Named among The Arizona Republic’s 100 essential restaurants, this independent AYCE mainstay delivers abundant meats, refillable banchan, and late hours. It’s a go-to for big appetites and groups who want the full Phoenix KBBQ experience.

Google
Unique experience and food with a lot of flavor. My first time but I like it and would do it again. I was pleasantly surprised with the focus on protein and I like the idea of being able to cook my own meat to my liking and so I can experiment. The signs threatening to charge for unfinished food is a bit cheesy but I understand the desire to keep food costs down and avoid wasted food. This is a fun experience for groups of family and/or friends and the food is delicious. Just don’t eat all day before going and if you can bring someone who knows what they are doing on food selection and cooking. The restaurant was clean. The server could have been a little friendlier. The price was reasonable. I would go back here.

Our first time at this place was amazing! We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here and our server made sure we understood the process of AYCE which we went for. It was a bit pricey, but for all you can eat, you definitely get your moneys worth. My suggestion is that you order small portions first and get more after to avoid paying the $25 fee if you don’t finish your food. It was a fun experience grilling your own meat, and everything we ordered was delicious. Including the sushi which tasted so fresh. We will definitely be going back again!

We visited Seoul BBQ and Sushi in Phoenix because it was one of the few places open late at night. They offer an all-you-can-eat menu, but we chose to order à la carte instead. We had two sushi rolls and a beef rib soup. The soup came with a small bowl of rice, which was a nice touch, but unfortunately, the soup itself was very bland, and the beef ribs had very little meat on them. It was around $25 for the soup - not worth it in my opinion. We had to mix in some soy sauce just to get some flavor. A side note is that the normal soy sauce they provided doesn’t taste like normal sushi soy sauce so maybe op for the low sodium one which they do offer. They also serve a few Korean side dishes, and while they are refillable, the servers won’t voluntarily offer refills—you have to ask. Overall, it was convenient for a late-night option, but the food didn’t quite meet expectations.

Google
We hit this place up Saturday afternoon and eat until we dropped ! Do the "all you can eat" style and go ham, try everything! The bulgogi was good and one that stood out was the soy sauce pork ribs , and the sides were really good as well. Place was clean, service was nice and fast, food was delicious, can't ask for more !

Google
Wife to me here for the first time. She had raved about it for awhile now and we finally tried it out together.. I really enjoyed it. The food was good and the price for all-you-can eat was actually very reasonable. Ordered some bomb sushi rolls while I was there too. Would definitely recommend and probably going back I'm a couple weeks

Google
This place is great. There are plenty of options. I have been here three times, and the service as well as the food was great every time.

Google
Sushi was very fresh but it was not our kinda place. We were scared to get the all you can eat because if you left too much they charged you $25. We had never been before. 2 of us were eating sushi and wanted all you can eat but the entire table would've been charged an additional $7 per person. Ice-cream was delicious. Don't think we will be back.

Google
I finally found excellent Korean cold noodles (naengmyun, 냉면) in the Phoenix metro here at Seoul BBQ. I used to live in Korea and also Koreatown LA so my standard for naengmyun is high. Ever since I moved to Phoenix, I have been looking for a good naengmyun place but every Korean restaurant I tried in Mesa turned out to be such a disappointment. They all serve such amateur naengmyun that taste no better than a $3 frozen package from H-Mart. Naengmyun does take some special preparations so it can be a lot of work for the restaurant. Seoul BBQ knows how to make real naengmyun comparable to LA. My favorite is their mul naengmyun - its chilled beef broth was deep and it tastes familiar like the decent broth I had before at real naengmyun places. Bibim naengmyun was very good too although I would like it a touch less sweet personally. They also bring out mustard and vinegar, which is really a fundamental topping but you’d be amazed at how many restaurants don’t even offer that when they sell naengmyun. I am very glad I found my go-to naengmyun place here now because this will help me survive this hotass Phoenix summer which I am still getting used to.

Yelp
Went to try out their korean Bbq and it was amazing! Recommend it especially for a date! 10/10

Yelp
This place is just a fancier version of Manna BBQ and Gen BBQ put together. Meat quality is definitely below average compared to other restaurants. Service is average Hosts are rude Location is terrible given how its close to metro (ghetto) and literally next to the freeway.

