LA’s New Restaurant Openings

"This new Italian spot in DTLA—located in Maguire Gardens next door to the LA Central Library—looks as much like a museum as it does a restaurant. The book-lined dining room is decorated with violins and trumpets that hang from the ceilings, and the outdoor patio gives off Bridgerton-themed wedding venue energy. The menu is a lot more typical, though, with pasta, pizzas, sandwiches, and steaks." - cathy park

This place is at the heart of Downtown Los Angeles and it is beautiful. The atmosphere is phenomenal, the patio is gorgeous with wonderful street view. However, expect slow service. We’ve tried few of their drinks and their 700 Mule is flavorful; however, it is slightly sweeter than a usual mule. We tried their group dinning menu. However, it was weird to list an item, and not have it, as an option. Overall, food is okay at best.

The restaurant has indoor seating and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is large and can accommodate a banquet. The area is shaded by trees and umbrellas. The interior seating his own chairs and tables. The outside seating is very casual and fully staff with servers. The interior has a full size bar and wine, sell us around the bar. The kitchen can be viewed through the glass windows. The prices are moderate. The restaurant menu is a fixed price menu and options that are selected from the various sections of the menu. There’s an extra charge for dessert. There’s a charge for a bottle of water that is still or sparkling. The dessert serve a very good. The appetizers were very good. The pizzas were good and the pasta was fair. The meals are served to order so plan on spending an extended amount of time during your visit.

Was visiting the LA public library and found this cute restaurant right in the garden area. We were there during LA restaurant month and had a variety of the appetizers to share, we had the fried eggplant, fries, the polenta, and salmon balls (in that order from best to worst) they were all really good! The waitress was very kind told us about some secret mocktails on menu we tried the dragonfruit one and passionfruit one, they were both the bomb!!! Would highly recommend this place especially on a nice sunny breezy day to sit outside!

Remus our server was amazing! What an asset for the restaurant! This one is a keeper! Great recommendation. The food was exceptional! The atmosphere was amazing! Definitely we will be back and bring more people with us! This is the hottest place in LA! Authentic Italian food and atmosphere right here in our beautiful LA City!

It was an amazing experience at Settecento. The pizza, baked in a brick oven, was truly top-tier — easily the best I’ve ever had. The T-bone steak was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. Absolutely delicious. The European sea bass was crispy on the outside and wonderfully tender on the inside — definitely a must-try! Even the bread that came with the meal was incredibly tasty. When one of my friend arrived late and was about to eat his cold pizza, the waitress kindly offered to reheat it for her, which was a thoughtful touch. The interior of the restaurant adds to the charm, with elegant details like violins and other instruments, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. The location is wonderful! I hear the garden is available for private events like wedding parties and office gatherings.

In downtown LA, this spot probably has the best dining environment I’ve been to. I took my parents here and we ordered a good amount of food. All were excellent and it was a great dining experience. The starter bread was great and I started off with their Italian cab “Rispetto.” Their calamari with shrimp was great along with their octopus. Both I highly recommend to start off. My branzino was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The deserts were all really delicious to finish off the night. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.

Google
We stumbled upon this gem by accident, we were randomly walking for miles around downtown. Loved it from the moment we walked in the door - the bar is so cool, with the book-covered pillars and musical instruments hanging from the ceiling! And then there’s the patio and the park - so beautiful!!! We sat at the bar, had several great cocktails, the bartenders are amazing, and the Caprese salad is THE BOMB, literally :-) We’ll be back for sure, the whole menu looks delicious and other diners were commenting on the yummy dishes. If I lived closer, I’d be coming here daily :-)

Google
Such a welcome edition to DTLA! Old world sophistication at an accessible price point. You can spend a little or a lot here depending on what you order and every dish we tried was delicious. We especially loved the truffle pizza. The atmosphere, music, and waitstaff were perfection. We’ll definitely be back!

