The best Asian hot pots in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"One of California’s best-known names for Japanese hot pot deals brings all-you-can-eat shabu shabu to Spring Mountain Road. Shabuya prepares dishes at each table and offers five choices of broth for its hot pots — the house blend, a regular or spicy miso option, tonkotsu created with garlic pork, and sukiyaki featuring a “secret blend of spices.”" - Janna Karel

Food: This was amazing. They have a lot of selection from meats to fish to vegetables to noodles. The appetizers are really really good (especially the stuffed jalapeno). The sushi was great and made perfectly. Service: our server made sure that we have what we need and notify us that we can order more meat and let us know if a certain type of meat was about to run out. He was very professional and very sincere. Overall, this place is great and I'll always come back given the opportunity!

Google
Good service, space and food selections are okay. Not abundant like other places but the quality looks fresh and good. Good appetizers. 5 soup selections.

Wonderful Shabu Shabu restaurant. Wonderful all you can eat in 90 minutes meats and vegetables that you cook yourself at the table. A lot of tasty family or friends fun!

The food is definitely what you make of it. Mine was 5 star. I love the original broth, then I add what I like. Fresh vegetables and seafood. You can make it as spicy or no spice. Add your toppings. Add more seasoning all up to you. 28.99 not bad. Best part the bowls are individual you don't have to share the broth.

Google
Wow, a great experience from the customer service to each piece of food eaten. To start, the pricing is great for all you can eat sushi. Appetizers and proteins. Under 30 bucks for adults. The choice of sushi and Appetizers is plentiful (see pictures of menu). The chicken with volcano sauce was delicious and spicy. They have a huge salad bar with fresh produce like onions. Mushrooms, bok chocolate, etc. Fresh seafood as well. The broth of spicy soy was really tasty. The cuts of meat were super fresh. There is plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall on Decatur and spring mountain. It can be a busy intersection but we got in and out quick and safe at 3:30 pm. This will be my new go to place, before it was Mr Kim's.

Google
Service was great, prompt, very attentive. Meal quality was okay at best to describe, and I got to give them credit, having the tool to cut into paper thin slice. A good array of veggies as well as seafood. Good choices of broth, I chose house special soup, and end up to be very thirsty all the way.

Absolutely delicious! The food at Shabuya was fresh, flavorful, and presented beautifully. From the variety of meats to the fresh vegetables and seafood, there was something for everyone. The broth was also flavorful and added a great base to the entire experience. Francisco, our server, was exceptional. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. His recommendations were spot-on, and he added a personal touch that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Shabuya is a must-visit for anyone looking for a high-quality hot pot experience. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back soon!

Google
During my first visit to this restaurant, I was impressed by the reasonable prices and overall value. The soup, although not tailored to individual tastes, was enjoyable, especially with the added option of infusing it with various seafood flavors. A standout was the hemp rice, which delighted with its taste. On the downside, the meat was of average quality, and the presentation of the vegetables could be improved by serving them in larger, whole pieces. Service efficiency could be better; while the food was promptly served, there was a noticeable delay in taking orders, possibly due to a shortage of staff.

Yelp
10/10 Service was great the moment we walked in. It was our first time and they nicely explained how everything worked. We got the lunch special price which was like $5 cheaper and 2 items less from the regular lunch menu (it didn't make or break it for us for the other 2 items)... there's a bar you can get all your veggies, seafood fixings and sauces. We got the Swai and Karaage appetizer, 1/2 of each salmon rolls, the spicy tuna hand roll and 2 rounds of 3 meats (total of 12 trays between my husband and I). We were SO stuffed and satisfied! We definitely plan on coming back!

Yelp
During my recent visit for a hotpot meal with a friend, I noticed that while the price per person was reasonable, the menu seemed to have been downsized. Many meat choices were no longer available, and the variety of vegetables and buffet items seemed to have decreased. Although they had added more appetizer options, I was personally hoping for a focus on the hotpot experience rather than additional side dishes. Despite this, the service was still excellent, and I hope the restaurant will consider returning some of the items they had removed. I look forward to the possibility of returning in the future.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended and I'm glad we went there! The food was outstanding, as were the selections of vegetables and meats to put into the savory broth. The service was impeccable, and we didn't have to ask much as our server was very attentive. The atmosphere is good too! But the only knock I have is hearing the same three or four songs back-to-back-to-back the entire time we were there...lol
google avatar

Yelp
Great concept in hot pot because everyone at the table gets their own pot of soup. I love the meat choices and still stuck with the most classic beef cut which is prime rib eye & prime flat iron. Just ask the wait staff as they are kind and knowledgeable of what's yummy when it comes to menu selections. Once you've ordered your appetizers and got your broth (tonkatsu is what I highly recommend) it's time to go to the center of the restaurant and select your veggies, seafood, noodles and sauces. Come early and don't get stuck waiting for a table. Parking is easy outside.

