dish of polpette in marinara sauce: lovely, light and perfectly seasoned meat balls with a great hand-prepared sauce. I ordered the brasato di manzo: short ribs braised in red wine served with red pepper compote and creamy polenta made with parmesan stock and prosciutto... fork tender and wonderful. I also ordered a side dish of the house-made gnocchi, but with pomodoro, not ragu sauce. The smooth, simple sauce topped with fresh basil was exquisite. We each had a glass of wine, an Abruzzo chardonnay and a Barbera d'Asti, both reasonably priced with lovely bouquets and finish. To finish we shared the chocolate bread pudding with coffee creme anglaise. Wow! Senti exceeded our expectations. Bravo, Chef Scolari!

Yelp
The Bird and I had an incredible dining experience at Senti tonight, March 29, 2025. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Our server, Anna Belle, was warm, professional, and made us feel completely taken care of. To start, we shared the artichoke appetizer and meatballs--both were excellent. The artichoke was perfectly prepared and seasoned, and the meatballs were rich, flavorful, and just the right texture. For the main course, I had the pasta with vodka sauce, which was creamy, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Bird went with the special: ravioli in a light sausage sauce. The sausage added a subtle depth without overpowering the delicate pasta--an absolute standout. Bird finished with the chocolate bread pudding, which was decadent and comforting. I opted for the tiramisu martini--a fun, delicious twist on the classic dessert and a perfect way to end the evening. Senti delivered across the board with excellent food, a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, and truly stellar service. We'll definitely be back and soon!!

Yelp
Honestly, who can afford to eat out anymore? Well if you're gonna plunk down the dough you might as well make it someplace worthwhile. Some place you haven't tried before. So Marla (my best friend since childhood) were looking for something to do on a girl's night out. Niether of us had been to Senti before, so we thought we'd try it. I tried the "Brodetto di Pesce" Brodetto di Pesce, which is calamari, shrimps, clams, etc. The pasta is fresh and w-a-y above what you'd get someplace else. Marla went for the gigli pasta in a vodka sauce and said it was amazing. And of course one must top off one's dinner with tiramisu!

Yelp
Food was great! I ordered the gluten free pasta and it was so good. The service was great!

Yelp
Agnoloti was AMAZING! It was the type of tasty that you are grateful the price would keep you from ordering a whole second plate to go, but worth every penny. The apple tart lives in my mind rent free! I came as close to licking a plate as I have at any establishment. Service is top notch! I don't know how this place stayed off my radar for so long but it is my sworn Yelp duty to put it on yours!

Yelp
We tried to have dinner here about a month ago and were so sad to arrive to a sign saying they were away on vacation. So I was happy to finally get to try Senti the other night! The butternut squash and sage ravioli was phenomenal. The spaghetti with pomodoro sauce was also good, but the options for adding protein were limited. I believe they only had shrimp available. The bread was also really delicious. I would have liked a nice butter or sauce to go with it. They had a nice list of wine and cocktails to choose from. However, for such a nice space I was thrown that the drink menu came in an unassuming white binder and not something nicer. Service was okay but nothing special. It was busy but we waited quite a while to actually order our food.

Yelp
Fancy Italian restaurant in Lawrenceville good for dates or business dinners. We shared the artichoke hearts and aranchini for appetizers. Soup of the day was a delicious butternut squash. The branzini was a popular entree. Excellent service. Gender-segregated restrooms. Street parking.