Yelp
Settecento is such a hidden gem in downtown! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing--chic, intimate, and so different from anything else around. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, and you can tell so much thought goes into every detail. we had Funghi & Salsicia -pizza-(which has sausages, Italian parsley, cheese and is a pretty big pizza), soup of the day (carrots soup, amazing!) and andddd, NAKED and FAMOUS, which was DELICIOUS and highly recommended by our server! Our server, Remus, was incredible! Not only was he attentive and kind, but he also gave us a mini tour of the restaurant when we commented on how unique the space is. That personal touch made our experience unforgettable. This place is a must-visit--I'm thinking having my b day there. Is that possible? I couldn't see anything about it today!

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining here last night! Absolutely beautiful restaurant, delicious Italian food and the service was top notch! The outdoor patio is really beautiful ... chandeliers et al! I can't wait for summer ... great location and there's parking underground (DTLA Library)!! Did I mention the desserts were to die for?!?? Can't wait to return!!

Yelp
the music was too loud but our server Josie got right on it and had the volume turned down. the food was excellent and our server Lavinia was really attentive and fun. I would have given this restaurant a 5 if the music was set at a volume that made conversation easier. great food!

Yelp
Had brunch here over the weekend and I really enjoyed it. We both ordered sandwiches, one was beef and the other salmon. It came with a side of fries and a cup of fruit. The presentation on the board was very cute and the food was delicious, I was especially obsessed with the bread! I liked our experience with the service, we got there when it just opened and they let us choose where we wanted to sit. They were pretty prompt with getting us water and taking our order. The ambiance for lunch was lovely. The inside has great seating options and a nicely decorated bar as the centerpiece of the area. The outdoor area has cute patio furniture, couches, lighting, and they also have an herb + vegetable garden. I really liked that they worked with the space of the Maguire gardens, the restaurant fits right in. I'd love to check it out in the evening for dinner - I definitely see myself coming back when I am in this area.

Yelp
I had lunch at Settecento twice this week...with two very different experiences. Tuesday: service was amazing and food was delicious. Today: service was terrible and two of us had undercooked pasta. I think today was likely just an off day, since my first experience was almost perfect! I also want to note that the restaurant is beautiful, and the lunch prices are VERY reasonable. I might give it another try at some point!

Yelp
I came here for Dine LA for lunch. There were a number of things that they can improve on. Service was very mediocre. Our server was nice but there were long periods of time that they didn't check on us. And there were a number of times where we would ask for something and it would them a while to get back to us. We asked for bread multiple times before we got a basket. The food was good. I especially liked the insalata di farro and could make a meal out of it. The Caprese was ok, there were bites that were prefect but I would have liked a bit more basil and salt to bring out the flavors more. I got the spaghetti alla chitarra alla nerano which has fried zucchini, butter, provolone cheese and squash blossom. It was good. The restaurant is clean and has fun decor. The photo is the decor above the bar and since it's located next to the library they used books as decor on the pillars around the bar. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I parked at the library and they offer validation for that parking but you still have to pay.

Yelp
We only popped in for quick drinks. But left wishing we had planned our meal here!! It's a very Italian spot. The tables are comfortable with a fresh, light and sophisticated vibe. The service was quick and just lovely!! This is on the list next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Only open for a month or so, Settecento is a gorgeous little haven tucked away next to the library. We were just grabbing a drink, but the food looked delicious so we plan to come back to try it on another occasion. The ambience is a mix of cozy with a kind of fancy-ness to it. Seating is comfortable and the space has a huge skylight and wall to wall windows creating an almost glasshouse vibe. One of the employees told us they do music one night a week and showed us the outdoor garden patio with lights and chandeliers, I imagine it's magical at night. Service was good and drinks were well priced even outside of the happy hour prices. Great place for lunch with friends or a girl brunch or a romantic date. I hope this place does well as it's such a unique little space.