Yelp
Shabuya is still a legit place to have shabu shabu that won't break the bank, unlike the Wagyu place down the street. I was craving shabu shabu last night after watching some Japan vlogs and thought why not Shabuya. We joined the wait list right before arriving and were seated immediately. Their menu has slightly changed since we last came and the price has gone up, although by only $2 which is not bad considering inflation. We had everything on the meat menu once and another round of all the beef for me, because I love my protein. I would recommend skipping the spicy tuna with krab krunch hand roll; the fish didn't taste fresh. We also got the kikisui sake and had a pretty good buzz after sharing 1 bottle. I still love Shabuya and will definitely keep coming back.

Yelp
Came here as a last minute idea for lunch special! Quality was top notch as I expect from Shabuya since I frequent Shabuya and Broth in SoCal. The best addition is the sushi options at this location. I was sad to see that the Sushi Carpaccios were discontinued as they were the best options for sushi on the menu. Nonetheless, they have sushi options on this menu, which is different from all their SoCal locations. My only thing about the sushi provided is that they are very rice heavy, so beware of that and be careful to not over order. Service was great and the server came back to check on what we wanted to order multiple times. We had no wait coming in for Lunch on a Monday. The location is super easy to find and there's lots of parking available as well!

Yelp
Food: This spot is pretty comparable to my Go-To Shabu spot, Broth. I enjoy the sushi they offered here, the Shabuya back in CA doesn't offer this. Lunch special is worth it! High quality meats and a self service bar for sauces and toppings. Service: Came in after lunch and was seated right away. Our waiter ordered us meats every-time we ran out. Ambiance: it's big and spacious inside. It's very clean and I enjoy the self service station being clean as well.

Yelp
Great Quality Food. Great price for weekday lunch. $23.99 The place was clean and music was chill type vibe that we enjoy. Our server Alejandro was very pleasant. We will definitely come back. No Free Ice Cream dessert which was a bummer though. But a 5star nevertheless.

Yelp
My sister wanted to go here instead of hot pot. Another form of hot pot, I know. This place is pretty neat, you can get a bunch of dishes that you order such as appetizers or sushi, thinly sliced meats meats and a buffet of seafood, noodles, tofu and vegetables. Some of the items in the buffet area were empty or a bit of a mess but mostly refilled fast. The veggies are all very fresh. You get your choice of broth too. Then it's go go go. But don't order too much because they'll charge you and limited to 1 1/2 hour. Seeing that most of the items cook 30 seconds to 2 mins, the time limit is not a problem. Our waiter was super helpful and charming. He guided us quickly on how many plates of meat we're gonna want to get and he was not wrong. We ordered almost all the beef meats. And vegetable selection was nice especially the cabbage and bok choy. The noodles were great, get the little rice cakes, so chewy. I also enjoyed the seafood, shrimp balls, baby octopus. And really tasty shrimp tofu! We were stuffed by the time we left. The service was excellent and you can tell this place can get popular. Good spot for AYCE shabu shabu.

Yelp
Modern setting Don't recall music playing but thinking it was soft r and b since one of our guests was singing. Lol. Order our broths, got our noodles and fixings at a bar. Meats were served to us upon request.. so was sushi. Pretty cool experience, but you gotta be hungry to go, especially for that price tag per person and all their stipulations.. charges for leftovers and a 90-minute time limit... I don't like being rushed, especially since we had out of country guests we had seen in a long time, and we just wanted to enjoy food and company we had to call staff for refills too soon yea.. good food, mediocre service, big minus for stipulations... Otherwise, nice mini hotpot experience So this gets

Yelp
Popular spot for hotpot, right across the street from Nabe. Very spacious The lunch special is a good deal ($22.99). Service may be a hit or miss depending on the busy nature.

