"An entertaining culinary experience, thanks to the Japanese chef who serves his own “fusion” cuisine influenced by Italian dishes (and occasionally European, such as the Basque cheesecake) with the occasional Japanese twist. On Thursdays, the menu is completely Japanese with a focus on typical specialities such as sushi, sashimi, tempura and gyoza dishes." - Michelin Inspector

Stumbled upon Serendepico after a long walk around the Sforza Castle, and it turned out to be a pretty good choice for a laid-back lunch. We grabbed a table outside—definitely the way to go if the weather’s nice. The view of the fortress is hard to beat, especially with the buzz of Milanese life all around. I went with the lasagna, which was decent—comforting, with a good balance of sauce and pasta. My Aperol Spritz, on the other hand, was spot on—bitter, bright, and refreshing, just the way I like it. Service was polite but relaxed—don’t come here in a hurry, but if you're in the mood to sit back, enjoy the vibe, and do a bit of people-watching, it’s a solid spot. Prices are fair for the location, and the whole atmosphere makes it easy to linger a little longer than planned. Would I come back? Probably yes.

Great location and atmosphere. Unfortunately the service was slow and understaffed. The food is good for this price range.

The eggplant was really raw, really a disappointment that the main ingredient was unbeatable. Also the waiter didn’t ask anything about it. Also they were remodeling the kitchen and they have just saladas and paninis. The views are nice.

I don't understand why would you want your customers to use your disgusting restroom. It's not expensive to make it nice.

It’s located in a very pretty area, that’s about all the positive I can say about this place. We came here for a light lunch. The water comes in a PET bottle, which is already a red flag. The water glass was still wet from the washing machine. The toilets are absolutely disgraceful, no seats and very dirty. The pizza was a disappointment, it didn’t even have tomato sauce on it, it tasted buttery and was very greasy. The coffee came in mugs that had coffee stains on the side. The waiter brought the bill without us even asking for it, which was kinda off putting aswell. Overall a sad experience, just because you’re located in a good area, doesn’t mean you can give poor quality for your guests. I’d recommend avoiding the place and taking your money elsewhere.

I have visited this place a few times. The eggplant was packed with salt and cold. It was obvious that it wasn't made that day. I am sure they just heated it up in the oven. The menu no longer offers what was once good food. I asked the waitress for pepperoncino and she never brought it to me. The quality of the food and service has really gone down.

We ordered 3 dishes, but only 2 came. Idk how this can be possible but yeah happened. The waiter is not aware at all about his customers, you should go and call him inside if ur sitted outside. And ofc the dish that never came was in the bill. Wouldnt recommend at all

Hello F.

Yelp
The food was super excellent. We enjoyed a nepolitano pizza. The wait staff was very friendly and understanding of our new language, Italian, and they were also very experienced English language skilled. The place was very clean with a plush atmosphere. We liked the hot red and black fashion. As far as location, it could not be better as it is near the Metro station, but in a solo prime location for viewing the castle. The price was perfect for our budget.

Yelp
I went to Serendepico in a raining evening. My friend and I are students that went to the conference in Milan. We, in our student-looking clothes, a bit wet from the rain, went into the restaurant to ask the waiter to serve some water. The family owning the restaurant were also having dinner at that time as well as a few customers. Upon our request, the lady ( the owner or the wife of the owner) gave an eye to the waiter to signal him not taking our order. The waiter shrug his shoulders. We left, the lady staring at us half contempt, half victorious. A very snobby place indeed.
