This place intrigued me. If a Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant doesn't entice you, I don't know what will. In terms of vibes, it's very casual. You walk up to the counter, order, and sit down to wait. There is a lot of seating though so I wouldn't worry about not finding a seat.
One thing I wanted to note was that the server at the counter was so kind and offered to let us taste the kimchi slaw and kimchi fried rice before we ordered them. That right there is good service and a really nice touch.
We ordered 2 gogi bowls with chicken, one with regular rice and one with kimchi fried rice. We also got a cup of Queso and a side of kimchi slaw.
It took longer than we thought for the food to come out but it wasn't an atrocious amount of time. Just something to keep in mind, because it wasn't that busy when we were there.
Gogi Bowl with chicken: Very good. The egg yolk is perfectly runny, the chicken is super flavorful and a really nice texture, it comes with lots of veggies (which we were craving), and has a Korean inspired sauce in it. You also get a side of gochujang with the bowl but in my opinion, there needs to be more flavor coming from the first sauce or other sauces. But it was still SO good, especially because I added the queso on top of mine to really seal in that Mexican aspect of it, and I highly recommend that. If you want extra spice and flavor, I'd definitely opt for the kimchi fried rice as your base instead of the white rice, but the white rice lets the other flavors shine more so it really is a personal choice.
Kimchi Slaw: Highly highly recommend!!! Absolutely delicious. Wasn't super kimchi forward, but as someone who loves slaw and vinegar and Asian flavors, it really hit the spot. A great way to add more flavor to your bowl as well.
Queso: Your standard queso, nothing too special, but gave great flavor and added nuance to the very Korean centric bowl.
We didn't try the burrito or the tacos but that's something I'd look into next time!!
