"This 36-seat nanobrewery in Falls Church, at a youthful five years old, is already a destination in Northern Virginia. Standby brews include a dry-hopped kolsch and a jalapeno honey ale. A taco stand inside comes from El Tio Tex-Mex. The brand expanded to a 4,000-square-foot taproom and a petite, one-barrel brewhouse in Oakton last fall." - Travis Mitchell, Tierney Plumb

Great beer, great people and great atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Came to Settle Down Easy Brewing on a rainy weekend after looking for newer breweries in the area and reading their origin story on their website. They have a diverse selection of traditional German style beer and some IPA as well as sour varieties. They also have a partnership with the Mexican restaurant next door, so you can get food to enjoy with your beer. I would definitely come back. Thanks!

Had a good first experience! Really enjoyed the cherry limeade sour. Plenty of seating, several tvs including a projector, and they offer a decent amount of free games. They also have live music every Thursday night. Great place for happy hour!

Google
Easy spot. Good beer. Good bands. Nice structure. What more can you ask for? Food? More seating? Wait staff? You could ask. But that's not what this place is. I've been several times and i always enjoy it. The only gripe might by parking. They're is a fair amount but could use more on bigger shows. But I recommend this place happily. Cheers.

Google
This place is set up in a confusing way Menus aren't in the front they are at the side and not placed in a menu listed together. The bar guy with gray hair and glasses was dry not welcoming and it look like a drag to help a new comer. If I could give 00000 stars on customer service I would. The only reason i am giving 1 star goes to having decent beer but if you want a homely place with great customer services with a good menu set up and workers who go out their way to help you and sample beers tell you find the right one GO TO BUNNY MAN BREWERY.

This hidden gem brewery is a must-visit for IPA lovers! Their selection is top-notch, with bold, flavorful brews that hit the spot every time. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect place to unwind. Friendly staff and reasonable prices make it even better. Highly recommend!

Google
Came here on 4/20 for their grilled cheese fest. I loved both the Kolsch and Blonde ale I tried. They had live music and there were a a lot of dead heads there rocking out which was a lot of fun! They also have food from the tex mex place next door. I also will forever patronize places that have rules for noisy people and kids. No one wants their environment ruined by all that. Love it!

We had our wedding Reception here June 27th of 2023. It was absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend it as a wedding venue or simply as a Brewery stop. The space is beautiful with lots of natural light, fun industrial look, and the venue has a unique flow that our guests loved. We had about 110 guests and the size of the venue was perfect for that. Settle Down Brewery also offers food on site with a partnership from El-Trio Tex-Mex Grill. This made catering food very simple, and they are an outstanding restaurant as well! All in all, Frank Kuhns and staff were delightful to work with from start to finish and also serve great beer!

Google
This brewery stands out as one of Virginia's finest! JD and Jimmy made an effort to understand our beer preferences and offered thoughtful recommendations based on your taste. Every beer we tried was perfectly crafted and balanced. The entire space, from the taproom to the restrooms, is kept spotlessly clean. The genuine care they show for both their craft and their customers makes this place truly exceptional.

Yelp
Awesome brewery that's always a good time and a unique selection of beers that varies isn't too IPA heavy like at some places. They have so many enjoyable beers it's hard to choose so I usually try a flight to try several of them. Be sure and try their Scoville Sting or any other variants of their jalapeño beer for a spicy taste you don't get most places. This place can get crowded but they do have a a good number of tables so I've always been able to get a seat and there are also seats at the bar. Service is always really friendly too. This isn't really a sports bar type place so they have a TV with a game on but it might not be your favored team. As if all that wasn't enough, you can get awesome El Tio Tex-Mex food at a stand in the back. Their chips and guacamole or queso or some nachos or tacos go perfectly with some beer. This is the best brewery in the area and I'll come back again.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place. The beer is great. The staff is super friendly and the owners are great people. They have a wide variety of beer so everyone can find something they like. They also offer hard seltzer, cider and wine for folks who don't like or can't have beer. They also have soda and other NA drinks. SDE just recently started having their own food. It's minimal but sufficient. They partner with El Tio Tex Mex restaurant and have a station setup in the brewery where you can get their delicious food. Seriously the tacos, nachos and everything are stellar. SDE cares about community involvement and has worked with a nonprofit I'm part of. They're just great. Stop by for a tasty pint!

