"The location is out of the ordinary, as is the philosophy behind the cuisine! Housed in the city's narrowest building, which is still seven storeys high, this stylish and sleek restaurant boasts fantastic views of the River Main through large floor-to-ceiling windows. On the menu: 100% vegan cuisine made from organic produce. Permaculture is the name of the game here, meaning only those regional ingredients that have been produced ecologically and in harmony with nature are used in the dishes. In keeping with this ideology, much of the produce used comes from the restaurant's own local farm. The dining experience lasts about five hours from beginning to end, with the set menu being served to all the guests at the same time. Head chef Ricky Saward provides detailed explanations of the dishes, bringing a performative element to this showcasing of his own philosophy and the resulting elaborate creations. To complement the menu, choose from German wines or house-made alcohol-free beverages. Good to know: It's not easy to get a table here, so book well in advance!" - Michelin Inspector

An Outstanding Culinary Experience – Beyond Fine Dining! From the very moment we stepped into the restaurant, it was clear that we were in for something truly special. The atmosphere was modern and stylish, yet warm and inviting—creating an ambiance where you instantly feel at home. The entire team was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and radiated a passion that made the experience even more memorable. The menu was a true masterpiece of plant-based cuisine: creative, locally sourced, and bursting with flavor. Every ingredient was of the highest quality, prepared with meticulous attention to detail. The beverage pairings were just as impressive—both the wine selection and the non-alcoholic alternatives were thoughtfully curated. The sommelier's storytelling turned every wine and no alcohol drink into an experience, making even unconventional choices intriguing. While, for me only, the 2004 Rheingau Riesling stood out as an absolute highlight and the sparkling aperitif too. The non-alcoholic pairing was nothing short of spectacular—far from simple wine or sparkling substitutes, but rather a selection of handcrafted creations full of depth and complexity. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a sensory journey. A plant based culinary experience that redefines fine dining and stands apart from traditional Michelin-starred establishments. We were absolutely blown away and will definitely be back. An absolute must for every plant based gourmet enthusiast—simply outstanding!

This meal was outstanding. Each plate and paired beverage are carefully thought out, with fresh grown or picked ingredients. Every time a new dish comes out, it is explained thoroughly by the chef in German to the room, or English to your individual table. You’ll see there are only a couple of reservation times each day, because the experience does take a full 4 hours. We were lucky and got on the waitlist the day before, and a space did open up. I’ve read that reservations are usually booked months in advance though, so consider this if you’re planning a trip. Unless you’re dying to try the selected German wines, I would opt for the non-alcoholic pairing (shared between two people to save some money). Each venerate is so creative and tastes match the plates perfectly. Also, water is not included in the meal or beverage pairing, so you’ll have that additional charge. NOTE that the drink pairing does NOT start until the main courses start, so you will be charged for the first glass or two of wine. This was not shared in the moment, so I would ask first when offered a beverage. I was shocked when the bill came, perhaps naively, because of the above few sentences. If you have the money and time to spend, I would 1000% recommend this experience! And pick the chef’s brain with all your questions :)

Incredible experience. The in depth explanations of the head chef are one of a kind. Perfectly catering to English speaking guests. Should easily deserve 2 or 3 Michelin stars instead of the 1 they currently have.

The place is small, kind of cosy but there is really not much space inside, especially in the staircase. The service is great and the waiters were very much attending. The food is overall good and we appreciated the concept of using regional and seasonal ingredients, but there were two major problems leading to this average rating : 1. The food, but especially the broths were simply too salty We are used to go to Michelin-starred restaurant, and we never had such salty food. 2. The wine pairing has to be rethought totally You are serving about 10 dishes and for every dish, 1 glass of wine. This is far too much. At least show the menu that will be served and the wines that will accompany them before to start, so everyone knows what they will get and if they want to skip a glass or two. Also please note that the prices for the menus and the wine pairing were not informed at the beginning of the dinner. For transparency, you should disclose information before dinner starts.

One word: perfection!! We've been there on a Saturday in August. From the very beginning, being greeted with a superb Apéro at the bar, getting to know our host of the evening and a first introduction to the small bunch of other guests, over all those insanely well thought-out and precisely crafted courses, paired with fitting wines (only tasted on sip each) or alcohol-free but no less flavourful alternatives, to chef Ricky's (+ team) warm but professional way of guiding us through this exceptional experience.. thanks you all, and we'll be back.

We had a fantastic, wonderful culinary evening yesterday. We haven't experienced vegan food like this before. It is a new level. We are grateful for the experience and are eager to come back. We were exceptionally pampered, fully informed and sustainably inspired at Seven Swans.

