Where to Eat Korean Food in Denver | Eater Denver

"Though best-known for barbecue, this sprawling, bustling longtimer does a bang-up job of seafood too, from the simplest broiled or braised fish — hairtail, mackerel, cod — to plump snails doused in spicy-sweet chile sauce. That it happens to deliver mega-banchan for the buck is just a bonus." - Ruth Tobias

Google
It’s very expensive, but boy is it a great experience! We had a blast. And we were in awe of all the options !! Maybe we’ll return with a big enough group and appetite to justify about $50/person. Everything was well organized and fun! Would recommend the lamb, duck, and prime cut. Also the tendon, but perhaps ask them not to cut it into such small pieces—they just dissolve and aren’t findable haha Ohh and the rice punch!! WOWZA yum.

Google
We love this place for Korean BBQ. The service is always so kind and the food is delicious. We have a number of Koreans and local Colorado people in the family and everybody loves the experience. Portions are very generous and the prices are quite reasonable. They are also very helpful if you do not know how to eat Korean BBQ or have questions about what to order or how to order.

Olivia W.

Google
Truly one of the best meals I have had in my entire life. The staff were so kind and enthusiastic. I went for the Korean BBQ and all of the meat was superb. The marinades were so flavorful and the banchan was immaculate. I would specifically recommend the chicken as it was the most tender I’ve ever had. While the prices can be a bit high, it is absolutely worth your money. So much food is provided that even if you eat till you are stuffed (which we did), you will still go home with so many leftovers. Couldn’t recommend this establishment enough.

Joe Q.

Google
me and my family have been going here forever and we love the hot pot selections! Good vegetable options, love the crab rangoons and the rice punch! They always have free little ice creams after dinner that can be different flavors depending on the week. They get busy depending on the day but well worth the wait!

Hannah L.

Google
The meal exceeded my expectations—it was just as good as some of the best Korean BBQ spots. The taste and service were well worth the price, no complaints at all. I’d definitely come back again!

Google
We came here on Christmas Eve and even though the place was packed, the service was honestly outstanding. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and never made us feel rushed or overlooked despite how busy it was. Everyone kept a great attitude and made the experience feel special. The food was delicious as always, but what really stood out was the hospitality. You could tell they genuinely cared about their guests. Huge appreciation to the team for making our Christmas Eve dinner such a great one — we’ll definitely be back.

Google
My first visit. We were greeted warming and seated. The order taker was nice. Did not engage in any conversation, explain process, or dishes. Was not a server. Place is very clean. Good experience. Great portions. Good quality. Be prepared to pay more than you would for a typical “American” dinner out.

Francesca Vargas S.

Google
Amazing food. And incredible staff specially our server Gunsook Yoo. She definitely made our night more special. We felt very well taken care of. She was very attentive and made sure that we were enjoying the food and helped us so much with the right cooking time! We will definitely come back. I highly recommend this place for authentic Korean bbq!

Ty S.

Yelp
Awesome service and food, we loved the restaurant and the environment for family and fun.

Yelp
(Korean BBQ only!) The quality in their food and service is top notch. It is not AYCE but they have a few combos you can choose from if you are feeling like you would to try their apps and drinks on top of the delicious meat. Our favorites has to be their short ribs and bulgogi. It was very well-marinated and the portions sizes were great. 4 meats is definitely way more than we needed to be full (2 of us) It is one of the ONLY places in Colorado that serve rice paper with KBBQ and to me, that is a game changer!
google avatar

Jenn C.

Yelp
Food The BBQ is not AYCE, but the meat was really high quality. They have tons of veg options from the appetizers Service Great service, they were able to handle our large and talkative group so well. We never went without a drink or any of the refills that we needed. They started all of the meat off and were good about changing the grill when we needed them to. Ambiance Have only been here with large groups so can speak to the private rooms. Love that they have accordion walls to split up larger parties so you have your own intimate space and can chat.