Yelp
Nice little brewery with plenty of seating and a view of the "brew works" - I mean you know they are brewing there, you can smell the malt and hops immediately. I love that they have a range of beers and styles. Their Helles Lager and Brown Ale were very solid, no frills, and true to their styles. I am constantly searching for breweries that can do clean, crisp lagers and this is a winner! My husband had a flight and some additional tasters since he loves to venture into the more interesting combinations. Per his feedback, the IPAs were good, not too much hops - good amount of funk and the raspberry wheat was a great summer sipper. I had a taste, and for someone who does not combine fruit with her beer and generally avoids sours, I would have to agree that it was well-balanced. They offer some small food (hot dogs, grilled cheese, chips) but they also have a partnership with El Tio though with a small stand in the brewery offering some small items like chips and salsa, tacos, burritos, etc. and then a larger menu that will be delivered to you from the restaurant just a few shops away in the strip mall. It's a pretty sweet partnership and the carnitas tacos I had were very good - paired well with the cold beers!

Jithu R.

Yelp
Things I liked: The El Tio food stand was great! The huge space Ease of ordering Great customer service Things that could be better: Only sodas and sparkling water as non alcoholic versions. Wish they had carried some NA beers.

Yelp
Fantastic place for beer, wine, food and music! I go weekly and they always deliver. Staff is great and open mics (outside when weather is good) are fantastic! Come to your new best brewery.

Ben H.

Yelp
Attended the Keystone fundraiser and had a fantastic time! The variety of brands available was impressive, especially Konjur - truly outstanding. The cornhole tournament added to the fun atmosphere. Personal favorite? 2cloud9 beer on tap, delicious! Plus, the Mexican food was reasonably priced. A definite recommendation expectantly with the rock bands!!!!

Lee G.

Yelp
Nice place for some beers and tacos. The place has two cashiers inside, one for beer and the other for the local mexican restaurant which provides tacos.

Yelp
First timer .. was visiting VA and searching some local breweries and found this one .. parking was a little crazy . Difficult to get a spot.. Once in , we looked at all local brews ... there were a couple of them which we loved . Tried it and got the best ones. Loved the yooper dew and 2 cloud 9 ! Absolutely awesome . I ordered 4 pack cans but was stunned with the price . They costed about 25$!! Ufff that's expensive. Have been to many many brews but never paid 25$ for a 4 pack. If not for the price, I think this brewery is great . If the price was less , I would have given them a 5

Brian H.

Yelp
First time here and have to say the beer is really good, the service is solid, and there is a lot of space available. While the brewery offers a limited menu, the best and smartest thing I've seen of any brewery is a partnership with a Mexican restaurant next door so you can order food and have it delivered in the brewery pretty quickly. We will definitely be back. Update: added a five star review to Google as well bc the owner is so ridiculously responsive. Looking forward to our next visit back.

Yelp
We came across this place on a few searches so we decided to make a stop on a Saturday afternoon. The place has a pretty good amount of parking and even have a diagram inside of where you can/cannot park but its pretty easy to figure out. They have a nice outdoor patio section and a good amount of tables inside with a few TVs as well. We didn't order any but they had a small El Tio inside if you want to order some Tex-Mex. Beerwise, we got the Razzy and Cobbleberry sours, the Pecan porter, and the Barleywine. Loved the Razzy the most, but the Cobbleberry was pretty close second. Both had a good tanginess to them, but I got more fruit from the Razzy. The Pecan Porter was ok, not a heavy pecan flavor in my opinion but still got mild sweetness. My girlfriend was a big fan of the Barleywine as well. Overall, pretty laid back vibe, staff was pretty nice, and the beers were decent. Seemed like they're pretty welcoming towards kids and they even have a small games corner. I would definitely come back again to watch a game again and hang out.