Yelp
Mangiamo! Perfecto! We popped in for lunch during the week and it was Delicioso ! Prefix lunch menu 25 bucks We had a delicious fresh quinoa with diced veggies with a sauce that was so fresh and clean and delicious. Then an entrée we had a margarita, pizza, spaghetti with zucchini and cream sauce that was delicious. . The bread and the Italian biscuits were so yummy. I could've eaten the whole basket. our waitress, Josiane was amazing. She was Italian and so lovely and friendly and funny. Best music for dining we sat on the patio. The property is amazing right next to the library where they do do have parking. (and they do validate.) Gosh ... I wish they had this in Orange County

Yelp
This place is in soft opening still. Lots of service tweaks still needed. (Missing utensil roll upon seating. Missing spoon and offering of toppings when serving spaghetti) But what a cute place this is!! Right next to the DTLA library, it has the cutest touches and is super cozy yet gorgeous feel. (Columns of bar is covered in books) Lovely service folks and great food & drinks. They just need to sort out their logistics!! That outdoor space has real chandeliers!!! When it's warmer, this place will be just THE place to be!!

Yelp
Stopped by for happy hour today. The restaurant is small, but it is absolutely lovely. It's very nicely decorated. Service is pretty fast and attentive, but they do get pretty busy. I tried the house rose and the Monantara/fried pizza. The Mariana sauce on the fried pizza is really good. It is just a bit too acidic though. The dough is good. I'd recommend more cheese, and I wouldn't put it on the napkin at the bottom. It just soaks up the sauce. The house wine was pretty good. I will definitely try some of the cocktails on my next visit.

Yelp
DTLA's New Gem for SURE!! From the moment we showed up, Remus was already waving and smiling at us from the sidewalk--it was such a sweet way to start the day! The interior is gorgeous, with the perfect mix of modern and cozy. It feels like the kind of spot where you could stay all evening, just soaking up the atmosphere. Remus was amazing--so warm and friendly, and he made sure we had everything we needed. His recommendations were spot on, and it was clear he genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. Settecento is such a vibe. Definitely can't wait to come back! Forgot to snap a pic of the food -- ate it too quick! Was so yum!

Yelp
The Gem Of Downtown! Absolutely, top-notch service, environment, atmosphere, and design. Phenomenal food with a real Italian chef from Italy. Top of the game materials used everywhere. The lighting and ambience are phenomenal and perfect for a date or a good time with friends. SetteCento is sure to become one of the best destination restaurants in all of Los Angeles. 10 out of 10 could not be happier with the experience. Be sure to get your reservation .

Yelp
Unique and beautiful location (inside and out). We had the pleasure to dine outdoors under the cityscape and twinkling lights, with ample heater lamps to keep you warm and toasty. The tasting menu was definitely a good value. Wonderful service and experience, would be back with more of my friends. Thoroughly enjoyed their pizza, pasta, and wine.

Yelp
Perfect location right next to LA main library for business, friends and family gathering as well as wedding and special event! Stack books and instruments Décor are so beautiful and perfect for the location. The green tree surrounding is a great spot to enjoy a sunny lunch and a nice evening dinner with the view of cityscape and chandeliers on the trees. The staffs were so welcoming and attentive and serve each meal just in the perfect time. We ordered $25 3 course fixed lunch. Wow! Where can you find a restaurant with the price in such a beautiful Italian restaurant in LA? You can choose 1 appetizer from 4 selections & 1 main from either Pasta (8 selections) or Pizza (6 selections) plus a desert!! There are Vegan and Gluten free menus as well. We picked Caprese and Insalata del Settecento (green salad with boiled egg with balsamic dressing) They are both so tasty and refreshing! We chose Smoked Provolone cheese with squash bloom and anchovies Pizza - wow! The crest is crisp outside and just perfect moist texture inside. No wonder they use a special wood fire pizza oven import from Italy! The cheese was incredibly delicious!! Gnocchi with Ragu (slow cooked w/port, beef, tomato and Italian veggies) source are flavorful and authentic! Don't forget to mention that their breads are incredible - hard to stop eating before the meal was served. At the end, we enjoyed Cheese cake - made from goat cheese! Perfect sweetness! Settecento will be our favorite Italian restaurant! We already made a reservation for friend's birthday in January!!

