The 25 Best Restaurants In Paris 2024

"There’s no menu at this excellent Israeli tasting menu restaurant in the 2nd, and there isn’t even a traditional kitchen. The philosophy here, which the staff reminds you of any chance they can, is “hosting friends as family and family as friends.” It’s why you’ll likely be served champagne, whether or not you ordered any, upon taking your seat around the Brazilian granite bar, which is arranged like a boxing ring with the chefs cooking in the center. Dishes are composed in front of you while the chefs explain what you’re getting. It could be an eggplant crème brulée in a tzatziki broth or maybe a watermelon granita with feta ice cream and some pumpkin seeds, fried onions, and mashed melon rind for crunch. Keep it light and go for the five-course lunch or take in a more romantic experience with the candlelight seven-course dinner. " - sara lieberman, lindsey tramuta

Shabour

"The man behind Shabour is Assaf Granit, the high-profile Israeli chef. Already owner of a dozen restaurants in Jerusalem and London, he also presents Israeli TV's version of Kitchen Nightmares. He set his sights on this 17C building in a lively neighbourhood between rue Saint-Denis and rue Montorgueil. Here, we rediscover his trademarks: a lively atmosphere, rough and ready decoration with metal technical ducts visible on the ceiling, subdued lighting... and, of course, generous and surprising creative cuisine replete with Mediterranean influences, whose freshness gives it wings – for example, carrots with slow-cooked egg, tahini foam, salmon eggs and tzimmes, seared mullet in an eastern take on bouillabaisse, or semolina pudding with orange blossom and crème anglaise with pumpkin." - Michelin Inspector

This restaurant is absolutely unique, and the food is amazing: It’s a mix between traditional Israeli food and gastronomic French cuisine, with a warm and festive atmosphere.”" - Jennifer Flowers

Google
Incredible dinner experience- with a 9 course tasting menu. The staff were amazing and their attention to detail is outstanding. The food was beyond delicious- bursts of flavor in every bite. It was one of our top dinners we have ever had. Also, it is entertaining to watch the chefs prepare, cook and add finishing touches to your meal. 10/10 recommend!!!!!!! MUST do!

I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Shabour during my recent visit to Paris, and it was easily one of the most memorable meals of the trip. While many Michelin-starred restaurants shine at dinner, Shabour brings the same level of artistry, passion, and precision to their lunch service — and then some. The food was an elegant and exciting journey, blending bold Middle Eastern flavors with refined French technique. Each dish was a thoughtful creation, beautifully presented and full of depth. The balance between creativity and comfort was spot on — sophisticated, but never pretentious. What truly made the experience stand out was the service, which was flawless from start to finish. A special shoutout to Sean, our server, who was not only incredibly warm and attentive but also deeply knowledgeable and enthusiastic about every dish and pairing. She made us feel genuinely welcome and added a personal touch that made the lunch feel extra special. Shabour is the kind of place where you don’t just eat — you feel taken care of, inspired, and connected to something truly unique. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary experience, even in the middle of the day.

What an incredible dining experience in Paris! The service was exquisite, and the food was absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere was dynamic and fun—we had the chance to chat with several of the chefs and staff, all of whom were warm, welcoming, and highly professional. One of the best Michelin-starred restaurants we’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. Highly recommended!

Me and my boyfriend came here last year for an anniversary dinner and the service was one of the best we had experienced. The made us feel super special and the attention to detail of everything from the food to the atmosphere was incredible. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an immersive experience for dinner! The wine is also amazing.

We had high expectations for this restaurant, and it absolutely delivered. We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the entire experience was unforgettable. Every course was thoughtfully prepared with care and love, beautifully presented, and perfectly paired with the wines. The ambiance of the restaurant is intimate and romantic—ideal for a special occasion. It was everything we hoped for and more. A truly memorable evening in Paris.

We had a tasting meal at Shabour by Asaf Granit, and it was everything we hoped for – and more. There were five of us, and we enjoyed a meticulously crafted Israeli-French menu that was executed beautifully, paired with a rich and well-curated wine selection. Highly recommended.

Google
Exceptional experience from start to finish. This was one of the more memorable Michelin Star experiences I’ve ever had. The restaurant itself is very small and unassuming from the outside. The inside is very intimate and romantic, with every seat centered around the kitchen so you can see the preparation of every dish. Each meal was incredible thoughtful and delicate. A blend of French technique and Israeli cuisine coming together to craft ingredients I’ve rarely had before. I would describe it, but the menu changes constantly so it is worth going multiple times. What really set it over the edge was the service. We didn’t lift a finger and as an N/A drinker I appreciated that they had 3 different N/A wines by the glass. If I could, I would go back annually. Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience!