Yelp
Prior to dinner at 2941 Restaurant with the family, my fiancé and I checked out Settle Down Easy Brewing. On the wall by the door, there was a list of weekly events, including Open Mic Night on Tuesday's, Trivia Night on Wednesday's, and Live Music on Thursday's. We enjoyed live music by Scott Kurt. My fiancé loved the 2 Clouds 9, a New England IPA. It was hazy, citrusy, hoppy, and juicy. My favorites were The Floor is Guava and Haku Haku. The Floor is Guava is a fruited sour that was tropical, fruity, tart, and sour. The Haku Haku is a Japanese Rice Lager that was smooth, honey, wheat, light, and malty.

Yelp
Really nice place to hang out and try a flight. I've been a fan since their open. You can order food from the nearby Mexican restaurant. I'm fact, they sometimes set up a booth inside for ordering. I will definitely be back. I like the concept of having little chips to identify the beers you chose! It's easy to keep track that way.

Cristy R.

Yelp
What a chill place to hangout. The staff was so nice and accommodating, prices reasonable and the suds were great! Loved their kolsch but others were also great. Food comes from the Mexican place next door, which you can order right from Your table. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Pretty large parking lot. Super friendly staff. They color coordinate their beers by colored poker chips which was cute. El Tio Tex-Mex Grill sells food here as a small little quick food business. Not sure if that's all the time but we ordered one Steak taco. They did a double flour tortilla which I wasn't a fan of. The steak had a great smoky flavor and loved the cilantro and onion with it. We ordered a flight of beer [4] 867:5309 Jenny - American Cream Ale - this did not taste like a cream Ale at all. A little lacking in flavor, it was a bit disappointing. Kind of tastes like a super light blonde Ale. Strawberry Blonde - pretty decent Strawberry flavor and kind of tastes a little but like a Strawberry shortcake. Probably the beat out of the 4 flavor wise. With it being a blonde Ale, it was pretty light and refreshing. Rockstar Red - I love red Ales and this was pretty good. Not heavy and easy to drink with an interesting flavor. Probably my 2nd pick! Kiwi In Flight [Hazy IPA] - a light IPA but you really don't get an kiwi at all. A little disappointing as well, kind of tastes like a light flavorless IPA. I love the atmosphere here and hope to come back to try other beers. We did have a taste of the doppelbock that was pretty tasty and the Sweet Scoville Stinger which had a stronger jalapeño smell than taste. There was a slight kick but still pretty good.

Ken F.

Yelp
This is a fun spot. The beer is decent, atmosphere is good, and they have a nice partnership with a local Mexican restaurant that frequently serves food in-house or can be ordered and they'll walk it over. The brewery even makes a lager for the restaurant, which is good. The Sweet Scullville Sting is good and interesting, but the Hull or High Water was very off when I had it.

Matt D.

Yelp
FALLS CHURCH, Va. - Very 3.75 star experience and place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The tacos from neighboring Los Tios, which you can order inside SDE, were fine. One nice upside is you can order from the full Los Tios menu, giving this brewery the equivalent of a full kitchen. The four beers in our flight - the nitro stout, oatmeal stout, juicy IPA and a chili beer - were all perfectly fine. The juicy stout was very grapefruity in flavor. The chili beer had a nice peppery flavor and slight heat. Bottom line: perfectly fine. If we lived in the area we'd go on occasion. We don't, though.

Becky F.

Yelp
It's a local brewery with good beers - I usually like to start with a tasting flight and my husband's favorite that he always gets is the Sweet Scoville Sting. Giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes it is not on tap/runs out and because the parking can be chaotic. But I like that Settle Down Easy FC has tables for bigger groups if you are going with friends, and the ability to order food from El Tio is nice to complement the beer!!

Michael C.

Yelp
Once again Frank & Co blew it out of the park with their Oysterfest! What could be a better way to spend a great Fall afternoon with terrific beer and extremely fresh, and already shucked oysters? I'll tell you what, doing this at SDE, and at a ridiculously affordable cost for great oysters. With seating/standing outside in both front and back (and of course inside), the staff worked overboard to make sure we all had a wonderful time. And new beers on tap, well, icing on the cake, or should I say horseradish on the oyster is the term d'jour. Next up, open mic night on Tuesday.