Yelp
It was our first time trying this place and we left with a happy full belly. I put in my name 1 hour ahead of time. I was so happy that there was quite a few selections of sushi rolls and hand rolls. I like to eat more of the seafood and veggies section and my hubby likes to eat all the meats! The only items that were not available were the chicken karage and the jalapeno poppers. I also enjoyed the garlic chili edamame. I saw a lot of little kids taking a lot of the mussels from the buffet section. It's no surprise because the mussels were more plump than usual... We don't usually eat this late around 9pm but, it was because we went to see ENCHANT and got really hungry afterwards. There's also a new bakery that just opened up next door too... Happy Eating!! Cheers!!

Yelp
In all honesty this place was not what I had expected especially after reading the reviews. I went here for my sisters birthday and the food was great there's really no complaints there as you pretty much get to make it your own. Sushi was very yummy and smaller plates were also pretty good. I think what makes or breaks a place is the service and for some reason our server didn't seem happy with us, maybe because we had two small children. It was our first time there and no one explained how it worked. We called over for our server multiple times and he would completely ignore us. I understand being busy and I normally wouldn't say this but he was passing by us multiple times and we called out to him saying "excuse me" but he kept walking. So I just think he could have been more respectful. Really didn't feel super welcome. Ambiance is nice, they kept stacking plates without removing any so yeah but idk if I'll come back.

Yelp
the food was very tasteful, they were really nice to me and my friend explained what they recommended cause it was our first time,

Yelp
Went for lunch on the weekend and they had two options. Went with the cheaper one since we didn't want the lamb. We were seated immediately and the waiter was very attentive. This is hot pot place where each person has individual pots for their broth. I ordered the miso broth and it was tasty. They bring the meats to the table and you get everything else (veggies, noodles, seafood and sauces) at the buffet area. They also have sushi and hot appetizers as part of the all you can eat price.
google avatar

Gustavo A.

Yelp
The reason for the 3 star rating is due to the service. I love coming here, we had a party of 5 but our server was not it. We had to flag him down more then 3 times for refills, to order more meats etc. It wasn't a busy day so I'm not sure where the delay was coming from. The meats, vegetables and salad bar are 4.5/5! They have different flavors for your broth, if you're a spicy or more flavor type of person. The vibe inside is chill, they have a few tvs so you can catch a few games. They also have music jams in the background. It's a good spot overall but I didn't appreciate him asking for 18% tip. After having to chase him down he pulled "it's usually 18% tip for a party of 5"... sorry dude, thats not how tips work. It's not a guaranteed minimum. If the service was there I wouldn't have an issue.

Yelp
This place is hidden gem. And what I mean is it's pretty low key but the sandwiches are awesome. The buns are good too, and coffee. Ya know what it's all good. Place is a hole in the wall and that's how I like it. Service was fast and cordial. 10/10

Yelp
This place is super delicious. The staff are really nice and the food is really good. The unlimited vegetable bar is amazing and all the food is good quality. The meat is really yummy and I would definitely go here again. The place is very clean and plays good music.
google avatar

Yelp
Pricing: friendly price for all you can eat ($26.99). Food: single hotpot style so you can pick your own broth, 9 meat options and some seafood at buffet counter and many sushi rolls options. It will be a lot nicer, if they have ice cream. Parking: the plaza is huge, I have no issue finding a parking spot. Reservation: they do take reservations or join the waiting list on Yelp before you go. Service: they serve pretty fast and there's a 90 minutes limit for dining.

Yelp
This was our first time here visiting from Cali and came here for lunch before heading back. There was no line and got seated right away! The food and the service were excellent! I would definitely recommend this place AND come back again! Thank you!

Yelp
It's pretty cool that this Shabuya location includes the "izakaya" menu in your AYCE dinner price! Sadly they didn't have baby octopus...that's what I go to shabu for... *cry* They had 5 broth options, I went for the original it was good. I'm not a big fan of shabu beef for some reason and usually go for the chicken -- I don't think it's chicken breast at this location and it had a gamey smell.... I'm kind of sensitive. I think I'll stick with the seafood. Always enjoy the vegetable, seafood, sauce and additional topping buffet bar. They have quail eggs! It's an item I did not see in the LA location so I was VERY excited hahaha We tried a few of their izakaya items; shishito peppers and the jalapeno bombs - all were decent, I was just too stuffed to try any of their sushi rolls though...maybe next time. You can order up to 6 plates of meat at a time.