Yelp
Took 2 family members from Korea here... I was hoping it had improved since my last bad review... it hasn't. We wont be back. It is overpriced, the food is NOT good or authentic.. and the portions small for what you are paying. I even asked if they could bring some korean spice or Korean hot sauce (not gochuchang) to make a soup spicier for one family member and they offered a Mexican hot sauce... I asked someone who spoke Korean and she said she'd ask the manager and chef and we never had anything come... usually a good establishment would have the chef or manager come over and talk to us. Considering we were a party of 8 and paid a lot of money for this mean... customer service and food quality and quantity are not worth it. I'm not sure how it still had the high ratings it does.

Yelp
Came back again to try their Jjampong while my hubby stuck with the Korean BBQ. We also added a seafood pancake and tofu stew, definitely more than enough for just the two of us! Everything was delicious and so satisfying. Our server was super friendly too, wish I remembered his name!
google avatar

Yelp
Okay, I'm gonna keep it real. The quality of the meat itself was mid-level, but the drinks were pretty good. Our server was pretty sweet and checked in with us often, which was nice. The private room was pretty nice and hidden from everyone else, which resulted in my friends and me having a blast since we weren't near anyone. I would come with a smaller group so you don't incur additional charges. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Yelp
Came in last Friday with my kiddos, they love Korean BBQ. We decided to try Seoul since our regular place Gen Korean BBQ House has gone down hill. Seoul was clean, service was good. The only thing I didn't really like is their very limited meat selection for the price. If you want more meat options you pay more. I guess I'm used to more seletions at other places. Either way the selections they had were good. I really don't like that some appetizers are under the premium price when it's included at other places. We will come back to try the sushi.

Yelp
I will say their side dish and meats is a lil lacking. I enjoyed the soup and kimich. We mostly just ordered pork belly and ordered some lettuce and enjoyed it that way. This is not my option but me and my friends had a good time because I got worried of the previous reviews of food poisoning or sickness.

J P.

Yelp
This place was terrible. The quality of the meat was bad and extremely fatty. If you don't eat all of your food they want to charge you a $25.99 fee. Explained if you have fatty meat or bad meat you can't force a customer to eat it. Just bad quality food and even worse management.
google avatar

Tia M.

Yelp
First time we ordered the plain pork belly and it had no flavor, we like to make lettuce wraps, most places will at least salt and pepper it, ordered it again with spicy and they did not mention on the menu that when you order the spicy apparently they marinate the pork in some sort of sweet marinade my husband does not like sweet pork, I called and asked why is it sweet and she acted like I was supposed to know since we ordered spicy that the pork is sweetly marinated? So then I asked well in the description on the menu it only list spicey, only after pausing for an awkward minute she said sorry and that was definitely not genuine. charged 3.50 for some sesame oil after spending close to 60 bucks we will never go back to this place again! Also bug on lettuce leaf I have already eaten a couple of these and gross just gross

Yelp
All you can eat meat??? Yes please!!!!! Took my best friend here for her birthday and oh my goodness!! We were in hog heaven! You first choose what all you can eat menu: A with a few appetizers and meats or B all appetizers and meats on the menu. Then you can add sushi for an additional price. They do have a rule that the table must order the same either A with or without sushi or B with or without sushi. They do have an à la cart menu. But that's for another time! We went slow and slowly ordered our food as any left overs you cannot take home and they will charge you $25 for any unfinished food. I like this rule as it prevents food waste of their high quality meats. The only exception to this rule are the automatic side dishes that you get, potato kimchi, regular kimchi, fish cake, acorn, jelly, eggplant, cucumber, spicy peppers, and spicy peanuts. We got white rice, gyoza, and bibim bap as appetizers. Then for our main meats we got marinated steak, spicy bulgogi, chicken, shrimp, pork belly. I very much enjoyed cooking my own food and the restaurant was very clean and a chill vibe. There were two downsides. The first was that they leave shell on the shrimp and they do not clean the vein of the shrimp... the second was our waitress wasn't very friendly and I felt like we were inconveniencing her, and then towards the end of our meal she left us alone for about 20 mins as we were trying to get our check.