Yelp
Went to Senti for our anniversary dinner earlier this week & we were not disappointed! I am very picky about going out for Italian, but Senti's upscale atmosphere & interesting food selections brought us in. We started the night with some cocktails; I had the Italian 75 (a French 75 but using limoncello) & Ben had the shattered brain (a velvety hazelnut-forward drink). For appetizers, we shared the octopus (cooked perfectly paired with a slightly spicy pepper sauce & crispy potatoes) & Caesar salad (the bites with anchovies were good, but they definitely needed more anchovies because the greens without them were incredibly bitter & needed something to cut through that flavor). For entrees I got the duck (my favorite protein! It was juicy with a crispy skin & served with a delicious mushroom/gnocchi mixture) & Ben got the ossobuco (incredibly tender & flavorful). For dessert, we shared a vanilla ice cream (definitely home made & super creamy) & a tiramisu martini (their specialty cocktail). Senti also has a pretty big wine list (especially if you like reds) & a wine bar up front. The only downside I can say is that the service is kind of slow. The pacing of the meal was perfect, but it would have been nice to get dirty dishes cleared so you weren't sitting surrounded by them between courses. Overall, though, I would recommend this spot to any Italian food fan! Food: A- Drinks: A- Service: B Ambiance: B

Yelp
After several visits over the past two years, I have to take Senti off of our list. Our last visit several months ago, we waited almost an hour after ordering to receive our appetizers, and then our entrees came out right on top of them. Last night the cocktails were terrible. Barely shaken, we had to add ice at the table to make them palatable. Cold bread and had to ask for oil or butter. And again our appetizers took 45 minutes and the octopus salad, for $24, was one lone rubbery tentacle approximately four inches long, plated with a scattering of about eight tiny supremes of blood orange and two teeny snips of fennel frond. I sawed at it and gamely got most of a bite off ( the part nearest the plate wouldn't cut) and ended up sending it back. My partner asked our very nice server if we could speak with the manager being that it was starting to be our second bad night there and HE NEVER CAME OVER for the rest of the time we were there. "Too busy" she said. We paid, tipped our server and left.

Yelp
Visited Senti on my last night in Pittsburgh and had a lovely meal. This place was a little fancier than I anticipated, but staff didn't bat an eye at our party in Jean jackets and track jumpsuits. We had an early 5pm dinner reservation, for later dining times I'd definitely kick it up a notch. Service was excellent and the highlight of the meal (thanks Julia!). We started with the cauliflower and leek soup of the day which was tasty but could have used a touch more salt for my palate. For my entree I ordered the Verdure e Fagioli, which was an escarole and white bean dish. I loved the escarole and white beans, but opted to get the sausage add-on, which was a mistake, the portion completely overwhelmed the dish. I ended up eating around most of the meat. My dining companions gave high marks to the lasagna and the ravioli. I tried the latter, and it was tasty and light. Overall an a-okay meal, with wonderful service. I'd come back in the future for the Verdure (w/o the meat), and to try the meatballs and a dessert.

Yelp
While I'm admittedly not a fan of Italian food, I can't knock Senti as a whole! The restaurant is more than willing to cater to dietary restrictions, offering vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The bruschetta is to die for and the servers are highly knowledgeable on the menu. The atmosphere is sophisticated, but welcoming. We were fine bringing in our backpacks after work. The small parking lot may have been my favourite part: right across the street and makes a usually hectic Lawrenceville parking situation a non-issue. Senti is the perfect place to bring out of town guests or visiting scholars.

Yelp
We went back to Senti for our anniversary. The squid ink pasta was very good, so we wanted to try it again. But it was not on their online menu, so I sent them an email to ask for it. The chef replied that he could make the squid ink pasta for us. It was still very good. The halibut, one of the specials, was also very tasty. Mellon of prosciutto e melon was too hard and not so sweet. but we will go back again when we celebrate something.

Yelp
We went for a birthday dinner! The waitress was wonderful and attentive, what u would expect from a fancier restaurant. I ordered the calamari dish and I love that it came with the tentacles, not a lot of places serve that with their Calamari so it was lovely! My friend got the charcuterie plate and it's what you expect, came with prosciutto. For the entree I got the lasagna and split it with my friend. I've never had fresh made pasta before and I don't think I can go back to store bought anymore! It was so soft and melt in your mouth! The meat sauce was flavorful. Although I wished it came with a salad. My friends gnocchi must have been great because she never finishes her plate and she did! It was an overall a great dinner and good drinks! Will definitely be back for the another pasta dish!