Yelp
Came here for the first time for lunch on a Saturday with two friends. I arrived at around 12:30PM and added our party to their waitlist. We only waited about 15 minutes for a table. There were two menus to choose from: regular or lunch. The lunch menu is slightly cheaper but the variety of meats you get is less than the regular menu. We all decided to go for their lunch menu. On top of meats, there were appetizer and sushi roll items that you could order as well. They also have a "buffet" area where you can grab veggies, mushrooms, noodles, and some seafood (baby octopus, squid, clam, and fish). They also have an area where you can build your own dipping sauce. When you get seated, they will ask you what type of soup you want for your shabu shabu. They have a total of five different soup bases to choose from: house, miso, spicy miso, tonkotsu, and sukiyaki. I decided to go for the spicy miso. We also ordered some edamame and California roll to share. I decided to grab some napa cabbage, oyster mushrooms, scallion fish ball, quail egg, tofu, fish fillet, and udon. For my meats, I got an order of pork belly, pork shoulder, and a few orders of beef toro. The meats were sliced extremely thin and each order only came with 3-4 slices so if you eat a lot of meat, you'll have to keep ordering. There is also a maximum of 6 orders each time the server comes around. Since the meat was sliced so thin, the pork belly barely had any flavor to it. I didn't care for the pork shoulder. My favorite was the beef toro (beef belly). The first two orders I got, the pieces had a nice balance of meat to fat but the last two orders I got was a lot of fat. What I did like was that everyone got their own individual pots. It makes it easier since you can choose which base you want and what items you want to eat. I do like the buffet style for veggies/mushroom/noodles/seafood cause then you can control how much of a portion size you want. What I did not like was that the meat was cut too thin and each order only came with 3-4 slices. They should at least provide like 6-10 slices each order cause they're just wasting time and dishes when we want to order a bunch. The soup base got really salty towards the end since no one came by to offer to give us extra soup. So if your soup is getting low, be sure to ask for extra soup. Overall, the variety is good. The price is pretty good for AYCE shabu + sushi rolls. Service could be better -- they were good at first and then just disappeared after they gave us the check even though we haven't reached our time limit yet. Shabuya wouldn't be my first choice if I wanted AYCE shabu but it's a good alternative if we can't go to my first choice.
google avatar

Jane J.

Yelp
We like this place for the variety of food. It's our go-to place whenever we want to have a decent meal without thinking too hard on what to order. We like the fried fish, fresh vegetables and thin beef slices... Service is good unless you go on a busy weekend when they are overwhelmed.
google avatar

Rowena M.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! It's usually pretty busy each time I've went and for good reason. The price is amazing because it's ALL AYCE (except drinks) None of the multiple menu price gouging. The broths are delicious, the add ins could be a whole meal experience on its own. I love the individual pots, I don't like sharing lol. All the servers are helpful. The tables feel very secure with the embedded induction stoves. The inside is pretty big. This is by no means a super fancy place but if you want good hot pot at a great price, this is the place to go. I will say, if you're in a large, odd numbered group it could be a little hard with seating since they're individual pots. You may have to either share or take an extra separated table to fit your entire party.

Yelp
First time having shabu shabu in Las Vegas. Was a great experience venturing off the strip. We checked in on yelp and waited maybe 10 minutes. For a Friday night we were impressed. The cold food selection and broth were awesome. We took our time and enjoyed everything. The service was great and we liked the option to order sushi on the side. We were so full so we'll definitely try it next time. Happy to hear that there is a Shabuya close to home (Orange County) so we'll be visiting this spot soon. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
This is my second time to Shabuya! The first time was with friends and it was a great experience. I decided to bring my mother here for a Girls Day and it was so nice! The service is always great, the food is amazing and it's just a really nice chill environment to be in. Their "Capri Soju" is basically an adult Caprisun and it's sooooo gooood (I got the Yogurt - it's 10/10). The Tonkotsu broth is A1, my mom got their Miso broth and she loved it! Don't sleep on their appetizers either, both Salmon Sushi rolls are fire!!! and the Soy Glazed chicken Karaage. Definitely a must try place!!!

