Delicious viral mango and banana pastry. I love the coconut. A bit overpriced banana really small mango it’s ok not as a real mango for $11.95 it can be a regular mango size but once in a while you can treat your family and yourself. For me one is not enough..service was really fast, bakery super clean.

I don’t usually write reviews, but the pastries I got were so good that I just had to. The pumpkin teriyaki chicken sandwich was the real kicker. The pumpkin’s sweet and the chicken’s savory matched each other so well! I honestly wish there was a bigger size. The goods here are quite unique too. I enjoyed a sweet purple rice bun after. Both were exceptionally delicious. I scarfed down the sandwich, so the picture is only the aftermath before I finished it off.

Absolutely love this bakery! Everything is always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The croissants are perfectly flaky, the sourdough is top-notch, and their seasonal pastries are a must-try. The staff is warm and welcoming, and you can tell they care about quality. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee and a quick bite or picking up something special for a gathering, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Typical Asian bakery. Saw many reviews and high expectations. It came up short. The coffee & pastry is decent. But nothing really stood out. The shelves were NOT fully filled with pastries. The rear seating left much to be desired. PROS 1) inexpensive coffee 2) decent pastry CONS 1) small assortment of pastries 2) cakes a bit on the small side 3) drinks only come in 1 size (16 oz) 4) could not tell if pastries were baked on premise 5) could improve the seating experience

One of the best bakeries in Flushing! There's so much variety, and there are so many unique flavors to try. I've yet to find a pastry or cake that I didn't like - everything is outstanding!

Great bakery offers specialty cakes, bread and pastries. My favorite is the Pork floss taro cake. It's salty on the outside with seaweed and not too sweet inside with 3 layers of cake and 2 thick layers of taro. $13.99 for 4 inches. 8 inches for $45 which is pretty reasonable. Also tried their mango $11.95. Filling inside tastes fresh with mango flavor. Outside is a thin crispy crush. It's tasty but pricey.

Absolutely amazing bakery with mini 4inch cakes perfect for special occasions for small families. Fancily decorated so the small size doesn't feel like you skimped out on a special day, but I do think the price is a little steep for the size. I got the strawberry jam which was so delightful, light and airy with a subtle gooey sweetness from the jam. The Oreo snowbites were an interesting chewy texture, again not too sweet, great with afternoon tea. Will be buying from here regularly.

This is my first time here and it looks so fancy when I went inside. It’s all marbled here and glass caged pastries. The pineapple buns caught my eyes because the style and shape it comes in. This place is definitely a lot smaller and rounder than other places for pineapple buns. They also the roast durian bread! Went to so many bakeries and they barely got durian until I came to Shakalaka Bakery. I love durian so much because of its potent flavor! I know it is an acquired taste that not many people like because they describe it as a stinky fruit. Besides the pastries, I came here with my fellow Yelp Elites and got a matcha green tea cake slice. The cake is chiffon so it is very light and fluffy to the bite. The cake was filled with lots of matcha cream and strawberries we’re not that fresh in my opinion. The strawberries looked like canned berries. Somewhat tart but not shiny or glossy from the outside for my liking. The cake overall was not that strong of a green tea flavor. It was pretty alright.
