Google
Love the staff! Super friendly and even though we came in less than an hour before closing, they smiled and served us with fervor. The food was like Korean Chipotle - super 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Definitely going back The pic doesn't do it any justice. Sorry it was off day 😞

Google
I really enjoyed this spot. I made my own bowl with salad and purple rice, spicy pork, all the veggies, a spicy creamy sauce, and cilantro, green onions, and sesame seeds on top. It was very good and relatively inexpensive. The service was a little abrupt and hurried, but ultimately it was quick and I got what I needed.

We passed by this place at least five times before finally deciding to give it a try—and I’m so glad we did! We customized our own bowls with noodles, chicken, and veggies, and I can honestly say I’ve never had such an incredible bowl of food! It was our last night in DC when we tried it, and we were kicking ourselves for not going sooner. The flavors were absolutely spot-on, and I can't praise it enough. Dear owner, please consider opening a location in the Bay Area, California!

Google
Korean inspired comfort food with lots of healthy options. All of the toppings and sauces are made from scratch and in-house daily. I ordered the Bibimbap purple rice bowl with spicy pork, corn, cucumbers, Korean radish, kale slaw, and kimchi. I toped it off with Korean hot sauce, crispy garlic, and a soft boiled egg. The total cost was $15.92 and it took about 10 minutes to order and walk out with my food. The meal was delicious and I enjoyed the authentic Korean taste.

The food was a great price and delicious. Very fast service; I had my order within a few minutes. Enjoyable atmosphere as well. I would eat here again for sure.

Google
Very nice and patient service. Excellent tasty food and very good price. I got a bowl of salad base with chicken and beef, plus kimchi and it's a great combo.

I am an Asian and I always looking for Asian food whenever I visit a new place. The ladies and gentlemen working here serve with the smiles, kindness and care and delicious food. The price they charge us was way less than I expected. The portion of the food was big. I had the rice, spicy pork, chicken, an egg and cilantro. My son had noodles, chicken, cucumber and avocado. He wanted another bowl because it was so good 😋 We went for lunch and we have to go back for dinner again. This is the affordable, delicious, great service and clean place. We will be back again and again and again! Thank you!

Google
Incredibly tasty, extremely friendly service, love how chill the place is, and the crispy chicken is to die for! The manager, Ashley, was especially helpful and kind while we asked questions about the different options. If you like Korean food, highly recommend checking them out!

Yelp
Penn Quarters location had the best service! Staff were energetic and helpful. They seem to enjoy being there Food is delish and you get big servings. Enough for two meals

Yelp
Was in the mood for some Korean so decides to try this resturant out. Most definately does not compare to tradition Korean resturant when items are separate. Overall the build your bowl was good with lots of items to choose from, and staff was friendly. A bit on the pricey side but you do get a good portion of food.

Yelp
I love to swing by SeoulSpice when I want something quick by my office. The Korean style bowls are delicious, filling and the staff are always pleasant. Highly reccomend if you're in the NOMA neighborhood.

Yelp
Ordered in store and took my meal to go on a Friday at lunch. No line, some customers were seated at tables. I got a delicious Noodle bowl with chicken, add all veggies, crunchy scallion, sesame seeds, spicy sauce and creamy sauce. Kale slaw is my favorite topping and the japchae style noodles are so satisfying. I was full all day. Restaurant clean, staff friendly and I have had consistently excellent meals here for the past 5 years.

Yelp
Solid Korean rice bowl option in town. Extra meat was also very reasonable in terms of price. Pleased with the meal.

Yelp
It's probably a good thing I discovered SeoulSpice on my last day in DC; otherwise I may never have eaten at another restaurant! Ordering was super easy - pick your rice, protein, toppings, sauces. The price was appropriate or less than expected for the amount and quality food. The space had lots of seating and some IG-worthy decor.

Yelp
I went here twice since it was super close to where I was staying for my work trip. I ordered for pick-up, and the staff has been really kind both times. I ordered the bowl both times but tried the bulgogi and spicy pork. Both of these options were delicious and well seasoned. I'm not used to a Korean dish prepared like a poke bowl, but it was the best I had in the area. I'm giving it a 4 just because it doesn't fully match up to my favorite Korean spots, but it's a decent spot for grabbing Korean food on the go!

Yelp
A good lunch alternative in the Noma area. They run the line pretty well. It gets really crowded, but they keep it going. The food is good. Enough options to rotate for visits. It gets really loud in here, so if it is your first time it will be hard to understand the staff behind the glass. The menu board is pretty explanative, so it works.