Yelp
We had fantastic service. Ordered arancini balls. Good flavor. They had a spicy sauce on top. Plenty to share for 4 people. My son had spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were very tender. Three of us ordered from the restuarant week menu. Insalata di Arugala had pistacios and shaved pecorino cheese. Loved the vinagairette dressing. Cacio e Peppe. Good pepper flavor. Tiramisu for dessert. This had a creamier filling compared to most places but I liked that better. My husband had the hot expresso poured over vanilla ice cream. This is his favorite dessert and one of the reasons we came back to Senti to eat. The only downside is parking in Lawrenceville. The lot across the street was full and we had a hard time finding a street parking spot.

Yelp
vibe: upscale but not intimidating (in a good way). a little dark inside, but enough light and quiet for easy conversations. waitress was very kind, and service was efficient. food: appetizers were good, and main courses were excellent - i had a very generously sized short rib, and my friends all loved their dishes (heard praise for their butternut squash dishes). drinks: autumn sweater was cozy on a cold day.

Yelp
Wow, I would give Senti 6 stars if I could! My boyfriend and I ate dinner at Senti for New Years Eve a few years ago, and had a great experience. I remember loving the seafood pasta (especially the fresh linguine) and the complimentary champagne for NYE. We were looking for somewhere special to take my mom for Mother's Day and were excited to see Senti was open Sunday evening. I made reservations for our family of 4 on the Opentable app. I was confused because Senti's website said they were closed on Sunday, but I called to confirm they would be open for Mother's Day dinner. The restaurant is upscale, but comfortable. We loved sitting in the window and looking out on Butler Street. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and seated us right away. There was a special limited menu for Mother's Day, but there were SO many great options. We started with the Collefrisio Montepulciano bottle and the burrata appetizer (burrata, leeks, pistachio, olive oil, Maldon salt). The fresh focaccia bread came with a garbanzo bean and herb spread that was so fresh! The burrata was a treat! Everything was so "springy" and fresh! For entrees my dad tried the Saltimbocca alla Romana since he loves veal! It consisted of a veal loin, prosciutto, sage, served with polenta fries, and broccoli rabe. My mom went with the lasagna alla Veneta (Veneto style lasagna, beef ragù, béchamel). The layers of pasta were so thin the whole lasagna literally melted in your mouth. It was very reminiscent of our meals in Italy. My brother picked the Carbonara which he raved about! He said it was absolutely the best carbonara pasta that he's had in Pittsburgh. For my dish I picked the agnolotti. The pasta tasted like little pockets of Spring time. It was so fresh and light! I do wish I would have gotten a glass of white wine to pair with it. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we all finished our plates! For dessert we shared tiramisu and the special strawberry tiramisu. It was a little different from traditional tiramisu and wasn't my favorite. Next time I would order the chocolate bread pudding dessert. We will definitely be back. Thanks Senti for a very special Mother's Day Dinner!

Mindy O.

Yelp
Awesome food and drinks. We had the lasagne, the carbonara, the salmon, the pasta vongole and some other things. Highly recommend the artichoke hearts and the arancini. Easy parking on the street. Waitstaff very personable.

Yelp
Senti is one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. I've eaten here a number of times and every time I go the food is excellent along with the service. It's a great romantic spot for dinner and wine! My go to is the Gnocchi they serve; it is fantastic. The bread they serve before hand is also great. It comes with a pesto like butter spread that is so delicious! Olive oil can also be requested if you'd prefer that with your bread.

Yelp
When people talk about Italian restaurants in Pittsburgh, a lot of people don't mention Senti, and I'm really not sure why! This restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the owner Franco took such good care of us! I started with their special soup of the night, a minestrone with steak in it. It was incredibly flavorful and was an awesome way to start the meal. We also had the arancini and fried cauliflower, both of which were delicious! You really can't go wrong with a Cacio e Pepe arancini, and I would definitely order it again! Then, I ordered a pasta dish with Orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe, which was absolutely delicious! The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sausage had an awesome flavor to it! To end the meal, we had an awesome slice of tiramisu. My dad is super picky about his tiramisu because he makes a good one, and this one got his stamp of approval! Definitely check out Senti if you are in the Pittsburgh area looking for authentic Italian food.