Yelp
So I've eaten here a couple times in the past month so let's get started. Full disclosure, I went both times as a single diner. Ambiance: Full honesty, not a lot to say about the decor. It's very sleek, clean cut and modern nothing bad but nothing special. You do get your own individual pot here so I like that aspect of it and theres a good amount of seating. Service: This place saved me as I was craving hot pot. I called a little bit before them opening one day and someone picked up and advised me that they take single diners so I went right over. Service was quick both times I went. I was seated pretty quickly and since It wasn't crazy busy I was able to request a booth. The servers were quick and there were never any dishes lingering on my table. They checked up on me fairly regularly. My only negative thing was that I felt like I was being rushed. Both times once I had ordered a good amount, no one had warned of last call and they just brought my check. While I was already full, some diners might appreciate a heads up as a check usually makes someone feel rushed to pay and leave. Food: They have a 90 minute limit and they offer a choice between a regular or a lunch menu. The only difference between them are the meats that are offered. They have a selection of sushi rolls, hand rolls and appetizers to choose from as well as a bar in the middle with a good amount of veggies, noodles, sauces and other additions. I prefer more options for sauces but goma always hits by itself so its okay. Some of the rolls you're even able to do half orders. For appetizers, I ordered takoyaki, edamame, and gyoza. All pretty standard but happy to say everything was brought fresh and the takoyaki surprised me by being pretty good. For rolls, I ordered the japanese lasagna which I am always a sucker for but I was told that it was one of the rolls they couldn't do a half order on. Now to the main event.... HOT POT! I ordered the original house broth. One of my servers said it was their favorite. I will say it basically went with everything. I tried all the meats and I liked the prime cross rib, beef toro and ribeye the most. The meats were always fast to get to the table and regardless of how long it cooked nothing was tough. Overall, its a nice place whether you have a party or are dining alone. It gives you lots of options and for the price point its definitely worth it. I will be returning in the future and I would recommend.

Yelp
It was my first time here and had a great dinner. It's AYCE for $26.99, and you have your own individual hotpot, which I haven't had before. You choose your broth, I went with the Tonkatsu, which was delicious. You order your meats and you get your own noodles, proteins, veggies, sauces, etc. Also included are appetizers and sushi rolls. For appetizers we enjoyed the Soy Glazed Chicken Karaage (crispy in a sweet soy sauce), Gyoza, and Garlic Chili Edamame. We enjoyed all the sushi rolls we had. Great meat selections for hotpot. It's wonderful customizing your own meal with all the choices for your hotpot. Service was good, we were checked on frequently. The restaurant is clean and for as many people making their selections and serving themselves, they are able to keep the area consistently clean. Looking forward to my return visit.

Yelp
This is a perfect place to do an AYCE hotpot. You dont have to share the soup. You can have your own. It was delicious, i enjoy the self service sides. The meat was thin which was easier to eat. Some of the side dishes we got like the chicken and fish fried item was delicious. I recommend the fish one with the creamy white sauce. The meat is super thin and i love it, it doesnt force me to eat a lot more meat and only a small portion. The soup was perfect. Would recommend this place!

Yelp
Food, service, and the ambience are great the whole staff is very professional and very friendly. What we love about this place everybody gets their own broth. Food is plentiful and fresh. Definitely the place to go for shabu
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first time eating Shabuya outside of Hawaii. They have twice as many appetizers including sushi than the Hawaii location. I love the AYCE hotpot with their house broth but tried the spicy miso this time, which was good but saltier. They have a good selection of veggies. We went there around 1400 so it wasn't too busy. Service was good.
google avatar

Ash T.

Yelp
Food is great, meats are tender, love the buffet table and sauces. Music is a chill vibe and the decor is modern and clean. Dropped 2 for service because the night we went, our server wasn't the friendliest and it was nearly impossible to find them and when we tried to ask others for some assistance we were met with attitude. I understand the food service industry can be hectic but I just found it kind of rude. It wasn't only us being ignored either, other tables were practically begging for service. If you decide to eat here, bring your patience or hope for a good day.
google avatar

Yelp
My daughter brought me here for a mother/daughter day and it was amazing. I've always wanted hot pot and this was the BEST!!! The service was wonderful, and the food was amazing!!! We did the lunch buffet. The lychee adult capri sun was amazing. Just saying. This place is a definite new go-to spot. We'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this spot! Personal Shabu Shabu pots, love it! Great assortment of meats. Rib eye, lamb, seafood. You pick your own veggies and sauces from the buffet bar area and it's all you can eat. Tons of side dish options and they even have sushi choices. Definitely one of my favorite Shabu Shabu spots. You can get on the wait-list via Yelp so get on it before you head to the restaurant so you can cut down the wait time.