Yelp
I love the food here. Almost everything is gluten free which is also nice for people that have that sensitivity. A coworker and I come here pretty frequently and even when it is very busy, you get your food quickly. The employees are also very nice. The ambiance is great - very cute inside with some instagrammable walls. Also there is a cute outdoor area out front to eat when it is warmer out.

Yelp
I came to SeoulSpice a week ago, since it's fairly close by, and I honestly expected it to be better. I don't like giving mediocre reviews to restaurants, but it's a fair rating. Upon entering the store, I immediately noticed that it smelled strange inside (and not like food). The best way I can describe it is that it kind of smelled like the steam that comes out of dishwashers. To me, that was not a good start. When I walk into a restaurant or a store, I want to feel more hungry because of the smell of the food. Unfortunately, I did not feel this way walking into this one. I'm not sure if this was bad luck on my part or if it usually smells like this, but it should definitely be addressed. I ordered the signature bowl Seoul Train so that my first taste could be a signature dish before mixing it up. (You can create your own bowl here kind of like Subway). I took it home, and I was underwhelmed. I thought the bowl was good, but not great. I feel like I have definitely had better Korean food elsewhere. Although it was a mediocre experience - I am very willing to try SeoulSpice again to see if maybe this bowl just wasn't to my taste, but I think the store itself needs more of an ambiance and maybe to open its door to let out some of the stuffiness once in a while!

Yelp
Healthy, tasty, and fast! It's usually not very busy and the service is always great! I've had a great experience every time I've been here! It's cute and there's little spots for photo ops!

Yelp
Yum! Takeout meal was delicious. The egg was a good consistency and the spicy sauce was great. Definitely would order again. Got delivery through UberEats, so unable to comment on service or ambiance.

Yelp
Great food A must try Allergy friendly. The food was delicious , it was fast and healthy. Win/win

Yelp
If you have walked past this place many times and considered trying it, but was hestitant like me, for whatever reason, just go in!!!! For the last few days, i have been walking past seoulspice and didnt want to come in because the place appears super empty and being in a dirty area didnt help but i said fuck it and came in tonight to try it and was very plesantly surprised! The staff was super friendly and helpful w the options. The portions are pretty good! Would def come back while i am still in town! Dont judge the book by the cover and give this place a chance! I wished i came here days ago so i can have it more often while in town!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Second time back and this time I went for the chef curated bowl. The last time I had my own DIY bowl. The combination of bulgogi and japchae is unparalleled. I will definitely be back again to try other signature bowls!

Erica J.

Yelp
Amazing!!! Food was flavorful and fresh. I stumbled into this spot as it was near my hotel. The chicken and Korean beef rice bowl was delicious!!
google avatar

Kip J.

Yelp
I get this delivered probably once a week. The bowls have great flavor and are a good size. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
I love the concept and all the toppings are so good! I did the noodles bowl with tofu and all the veggies. I also added the creamy sriracha and all the additional free toppings. I would highly recommend this place each bite was so flavorful. The few times I've gone I haven't had to wait too long and was able to get my food quickly! There's not much place to sit so I'd recommend planning to do takeout.

Yelp
My mom and I saw this restaurant by the hotel we were staying at and decided to check it out. I found the food to be the perfect lunch for us. It was good food, easy to order, and quick service. I thought the servings were generous and I enjoyed the variety of toppings you could add to your bowl. I would go here again, but considering DC has so many restaurants in such a small area, I won't be rushing back.
google avatar

Yvette 'Divie' E.

Yelp
This was a 3.5 for take out on a recent visit to DC. Food: I got the noodles with tofu and several toppings. The flavors of each were good, but together, it didn't quite work. I was a little overwhelmed with all the choices and probably didn't order the best. Service: Efficient. I wish they would have asked if I'd been there before! I could have used the overview. I'd be open to trying again.

Yelp
Wonderful meal! I am always hesitant to eat out because of my sensitive gut, but they have gluten free food! I missed this bit of imporant info cause i want tasty food when traveling and will eat food as long as it doesnt actually/ obviously contain gluten. The bibimbap bowl i had was awesome and i was even able to save some for the next day. A normal person may be able to eat it all in one sitting though. Dont forget the sesame oil if you can, it really brings the unami to tie it all together.

Yelp
I loved coming here during my days in the office, the food is great and the staff prepare it quickly.