Yelp
The place was not busy on a Saturday night about 8 pm. We didn't need to make reservations. It is a pretty large place though. The service was supremely slow and the place being less crowded we expected it to be better. Our server forgot our drink order. We reminded him twice. He forgot our dipping sauces when half way through the meal I requested it then he brought them over. In terms of food. It was a hit and miss. We like the thinly sliced beef and bulgogi. The spare ribs were ok. We didn't enjoy the two pork items at all. We are likely to try some other places in town before a revisit.

Yelp
Unfortunately this place made me and my boyfriend sick. My poor boyfriend got it worse because he was in the bathroom for a while as soon as we got home. I took some pepto pills right after. Everything was going great till the last two sushi rolls (rainbow roll & monster shrimp roll) tasted like old fish and rice. I thought I was gonna throw up. They do charge $25 a person if you leave a large amount of food left over. Never heard of that drastic amount like that. Pretty expensive if you get both unlimited meat and sushi.
google avatar

Gina T.

Yelp
Service was mixed. Our server was very nice, but we also waited a long time for anyone to acknowledge us (even after ringing the bell), while the table next to us came in 10 minutes later and was served immediately. The food was below average in our case. Mostly, I was disappointed paying $35 for spicy pork bulgogi that was burnt. It smelled strongly of burning the minute they placed it on the table and the bottom was all black. The sundubu jjigae was full of good ingredients but bland. The tangsuyuk was decent. That's the only one I would maybe order again. For banchan, I didn't like the kimchi but enjoyed most of the rest. The ambiance is good. It's nice that they offer a few different ayce options.
google avatar

Paola M.

Yelp
One of my favorite Korean bbq places , you can make your own food or just have them cook it either or the food is really good and haven't had a bad experience, the service has always been fast and easy and the ambiance is not too loud but just right .

Cindy H.

Yelp
Extremely horrible food and service. The manager doesn't care about customer satisfaction or their experience. She said it's ok if no customer ever come to eat there. My bad experience is not her problem but mine. This place deserves no customer at all. Their operating principle isn't good at all.

Marina X.

Yelp
Service was ok.. Wish there was shrimp on the ayce menu. We came in on a weekend, told us no sushi that day :(
google avatar

Yelp
Chose this place because it was a walking distance from the hotel. Excellent choice! The inside looks much bigger and nicer compared to looking in from the outside lol The food was wonderful. Great meet, and very easy. I also loved the drink selections, and the dessert. The service was great too!

Yelp
Came from out of town and wanted to try some kbbq! Read some reviews and this was one of the best! We made a reservation and were seated really fast. The waiter was very helpful and fast. He moved really quick and got us everything we needed. He actually went above and beyond, coming in and out continuously to make sure our needs were met, so that was a huge plus! Food was pretty standard. I'm use to Houston KBBQ and this was pretty okay. My favorite thing was the pork jowl and LA galbi. If you're in the area or looking for some decent kbbq, idk definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Shasha N.

Yelp
The food is decent. I enjoyed the barbecue ribs, though they were slightly dry for my taste. Given the price, I feel this place could offer a better experience. Overall, it's an average dining option.

Rachel Y.

Yelp
I was excited to find a Korean place near me that serves jajangmyeon and naengmyeon. The portion sizes are laughable for a $17 entre. I didn't get a pic of the cold noodles broth served but it came in a 12oz deli cup which was barely enough to cover the noodles served. Looks like I'll have to stick to cooking at home and making the drive to Hmart for Korean food cravings
google avatar

Jesse K.

Yelp
What a surprise. It is quite difficult to find a good Korean restaurant in anywhere when I'm Korean because I become extra critical. I had AYCE today. When you do ayce, you have to lower your expectation on the quality of meat. But I was very impressed. The side dishes were excellent. (Kimchi was a bit overly fermented but that was okay). Meat quality wasn't bad at all. It was quite pricey considering that meats you can eat in AYCE are mostly pork rather than beef. Service was little slow than I expected. I loved that they have a 'bell' to ask for service but the server is quite slow even though it was a slow day I sat near the entrance so it was a bit casual and cold, but inside has better ambiance and slightly warmer as well. I accidentally found this place but I loved it

Yelp
Food is epic. Great meat and sushi! Tons of sides they give you and generous portions! Love their ceviche cook at your table ambience for a fun night out! Great date place! Service outstanding! Two thumbs up.