Yelp
What a dining experience!!! I love Korean BBQ but this place goes beyond. The food was amazing and the sides were plentiful and delicious with a huge variety. Our server was amazing!!! She was so helpful, friendly and patient. The vibe of the location seemed authentic Korean. I enjoyed seeing the art work. This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a Korean meal.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my boyfriend and I's go-to spot for hot pot! Service is always consistently friendly and prompt! I love the spicy miso soup and tom yum. The veggies are always fresh when we come to eat on weekends. They always replenish the meats which always taste delicious. I love that this place is super clean with spacious seating. The best part is the complimentary ice cream at the end!
google avatar

Whitney W.

Yelp
Very nice service, and good was excellent. Minus one star for the buffet vibe and price. Appreciated the ice cream at the end of the meal. Service is fast!
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Great place for KBBQ with a slightly elevated price tag. The service itself is top notch from the waitstaff and we enjoyed the hospitality. All the menu offerings and side dishes are what you would find at any KBBQ place. The big difference though is they cook the food in front of you and cut up the meat. I thought that was pretty good. Good place to entertain friends, hang out and just eat!
google avatar

Kinga B.

Yelp
Great spot ! I love their buffet style station for all the veggies and additions. Great price for all you can eat Korean bbq. Fantastic service . Casual ambiance. 4 stars because I've had higher quality food before. I would return though.
google avatar

Meya B.

Yelp
Highly recommend this spot! Classic look inside and good amount of spots. The service was also great just a little slow. I loved how many options they had from the veggies to the seafood selection. It was such a good price for everything that's included. I got to try so many different things which was great. I feel like you're getting your moneys worth just by their selection alone. If you like hot pot you should check this spot out.

Cinda C.

Yelp
This place has great korean style hot pot. The service is outstanding and the selection is top notch. My only complaint is that they don't have the basic sesame dipping sauce or ponzu sauce.
google avatar

Lauren T.

Yelp
It's taken a VERY long time to sit down to write this review because it was a very hard trip for our family out to Colorado to lay my father to rest, but I'm circling back because it really was worth raving about. My dad was stationed in Seoul for two years of his Army career, where he served at the 121st Evacuation Hospital. From a young age, he introduced us to Korean food, and we have many fond memories of him enjoying ojingo bokkum, japchae, kimchee, and other meals throughout or lives. Of the many Korean restaurants we've eaten at, this one was certainly amongst the top. The banchan selection was top tier. The ojingo bokkum was out of this world. If I find myself back in Colorado, I will certainly plan to return!

Yelp
What an institution. Looking at reviews from 10+ years ago, I can't believe it's taken so long for me to make it to Seoul KBBQ in Aurora. Ordering food was a nightmare because I had to explain to the waitress (whose English was limited) that was only wanted a 3-person KBBQ setup, and the others in our party would order Bibimbamp. Once that confusion was cleared, I was blown away by the food. LOVED the brisket and other meats we got, as well as the impressive banchan variety. Kimchi pancake and Tteokbokki were amazing too. A little pricey, but I would order all of this again. Only thing is, I wish they had more soju flavors, but plain really brought me back to Korea.
google avatar

Joanne T.

Yelp
Great food and service! We made reservations for kbbq for a party of 6 (and a toddler) and they gave us a private room. We ordered the combo C (5 meats), which was a great value and the perfect amount of food. I enjoyed the large variety of banchan included. The soup and salad were tasty. The veggie pancake was cooked perfectly. The meats were high quality. The bulgogi was on the sweet side, which half our party liked and half didn't. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yanjing M.

Yelp
The front host is so rude, there is so many empty seats in side, and our 5 people reservation is 11:30, she let's my grandma to sit in the entry bench for 30 minutes saying you have to wait for all your party to come in. The birthday spin is 1 day before or after and all the prize is so small, but the front host said she can't do because it is not within 24 hours of the birthday. Really disappointed my grandma. And we waited her for 10 minutes, no one was there, very unreasonable and rube altitudes, will not come back again unless they change the host. The food and servers are good however the front host ruined the experience.
google avatar

Caitlin Y.