Yelp
First time eating here with a group of friends. We enjoyed everything, salad, salmon, halibut and desserts. Service excellent.

Yelp
I recently visited Senti for an event and was served a three-course tasting menu. For the appetizer, the Insalata Mixta was refreshing but pretty plain for a salad. The Lasagna alla Veneta was good, but it didn't stand out as anything particularly special. Lastly, the Tiramisu was good, I do have to say that there was a bit too much cream and not enough ladyfingers for my liking. Additionally, the coffee flavor was not as apparent as I would have liked. However, I really enjoyed the small bites & wine I got before the meal! The vibes of the restaurant were also great for conversations and I had a great time at the event!

Yelp
Mediocre Italian food with a high price tag Taste: 3, Atmosphere: 4, Service: 4, Value: 2 Restaurant has a fancy atmosphere with white table cloths. The service was great, fast and attentive (they even bought us another basket of focaccia with our dinner). The food on the other hand was quite a let down. The focaccia to start was not authentic - it was dry and buttery instead of olive oil and topped with salt and rosemary. It was also served with butter rather than olive oil. It had a nice crust, but otherwise more reminiscent of good white bread than focaccia. We ordered the lasagna and gnocchi. The lasagna had a good noodle texture that was not super mushy but also not hard. There wasn't very much ricotta, but the taste overall was good (however, the $19 price tag was way too much for what it was - just an average piece of lasagne). The gnocchi were small in size and were really soft without any chew or texture. The sauce was rather salty and full of whole fennel seeds which overall was bitter and not great tasting. The pork ragu was less of a ragu and more of chunks of Italian sausage which was a little weird. Overall, the Italian food is just average and not worth the high price tag. The focaccia and gnocchi were the most disappointing for an Italian restaurant as it was not authentic and left much to be desired.

Leslie M.

Yelp
Food was amazing, prices were very reasonable including the sangria and beer we enjoyed. If you're looking for authentic Italian, go. Their pasta is what I consider a very good carb.

Kris S.

Yelp
Wonderful experience! Very accommodating. Excellent cocktails and a great selection of delicious appetizers. The entrees were made from scratch and delicious. Highly recommend, and we will definitely return it!!!

Yelp
Good, service and ambiance are all amazing -- great chef and an overall wonderful experience for our family special occasion.

Yelp
Went for a birthday dinner with my friend and they were very accommodating to our celebration. We ordered the octopus special for an appetizer and it was a good sized portion and the flavors in the dish complimented each other very well. We shared the pork tenderloin entree and the Orecchiette pasta. Both were very flavorful and satisfying! The pork was sooo tender but just a little too salty for my taste. The pasta was aldente and the sauce was flavorful. Their desserts were okay. The restaurant itself feels very fancy and clean inside with a cute wine bar by the front.
google avatar

Auralia H.

Yelp
We like to come here to sit at the wine bar! We also love meatballs so, we usually get a glass of wine at the bar or lounge area and share the meatball appetizer before we go somewhere else in Lawrenceville. Looking at the menu, they have a lot of classic Italian dishes like spaghetti, lasagna, ravioli, etc and tiramisu for dessert. If you like wine with dinner, you can purchase by the glass or bottle and if not, they have a variety of cocktails and other spirits available.

Yelp
Honestly had such a great experience here. My appetizer (bruschetta) was amazing & my dinner (gnocchi) was also great. Had a lovely server as well and great selection of drinks.

