Maybe had better days
We were honestly a bit disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and the menu sounds promising, but both service and execution fell short.
Service was inattentive and slightly unfriendly — no one checked in during the meal or asked if we enjoyed it, which set the tone.
Food-wise, the green beans with feta, grapes, almonds and mint had potential but were underwhelming: the beans were slightly overcooked, under-seasoned, and lacked freshness. There were too few almonds and grapes, and the mint was barely noticeable. Roasted grapes and chunkier almonds could have added the contrast and sweetness the dish needed.
The chickpeas with fennel had nice flavor components (especially the charred fennel), but the dish overall was under-salted and flat. A touch of chili or brighter herbs would have lifted it.
The triple-cooked fries were well seasoned and tasty, but for “triple cooked” they weren’t quite crunchy enough — still good, but not outstanding.
The pappardelle with ragu was the biggest letdown. The pasta was slightly overcooked, the ragu too tangy and not cooked down enough to develop real depth. The onions were still noticeable, and it lacked the rich, slow-cooked character you’d expect. A reduction with demi-glace or longer simmering would help tremendously.
Overall, it feels like a restaurant that might once have had more precision and edge, but is coasting a bit now. The ideas are good, but the execution and service need tightening. With more attention to seasoning, texture, and hospitality, it could shine again.
They didnt even said good bye. We didnt felt welcomed.