Christine H.

Yelp
Settle Down Easy brewery is a nice place to watch a local game. I would say the beer is somewhere between a 3 to a 4 so you should probably try a taster before you get a flight blindly. The games seem pretty good and the parking is plenty.

Fallyn G.

Yelp
When you have had a rough day and you don't know what to do, just Settle Down and take it Easy @sdebrewing. Although everything is low key and not operating at full capacity due to COVID19 the atmosphere was very welcoming and the beer was good. A favorite you must try is Jaimos Jam, a fruited IPA according to my husband the beer king.

Anna S.

Yelp
Cannot rave about SDE Falls Church more! Great beer, good vibes, and a wonderful team! Recently had a work event here - Frank and his team made the planning process such a breeze for us! Whether you're swinging by for a beer or looking for a place to hold an event - Definitely suggest this spot!

Adam B.

Yelp
Settle Down Easy has an inviting atmosphere with TVs, board games, and a colorful decor. I got a flight of 4, and here's what I thought: Camp Itsahneepah: I'm all for hazy IPA's and this one had more of a grapefruit flavor than anything, so it had that little bit of bitterness on it. If you're looking for a Tropical flavor IPA, this isn't it. Jaimoe's Jam: I love this just for the name since I'm an Allman Brothers Band fan. This is a juicy strawberry milkshake inspired brew, very smooth. Val's Imperial Scoville Sting: Very low bitterness, rather high on the alcohol. And especially high on the peppery spice. But it also has this malty aspect to it. the combination just didn't work for me. 2 Cloud 9: I thought it was ok, but my expectations were a little bit higher. Really hoppy, with a dry finish. I did like the citrus notes on it, but this isn't a beer I would see myself drinking on a regular basis.

Matt R.

Yelp
My 2nd favorite brewery in the area..and getting better each visit. A super chill atmosphere with live music on weekends, trivia nights and music on weeknights, and the local taco shop provides food options for purchase. The beer is definitely a cut above some of the other places in the area, cough Audacious cough. They have a core of solid IPA's(hazy, New England, West Coast, etc) Hefeweizen, and and they usually have porter/stout on tap. I haven't enjoyed their stouts as much as Aslin, but they are far more tame and easier to approach for more people. Their latest addition of the peach IPA is quite good. Sweeter in style since they use actual peaches and not just yeast/hop strains to give stone fruit characteristics, but it's VERY well made. Perfectly balanced with a softness from the lactose. I personally love the milk sugar IPA b/c of the heavier mouthfeel and softness compared to West Coast bitterness. Highly recommend finding this small brewery and giving them a shot. Easy to get to from 495, as well from inside the beltway.

Yelp
We visited Settle Down Easy Brewing one afternoon - our first visit here. We did tasting flights - and ordered pretty much everything available on the beer menu that day! The use of the color coded poker style chips for the tasting flight boards - is very neat! My tasting flights included: No. 1 Dry Hopped Kolsch (4.75% ABV) (2.75 stars on Untappd) Remington's Run German Pilsner (5.7% ABV) (2.25 stars on Untappd) DuPH (4.65% ABV) (2 stars on Untappd) Saison DE (6.1% ABV) (2.25 stars on Untappd) Sugar Momma Wheat Beer (5.7% ABV) (3.5 stars on Untappd) Keep Them Hoppy v2.0 Session IPA (4.83% ABV) (3.5 stars on Untappd) 2 Cloud 9 New England IPA (7.25% ABV) (4 stars on Untappd) 4 Cloud 18 DIPA (8.2% ABV) (4 stars on Untappd) Hop-Wah Phonic IPA (7.4% ABV) (4 stars on Untappd) Lead the Way Pale Ale (5.8% ABV) (4.25 stars on Untappd) 2 C 9itro New England IPA (7.25% ABV) (3.75 stars on Untappd) Sweet Scoville Sting (6.0 % ABV) (4 stars on Untappd) My favorite ales here are the IPA's - as well as the Sweet Scoville Sting! Nice heat to that ale! Well done, and I can't wait to come back here again - to experience their ales again! #SettleDownEasyBrewing