Yelp
The food was amazing as usual. Staff was welcoming and walked us through their combos. It was very clean and not that loud inside. Some KBBQ places can get so loud, but this one was large enough of a restaurant. We will be back!
google avatar

Thien L.

Yelp
Seoul has Korean bbq and hot pot and I love both! We just went to the hot pot side this past Saturday and everything was so good! I got the tom yum broth and it was super flavorful and tangy. The meat quality is really good and they have so many vegetable options. It was the perfect spot to meet up with friends and grab a couple of drinks. The servers here are always so kind and attentive too! 10/10 would recommend.
google avatar

Corinne H.

Yelp
We always have a fantastic meal when we come! We usually have 4 people and get the 3 meat combo and that is way more than enough for everyone and then some to take home. I especially love coming with my favorite older Korean friends because they come ALL the time and the staff knows them and I feel like we get special extras for the table. Everything is fantastic, I really love the kimchi pancakes and all the banchan. The staff is always wonderful and accommodating and the restaurant is very clean. Definitely a great place for KBBQ
google avatar

Miki G.

Yelp
I was recently visiting from Hawaii, we have a lot of great Korean restaurants in Honolulu, but I think this one is very good! I've been to Seoul, Korea several times and the banchans here taste just like in Korea. The meats are fresh and flavorful, and the salads that are included are delicious. The service is always friendly, and they are always busy. It's also a great place for large parties as there are separate private dining rooms.
google avatar

Shruti J.

Yelp
Excellent selection of meats and good service. Sides were very flavorful especially the green salad ( I don't know what it's called but was very refreshing). We got the pork belly and spicy beef bulgogi to grill on the table and the spicy bulgogi was our favorite. The meat quality is very rich and we really enjoyed our meal. We also got the fried rice which was perfect!

April C.

Yelp
This place is always so amazing! I have tried 3 other hot pot restaurants and none come close to this one. They have so much variety of vegetables, noodles, and sauces. Even with it being a buffet style hot pot the workers are always attentive and so nice I wish I knew their names so they could get the credit. If I had the power to take this place with me to where I'm moving I would! But I will be back if I visit to sure!!
google avatar

Hiley H.

Yelp
Just came back from Korea a few months ago and have been missing the food so my friend brought me here! We arrived around 1:30 so we got the lunch special: your choice of 1 broth flavor and 2 meat choices at a time (per person). I went with the Spicy Miso base and 차돌박이 + 목살 for meat. The ingredients, sauces, sides, rice, and water are all self serve. The staff was super happy that I could speak Korean and we had a great conversation. The kimchi was delicious so I asked her if they make it themselves and she said they do!!! Overall a super fun experience and I'm excited to go back again and try the BBQ side!
google avatar

Gloria M.

Yelp
This is the place to go when you are craving hot pot! Their selections are enormous. They have appetizers where you can help yourself to! The service is quick and the food is phenomenal! The place is clean as well!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
This place is huge and very busy, so you know it is good. This is either or situation; BBQ or Hot Pot. Our party of four, we got there a little after 7p on Friday night and only had a 20-30 minute wait for BBQ. Think we got seated in about 20 mins. The food was amazing. We ordered two meats (regular and spicy bulgogi) and it was plenty for four adults. The spicy was good and a decent spice, but not too spicy, I preferred the regular bulgogi. The kimchi pancake appetizer was sooo good. Service was meh. Our friends had been there they knew the ropes. My only complaint, I wish our server would have explained all the sides and sauces as he was placing them on the table. Not sure if they do that, but would be nice. Can't wait to try the Hot Pot side!!!
google avatar

Ally C.