Yelp
We came when just a little after they opened! We walked in and waited a bit before we got greeted. Then we got seated at our table. It wasn't too long after we ordered did we get our meats. Fantastic flavor and aroma after cooking the meat. The resturant was clean, the server changed the plate as soon as she noticed it was getting dirty. I'll be back :)

Donn ..

Yelp
We were in town in business and I finally convinced my narrow minded buddy to try Korean barbecue with me. He was very wary but as I ordered our meat and cooked, he began to loosen up and enjoy his food. We walked in around five and were almost the first customers. The staff was not very attentive considering it was relatively empty. You order on a laminated menu by checking the things you'd like with a dry erase marker. All three times I submitted the order sheet, it came back not wiped clean, and they never brought everything we asked for... Still, it was a decent meal and I was thinking I would be able to get my buddy back to some real Korean food back home. Both of us had raging, violent, diarrhea in the hotel within a few hours. No thanks. Stay away unless you like sneezing out of your butt.

Yelp
I have been to several different Korean BBQ across the valley. Food and sides were great. Our server was not as engaged as the table next to us. Food was a 5, our service was a 4.
google avatar

Berj D.

Yelp
This place is amazing, we were a large group where we had a private room. Our server was amazing and attentive and the food we ordered was continually coming in and we never felt we were running out of food. I am not familiar with Korean BBQ but our server was able to explain all options and what and how things are done. Definitely coming back to this place.

Jordan B.

Yelp
Food quality for all you can eat has gone downhill since menu change meats are very skimpy. I have gone to other korean bbq where price is cheaper and meat quality is better.
google avatar

Nette B.

Yelp
Stopped by while on a work trip to Phoenix. I wanted Korean food and I didn't wanted a new restaurant I've never tried. The ban chan was ok. I guess im spoiled with some other spots ive dined at. I ordered the Kimchi Jjigae. The flavors were yummy and spicy with big pieces of pork. I should've added extra pork. The restaurant also offers AYCE but, see my photo if you waste food. Great spot and I'll return again.

Yelp
Seoul BBQ & Sushi Korean BBQ on the west side of Phx. Located off of I-17 next to Pappadeaux Limited selection of meats which, were fine with us. I prefer the marinated meats like Bulgogi or Kalbi . My kids like the brisket which are normally a thin rolled up tasteless meat which totally needs to be used with the oils and sauces. Cook your own meats, veggies and seafood, try to separate tongs with raw meat and cooked meats. One thing they didn't have was the steamed egg which we were disappointed. The service was good, quick in taking our order and bringing it out. Portions seemed to be on the smaller side with the size of the bowls and plates the food came out in.

M G.

Yelp
Tried this place for dinner. I got the standard AYCE vs the upgraded. Most of the ban chan was really tasty. Also had a draft Kirin that went down well. I ordered Spicy bulgogi, thin sliced brisket and short rib, and soy sauce pork rib. Word of advice, the portions are huge. I would have liked to try more items but I was stuffed after finishing my original 4 meats. The pork was good but my least favorite. I would have been okay with a half sized portion of it.

Dazia S.

Yelp
Food was great. Fast service. I love the Ambiance and the music is a vibe. I got the spicy ribeye bento box, so delicious ; it's a large portion &, I liked the mashed potato and the kimchi cucumber they served before your meal. 10/10 will be back!! thank you Seoul for a great dinner after a long day.
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
Apparently they do not have the AYCE sushi option on Wednesdays. We sat down for a brief sec. and was able to see the quality of the meats from the other diners and figured that at $40/person, sushi should have been included. I would not come here first before exploring other AYCE KBBQ at a much lower price. We ended up leaving and dining somewhere else.

Yelp
The food here is so bomb ! The place is hidden but the food and meat quiality is so rich and good ! I've been here 3 times and I plan on coming back ! I live the kimchi stew ! It's The right amount of spicy and super filled with kimchi and the tofu makes it better ! The lychee martini was very strong but it was still good ! Service was good but I wish they had their sushi rolls options opened when we went . Ambiance it's nice and not loud . Tables nicely apart from other parties and nice background music
google avatar

R. Logan S.

Yelp
Not worth it. The quality of the meat is very low compared to the price. The side dishes aren't that tasty either.