Yelp
When traveling out of town, I usually try to avoid restaurants I have back home, but I'm glad I gave Shabuya Las Vegas a chance. I was surprised by the abundance of appetizer options included in the AYCE experience. The variety, from sushi, handrolls, shishito peppers to takoyaki and edamame, made the meal even more enjoyable. I wish that the Shabuya in Concord offered the same fantastic choices. The servers were attentive, friendly, and always ready to accommodate any requests. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also noteworthy. I enjoyed my time at Shabuya and would return whenever I find myself in the Las Vegas area and craving a delicious hot pot experience. If you appreciate great service, a clean environment, and an extensive AYCE menu, Shabuya is the place to be!

Yelp
I've been going to Shabuya for quite some time now in Fountain Valley, CA. However, this location is by far more superior than Fountain Valley, CA. The wait times are always short, the place is a lot cleaner, staff is very professional, they even have sushi or other izakaya options (Which Fountain Valley does not offer) and they are always on top of their service! We have been served by Andy and everytime we come to Vegas, he never fails to give us premier customer service!! This man deserves a raise or lead position because he's always on top of it whenever it comes down to ordering more meat, sushi, izakaya, or even providing refills or napkins. His service is by far one of the best I've experienced. I admire his upbeat personality and his genuine personality. He's such a hard worker and it shows! Overall, great experience and best bang for your buck!

Yelp
I went there to treat myself. It wasn't busy because it was around lunch time on a Saturday. I got sited right away. The service was excellent and quick. They have a lot of good options. I was thinking about getting some sushi, but then again, I got full of the toppings I had taken for the soup. I have been going to this hot pot place in LA, but I prefer this one here in LV. I will definitely take my boyfriend here next time.

Yelp
We enjoyed our meal here! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they charged me for my son who is 4 and over the 40 inches but he doesn't eat soup or meat. He literally only eats pizza and French fries but they made me pay for him anyways even when he didn't have a bowl of soup in front of him even cooking! So that was a little bit of a bummer. They charged us $22.99 per adult, which is the lunch price and then it was $9.99 for my 4 year old. The charging of my 4 year old for not eating there is the only reason I may not come back to this place in the future. Beyond that, the food was good. I got the sweet broth, which was a little sweet for me so I'd probably get the miso one or creamy one next time. Unlimited meat and sushi and veggie. You self serve the veggie so that was nice. For meat, you place the order, same for sushi. The sushi was good, nothing crazy, but nice to have the option to balance out the soup. As for the atmosphere, it was very clean, the servers were super nice! But it was a little loud for me. It felt a bit like a party style, which is nice for some people, but I do tend to prefer quieter restaurants esp when I have kids because I don't like having to yell so much at them!!! But I would recommend this place to people if your kids eat soup and noodles. If they don't, then just be prepared to pay the entrance fee of $9.99 if your child is a bit on the taller side! We might come back if my son starts eating soup.

Yelp
So disappointed in how they run their business. This is usual our go-to spot for shabu but on a Saturday, where their business hours say they close at 11pm.. they decided to close the kitchen an hour early because they were slow. We called beforehand to ask when last call is, they said 10:30pm. We drove down 35 min just to tell us they closed their kitchen at 10pm instead. And while I'm already writing this review.. they served us raw karaage chicken the last time. I was in my first trimester being pregnant and luckily everything was ok but regardless, temp your food to make sure it's not raw and offer better customer service. For a better choice, look up Nabe hotpot instead for better service, a much more structured business, a cleaner restaurant, and better quality. It's also only about 5 min away from Shabuya.

Yelp
this place has changed. lunch special used to be a good deal, with thicker cut of meat and sashimi/carpaccio (though limited to one plate per table). now it is a different story with super thin cut of meat that sticks to the plate and rice stuffed hand-rolls replacing the carpaccio. Although the lunch special is $24, the stingy servings of food makes it hard to justify the low price. I would not return. that explains why the place was almost empty at the prime lunch time on a friday.