Yelp
I had the purple rice bowl with essentially all the ingredients (too numerous to mention), added Tofu, creamy siracha, and ginger carrot sauce. Wow, this was absolutely delish, I was thinking about rating it a five and depending on how I feel on certain days, it just might be. The purple rice is somewhat sweet, al dente and a grain I'll be incorporating into my diet more often! All the veggies were fresh and absolutely delicious. I get that my pictures aren't the most visually appealing and that's mainly because I love lots and lots of sauce on my food, but please trust me that this spot is worth a try. I'll be coming here more often...oh, almost forgot - THE TOFU!! I don't know how they make it, but it is hands down the best Tofu I've ever had. The texture is comparable to meat, compliments all the ingredients and had a nice char to it (maybe it was grilled?!?). Anyways, try it ASAP!!! -ODL Follow my IG: @AOEAT

Yelp
Their portion sizes are pretty large, and I would always get an egg with my bowl as that was one of my favorite parts of the meal. Prices are also pretty reasonable too. Back when we were living in DC, we would eat at Seoulspice a few times per week.
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for lunch today. Pretty good food! At first, I was planning to order the noodle but the Kimchi Kranch ad caught my attention. It has chicken (garlic-ginger-soy) bean sprouts, carrots, pickled radish, kale slaw, kimchi ginger-carrot sauce crispy garlic, cilantro, scallions, roasted sesame seeds and purple rice. Yum! I got Yuzu Honey Lime Tea, kind of bitter for my taste.

Evan J.

Yelp
Amazing food, great service and good prices. I love going here for lunch or dinner. 100% recommend.
google avatar

Brittany C.

Yelp
This place is my go-to lunch spot when I visit DC. Imagine a Korean Chipotle or Cava. The food is always fresh and I love the sauces that go on top at the end. I highly recommend the Noma location.
google avatar

Gayani S.

Yelp
I ordered the Fireball on UberEats today. I haven't been this disappointed in DC Korean food as much as I have been today. The food was cold and was not fresh. I could taste the staleness and had to throw away the entire bowl. Not sure what the reviews on UberEats was about. May be I had their food on an off day, but I'll never eat there again
google avatar

Kennedy B.

Yelp
Imagine Chipotle but make it Korean. I got a bowl with white rice, bulgogi beef, corn, eggs, and sriracha mayo. It was delicious. I don't have pictures because the food was SO GOOD I couldn't wait long enough to capture it. I also tried the purple rice which tastes identical to white rice but has more nutrients! The sriracha mayo spice level was a 5/10- pretty mild but delicious. My only critiques were that the eggs were cold (intentionally) it wasn't bad but I think I would've liked them better hot, and indoor table seating was limited. There were a couple tables and the rest of the seating was a very cool bleacher type of vibe. Service was decent but slightly slow.
google avatar

Yelp
I have had SEOULSPICE a few times now and have been super pleased each time! They are a fast casual, build your own style (or choose a signature flavor combo) type of place serving Korean comfort food. I've tried their Seoul Train (beef bulgogi), Fireball (spicy pork) and Korrito (rice burrito with whatever flavors you want!). All were delicious! Love their purple rice! Highly recommend for a quick meal that you will leave happy with!
google avatar

Yelp
Wanted to try something new for lunch that was healthy as well. So I searched on grub hub and found this place. The pics looked good and so did the reviews. I got the rice bowl with all the toppings and added avocado and two sauce choices. Let me tell you, this bowl was bomb! The tofu was cooked perfectly and all of the ingredients just worked! They also have a good portion. If this was eaten fresh it could probably receive 5 stars. But I will def keep ordering from them again. It's worth it!
google avatar

Michele M.

Yelp
Think of chipotle but for Korean meats and different toppings. They give a lot of rice A great fast food option if you're around the neighborhood. Ask for extra sauce on the side in case your bowl needs more flavor.
google avatar

Shaun T.

Yelp
This place is always busy, but super efficient. I'm never disappointed at SEOUL.

Yelp
Nice light health food. One to consider when in a healthy diet streak. Advice one to go and choose their own combination.

Yelp
*Ordered in July* Conveniently a 5 min walk from our hotel, and very cute interior. It's chipotle/subway style where u pick one of the options and they create it while you pick your fillings etc. Seemed to be a popular lunchtime spot for a lot of working people nearby. Anyways I ordered after arriving right after our flight and a really long day so was very happy that it was a large serving and not badly priced esp for dc (I think but I'm based in Texas). I ordered a Korrito (korean style burrito) which is essentially gimbap but a huge uncut up burrito version where the seaweed is used as the "tortilla" wrapping. As a vegetarian there were a decent amount of veggie filling options and tofu for protein, I also tried purple rice for the first time and it was great! Really liked the sauces as well. Only qualm was that it falls apart really easily because the seaweed isn't the strongest wrapping but that's expected and it gets weaker as the sauces etc soften it up. Overall really good and flavorful!