Yelp
If I could give more stars I would. Top notch elegant service as expected for a restaurant at their level. Very comfortable environment where things are not hectic even though if you are sitting at the chefs table. The service is fast for the kind of place they are which is more suitable for me. You can count on being out of there in 2 hours. The food ... phenomenal! Smart recipes and unique presentations and they provide a bit of history/background with each dish. The menu is not set. The chef will provide you as dishes are prepared. Def try it next time in Paris.

Yelp
Shabour is the brainchild of Israeli Chef Assaf Granit, featuring a menu marrying Middle Eastern influences and French flair I had high expectation but I find that I am NOT enjoying some of the flavors. I think it was me - so it is not for me food wise for me is a three star The amuse-bouche took influence from French mussel éclade and Turkish midye dolma, with a tongue-in-cheek playfulness. The mussel bon bon sat in an oyster shell in a small pool of black rice oil to evoke the rice in the Turkish street food and was topped with an oyster leaf. The bread service was delicious though. came with a rich yogurt dipping sauce. Throughout the night the menu progresses and it was like watching a great show with chef being the director of a great movie. Ambiance is contemporary sexy date night or best friends go out have fun vibe.

Yelp
I've been to Shabour now twice, once for lunch and the other for dinner. Among all my favorite restaurant visits in Paris, Shabour is near the top of the list. Although I think lunch is a much better value, the dinner is equally impressive and more expansive. They also serve different items, such as the wagyu (if you're lucky) which was perfect. I don't mind traditional French food, but if you're looking for a change Shabour might be one of the most special places you can eat at. They blend French technique with Israeli recipes. It's a unique experience not just for France, but in the entire world. I also really appreciate the layout of the restaurant - you get to watch the chefs create everyone's food right in front of you.

Yelp
This was one of my top 10 dining experiences for sure. Truthfully, I don't remember much regarding the food itself (don't get me wrong everything was delicious) but the service and presentation were exceptional and what really stood out. I adored how small the place was. It's just a kitchen in the middle with bar seating circling it. You got to see ever single dish get made and then finished/sauced right in front of you. There is just a pre fixe menu and you just need to tell the chefs if you have any food restrictions. Every single course was delicious. I'm embarrassed to say that my favorite part of the meal was actually the ending. You get some tea biscuits, fruit (plums and apricots), and a big spoon of salted chocolate ganache. They also send you home with a menu of what you ate and some more tea biscuits! I really want to bring my parents here to enjoy the experience.

Yelp
What a treat What a meal Two of us on a rainy Monday night had one of the best Michelin dining experiences of our lives. Headed by Chef Dan and his wonderful crew every dish we had was a HOME RUN!! If you're in Paris, even for a night don't miss this wonderful restaurant.

Yelp
I was very touched by the pride and excitement every member of this team exudes. The voyagette that our taste buds were taken on was between France and Israel. The meal started with an amuse-bouche. Mussels "esclade" style and a chipotle Chou pastry. Next was the Pan-Dan Yosha which was a meticulous presentation of lobster, apple, pear, yuzu gel puffed freekeh and smoked fig topped with pandan power. This was paired with a fascinating wine from New Zealand. This was followed by the Poule Lo Po, chicken liver and foie gras. It was the best I have ever had! It was presented with a sauce of hamoud, celeriac and mustard seeds. The pairing of Sonnenuhr from Germany a perfect match! Next was the Chraime A River, this was a fish dish with red mullet and a toasted brioche topped with pickled fennel. Surprisingly the fish was paired with a Pinot Noir from the US. At this point I was surprised by the next dish with was the Lamb. Keep in mind I don't like lamb and I found this dish to be delicious. Roasted lamb with a Demi-glacé of red wine and date accompanied by potato, carrot and pearl onion. I really enjoyed the Lacoste-Borie from Médoc France. Next was the 1st dessert which I am incapable of fully explaining. It was a combination of black tea génoise, relish, tahini, crystallized mulukiyah, pomegranate flower sorbet topped with a grated cured egg yolk served in an egg shaped bowl. A light and subtly sweet Riesling was offered with this course. As if this was not enough they followed this masterpiece with fresh mandarin oranges, glazed grapes, tahini cookies and two servings of mousse au chocolat with olive oil and sea salt. This meal was and adventure I will not forget!

Yelp
We had a very enjoyable experience at Shabour last night. A journey through their dishes and accompanying stories was fascinating and delicious. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic and obviously enjoy their work. It's hard to say which dish was a favorite because everything was unique and memorable. This is a special place which should be experienced.