Yelp
Best restaurant! Such a great place with the best staff. The beer is great (my favorite is the sour, second favorite is the kolsch). They don't serve food but there's a pop up stand where you can order Mexican from El Tio down the street and it's seriously so good. It comes super fast and the El Tio staff is super nice. I love that it's family owned and operated -- the guy behind the bar might be the owner, Frank, who lives nearby or his wife Misty. I hosted a big event (120 people) and they were so amazing-- they went above and beyond to help me plan the best night for my event. But they do that for small things too-- whether you want a place to watch football or host a baby shower-- they'll go out of their way to make sure you and your guests have a great time.

Yelp
My buddy and I ended up here yesterday and really enjoyed the experience. There is ample seating and a good beer selection. I'm a huge DIPA fan and I was happy to see they had one here. It was pretty solid, though not hoppy if you're a fan of a big hop profile beer. The service was great and it was an enjoyable experience overall.

Rich K.

Yelp
Traveling north from NC for a bowl game we stopped for a brew or two. Really good variety of beers. Something for everyone. Will be back if in the area.

Ken S.

Yelp
Wonderful, ever-changing selection of beers alongside their beloved, tried and true fare are available to sample. Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, live music, always something going on at SDE. Highly recommend!

Mary H.

Yelp
Look what just opened up in the neighborhood! I gave them 4 stars because they are new and seem to be working out some kinks. But with the potential to be even better. It was a very pleasant surprise to find a brewery off 29. We only discovered it because we were on our way to dine at El Tio and the parking lot was full, forced us to park further back in the strip of businesses. This space is large and airy. Lots of space for standing but not so many tables. You have to place your orders at the bar. They have tastings which are color coded by poker chips that correlate to the type of beer. I prefer pilsners and the closest to that is their Kolsch, delicious! It's a cute set up. As for food, they have El Tio catering in the back area. Mmmm! tacos! Actually, the prices were better than dining at El Tio. Bar staff was helpful and friendly. We would definitely return!

Wayne C.

Yelp
I love this brewery. Since I became a Falls Church resident I've been here countless times. I've also purchased the beer in kegs to keep in my home bar. These guys know beer. It's made in small batches to keep it fresh and tasty. I haven't had a bad pint yet. What really makes this place cool is the accessibility of the owners. Frank is awesome and explains each of the beers and the stories behind them. Service is top notch from Misty (Frank's wife). If you're a beer nut like me, come here and get yourself an education on what good beer should taste like! Oh-and have a Taco while you're there!

James W.

Yelp
3/5, September 2021. We stopped here with friends for a drinks. It was during their Octoberfest so the place was packed. The service was decent given the crowds and they had a reasonably good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating given the space restrictions of the location. The parking was fairly tight but we managed to find a place without too much trouble. The beer was solid if not exceptional. I would call it well crafted but not in the upper echelon of a very crowded segment. If you find yourself in the area it's worth stopping by.

Andrea W.

Yelp
I have been told about this place before but I've actually never been until tonight. The place is decorated nicely. I love their iron gate that separates the brewery from their bar/dining area. I like the open concept and the fact that you can order tacos from El Tio's right there and eat it with your favorite beer. The bartender, Chip, was very friendly and helpful. We found out later that he's one of the four owners. He gave us a few recommendations. We ended up with a Dunkelweizen, Black Stallion and a jalapeno one. I wasn't a huge fan of the jalapeno but the Dunkelweizen was my favorite! I was very surprised at how creamy and smooth it was. We also got to try the Pomelo Grapefruit Double IPA. It was very aromatic and citrusy. I wasn't a huge fan but I can see how some people could appreciate that taste. The Black Stallion was crisp and you can definitely taste the chocolate (with a kind of coffee hint of flavor, even though I think it doesn't have coffee) and it grew on me by the end of the night but we still liked the Dunkelweizen the most. As I mentioned earlier, the place is owned by four gentlemen and they share their love of brewing. There's so much story behind this place- from the wooden bar, side bars and their name Settle Down Easy. It's such a beautiful story. We had the privilege of getting a tour from their head brewer, Henry and Derrick, and told us a little about the process and gave us a sample of two different types of beer they were brewing. I'm definitely coming back for happy hour and telling my friends all about it. Tacos and beer - YEAH!!! Highly recommend!!!