Yelp
Open modern Asian space. Choice of seating on either AYCE hotpot or the a la carte KBBQ side. We did the KBBQ. Attentive, friendly servers. There's a large bonchon option. Food was good. The proteins are pricey. I'd prefer the AYCE wagyu option at Chubby Cattle at this price point.
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
This is my favorite Korean bbq place in Colorado. It's really good! I love the chummuluk meat and the kimchi pancake. They are really, really good. They also give you a lot of sides. It is a little expensive but it's worth it, the premium quality is there
google avatar

Jenessa H.

Yelp
My favorite KBBQ spot! The service is always a 10/10. The food also never disappoints. I've done KBBQ and also just ordered at the restaurant and both experiences were great. When in a big group, you get a separate room which is perfect.
google avatar

Simone O.

Yelp
tldr: Great service, meat quality really good, plethora of sides, definitely recommend. We came at around 12pm on a Saturday and got seated immediately for four people. Not too many other parties inside the restaurant. We ordered Combo B which is our choice of four meats, LA Galbi, Galbi, Bulgogi, Sam-gyup-sal (pork belly), as well as coming with the kimchi stew (kimchi jjigae), soju, and kimchi pancake. The amount of side dishes and side salad they give you is so much ad well, it's super super filling. We definitely could have made it with the Combo A of 3 meats but did finish all our meat. They also gave use rice paper, green onion salad, some things that I haven't seen at other KBBQ places. I think all the meats were good, the pork belly a little bland but we got the ssamjjang sauce on the side to add some flavor so overall, all nice and tender and great cuts with great flavor. The service was great, our waitress cooked our meats for us the first and second round and then eventually we just cooked on our own timing. They were very attentive and the grills were really nice that the burned charred parts came off really easily when you rub it with the onion for the next round of meats to cook.
google avatar

Morgan S.

Yelp
Flavorful and delicious! They share a large parking lot with surrounding businesses but there were plenty of spaces. We made a reservation through Yelp and we had to put down a credit card just in case of cancellations. On the weekends it's all you can eat but the dinner price of $40 all day. We weren't aware of this but all agreed that $40 isn't the worst. You have to order the meat with them and then go up and get your own sauce, veggies, seafood, and noodles. They even offer wontons and fried dumplings and fried spring rolls. Our waiter was kind and checked on us a few times. If we needed something and couldn't find our waiter, there's a bell next to the wall we could ring to track them down. Over all it was really yummy but I wish the price was made more clearly for the weekend.

Yelp
I came for a light dinner. I am bit wary of hot pot meals. They are usually too large for one person. This restaurant has 2 sides, one primarily for B.B.Q. and the other for Hot Pot. I started with a large 500ml bottle of Kloud Korean beer for $10.50; It's a bit hoppy with only 5.5% alcohol. I got a classic seaweed salad for only $8. I love spicy food. So I got a skillet of Tteokbbokki, which is braised rice cake & fishcake in a spicy chili sauce. Spicy and filling. I was served by Youn Young C. She kept checking with me. You get metal chopsticks and a large spoon. No music, but there was a video screen showing various Korean dishes and desserts being prepared. They have 6 private dining rooms with glass dividers to double the available space. At 430pm on a Tuesday, 2 rooms were occupied. The menu has the usual Korean specialties + 4 premium B.B.Q. combos from $170-$260 for larger groups.
google avatar

Christy N.

Yelp
I was so impressed by the variety of seafood, noodles, and vegetables. The best part is having the opportunity to choose as much as you like and not feel guilty about it. They have many different soup bases you can choose from. There is a sauce area where you can make dipping sauces and also change the flavor of your soup. Our waiter was very attentive and the service was great. I'd highly recommend this place. It is a bit more expensive than other hot pots I've been to but having the option to choose as much seafood as you'd like.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
A great place to be with family or friends! I loved the food here! The side dishes are very good and the Korean bbq will not disappoint!! The meat is very fresh and high end! It's a bit pricey but worth every bit!! Service is very good and very professional too!! Love their private rooms you can reserve ahead for group seating to avoid crowds and noise too! Great for private get together and birthday events!