Yelp
We come here often, about once a month or more and consider ourselves regulars, even if it's a monthly visit. Generally we have good experiences. Why this time we didn't have such a great experience was possibly because of the New Year's Eve dinner rush, but our review is based on the experience. We had 4 adults and 2 children in our party. There was a waitlist, and it was quite long so we waited outside in our car and when we were 3rd in line we entered to make sure we weren't missed. However we were instructed to wait outside the door. Too far and we would lose our place, but not indoors. So the two children under 6 had to wait outside in the very cold windy weather. While we said just the children would be cold, the hostess's firmly told us to make the children freeze outside. When we were finally being seated they asked us to measure the children on the measuring post near the entrance. The two year old toddler was 38" and we made sure to point this out as it is difficult to measure a two year old. Under 40" should be free but as we were rushed out for time, our bill still had a charge for the two year old. He did not have a pot and ate no food. There are many similar restaurants in the area but we chose this one due to better experience in the past. This visit was disappointing.

Yelp
My fiancé and I had passed by this restaurant on a stroll through Chinatown. After a quick look at reviews, we were really intrigued by the ayce personal hot pot and sushi combo which I can't say I've ever tried. We came in for an early dinner around 4pm on a weekday. Plenty of room and empty tables so we were seated immediately. I liked their selection of broths and ended up choosing tonkatsu while my fiancé chose the house special. Their grab your own veggies and seafood area was relatively limited compared to some other places we've been, but had all of the main staples one would expect. I did appreciate that their Napa cabbage had been cut into smaller pieces rather than served in the typical large sheets that would have to be ripped myself. Their appetizers are not something to skip! The potato croquette, soy garlic chicken karaage and takoyaki were delicious! Yes I know that's considered "trap food"....but man I'd do it again. No regrets. The sushi started off strong. The Philadelphia roll was nicely balanced with salmon and cream cheese with not an overwhelming portion of rice. However, we tried two other rolls with salmon and tuna and were disappointed. They had doused the rolls with so much yuzu (?) sauce that the rice had become sticky and soggy. We hadn't even gotten through half of the roll before the pieces started falling apart from being soaked! The meat was pretty good overall. We tried everything but the pork and chicken offerings. We especially enjoyed the flat iron steak finding it super tender with great marbling. Ended up ordering about 9 plates of it!

Yelp
Came here last night for dinner. We've been to one of their Ca locations. When we arrived the place was pretty hopping. We were given a 10 minute wait but got seated in 2. HOWEVER they sat us in a dark corner with a clear view of inside the kitchen and next to a table where the staff sat assemble utensils. My husband asked to move to a more well lit location and she sat us next to the restroom ‍ My husband began to smell the air fresheners they use in the restroom as the men who used the restroom never closed the door and left it wide open which my husband must have closed a dozen times. Now to the food we were sadly informed they had no chicken or chicken Karaag appetizers as they had run out. They did have a bigger selection of appetizers to choose from to include sushi, but we came for the hot pot. This did not disappoint!! Our waiter was great and we left stuffed.

Yelp
Shabuya is still my favorite AYCE hotpot in Vegas, and if you saw the line waiting for opening lunch on the weekend, I think most of Vegas must agree! I like how everyone gets their own little pot at Shabuya so no tries to pull a fast one on me and scoop up whatever I dropped into the soup. They've gone through ups-and-downs with service and staffing, but it's still worth coming here because the food is still best here. There's lunch special (a few dinner meats missing for a few dollars less), or you can get the dinner menu at lunch/dinner. Meat quality is great here, and the "help yourself" part has enough selection on it to keep your meal interesting, fun, and enjoyable. Noticeable yet subtle differences since I moved away from Vegas, like they slice the meat even more thinly now, and vegetables such as kabocha squash and mushrooms are sliced pretty paper thin. That being said, you can have as much as you want! Please make a reservation. You'll be very glad you did. And if you don't have one, check-in on Yelp on your phone as soon as you get there, or they'll direct you to the iPad where you check-in on Yelp. Really great vibe for a fun date, a long catch-up with friends over a slow meal, or big family events.

Yelp
Still a solid place for hot pot. Love the prices and the selection. My only complaint is that it's hard to split up the bill if you come with a big group. Also, I wish there was a bigger selection of different sauces but that's not a deal breaker. Overall, I still love coming here when I'm in town.