Yelp
We came here for breakfast and the menu was quite limited, so we ordered two cuzzetiellos, breakfast and smoked salmon. We liked the breakfast one more but both were great. Remus was our server and he did a great job with recs. The prices here are fair as well.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant in DTLA! The interior is beautifully decorated and had an intimate vibe. Staff were very attentive and service was great. Shoutout to our waitress Chandra who treated my boyfriend and I so well! Of course, the food was also delicious. Appetizers: Polpo Grigliato (would recommend): grilled octopus that was so tender and had crispy edges! the green beans, potato, and sauce complemented it very well. I would definitely recommend this. Carpaccio di Salmone (would recommend): long strips of salmon in a salmon carpaccio that were so good!! I think everyone around me ordered this too Tagliere di Salumi e Formaggi: the chef's charcuterie! 3 types of meats and cheeses each and a jam on the side! very yummy and would definitely be enjoyed by any charcuterie lover. Salad: Insalata del Settecento (would recommend): was sooo good! my boyfriend and i plowed through this so quickly and we usually don't eat salads LOL the salad is a bit tangy which i really liked Entrees: Gnocchi with Ragu alla Napoletana: red sauce gnocci with 3 different meats in it (i think)! it was very delicious and if you pair it with a pizza, you can eat the leftover sauce on this pasta with the pizza crust! Funghi & Salsiccia: a mushroom and sausage pizza! delicious and not overly filling, which made it perfect to pair with the pasta in my opinion! i loved the crisp on the crust too Filet Mignon: my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed this and the meat practically melted in my mouth. the mashed potatoes it came with were also good Cocktails: Sakurativo (would recommend): i really liked the bitterness and sweetness in this cocktail! i love yuzu and lemon and it was packed with these flavors. it definitely hid the taste of alcohol more than The Situationship, so if you like cocktails that mask the alcohol then you should definitely go for this! Even my boyfriend got one for himself midway through our meal The Situationship: another bitter cocktail with hints of pineapple that you can definitely taste! you can taste the alcohol a bit more in this one but the salt rim was also a nice touch. my boyfriend really liked it! Dessert: Coppa di Gelato (would recommend): i loved the chocolate and vanilla gelato and the presentation of it! it was so cute and a perfect dessert to finish off the night. I put (would recommend) on the ones I personally REALLY enjoyed but all the food items were delicious and plated beautifully!

Yelp
Settecento is an amazing new Italian restaurant located in downtown Los Angeles! Our table started with the "Polpo Grigliato" and the "Carpacio di Salmone". The octopus in the Polpo dish was beautifully tender and everything in the salmon appetizer paired well. Next we had a salad with seared tuna, which was really refreshing, the balsamic dressing really brought everything in the salad together. For our entrees we had the "Filet Mignon" and the "Gnocchi with Ragu alla Napoletana" along with the "Portobello Grigliato". The Filet was cooked to perfection and the mushroom gravy was amazing, this was the highlight for me. The Gnocchi was also great, as was the Portobello dish. I would recommend all of them for you to try! And lastly for desert we had the "Torta di Frutta" with a cup of espresso. Which was an amazing way to end the meal! Our waiter Victor also did an amazing job and was very attentive with service. Me and my partner just came back from a trip to Milan Italy and everyone at Settecanto has matched or surpassed many of the dishes we had over there. This is definitely a must try spot!

Yelp
Food is mid, it wasn't great and it wasn't bad. 5 dólar soft drinks as well. They add auto gratuity for parties 5 or more (this is normally 6 or more anywhere else) + they add "kitchen gratuity" they also have the nerve to ask if you would like to leave more tip. Never going back to this place.
google avatar

Sonia S.

Yelp
Well rounded place in terms of the vibes, design, and most importantly amazing Italian food! What else could I ask for! Thank you Remus for the amazing service and experience!