Allyssa

Yelp
Service was fast and welcoming. Very flavorful sides and galbi was my favorite meet for bbq! Always a good time when we're in there. Music playing, people laughing and enjoying their meal and always accommodating. The only thing I miss was their other salad dressing they used to have. It was lighter and not as creamy as the one they use now. Still good but not as good as the one before.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
What a stellar first Korean BBQ experience! My husband recently came back from a work trip to South Korea, and craved Korean BBQ. The BBQ menu is outlined either a la carte ($35-50 per meat) or as "combination" with tiers of 3, 4, or 5 meat selections ($165-215) with drinks and additional plates included. Both options come with 14 sides, salad, and dipping sauces. The wagyu came as a whole steak cut, cooked whole. It was not made clear if we or our server would be the one cooking the meat. It would be ideal to have this explained and, if we were to be cooking ourselves which it felt like, have the meat pre-cut to easily cook and eat as we go. We were sat upstairs and were the solo table for quite a good while. Maybe not the most lively. The first floor was packed and seemed geared toward larger groups, with even several private group rooms that seemed to have dedicated staff. Josh was our server and fully made up for the lack of life up there. This place certainly deserves much better than the 3.9 stars it currently holds.
google avatar

Gregory B.

Yelp
This was my first hot pot experience, and it did not disappoint. Customer service was helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The food was delicious. The all you can eat hot pot included premium cuts of meat and a robust seafood and salad bar. Everything I had was fresh and tasty. Enjoy!

Yelp
This review is closer to 4.5 stars. The photo does not do justice with the quantity of banchan (side dishes) they brought out. I am from Philadelphia, and around where I am maybe if you are lucky you get about 6-8 banchans. Here, it was more like 15!! We also asked for refills at least twice. We ordered finger kalbi (without bones) and it was so tender and flavourful. The service was efficient and fast; everyone working there was very friendly. This place has Korean bbq on one side, and the other side (large space) they have hotpots. We asked the worker which one he preferred. Upon hearing that we are Koreans without skipping a beat he said definitely bbq And, I am so glad we chose bbq also! I am already salivating thinking about this place. Cannot wait to go back!
google avatar

Ray K.

Yelp
Best hot pot in the area. The beef is fresh and good quality. My favorites are ribeye and short ribs. They are served thinly sliced. Side dishes like gimbap and dumplings. Great service
google avatar

Cotie U.

Yelp
Service was great, ambiance was good, and food was delicious! Great spot for inexperienced foodies too!
google avatar

Jessica V.

Yelp
SIDES SIDES SIDES!! The side dishes here are my favorite. There is so much variety and not a single one of them tasted bad. The meat quality is probably the best I've had in Denver, coming from San Jose. It's a little pricey but the family meals are a great value. The restaurant itself is huge. It's two sections: hot pot and Korean bbq. I kind of wish they would combine both so that you can have both kbbq and hotpot. Staff is super friendly and will start the grill the meats for you but they aren't actively stopping by to cook your meat.

Sean ..

Yelp
Great food it's a must try spot. Take your friends it's family style. They have private rooms for small meetings.
google avatar

Holly M.

Yelp
Oh. My. Stars. I just happened to be in Denver for work a few weeks back and had the opportunity to visit this spot. I've heard about the Korean hot pot experience (and general dining), but DAMN, this was impressive. The photos tell the tale, but needless to say everything was delicious. I'd heard of the whole free-side-dishes (banchan?) with Koreans meals, but to see the choices spread in front of you is just impressive. I don't know what to say other than go. It's a whole experience, and you'll be stuffed to the brim. Oh, and don't skip the soju! Yowza. What a kick. Easily one of the best meals I had in the Denver area!

Anna V.