Yelp
Came for a girls night and we had an amazing time! Although we weren't able to join the virtual waitlist one person in our party went early to add our names in person. Once in the staff was really quick about bringing out soup bases and meats. They were also very helpful with recommending food and drinks. We got the Soju Capris and everyone thought their flavors were super tasty!! The cold bar were you self serve veggies, noodles, and various seafood was pretty clean. Although they didn't have separate tongs for putting the raw meat into our hot pots our server was super accommodating and brought extra chopsticks. You can also ask for a bowl of rice although not stated on the menu! Our favorites from the Izakaya menu were the soy garlic chicken, Happy Salmon and Japanese lasagna. I wish they had enoki mushrooms and more dessert options. They have popsicles that are an additional charge I think. The music was great and we all agreed it's be a great spot for a date night! (If you really like spice you can ask for their hot drops as well! )

Yelp
Im happy we went here, and im sad we got full. Best AYCE hot pot I've ever had! As a hotpot fanatic, I've been to many. I also make it at home often. But for the price, quality, service, and deliciousness - Shabuya wins hands down. In my opinion, it beats out even the fancy hotpots like haidailao because you get comparable if not better quality for cheaper. For $26.99 per person - the cost performance exceeds expectations. The Vibe: unassuming with a lot of space. You get your own individual pot which is great. The music was rnb, and it was a very casual environment. Service: amazing! Our server was a lovely gentleman who somehow knew what we needed at the right time. Checked in with us every now and then, and he magically knew when we wanted to order more meat. As soon as we sat down, we chose our broth, drinks, and appetizers. When we went to the vegetable and sides bar and came back, our meat was ready to go. 0 wait time for anything. THE FOOD: 1. Veggies and sides bar: It brought joy and happiness to see the unlimited mushrooms, veggies, dumplings, noodles, and variety of mushrooms. So much variety that would be extra expensive to get if you make it at home. 2. The Broth: we got house original and spicy miso. Definitely would recommend both. Absolutely delicious. 3. Sauce Bar: generally Japanese sauce flavor profiles like sesame, ponzu, radish, etc. My boyfriend made a great sauce recipe.... 1 scoop ponzu, 1/4 scoop sesame, a little bit of garlic, and green onion. It was perfectly refreshing and compliments all the veggies and meats. 4. The Appetizers: we got California rolls, and Kanu croquette. Both exceeded expectations. 5. THE MEATS: there were no missed. All good quality slices that come in 3-4 slices so you can try a variety. The outstanding cuts we got were the pork belly, pork shoulder, and top sirloin. But you can't go wrong. All really good quality meats. Constructive Feedback: It would be nice to see tongs for individual buckets of sides to avoid cross contamination specifically for the more raw ingredients like eggs, shrimp, octopus. But that's just my food handling experience background. Everything will be cooked out when you dunk it in broth, so it's very minimal and I'm not too worried. Overall - absolutely amazing (10/10) experience that exceeded expectations. I'm only sad that I got full, and that it's in Vegas (we're from LA). We can't wait to come back the next time we're in Vegas. We left absolutely full, happy, and ready to take a nap

Yelp
Shall always hit the spot for me. I'm the type of person that enjoys soup all year long. The fact that I can pick and choose all of my own soup ingredients in the quantities of my preference is the best. They don't take reservations unless you're booking for a large group, but they do use Yelp waitlist, which is very helpful. I've been here half a dozen times now and, Shabuya never disappoints.

Yelp
Great selection of vegetables and decent selection of seafood, like classic, mussels, squid, some kind of fish, baby octopus and while shrimp. Yeah, the shrimp is small, but that makes it cook faster and have more flavor "per inch." But you didn't come for the vegetables, you came for the meat! It is very, very thin sliced which makes it cook instantly! Kind of hard to tell the difference between the cuts being so thin, but I tend to like the leaner cuts when they are this thin for more meat flavor. Sushi was OK, the soy sauce to dip the meat in was very salty, a bit more than I am used to. The winner for us was the ponzu sauce, which goes with everything. Add some ground radish (daikon) and some green onions, yum. Service was extremely fast, even for a Wed night. You probably aren't bringing someone her for a first date, so who cares about the ambiance. Just eat! If there was a way to give 4 1/2 stars, I would. Sorry, no pics, LOL.