Brandi H.

Yelp
It was my first time at Settle Down Easy last night and Ive already invited one of my fellow beer-loving friends to come back with me. I love small breweries with great beers and passionate owners!! The staff asked what I typically like and were super helpful in explaining the different beers and helping me choose. I tried the Pomelo Grapefruit and 2 Cloud 9, both IPAs, and I highly recommend even if you dont do IPAs. They were not very hoppy at all so you could actually taste the goodness! SDE also has a taco bar through their partnership with El Tio mexican restaurant. The homemade tortillas were excellent and reminded me of my childhood in Texas. The brewery hosts events, trivia, and live music depending on the night so check out the website and social media. They are also located just inside the beltway, so easily accessible for me. It was an all around great experience and I plan to drop in often. Be sure to ask for a tour and the sweet sweet story behind the name when you visit!

Greg S.

Yelp
Good beer and nice brewery tucked away behind a restaurant with other offices. Came for the Marzen but when I realized it was $26 for a 4 pack I asked what other options there were. They were having a special on the Kolsch ($7 for a 4 pack) since they made too much of it. It was brewed in May and I bought it in October. I was surprised that it was that old for being a brewery but it still tasted good. They gave me a sample of it on tap before I purchased the 4 pack. I would go back and try other beers if they have any on special or at a lower price as it seems like a lot of money for a 4 pack at the $25 range.

Richard L.

Yelp
Settle Down Easy (SDE) Brewing has a great name with great food and decent beer. Having attended a recent Yelp Event at SDE, I had the opportunity to try out some of their beers and grab some solid TexMex via El Tio catering. We got a short backgrounder on the origins of this brewery during this time and some neat background on how their tables/bar/seats came to be (all sourced from a single tree!). Frank was quite frank (no pun intended) that every review left on Yelp is reviewed by their team, and he responds to every single review left on Yelp. Their goal is to ensure that people's opinions are heard and they can then take the feedback to strive and make SDE better (if possible). So let's cut to the chase. For a brewery, we must talk about the beer. Being a stone's throw away from Caboose, I can say SDE's selection of beers and styles reminds me of Caboose. Overall, a broad selection but perhaps not quite deep in any specific style. I tried several of their IPAs (being an IPA man) and their award-winning Scoville Sting. A couple of their IPAs (Hop-Wah Phonic West Coast IPA, and 2 Cloud 9 NEIPA) were good but nothing really stuck out to me about them. This isn't bad, but nothing to scream about. These days the craft beer scene is a crowded field, and having beer that doesn't suck means you're already batting well above the rest. I will say the one banger I had was a grapefruit IPA (unfortunately forgot the name) that was unique and had a good balance of hoppy-ness and grapefruit sour, without being too sour. Now for the award winning Scoville Sting. Honestly I'm not a big fan of peppery beers, to include black pepper or jalapeno peppers or anything of that nature. However, I can appreciate the well-balanced effort with the Scoville Sting. You taste the peppery heat, but it's not overwhelming and the finish does not linger much longer after it goes down. I would absolutely hate a beer where that peppery note lingered and basically tainted anything else you drank or ate (I'd rather take a swig of Corona beer - super faux pas in this day and age of viral pandemics and misinformation about the origins of un-said virus - than drink that type of peppery beer). So, props to SDE for winning Gold at the Best of Craft Beer Awards with the Scoville Sting. Bravo. Now, here is the real kicker for SDE. As is customary in Virginia, all breweries must have some sort of food that accompanies the beer. SDE did its customers right by bringing in their neighbor, El Tio Texmex food, to satiate their customers' cravings for food. I've been a fan of El Tio for quite some time, although I don't go often, but when I do I never feel regrets. The best part about SDE is that they have a quick order station inside the brewery, with an option to have anything else on El Tio's full menu delivered to you in a to-go box. Brilliant. Overall, this is a solid place to go if you're in the area and need a place to chill out and have some food and drinks. I will say I was a bit disappointed to see that the "50% off all beer" when I was there that night, did not apply to the tasters that I ordered. Had I known, I probably would have just gotten two full pours instead of two tasters! TL;DR: A good choice if you're nearby and in search of a craft brewery. A good selection of different beer styles, a few standouts, and probably a few that are more in line with your standard craft brew. All in all, a good pick if you're looking for both good food and good beer.

