Shabro’s All-You-Can-Eat Hot Pots Arrive In Frisco Next Month | Eater Dallas

"Known for its spicy, simmering all-you-can-eat hot pots, Shabro — which opened in Carrollton in 2018 — will open a second location at 9144 Prestmont Place, Suite 200 in Frisco. It quickly developed a devoted hot-pot following thanks to perfectly spiced broths and an all-you-can-eat meat buffet. Diners start by choosing a soup base — miso, seafood, chicken, and traditional Chinese huo guo broth — then select from meats including prime beef chuck, boneless short rib, chicken breast, lamb, and pork belly; there’s also a salad bar with plenty of veggies and other accoutrements to add to the simmering pot. Dinner all-you-can-eat runs under $25, though the restaurant charges a $6 fee for each plate of uneaten leftovers. Its Instagram indicates the Frisco location will debut in February, and Eater has reached out for the official opening date." - Amy McCarthy

First time here with family, the restaurant is so huge & have a very good ambience. We've greeted by the employee, her name is Sue! She's very great and very professional on how to handle customers. The food, itself, is great! I love the pancakes, bulgogi & side dishes. Everything is remarkable!! They have a hotpot on the 2nd floor, but we didn't go, because it's still summer time in here, we might try it at other times then. Love love the service!! Great experience! Thank you Sue!

This place has two floors. The first floor serves korean dishes while 2nd floor is dedicated to shabu shabu. We chose to dine on first floor. Our orders were - spicy pork and dried fish ssam bap and both were much better quality and taste than we expected. If you are gen x Korean who grew up with Korean country side food give this place a try. Absolutely love the mild seasoning. Brought back so many fond memories. Definitely coming back to try other menu items.

WOW! I saw the $9.95 Lunch Social sign outside and was lured in. Sue greeted and sat me immediately, explaining the lunch special. Food came out fast. I got the doenjiang (soybean stew) on the menu, it came with all the pictured banchan which were fresh and flavorful. Good service and good food can be hard to come by these days and both are front and center at Shabro. I will absolutely be back with friends!

My first experience with Hot Pot. Since I arrived with someone familiar with this establishment we went to the second floor. I loved the bold decor! It was a fun and great experience for me to choose the vegetables that I desired in my hot pot. Customer service was great! We were greeted and asked where we would like to right away The waitress also asked if this was our first time here. My guest did not speak loud enough so she explained the meat choices and how the food was to go in the pot. My guest piped up and insisted that she be the one to show me how to regulate the temperature for the Hot Pot. The floor, tables, plates, silverware and buffet area were clean and well maintained. I liked the fresh selection of all the items. The food cooked fast and I enjoyed the flavor. It is all you can eat (cost $26 per person). We had meat treats left over. An additional $5.95 is charged if you want to take left over trays. I would return!

Service is great from everyone. The music selection is... ... really odd. They played a lot of Jelly Roll and some Christmas music, but also uncensored, foul, gangsta rap. Not family friendly at all! Most of the food was good. I recommend the house soup made for HotPot, as both the chicken and cream eye delicious on it. However some of the vegetables had mold growing on them, so it was obviously not fresh. We told the staff and they apologized, but no discount was given for moldy food. Dumpings and corn were really good. $150 for 4 people, including tip.

I wish i could give a 0 star, poor food, poor customer service. Walk in 8:30 on a Sunday night, literally only 2 table is eating. The atmosphere is so depressing in this place with the dark old decor. Then and the old lady who serve us don’t even border to ask what else we wanna eat, we can limit order 3 a time and she never came back to help. She is busy check out something on her computer, i have to go call her cause she was never coming back. All of the all you can eat food at the bar is just frozen with ice on it 🤮 the sauce and the broth was bland without any flavor. My fiance ask for a change of broth cause his taste just like water. Price is just as regular as all the other place 30$ per person.

We went to try hotpot at noon on a Monday. This restaurant divided into two areas, ground floor to serve traditional Korean dishes where the second is dedicated for hotpot. We took the stairs to reach the hotpot area. The second floor was not brightly lit but enough to see everything. All you can eat items were on the side along with sauces and ice cream. Lunch offers four different kinds of meat, two kinds of beef, pork and chicken . They were sliced very thin. All you can eat shrimp and crab were not as fresh as I hoped for. The vegetables were very fresh and the sauces were very tasty.