Yelp
I'm not sure if the owner is trying to pump up the reviews on here, but given the number of reviews this place has after being open for just a couple of weeks, some red flags should be going off with the Yelp team. Ambiance - They did a great job with the place. The decor and open concept floor plan is much nicer than when Cafe Pinot used to be in this space. Service - The service wasn't memorable, but it wasn't bad either. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Food - Overall, a huge disappointment. Some dishes bordered on inedible. - Most of the dishes were vastly under salted. - The caprese salad was "highly recommended" by our waiter. When I commented to our waiter that it was the middle of winter and I was a little suspicious of having a tomato based dishes served totally out of season, he assured me it would be ripe. No surprise... it was not. Probably the worst dish of the evening. - Salmon was cooked perfectly, but surprisingly, had zero flavor. This was probably due in part to the lack of salt on any of the dishes, but there was also no discernible attempt to season it. - We ordered a Gnocchi with white sauce based off of the waiter's recommendation. Not great. The sauce seemed artificially thick, like way too much flour had been added. Overall, it had a very premade quality about it. I was hoping they would offer an experience similar to Rossoblu, Factory Kitchen, Mona Pasta Bar, etc. However, the closest approximation I can come up with is something reminiscent of Drago, but without a functioning kitchen. So there you have it folks. Take your clients here, but maybe stick with the wine list.

Yelp
Food took literally 95 minutes to come out. No checking on us or apologies in the meantime. Horrendous experience. And charged the full bill amount.

Yelp
We had a super wonderful dinner here on Saturday night! Upon entering this restaurant you are immediately made to feel that you are part of an extended family. Servers greet you warmly as you are escorted through the restaurants' magical setting! Violins hanging from the bar ceiling, pillars made of old books and the most beautiful patio in the city make this a destination I will keep wanting to relive in my mind until the next time I can visit in person! The pizzas were all sublime, and the truffle pasta was decadently delicious! I also loved the complimentary bread basket with several different types of bread, all home made and superb! Dip them in the complimentary olive oil and you're off to an incredible start! I am looking so forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Here's a cleaned-up version of your review: I've been working in the area for over five years and have tried almost all the food options nearby. As a pasta lover and Italian food enthusiast, I admit my review might be a little biased, but this place truly stands out. Not only is it beautifully decorated, but the food and service are exceptional. I visited last Friday and enjoyed their lunch special--a salad and a main dish for $25. The Caprese salad was refreshing and full of flavor, with tomatoes straight from the restaurant's garden. For my main course, I had the Spaghetti Chitarra Amatriciana, which was divine. The freshness of the ingredients and the rich, flavorful tomato sauce were outstanding. The complimentary bread basket was a delightful touch--warm, fresh, and the perfect start to my meal while I waited for my food. I paired everything with the house red wine, which was perfectly balanced--not too dry and not too sweet. My only issue was with the seating policy. I was told I could only sit at the bar since I was dining alone. Later, I noticed other solo diners seated at their own tables, which felt inconsistent. It was a beautiful day, and I would have loved to enjoy their lovely patio seating, especially since I spend most of my day indoors. In a city like LA, where solo dining is common, it felt unnecessary to restrict my seating options, especially since the restaurant wasn't overly busy. That said, the service was impeccable. My waitress was fantastic--her recommendations were spot-on, and her attentive care made the experience memorable. I'm already looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu on future visits!

Chillindrina F.

Yelp
What a beautiful place! Amazing indoor and outdoor setting right next to the Central Library and California Club, and across the street from the U.S. Bank. The service, food, and drinks were spectacular! I loved the Italian music they were playing that added to the ambiance.

Yelp
Phenomenal experience, great addition to the financial district. Food was great, staff was friendly, band was on fire, Decor was tasteful. Highly recommend coming here, Shout out to Alianna and Francesco for making my experience memorable.

Yelp
Excellent service and great food! Everybody greeting us, thank you! Explaining the location and the upcoming service looks so much fun! This location is perfect and the food was delicious! We came for Sunday brunch and it was a good time. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for good food, great location and yummy food!

Yelp
Lavinia was our server and she was very sweet and attentive. This is a newly opened location and everything looks so great. They have live music Tuesday-Thursday nights and the happy hour items are delicious and great price. Would recommend!