Yelp
Food was very fresh , service was very polite and attentive, ambiance was layback This is a must whenever I am in town best hot pot I've had

Yelp
This is my favorite K-BBQ restaurant in Colorado. The service is always on point. The food is delicious. I tend to choose the Bulgogi and the thin sliced pork. When I ask for extra fish cakes I always get a plentiful amount. I absolutely love this restaurant. It is conveniently located. the restaurant is warm and welcoming. It is always clean and the food comes quickly. My favorite part about this restaurant are the conversations I have had with friends and family over the years, 13 to be exact. The Kimchi is so delicious and I really like all of the other small plates. There really is nothing else about this restaurant I can say besides I have yet to try the Hot Pot side. One of these days until then I will continue to eat the BBQ.

Julio T.

Yelp
We came in as a party of 6 to this all-you-can-eat restaurant, and one member of our group wasn't going to eat due to being diabetic. We were immediately told by the manager that this person couldn't stay and had to leave. We completely understand the concept of an all-you-can-eat restaurant, but asking someone to wait outside in 100-degree weather while the rest of the group eats is just unacceptable. We've visited other similar establishments and have never been treated this way in fact, we've simply been asked for the non-eating person to sit at a nearby table or had reasonable accommodations made. The lack of flexibility and empathy here was incredibly disappointing. We won't be returning, and we hope the management reconsiders how they handle situations like this in the future.
google avatar

Kathi B.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that it is really hard to go to any Korean BBQ and/or hot pot place in Colorado after spending the better part of the last 9 years in LA. Lets just say that I know I have to adjust my expectations. In LA you are spoiled by the sheer number and quality of restaurants that specialize in Korean food. Here in Colorado we are limited in number of options available but quality can still be found. We came at lunch and chose the hot pot option over bbg. They honestly have alot of options that you expect from a good hot pot restaurant. Plenty of fresh veggies, noodles, rice cakes, etc as well as sauce options. The meat options were as expected and really good! The staff was very friendly and won't hesitate to come back. Overall Seoul is about as good as we have found in Colorado for an AYCE option without busting the bank (even though prices in Colorado are much higher than in California) but that is to be expected.
google avatar

Tabetha J.

Yelp
Definitely a popular place with several alternative options nearby if you're not into the wait. Our wait was 1hr so we walked over to Coffee Story and got some tea while we waited. There was a big parking lot and I parked at the far end (popular place!). The food was excellent. I did not come for the hot pot nor the bbq. It was my birthday and I saw that they had hwe do bap. Yum! Omg I had never seen such a huge hwe do bap in my life! My friend and I ordered 2 entrees and the portions could have fed a whole family. We also got a steamed egg dish which was so comforting and delicious also! There's a missing star in my review because we did have a roach join us along the table wall divider thing. The staff came over and removed it. I didn't see any in the food but I also wasn't really looking that hard either.
google avatar

Nina M.

Yelp
No pictures because I just started wolfing down my food after it was served. Just kidding, I forgot cos honestly I was overwhelmed with how great this place is. So many vegetables, noodles, seafood, sauces, and dumplings to choose from for your hotpot. They also have a hot food section with plenty to choose from! The broth was okay, I got the creamy beef broth and I thought it could use more of that beefy flavor. I honestly enjoyed this place and would love to give the BBQ portion a try!
google avatar

Cindy V.

Yelp
This is my family's go-to for hotpot and kbbq. They have great prices, food is delicious, and the servers are really friendly.
google avatar

Ray K.

Yelp
When I came, I went on a saturday at 5:40 and the service was pretty slow. However, it was jam packed in the HotPot portion and the food definitely made up for it. For an all you can eat, the food is surprisingly amazing. The setting was SO hectic because there was just soo many people. I had a great experience eating.

Yelp
I've only been to the hotpot side of this restaurant, but it's delicious every time. I love the spicy miso broth! Their sauce bar has a nice set up with many options and I like that you can get sides like kimchi and cucumbers. The options for veggies, seafood, etc is vast. It is on the pricier side compared to other hotpot places in the area, but the quality of meat you get is much nicer in my opinion. They recently added in free ice cream when you are done which is a nice touch! They have the service buttons on the table if you need anything more which is convenient. I will need to try to kbbq side at some point!