Yelp
A 5 star review doesn't happen very often. My experience at Senti last night hit all the high notes from introduction to finale. The Lawrenceville restaurant is contemporary in decor and the art colorful and abstract. There are twelve tables in the main dining room and through a few more could have been squeezed in Senti, keeps the margin between tables comfortable for diners and wait staff. The group dining area opposite the bar entertained 2 large parties. A double sided banquette the length of the room is flanked by comfortable chairs and white linen tables. The ambiance of the room is calm with a minimal noise which is unusual in many restaurants. The cocktail/wine list offers selections from their Enomatic list. A welcome option to sample multiple wines before settling on the pour of choice. From 1 ounce to 5 ounces are your volume options. The beer selection is small, Moretti, Peroni, and an IPA. Welcome, and unusual are 2 non-alcohol cocktails. The My Kingdom for a Horse was refreshing and tart, made upon my request for a smaller amount of honey to be used. Senti's menu is not expansive but offers a nice range of options. Our party enjoyed the Fava bean soup which was vegan. Mussels, tender and excellent, served with grilled bread. Shorts Ribs, Pesto Gnocchi, Branzino served over tender baby carrots and perfect sautéd spinach, and Short ribs over polenta. Senti is a winner in the Pittsburgh dining scene with parking directly across the street from the restaurant is an added benefit. Reservations through Open Table, and a reminder email a few days ahead.

Yelp
Made reservations for Senti tonight and I have to say that I believe this restaurant is really under the radar. We had a great dining experience from start to finish. We were seated quickly and given water at the table. My spouse ordered the sangria and she loved it. We were also given fresh bread with a pesto spread which was very good as well. For an appetizer we tried the Arancini which was great. Each one was packed with a great risotto mix and the pepper cream sauce paired well with this dish. Our entree's were fresh and flavorful. She had the spaghetti and added meatballs for $9. You get six of them so it wasn't too bad. The fettuccine wasn't too heavy and had a good balance in each bite. The service was great and we had an excellent meal at Senti. I would definitely recommend giving them a try and we will be back to try some of their other dishes as well.

Yelp
Went to Senti with a friend for dinner and I was very impressed. The outdoor seating area, while small, was enjoyable quaint. The menu used some language uncommon to me, but I figured it out and ordered the gnocchi. It was INCREDIBLE. The bottle of wine we split was reasonably priced and the perfect addition to the evening! Would definitely go for another upscale evening.

Yelp
Tonight was our first venture out in da burgh after the year of COVID and it was wonderful. My wife and I got our vaccinations and so have our friends and neighbors so we decided to celebrate by going to Senti because they offered outside seating. The tables were sufficiently distant and heaters were spaced throughout. You needed a mask inside while walking around but not seated at tables inside or outside. Because we've eaten here before, we ordered takeout on a couple of occasions in the prior months but it's not the same as dining in. It was so refreshing to get back out, and when you do you don't want to be disappointed by your restaurant choice. That wasn't the case here. The staff was attentive and friendly and the service was first rate. The food was well presented, and delicious. Our table of 4 shared the Misto di Salumi - prosciutto di San Daniele DOP (aging 18omnth) Mortadella with Pistacchio (Ferrarini's, Bologna) Mozzarella di Bufala, focaccia crostini. I started with the Barbabietola beet salad (great choice) For my main I ordered the Pollo alla Cacciatora (chicken cacciatore) - chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, red wine, herbs, creamy polenta. It was delicious but my only critique is that the chicken portion size was pretty light. You just get a single drumstick and thigh. I would have liked to have seen more chicken but the polenta was filling enough. It did leave room for dessert and I went with the Tiramisu and an espresso. Very satisfying. Everyone else in our party also enjoyed their selections- see the photos. We will be back- hope to see you there. If you found my review helpful or informative please throw me a bone and vote for it or if you're really inspired shoot me a compliment.

Yelp
We went for Pittsburgh Restaurant Week. Started with cocktails - OK, but have had much better. I went for the cabbage and butter bean soup, which I thought sounded intriguing (cabbage, butter bean, ham stock?) but it was a mixed vegetable soup. OK. Husband had the bruschetta which he said was pretty boring and seemed to have come straight from the fridge. For main, I had the short rib, which I thought was tasty and a large serving. Husband had the malloreddus pasta and said it was nothing special. Tiramisu was the real disappointment. Pretty tasteless and sugary. Server was competent. Major complaints? No. Outstanding dishes? No. Go back? No.
google avatar

Kristy A.