Noelle A.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Atmosphere was amazing and the staff was so nice and welcoming. We were sat down at a table towards the back corner, but it was really nice because you got a really good view of the whole restaurant (there's not a bad angle and everything is so interesting: the book columns, the hanging violins, the wall of wine, etc). We ordered the following: Gnocchi: came with a meatball, Italian sausage, gnocchi, and very tender beef. Was delicious and wonderfully seasoned. I can't describe it, but it was a warm and inviting entree that made me feel at home while I was eating. Would order this again! Torta Di Frutta: A delicately sweet end to the meal. It was light, and creamy and the crust was wonderfully light and fluffy! Insalata del Settecento: Adding the tuna was a great choice. Absolutely delicious and light. I loved the dressing they chose and the tuna was perfectly cooked. Carpaccio di Salmone: Was light and fresh. Not fishy at all. I loved the additional greens to the dish. Very great antipasti and would order this again. Polpo Grigliato: An octopus dish that was as delicious as it was interesting. The Octopus came with potatoes, a creamy cheese sauce and greens that altogether made for an amazing experience in the mouth. Would definitely order this again! Also we ordered iced tea, and they brewed it fresh for us which was a pleasant surprise!

Yelp
This restaurant is going to be a one of the LA's culinary hottest spots . Food, service, ambiance, design ... top notch. Very reasonably priced for the type of the restaurant this is. One of the few places in LA with a great outdoor patio which gives it very European flavor. I am looking forward to the official opening this month.

Marian S.

Yelp
Unique restaurant with an European vibe in all aspects, food, drinks and ambiance. Situated by the Downtown Public Library, the interior of the restaurant carries the look of a library. There are hundreds of real books on the walls and musical instruments on the ceiling. A huge garden, is filled with candlelight tables, adding to the romantic aspect of the place. Food is authentic, prepared by Italian chefs from Napoli. The pizza made in the impressive oven in the middle of the kitchen is something to die for. They also prepare pasta right on the spot so everything you eat has a fresh and flavorful taste! Deserts are fabulous, we had the tiramisu, what a treat! Drinks are also very carefully selected and moderately priced. This is a place where you can go every single day without getting tired of the food selection. The location may be a little challenging for the people that are not close by, due to the traffic. But you can park at the nearby Public Library which is really convenient. Once you are there, you will feel fully rewarded by the restaurant offerings! Can't wait to go back!

Brenden R.

Yelp
Really great experience. The space is gorgeous - so much to look at. The eclectic decor is very much eye catching. Customer service is beyond. Our bartender, Eli, went above and beyond to give recommendations, genuinely seemed to enjoy working here and was overall a standout of the dining experience. I also saw her interacting the exact same way with everyone else seated at the bar and watched as other customers also took a second to ask her name, because they had connected so well with her. Had several appetizers and a couple of the entree dishes to share, one of which being the Spaghetti Amatriciana. I'm a bit of a snob with this dish, as I order it at every Italian place I go to in LA. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was great, my one critique...I'm used to the guanciale being rendered until crispy and served that way. Would appreciate the extra texture in the pasta dish. Without said texture, I found the guanciale to get lost in the dish. Otherwise, great choice.