David L.

Yelp
Food and service was good. Lots of food selections. Went to retaurant for family get-together. Thumbs up!
google avatar

Preeti B.

Yelp
I loved trying this new cuisine at Seoul BBQ and sushi .As it was my first time trying this I was not aware of how the food will be and how to relish the delicacies but they served us very well and I loved going on date with my soul mate from India at Seoul BBQ and sushi .I will definitely go here and have the food here .
google avatar

Poasa M.

Yelp
The owner change and now no more military discount. Don't think we'll be still going there but the Bulgogi in the last two visits there was so dry. This was one of our favorite
google avatar

Eli J.

Yelp
I was in Phoenix area on business and ate here 2x. All you can eat Korean bbq! The wait time was short Each meal was awesome. The service was great both times. The food quality was good. The bulgogi is really good. It's not cheap but if your hungry we'll worth it.
google avatar

Candace B.

Yelp
Went there for our anniversary dinner for the first time and it was good. I like the fact you can get all you can eat sushi along with the bbq option. My only complaint is that no ginger or wasabi was included with the sushi. I seen wasabi on the menu for +$3 but didn't know if it was special. That would be on me though for not asking. The metal grill plate was changed out in perfect timing to make sure we didn't smoke up the whole place. The atmosphere is chill and it was a nice experience. There are nicer Korean bbq places if you want to drive all the way to Tempe or Chandler, but for this area and the options, this place is spot on. I'd recommend it and will be back myself.
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
Scoped out this spot as I'll be moving in the area in a couple of months. Was surprised to see a Korean restaurant in the vicinity and had to try them out. Was feening for some bibim nengmyun as it's been awhile and damn was it good. The gochujang sauce was on point and...

Yong L.

Yelp
This used to be one of my favorite Korean AYCE BBQ spots in Phoenix, thanks to their great meat selections and fantastic side dishes (banchan). However, recently, this place has gone downhill. Look, I get it - prices have to go up because of inflation. No one's complaining about that. But what you can't do is raise prices while lowering the quality of the food. That's just unreasonable. The service here is atrocious. I'm not talking about the servers - some are better than others, and as long as they bring your food, it's fine. I'm talking about what seems to be the owner's daughter who manages the place. I usually don't like to call out individuals or base a restaurant review on service, as I believe Yelp reviews should focus on the food. But her rudeness and unpleasant attitude are driving loyal customers away. If I were the owner, I'd manage my own daughter better because she's a major problem. The only reason this place is still open is that it's the only Korean BBQ spot in the area. Once Manna BBQ or Gen BBQ opens one nearby, this place will shut down in a couple of months unless they improve the overall customer experience and get rid of their daughter from managing the place. Save yourself the trouble and drive a few more miles to try other locations before committing to this one.

Violet I.

Yelp
I am highly disappointed during this visit. I haven't been here in over a year and apparently they have a new owner. We got the dinner AYCE. SERVICE: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Service was horrible from the get go. Our server didn't introduce herself, didn't greet us, just handed us our menus. She constantly forgot things. We got our food before we got utensils. I had to ask 3 times before she gave them and then she puts it on top of the menu as if that's hygienic. She also told us we had an hour and 30 minutes to eat, which was false. Our server had red/orange curly hair. FOOD: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Food is subpar. Limit of 2 LA galbi per person... How is it AYCE if we can't order an unlimited amount of the meat we want??? We found a HAIR in our food and nothing was done about it. We addressed the situation with our server, but she replies with "do you want another one" like no, we don't, that's disgusting. We don't even get an apology or anything. We were halfway done with the first round, but she told us we couldn't order till we finished the food because of the $25 charge for unfinished food. It's not our first rodeo, we know how it goes. We then ask the hostess if this is a new rule they implemented, she said no. She just doesn't recommend it. This ruined our desire to continue eating because our server made it seem like it was something we had to follow. It's like they're trying to make us full by we're waiting for more food. This is NOT AYCE when it isn't a constant with food. PRICE: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Prices have increased tremendously... about $38 per person and with bad customer service? No, I'm NOT recommending this place. We went on a Saturday night, so it was noisy. We're NEVER coming back to this establishment again.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
We got the $30 for meat AYCE dinner pricing. The other options are $35 for meat+rolls or sushi+rolls, and $40 for meat+sushi+rolls. Low ratings bc... - we also got a nigiri combo that was not worth it at all given the overloading of rice : thin fish slices. I can imagine we'd get full from rice if we got the max AYCE option... - the chadol beef brisket slices smell quite meaty before they're cooked, usually indicating they're older - $2 extra for the Korean appetizers that you would normally get included at AYCE KBBQ places - $3 extra for "lettuce wraps" - side dishes are "unlimited" but the rate of service is the limiting factor - initially had 3 utensil sets for 5 people, took multiple requests to get two more - seemed like Saturday dinner at 5pm was understaffed- only one person delivering meats and other dishes for the 5-10 tables around us Sorry, wouldn't come back. If y'all have other recommendations for AYCE KBBQ, msg me, would love to try!