Yelp
This place was amazing. We went for restaurant week and I'd definitely go back. I started with the brussels sprouts Caesar salad. This dish was one of the best I've had in a long time. I'd go back again and again for that. My entrée was the Cavatelli al Gorgonzola - another outstanding dish. We finished with the tiramisu and I also sampled the almond oil cake. Both were delicious. The portions were all reasonable as well. The service was also very good. Our server was friendly and prompt. She answered a ton of questions about the menu and gave good advice on what to order. Overall, a winner.

Yelp
Incredible pasta features, entrees that don't disappointment and starters for sharing. Get the meatballs. The full wine list has many notable wine makers at a good price. Noted: Joseph Jewell varietals and locally sourced importers of Italian Collefrisio wines. Save room for desert. Staple item for me is the Tiramisu, but always great options available. Covid policies in place, masks worn by staff and some with gloves. Customers must wear a mask while in the restaurant but not at your table once seated.

Yelp
2nd time I've been to this Italian restaurant and it again, passed all expectations. A gorgeous wine list with a smart waitress who was knowledgeable and understood what we wanted. Great recommendations. The pasta e Fagioli appetizer was EXCEPTIONAL. Dang it was so good I could have had another bowl for my entree. Asparagus pasta was light and fluffy - with delicate hint of lemon butter. Sage butter ravioli was the same way - so deftly prepared in a much lighter way - not heavy or dense and absolutely delicious! I only wish I could have had a bite of everything in the menu. And the lemoncello was yummy for dessert!

Yelp
I was surprised with a "happy last final" dinner here the other week. Boy, what a great place to celebrate something special. First off, when I entered the restaurant we were greeted by the host who made a big deal out of my graduation. That was awesome that they remembered why my partner reserved a table and that they said something so they could share in part of it. We got a table that faced Butler Street and really it was perfect. The snow was falling and those big Windows let us look out onto Lawrenceville with a beautiful layer of snow and the snowflakes coming down. It was the perfect scene for the celebration of my last final of grad school. I really could not have asked for a better place than that. The server that we had was fantastic. She let us take our time with the menu, she laughed with us over my accomplishments, and she gave us some great suggestions on food. Perfecto. Rucola Salad: We got a salad to share between the two of us. I was a little concerned at first that it wouldn't be enough but I had nothing to worry about. The salad was filling even when split between both of us. It had little pieces of fennel nice chunks of Parmesan cheese and a very light dressing on it. And I believe cranberries. Very good. Fritto Misto: Fried Seafood and Vegetables Served with a Horseradish Marinara Sauce and Horseradish Aioli. This appetizer was also delicious. The serving size was pretty good, but with a lot of fried food I'm sure that I could have eaten more. I liked it a lot more when we sprinkle the lemon over it. Both of the sauces were okay but neither one of them really were my favorite. But I really really loved this dish and I didn't need much sauce in order to be fantastic. Lasagna alla Veneta: Lasagna, Veneta Style, House-Made Pasta with Beef Ragu, Cheese and Bechamel Sauce. While this was not my dish, I did get a little bite of it. The bechamel sauce was delicious and something that I was not used to on lasagna. My partner loved it and he is a big lasagna eater. This one that he ordered had arugula baked in it. While he was apprehensive at first, he did state wow I like arugula. Not realizing that are salad had arugula in it also. He liked the spiciness of the lettuce. Osso Buco di Maiale: Braised Pork Shank Served with Roasted Sweet Potato, Multi-Colored Cauliflower, Mashed Potatoes and Gremolata. This was fantastic. The pork was fall off the bone and done to perfection. The cauliflower and mashed potatoes with the sauce on top yum. My sweet potatoes could have been cooked a little bit more but they were still really good. I had enough to eat for lunch the next day, that's how big this dish was. It was a perfect dinner dish tha was large enough for leftovers. Dessert: We opted out of dessert. Quite frankly all of that food was so filling I didn't think that we could stuff anymore in our bellies. But because it was a special occasion our waitress put one little scoop of honey ice cream in a dish with a candle. I loved that gesture. It is things like that that make me come back to restaurants the extra effort to make someone feel special. And that really did make me feel special. The ice cream was also delicious and I lick that bowl clean. I cannot wait to come here again.