Yelp
Beautiful experience at Settecento. The restaurant itself feels big very open while still feeling intimate which makes it awesome for a dinner with close friends/loved ones/date night. We checked in with our reservation and were sat immediately. Loved that. Chandra helped us throughout the entire night and was super friendly, explaining the whole menu and answering all of our questions. The drinks were on point. Had a few mezcal cocktails (The Firecracker and the Naked and Famous) that were delicious and they had a good selection on wines to choose from. They also made some mocktails that weren't on the menu for people in our group who weren't drinking which was super nice. Fried Octopus...sheeeesh. This was so good we ordered it twice. Cooked perfectly and served with potatoes. Lovely way to start the meal. Insalata del Settecento was a good sized portion and so full of crunch.Really got us excited for the rest of the meal. Someone had ordered it with seared tuna that looked really good so ill definitely be trying that version next time. The Spaghetti alla Chitarra alla Nerano was great. Flavorful and light. (The pasta was al dente for every dish, the consistency was much appreciated). Had both the gnocchi dishes, the bianca and rosa. Really enjoyed the protein that came with each dish. The sausage with the rosa gnocchi was The cannelloni was BOMB. Definitely order that. The filet mignon was exactly what I wanted. Cooked perfectly and served with a mushroom sauce on top. Oooo and the buttery mash potatoes. Beautifully cooked steak and potatoes will never go out of style. The biggest surprise...the braised beef cheek. They knocked it out the park with that one. Was expecting the filet to be the star of the night, but I think this actually took my vote for favorite dish of the night. I think about those cheeks often. Finished off the night with baba napoletano, gelato, torta di frutta and cannolis. All delicious. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Had the most incredible time as Settecento! The pictures don't even do it justice. Walking in felt like a dream, with a huge wall of delectable Italian wines, books, and violins and other instruments delicately hanging from the ceiling. Moody, sexy Italian music and just cozy, alluring vibes all around. But the food- omg the food. My husband and I shared the insalata di farro - SO YUM. Bursting with flavor even though it's vegan! You can taste the quality of all the ingredients and the mint "yogurt" dressing was to die for. Other dishes we loved include the gnocchi dell infanzia and you can't go wrong with any of the pizzas ! Both pizza and pasta made fresh in house. The bread basket served at the beginning is also freshly made in house! So soft and buttery. Also the bartender is the best and made me the most delicious passionfruit lemonade - get this you won't regret it. This is definitely going to be our new go to restaurant before seeing Ahmanson shows!

Yelp
Where do I begin? The service at Settecento was absolutely spectacular. Chandra was so attentive and gave great recommendations, she really knows her stuff! She recommended I get the 700 Mule cocktail and it was delicious! All of the food was made with so much love, and it was AMAZING. For the love of everything that is good- get the beef cheeks. This has to be the best Italian food I've ever had in LA. What a memorable night in a cozy atmosphere. I can't wait to come back. Welcome to the neighborhood, Settecento!

Yelp
The $20 Caprese salad was more of an appetizer. Two small thin slices of tomato and two small slices of cheese. That is not a salad. It was disappointing

Yelp
Unbelievable food and service. Authentic Italian has finally arrived to DTLA. Everything from the pizza to the pasta is handmade. Tastes like 1st generation family italian staples and the vibe and location are one of a kind in the heart of the city. This just skyrocketed to #1. An absolute must go and official go-to. BTW, the cocktails are perfection. I can not say enough great things about this place.

Yelp
Super cute new restaurant, great ambiance but very average food. They just opened so maybe everything isn't in order just yet. I will try it again in a few months. I had the farro salad with veggies, the yoghurt sauce was really good but WAY too much farro barely any veggies. The beef cheek was a little tough. The potato soup was not good. The other items were also just ok. Hope they get it right, it's a really cute spot!

Yelp
What a great experience before going to concert. Gorgeous restaurant, amazing service and a tween friendly menu as well. Really stands out and I am sure we won't be able to get a reservation soon!

Yelp
We had one of our best lunches here! Absolutely INCREDIBLE prefix menu and incredible service by Stefan. We were well taken care of. Everything was wonderful the bread, pasta, soup, dessert all house made and you can really taste the quality. The ambiance is wonderful. A great outdoor spot for genuine Italian dining in DTLA. A MUST TRY!!!!

Yelp
We attended their soft opening and they were very gracious hosts. We got a delicious Napolitano pizza on the house. They really nailed the dough and the flavor profile. We're across the way from here and I anticipate many more visits. Can't wait to try their other stuff. Grazie Mille!

Yelp
I came here for lunch and i was impressed at first by the chic and cozy design of the venue. The food it 10 levels above your average italian restaurant and last but not least Remus took care of our table like a pro, he was on top of everything , food came just in time, the drinks were delicious and beautifully presented, i'll be back !
