Seoul Market Eatery - Review - Koreatown - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"At first glance, we thought the prices on the menu at Seoul Market Eatery were typos. But no, this Korean street food spot is really selling plates of tteokbokki and fried chicken for just five bucks. The menu features classic Korean street foods, like spicy rice cakes, fishcake soup, tempura, and fried chicken, all available in three different sizes: small ($5), medium ($10), and large ($15). You might think the small would be a sad little sampler, but it’s a pretty respectable portion that would satisfy as a light lunch. And the food is surprisingly good for something that costs less than your average latte." - Cathy Park

A Complete Guide to Food & Drink at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"I head to Goal-Mok (Section 119) when I want Koreatown classics in a stadium setting; the spicy tteokbokki arrives crispy and fried in a gochujang sauce with rice on the side, and the Seoul bowl is loaded with sweet-and-spicy boneless Korean fried chicken." - Rebecca Roland

Let’s get right to the point! Found this place on TikTok, and my husband and I decided to check it out. Here’s what we ordered: We started with the fried chicken gangjeong. You can choose your size (small, medium, or large) and flavor (sweet & spicy or soy sauce). We went with a medium sweet & spicy, and it was delicious! The chicken was well-seasoned, super crispy, and came with a bit of tteokbokki on the side. What caught my attention was that the tteokbokki was fried — something I’ve never tried before! I personally prefer it soft, but my husband loved the crispy texture. Next, we ordered the tteokbokki with noodles (about a $2.49 add-on). Definitely worth it! The tteokbokki itself was cooked well, though my husband didn’t love the soft texture — he would’ve preferred a crispy option if it were available. One thing we both agreed on was that the dish had a little too much sauce. It was flavorful, but a better balance between the noodles, tteokbokki, and sauce would make it perfect. I also wish it had a bit more spice! If we had to pick favorites: my husband’s was the fried chicken gangjeong, and mine was the tteokbokki with noodles (just with less sauce and more kick!). Overall, the atmosphere was chill, the restaurant was clean, service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Prices are great too! We’ll definitely be coming back again.

“I was walking by this place and thought it looked cute. I was in the mood for a snack, so I ordered the tteokbokki. The prices are very reasonable! I got the small size and added ramen noodles perfect portion for a snack, but not enough for a full meal. The flavor was a bit too sweet for me, but overall it was okay.

This place was recommended on social media so I decided to check it out while I was in the area. I ordered the spicy rice cakes, fried chicken and kimbap. We did not expect to get as much as we did for how much we paid for. Menu doesn't have a significant amount of variety but a decent amount of different dishes and drink options with excellent prices. Not only were prices good the food was good. Will definitely come again when I can. Be aware that the space is small with limited seating.

Classic korean street food for an affordable price point. I was able to order three small entrees for just less than $20 including tax. Would definitely stop by again for a quick dinner with friends

Very cute place, if you like to take photos. Portions have different sizes and all are affordable. tokbokki(?) was kind of sweet though. But I like fish cake and the soup was very light and good in this chilly weather. Their fried chicken portion was very good for a small. I’d definitely go back again.

The food was delicious and very affordable. Great value for the quality. The staff were super nice and friendly, which made the experience even better. It does get a bit busy during rush hours, so you might have to wait a little, but it wasn’t too long. Parking is street-only, so plan for that if you’re driving. Overall, a solid spot for tasty Korean food. Would definitely come back!

I saw this place on TikTok and decided to check it out, and it was amazing! We ordered the small size for each dish and were absolutely amazed by the portion sizes, especially for just $5 each. The food was not only delicious but also great quality—it’s not just about the price. I love the concept, and the staff was incredibly friendly