Yelp
what a difference a day makes! after the last dinner, we weren't sure about going back, but the menu & wines coaxed us back! barsotti was doing the wines, & 2 of them were going to be primitivos. apparently we weren't the only 1's that complained. this time, the whole restaurant was open, & everyone got their own tables. & their own food! all i can say is-WHAT A MEAL! it was spectacular, the best 1 yet! bravo franco, chef & staff! everyone was on their a game. 1st course-insalata con granchio-jumbo lump crab, avocado, tomato, basil, red onion, chili oil. served with a 2021 alberto longo la fossette falanghina. this salad was the bomb! i could've eaten that for my dinner! huge pieces of crab! the wine was a white. if you know us, we're reddies! but this stuff, i could drink that during a long, hot summer day! smooth, crisp. 2nd course-cavatelli con ragu di agnello-cavatelli, lamb ragu, fesh mint. served with a 2019 fabiana kalema primitivo salento. the ragu was delicious. the cavatelli was made so nicely, i thought they were made by hand! the wine had a deep cherry, sort of musty taste. mmmm. 3rd course-filetto di manzo-filet mignon, red wine demi glace, multicolor carrots, duck fat confit potatoes. served with a 2019 rosa del golfo primtivo. the filets were perfectly rare. the demiglace was spot on. & confit potatoes! loved! the wine was even better than the 1 before! finally, 4th course, dessert! a flourless chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream, berries. served with a 2019 rosa del golfo negroamaro. both were the perfect finish to the meal! we really do love this place! follow them & come to a wine dinner sometime! i think you'll be satisfied!

Yelp
I want put my thoughts in one sentence at the beginning in case you don't want read the whole thing. It beat my expectation. I wanted to try this place when it first opened, but couldn't make it. Then it raised a question that I've never seen it full or even 1/3 full. My husband made a reservation for Valentine's Day because I was in the mood for Italian and this is the only place near by that we haven't try yet. When we arrive at 5:45, it was still pretty empty, we kinda of see that as a bad sign. Thinking to try it out but don't order too much. We got some mussel and meat balls as appetizer. Braised beef and squash ravioli as entry. I think the chef is very good at controlling cooking time and temperature. Mussel were cooked to prefect texture and The marinara sauce in the meatballs are very fresh. Both could use a little more seasoning but they are pretty tasty. Btw, the mussel portion is huge! I didn't try the braised beef but my husband thinks it was very well cooked as well. My squash ravioli was not as good as the appetizers. The taste was good but it was very greasy and the granny apple on top was too sour. I wouldn't order the ravioli again.

Yelp
I went to Senti a couple months ago to celebrate a friend's special occasion. I was in charge of selecting the restaurant and we knew we wanted Italian food and I was immediately drawn to Senti by the promise of handmade pasta. I personally didn't care for the atmosphere, it almost felt like a cafe in an art gallery, but my friend really liked that vibe and it was her special day so it worked out perfectly. I had done some research and saw previous photos of the lasagna and knew immediately that I would be ordering that dish without needing to look at the menu. It did not disappoint! They promised handmade lasagna and it definitely looked and tasted that way to me. The meat sauce was rich and flavorful, it had the perfect amount of bechamel and the pasta layers were delicate but able to hold the weight of the sauce. I also had a smooth and flavorful glass of wine which complimented the dish well.