Google
The most intense, flavorful and extraordinary food you can get. Everything is vegan and locally sourced, most of the ingredients are grown in their own meadow. (Many of the guests are not vegan, but they are in search for something outstanding.) There is a single seasonal menu with 7 courses and 2 pre-courses. The chef is a genius -- "plant-based alchemy" may be an apt term for his art, extracting aromas out of trees and flowers, making gels, foams, combining the ancient with the modern in techniques and flavors. Two tips: take the alcohol-free drinks with the menu because you'll never find anything like these unique creations anywhere else (the staff will, on request, happily give you small tasting portions of the wine menu if you have FOMO); and dare to get in contact with the other guests of the small group you're dining with 😁 you may find extraordinary connections.

We really enjoyed the food. But we expected much better dining experience given this is a fine dining restaurant and the a 1-Michelin-star rating. 1. First when we checked in downstairs at the bar, we were greeted by a host on the ground floor who took our coats. He then told us to take the elevator and told us which floor we were going. We stepped out of the elevator (white room) and into this very narrow hallway with two doors on either side. No one was there to greet us or guide us to the table. We were not sure if we were supposed to wait or be greeted by our server. We stood there for 2 minutes and decided to try our luck — we opened one door and realized it was the kitchen which we were promptly told to go to the other side. So we went to the other door which looked like was a dining room and we basically SAT ourselves at a table that we GUESSED was meant for us (there was only a table set for 4 people). We felt super awkward to having to seat ourselves...were we supposed to wait in the hallway or were we supposed to just seat ourselves? This is a fine dining restaurant, surely someone should come and acknowledge us? At the very least tell us where to go? If we had waited we would’ve probably needed to stand there for 5 minutes because it took another 5-8 minutes of us sitting at the table before we were greeted by our server. I certainly did not expect this at a fine dining restaurant. When the server finally arrived, she seemed hurried and disorganized. 2. The seating arrangement was strange - two of us faced the painting while the other two were facing each other on the long end. I did not understand why we could not have been placed on the other side as clearly there was room (even from your Google photos, you had a table for 4 on the left side of the dining room) It made conversations very hard and it was too dark to admire the food or take any sort of decent photos. Two of us were awkwardly staring at the painting by course 5 in between conversations. I did not feel the restaurant considered the guests when deciding on this seating plan. Or worse, it almost felt as if it was intentional to seat us away from the other tables because it’s highly unusual for a restaurant to purposely place two tables along one side of the wall for a party of 4. Have you ever seen a restaurant, let along a fine dining one at that, to offer this arrangement? 3. It was a bit stuffy/hot in the white room — apparently they misplaced the remote and so it was another 20 minutes before they were able to have some ventilation in the room. I felt if we were in the black room it would’ve been a much nicer dining experience. 4. The time between each course was super inconsistent. We waited at least 15-20 minutes from course 3-4 — felt the last couple of courses was quite rushed seeing it was almost 10pm. The creativity and skills behind the food was unquestionable. But if I were to rate the overall dining experience as a whole given the price/value and star-rating, I could not say this was a great experience or worth the value. At the very least, we should be greeted and made to feel welcome and unfortunately we did not feel that. And for 90Euros/pax this was certainly not what I was expecting.

Yelp
4 tables seating a total of 12 guests. 1 chef and 1 sous chef. Masterful! The whole experience was unique and overall delightful! I had the 3-course tasting menu for €69 (quite the deal for this gem). My evening began with two starters, compliments of the chef. A warm mushroom soup and a delicious fresh carrot dish (which included a fresh baby carrot from the private farm of the chef). I also received a variety of bread with fresh butter and olive oil. My first official course was a cauliflower dish with warm, marinated egg (see the picture I posted). A wonderful combination of savory flavors. Secondly, I had the fish for my second course (a small serving of white fish warned over fresh herbs and vegetables). This was probably my favorite dish if the night - a great combination of flavors and textures. Finally, I finished my night with a delicious veal entree. The veal included two preparations - a medium rare filet and a braised hind cheek. The veal had a light drizzle of brown sauce and was played beautifully (see picture). I did not do desert although I probably should have after catching a glimpse of it from the adjacent table. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening with a very talented, local chef. Enjoy!!

Yelp
I love this place. Far from fancy, but Superb in every respect. Fine service, excellent cuisine, good wines, wonderful location. This is a tiny little restaurant on the third floor of one of Frankfurt's most narrow buildings, I was told by friends who knew the place and live in the city. One table by the window affords a wonderful view of the river at night. The all female staff is helpful and somehow gets everything done well in the confines of the three or four table space. And, the chef is gorgeous! Soups are special, so make sure you have at least one. 5 course menu was about 80 Euros - or a bit over $100US per person.