Yelp
This place is really good. The beers are awesome with a wide range of styles. The best part is that they have partnered with an nearby Mexican restaurant to serve fresh tacos and burritos. Mmmm, Taco Tuesday and a microbrew.

Yelp
I want to review this brewery in two parts: the first for their service and inviting (TOTALLY KID-FRIENDLY) atmosphere, and the second for their actual beer. ________ I am a mom of two, the oldest of whom has autism. As a special needs parent, I don't get to venture out and enjoy too many public outings with my boys -- it's honestly just too difficult, and my son really thrives on routine. However, we had some friends in town with their own kids and all decided to check out Settle Down Easy Brewery after grabbing dinner, and I am so very glad we did. We got a table in the very back, in an attempt to get the kids out of the hustle and bustle of the main room. They had a great time and the parents all enjoyed themselves -- we didn't get a single dirty look, even though we had four little ones in a brewery at 8pm on a Saturday night (something we NEVER do). The kids were excited to see a stack of games at the entrance, and spent like two hours building domino tracks all along the brewing area. My older son didn't play with the little kids: instead, he fixated on the forklift that was parked in the back of the brewery. Now, I think all little boys love machinery, but my ASD kiddo obsesses over them... he spent the majority of our visit just staring longingly at the forklift and going over to inspect it closer before returning to the table. At some point, one of the owners of the brewery walked over. We figured he would say something about my son checking out the forklift or ask us to move... however, he didn't. He stood there and talked to my son, let him check out the machine, and was simply wonderful. My son came back to the table a few minutes later, much happier having gotten his "construction truck" fill, and was an absolute angel for the rest of our time there. I can't really express how much I appreciated such a simple, but meaningful, gesture. By taking a couple of minutes to let my son explore a bit, and being such a kind and understanding person, he not only made our brewery experience incredible but also warmed this autism mom's heart. Our family was able to enjoy a rare night of socializing out -- WITH our kids -- and that meant the world. _____________ Now, on to the most important part of my review: the beer. :) Our group is no stranger to craft beers, and we have pretty high standards. Between all of us, we tried nearly every beer on the menu at SDE, and enjoyed them all. I am personally a big fan of sours and LOVED The Drive Thru (Cherry Limeade). It's a bit more tart and packs more flavor than the average sour, but that was right up my alley. My husband loved the Brunch in Bavaria and the Virginia Creeper, and I didn't hear a single complaint from anyone. We will absolutely be back to SDE, both with our kids and without. Not only are the beers wonderful here, but the atmosphere and people are excellent.

Yelp
New nanobrewery in Falls Church. Great vibe. Cool beertenders. Good selection of craft beer. On Tuesday night there is an open mike with good music. Food (tacos) available from the Mexican restaurant in the same shopping area. Board games available. Parking plentiful in their lot. Best wishes. I know they will be successful if they keep producing such high quality, tasty beer.