Yelp
This restaurant is a great choice for special occasion dining. Beautiful ambience and they accept reservations and seem to do a very good job of appropriate scheduling. Lovely windows with lots of natural light. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I ordered salmon which was perfectly cooked, and my daughter ordered the spaghetti pomodoro which was simple and classic. The chocolate bread budding dessert was also amazing- great experience, did not disappoint! Given that fast food value meals today are coming in around $12-13, the pricing for this quality of the food was excellent. I feel the portion sizing was ideal as well- not overly huge but not so tiny that we felt we still had to eat again. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Always a pleasure to eat here and last night was no exception. The meatballs were tender and perfectly seasoned. The arancini were perfectly fried on the outside and soft and balanced with mushrooms and cheese. I had the mussels and beet salad with honey roasted onions and whipped goat cheese. (I could eat four more of these salads). My husband had the special- thick cut pork chop over garlic mashed potatoes and roasted broccolini. The best part was the service and recommendations from Sofia. Oh how could I forget the drinks! Remember bars?- perfectly mixed and a delight with the addition of basil. The aperitif - chamomile grappa We had room for dessert too - tiramisu and the seasonal apple tart with cinnamon ice cream. A perfect ending and just the right portion.

Yelp
Took my boyfriend here for his bday. This was a quaint little restaurant on the bougier side and I enjoyed that. Our server was very knowledgeable and helped us select everything from our cocktails to our desserts. My only complaint was the food was under seasoned a little on the bland side, I didn't taste that much garlic in any of my dishes and I'm big on flavorful Italian food! and a 14$ salad that had only arugula and a few slices of parm cheese tossed in a few drops of balsamic. For that price they could of done way better lol. The calamari was rubbery and the batter it was fried in was just not doing It for me. other than that it was a nice atmosphere and the food was edible!

Yelp
I was in town for a conference and my friends brought me here for dinner, because they come here very often. I started with the beet salad, which was really delicious and creative. And then I had their lasagna, which I was told was amazing and it really is. It's not heavy like some other restaurants and it's just the right size portion. I finished off with their seasonal tart, which was an apple tart tonight, and again, it was the right size, fresh and delicious. The owner is on-site and very friendly, and the service was really nice. My friends had the lamb chops, the steak and the special of the night which was Beef short ribs. For dessert they had the tiramisu, the profiterole's and the chocolate bread pudding. They all loved their dinner and desserts.

Yelp
This unfinished review is killing me. Yelp ate my first draft somewhere...back there.... Anywho, the long and short: -Get the soup of the day, skip the house salad. Your money is better spent on the SOTD -Ask the servers about wine! They have an exceptional knowledge of the wine! We got some fabulous pairing suggestions. (Even though we researched a bit beforehand.) -Get the Pappardelle with Wild Boar Ragù, Lasagna is a close second!!!! -Get the Tiramisu - always PS: Their fresh bread is delicious. Somewhere between focaccia and sourdough. I know we asked about it and our server was happy to divulge some bread info on it!

Yelp
Wonderful neighborhood Italian. Service is excellent and food is quite good. At my last visit I had the fried artichokes to start and my wife had the burrata. These were superb especially with a nice rosé. For the entree my wife had fettuccini with shrimp and porchetta and I had the pork chop. These were both well prepared and delicious. We finished with an almond cake with blueberry compote. This was a great way to finish a wonderful meal. All in all at least 4 stars and will definitely remain a top choice for us.

Yelp
My friends and I were visiting Pittsburgh and stumbled upon Senti after reading the reviews. We had a mixup with other dinner reservations and we were looking for a restaurant to accommodate the 6 person party. We walked into Senti and the hostess had a nervous but welcoming look on her face, the restaurant was booked. After she stepped away she returned and allowed us to sit in the bar area lounge and order dinner. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. I ordered the mushroom steak, it came with broccoli and sweet potatoes. Food was Super flavorful and the wait staff was very kind and accommodating. It was my favorite meal of the trip. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
We found this restaurant on a Pittsburgh food tour. So happy we did. Everything was exceptional from appetizer to dessert. The atmosphere elegant. We received phenomenal service at the bar. I would definitely better book in advance as they fill fast. It's our new favorite Italian restaurant!