Yelp
This is my first time at the Penn Quarter location and it was great. The customer service was wonderful and they were very helpful.

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Great Service, great food! come through to the Penn Quarters location!! Lovely workers as well.

Yelp
good service at Penn quarters location. the ladies were very pleasant. I recommend this place.

Yelp
I love bibimbap and SeoulSpice was a great gluten free option. Our bowls were both fresh and delicious. The downside is we ordered additional sauces that weren't included in our order. I definitely recommend SeoulSprice, but you might want to double check your order.

Cathy M.

Yelp
The service was fabulous. The food was excellent. The ambiance was friendly and the place was very clean.

Yelp
Visited during covid- no indoor seating... take out and delivery only! Kind of like a Korean version of chipotle.. choose your base and what you want to add to the bowl/burrito/salad Staff were friendly but those masks weren't covering their noses! Their food is not bad but I was surprised to find that for a fast food bibimbap... the klassic bowel was $14... For that price point, I could have gone to a real restaurant and get a stone pot bibimbap... but I guess DC pricing? Pretty busy.. not a lot of people in store but I can tell they get a lot of delivery/online order/pick up Again, flavor is there but I just finding a hard time justifying a $14 fast food bibimbap

Yelp
I recently tried Seoul Spice and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. It's a unique twist on a fast-casual restaurant and the Korean bulgogi was especially tasty. The rice was cooked perfectly and the sauces were really good too. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The service was friendly and efficient, and I appreciated the unique flavors and atmosphere. If you're in the area, give Seoul Spice a try!
google avatar

Yelp
One of the most affordable spots for gluten free Korean noms that you can customize as you prefer. My biggest complaint is it always ends up soaking through their compostable bowls (since I like the kimchee and other more soggy salad items). Also ordered the GF japchee glass noodles and HHEELLLOOO comfort food !!! Definitely going for it again as the weather cools downs!
google avatar

P H.

Yelp
It's good you just have to figure out what to get. I got every veggie option and chicken. The chicken: good The kimchi: not so good Bean sprouts: don't add much in flavor, just crunch The noodles and the orange sauce I got (forgot the name-sorry!) were really good. Overall 7.3/10. It's good but it's just needs something, maybe if I didn't get kale. But this is good healthy food. If you get the right things it definitely good just like chipotle but Korean version. Also seating in the restaurant would make this more enjoyable. If you have to eat it when you're on the go it's not the same as sitting down with it when you first get it.

Tanisha W.

Yelp
I discovered SeoulSpice during a professional development day at my school. I have never been more satisfied than I was with a meal ever! The rice bowl with the spicy pork, cucumbers, corn, crispy garlic, kimchi and creamy sriracha is the bomb! This bowl doesn't lack flavor at all!
google avatar

Eric R.

Yelp
Had this on our trip to DC. Food was excellent. I had the Kimchi Krunch and everyone else had custom bowls. None of us picky eaters had a complaint. The kids had lots of options. As a father of kids with Celiac Disease, I wish we had one near us! They might have needed one more staff member that day but they were friendly. Make sure you have a card on you as they were not accepting cash at that time.
google avatar

Foodie X.

Yelp
Quality of food is just okay, nothing really special. Quantity of the meat should be given a little more and not packed with the rice. Employees should be more friendly as I see some visitors don't know what they suppose to do. It's good place for a grab n' go to those in a rush, as they pack the food pretty quick.
google avatar

Bronwyn E.

Yelp
Good spot for quick eats never too busy. Sometimes orders can be too saucy or not quite right. Not authentic Korean. But good nonetheless
google avatar

Prim G.

Yelp
Great Food! We found this place just walking by and it was a great place! The food was amazing and the options they have are great and healthy!

Yelp
Decent fast Korean-style food Food: Decent interpretation of popular Korean dishes. I had the spicy pork rice bowl and tried most of the sides. Overall good and for fast food I'd say very good. A nice alternative to a sandwich for lunch. Service: Like a Subway- choose ingredients and walk down the line as your order is built. Cashier was not very pleasant. Overall cleanliness: average Ambiance: Industrial eatery that attempts some modernist Korean-inspired personality