Yelp
I came here for Wednesday Night Trivia and it was so much fun! I loved the trivia using Kahoot - It is very convenient, faster, and really fun. They are creative with the questions and topics too! I am not a big fan of beer but their drinks are really good! My boyfriend got the Shandy and it was really tasty and was great if you're not into the darker brews. I got the watermelon seltzer which was really really good! I'm a big fan! It wasn't too sweet and had just enough of a taste that it tasted authentically like watermelon flavor! Good portions too! The staff is super friendly. It was so nice seeing everyone enjoying themselves at Trivia night here, and a lot of loyal locals. I'm definitely swinging by again :D

Yelp
Visited for the 3 year anniversary party. The brewery was easy to find and the staff working was friendly and helpful. The beers were great and they partner with the restaurant next door, El Tio, making it easy to order food.

Yelp
My favorite brewery in Northern VA hands down!! Stumbled across SDEB during phase 2 and entered 1 afternoon to have met Frank, a co-owner of the brewery. He was so friendly and welcoming and walked us through the variety of offerings. I was shocked at the amount of different types of beers he offered plus a home brewed seltzer. His flavor combinations are out of this world and frank will make sure to have a convo with all customers which just adds that at home touch. They regularly are introducing new limited time beers which just makes it better so I have an excuse to come every few weeks along with some classics they keep on tap always. Think you'll get hungry during your visit (don't worry you probably will). They work with El Tio, a Mexican restaurant a few doors down. You can order your food from the brewery and the restaurant will bring it over. I had the quesadilla last week and taste/quality was great!

Yelp
What a fun place! I came here to sample the Scoville Sting, which has jalapeño in it. I was not disappointed. I enjoy spicy food, but I did not know what to expect with a spicy beer. The spice was not overwhelming. In fact, I would say it complimented the food I had from the brewery's neighbor restaurant, El Tio. After I sampled the Scoville Sting, I had a milder beer, a Kolsch. That was a good palate-cleanser. I enjoyed a tour of the facility while I sipped another Scoville Sting. The brewery owner is great to talk to. He can tell you about the equipment and processes they use. I've been to other breweries or distilleries where I got a tour, and I always enjoy the special knowledge and enthusiasm the tour guides provide. This was no exception. Please give them a try. They do events, too!

Yelp
Traveling for work in the area, I've always wanted to stop here. With easy parking lot access, lots of tables for ample seating , and a taco food station in the back we were all ready to "Settle Down". We just so happen to be here on the Women's World Cup Semi Finals playoff, which gave the brewery a pop of character. Bartenders were floating around camping everyone up, and they were super nice about letting you try samples so you had the perfect beer for the game. The big screen projector they used was great, no lag! The beer was also very notable. The hazy Ipa had a perfect amount of citra, haze. The Black Ipa was so exciting to see on the menu, not very common, it was so yummy. It wasn't overly sweet, just the right amount of hops.

Yelp
I learned about this brewery through a Yelp search. On the day that I visited they were celebrating their first year anniversary. They were very crowded and had a live band playing. They have a decent selection of beer. I was slightly disappointed that they did not have any dark beer such as porters or stouts. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the flight that I had. It is primarily a brewery; they do not directly offer food. The did have a small counter operated by a nearby Mexican restaurant. They also have an affinity club. Members get advance notice of the availability of new selections and discounts on purchases. I look forward to going back sometime when they are not quite so busy.

Yelp
One of the better breweries I've found in NOVA...I'm a spoiled west coast girl but this place would actually probably be able to hang with the big boys out west. Great beers, good staff, nice space

Yelp
Update: Originally gave 3 stars, but received a weirdly personal, snarky comment from the brewery. Uncalled for and very unwelcoming. _____ Came here on a Sunday morning with friends. If you arrive before 12:30/1PM, there's no problem with seating. After that, got crowded. And, LOUD. I'm not a fan of most of the brews, but my friends thought they were fine. There's no food, but El Tio's did have a booth serving tacos (no vegetarian ones) and chips with guac and salsa. The chips and salsa were good. I wish they had water with ice, coffee, or some other beverages.

Yelp
This place is great! Each of the beers has been delicious. I also like that you can get half pints - the halfs are in regular size glasses just not filled all the way. The half is often very generous :) The people that work here are also really nice. There are usually a TON of kids running around here. Sort of annoying because it happens at all hours. Just FYI. You also have the option of getting tacos and nachos from El Tio here, which is great.