Yelp
Simply one of the best and most unique meals I've ever had. Their ability to perfectly mix and tease the influence of French and Israeli food, also bringing in many flavors from other cultures, was truly superb. We also got the wine tasting, and the Sommelier did an amazing job of picking international wines to go with every dish they brought out. It was the highest level of fine dining, in that it felt perfectly executed and top-tier, while the service was never even 1 small bit stuffy - a very casual atmosphere where the people seemed to love what they do. This is a must for anyone visiting Paris, get reservations!

Yelp
If you like pretentious over priced dinner theater this is the place to go. The wait staff has to give you a dissertation on every dish and wine pore. You have no options to choose from. Only a pre fixe menu which you have no idea what it'll be from day to day. Can't even describe the food. Israeli French fusion of some sort. Of the eight courses we had I could only stomach three of them. The rest I gagged down a bite or two. It's a beautiful restaurant with only counter seating all around a central kitchen with several chefs preparing the food in front of you. The plating was impeccable. Too bad the food wasn't. There was three of us and with the wine pairing came to over 650 euros. Save your money!

Yelp
Wow, this place is fantastic! We had an amazing experience having lunch here. The staff were great, the whole approach of blending Israeli "street food" and French classic cuisine was magical. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I struggled, 4 or 5? 4 or 5? FOUR OR FIVE?!?! I'm saying 4.5 rounded up. What a great meal, I love dining experiences like this - where you show up and there is no menu and you eat what they feed you. As someone with a food allergy, this can be very scary. When you book the reservation you tell them any allergies or preferences you have. I listed my allergy. Day of our reservation I get a somewhat frantic email saying we've been trying to get ahold of you, but can't, we're worried we can accommodate your allergy. I was gutted!! I called immediately and spoke with the manager. Discussed my allergy at length. She got with the chef, and then called me back and we were good to go. Whew. Came in and the vibe was great. The seating is all a counter where you watch the chefs finalize the cook and do the plating for the dishes. We went on a 6 course journey through Israeli fusion food! It was amazing and delicious. My husband and I got it with the wine pairing and it was perfectly paired. As one point, as I was heading to the bathroom, the head chef happened to be walking by and asked if I want a shot. Uhhhh yeaaaa! So I took a shot with the jefe while waiting to use the facilities! My only small small thing was that a lot of the dishes were cold (intentionally) or just warm. I prefer most of my meals to be hot hot. But I think with the set up of the meal I just happened to be on a day where a lot of the stuff is intended to be not hot. Oh well, we absolutely plan on returning when the menu changes!

Yelp
By far the most creative well executed meal we have had so far in Paris in many years. The flavors were clear and balanced. The langoustine dish in a clear consommé of roasted vegetables was amazing. The combination of beets and lobster was outstanding . We had wonderful wines from both Greece and Italy. The restaurant had a wonderful energy with the entire staff working as a team.

Yelp
What can I say? It was amazing. Don't go to Shabour only for a meal, go there for an experience which will delight all the senses. I happened upon Shabour by chance while walking through Montorgueil. I could tell that it was special. By luck, I was able to get a place at the counter two nights later. I had the tasting menu which they tailored to my preferences. Every one of the dishes was delicious and I enjoyed watching the staff prepare them. Too many to remember but Special highlights were the oysters, lamb and dessert... which was like a mousse with olive oil and salt. Hey, I wasn't sure either until I tried it. Which brings me to the staff... every one that I had contact with was friendly and was genuinely interested in making the experience memorable. Thank you Dan, Pauline, Josephine, Charlotte, Louis and Maïa. There are so many options in Paris but if you want to treat yourself to one special night, Shabour would be my choice.

Yelp
One of the most memorable dinners I've ever had! The food is outstanding. Some of the most inventive dishes I have ever tried. The spices and flavors are out of this world. Unique use of spices that I have not experienced in other restaurants. We loved the lobster, scallops, venison and pigeon dishes the most. The home made breads and dipping sauces are heavenly. We did the wine pairing and I highly recommend that. The sommelier chose wines from around the world and exposed us to some gems that we have never heard of. Many of the wines were a great surprise. Beyond the food and wine the atmosphere is warm, cozy and inviting. The staff are all so kind and make you feel at home. They engage with you in a very sweet and friendly manner and you feel so comfortable in this amazing restaurant. We were lucky the chef was there last night and his story for starting this world class restaurant warms your heart. Next time in Paris we will for sure return and I am telling everyone I know traveling here this year it can't be missed.