Yelp
Every time I come here, they act as if they've never served people before. They're just very cold and distant... never engaging nor making the experience what is meant to be. The food is just okay, and the atmosphere is not welcoming or festive. I really don't have anything helpful to say about this place and I will most likely not come here again.

Yelp
We happened to be in Phoenix and weren't sure where to grab dinner, but an AYCE place with Korean BBQ AND sushi? We're there. Seoul BBQ & Sushi is a good-sized establishment off the highway, and boasts having its original location in Connecticut before expanding to Colorado and now Arizona. We came fairly early in the evening (around 5:45/6PM) and were seated immediately. They do have a typical dinner menu in addition to their AYCE offerings, and it sounded like their seating was based on which menu you were ordering off of. The price is a little expensive ($43 for both BBQ and sushi AYCE), but my husband and I agreed that the quality and amount was worth the price. Their AYCE menu was pleasantly comprehensive - aside from the normal banchan, the menu does offer a full selection of appetizers, marinated and un-marinated meats, and a healthy selection of sushi rolls. It doesn't seem to be a "trendy" place with its meats (of which I see a lot in California) which I appreciated - the meat is fairly simple, good quality, and did have some things that I hadn't seen before (like my favorite cut, thinly sliced pork belly, and also baby octopus!) The sushi rolls are generously sized and maybe not the most authentic, but still delicious nonetheless. The service was also impeccable! We had a really good experience with our waitress, and food always came out promptly and we were checked on often for drinks. The place started filling up about an hour or so after we came, so it seems like a popular place to come for a later dinner. Overall, this was probably one of the better AYCE experiences I've had, and wish that we had something similar closer to home. We left very pleasantly full and happy. Definitely recommend giving it a shot!

Yelp
Used to come here for company lunch and I always loved their BBQ, I believe this place has the best meat quality of all current KBBQ restaurant in AZ. I've tried some more regular Korean cuisine and it was delish! And enjoyed the fact that they have a cold noodle w/meat meal in the menu. Highly recommend this place for Korean food!

Yelp
This place is spacious and spotless. We went there for a late lunch and ordered "All you can eat" combo. There are 3 options for "All you can eat": All rolls($30.95/person), All meat($37.95/person), meat/rolls($43.95/person). There is a 2-hour dining limit and children under 6 are free. We chose "All meat" and have seaweed salad, tofu seafood stew, Kimchi pork stew, Jalapeno Bomber and Bibim Bap(sizzling stone bowl) as our appetizer. Seaweed salad is very small with sweetness taste. Tofu seafood stew is our favorite and we ordered it twice. Fresh seafood(mussels, shrimp, octopus) with soft tofu, perfectly matches the savory flavor of the stew. Kimchi pork stew is not our type and it's too sour for my taste. Not recommend. Bibim Bap is mouthwatering! It has white rice steamed with sesame oil, with sliced carrot and mushroom on top -- healthy and delicious! Jalapeno Bomber is incredibly delicious and tiny, lol. It has 2 small sliced spicy tuna fried with creamy cheese and Jalapeno -- it's spicy! As for the "Meat" part, we highly recommend Sliced Marinated Rib eye and Pork Belly. Besides, for each table, they provide many side dishes like kimchi and sauces. In general, a good place to hang out with family and friends!
