"Shake Shack is home to long lines and the burger New Yorkers think is better than a Double Double Animal Style. Whether or not you agree with that assessment, these are certainly the best burgers in Century City, even if they are inside the mall. While it’s fairly hard to go past a Double Shack Burger (with cheese fries if it’s been a truly terrible day), the Chick’n Shack is a close runner-up." - Jess Basser Sanders

Google
For two burgers, 2 fries and two cokes to cost $43, I’d expect the bathrooms not to look like crime scenes. Wondering about how clean the kitchen is… 🤢 *Notice the standard corporate reply. Nothing addressing the actual problem of corporate neglect. Reciting a creed, not making anything right. The burger is mushy, the cheese clogs your arteries. It’s not worth 40 bucks y’all.

Google
The Shack Burger was delicious. It was even better if you ordered double beef patties. However, It doesn't come as a combo. Fries are sold separately. Overall, the food I ordered was fresh, The food service was fast, and a great atmosphere by the outdoor dining and food court area.

Google
First time at a Shake Shack and it was amazing! Great food and excellent customer service. The manager was great and checked on everyone often for refills. Would highly recommend this location!

Google
Well, first of all it is just the best burger ever. Brought our daughters here and you should have seen how wide their eyes got tasting them. I will say, they are not huge, I can see why folks would order a double if hungry. Not as much of a novelty as other pots might be. But I would go for flavour over size and the option is there if you want more. Then there’s the shakes. Crazy good. The chocolate shake is just incredibly full of flavour. Famous for a reason. The sauces make the fries come alive. Then there is the service, we had Maribel bend over backwards to get us a hot spice for our fries (above and beyond) and she was so super friendly too. Great place and a must for us every visit to the states.

Google
Very nice burger joint at the mall food court in Century City! Bacon cheddar burger is the bomb! Chicken sandwich is a chick fila knock off, but well done. Fries are very good and crispy. Their cookies and cream shake is fantastic (with malt). Frozen custard was great. Chicken nuggets were 4 stars out of 5. Recommended. Service was perfect and even the bussing staff was courteous and efficient. Decor is nice, music not too loud and the place was clean and tidy. 5 minute line. Full ADA access. Highly recommended.

Google
Food is expensive and not worth the price. Over $20 for a chicken sandwich, fries and a drink for a fast food joint. Sure it was filling but the portions were tiny for the price. They fries tasted like old grease and were not good. The chicken was good but same issue tasted like grease. Will not come back.

Google
I enjoy eating Shake Shack’s Shackburger. They have Hamburger, Chicken Sandwich, and Hot Dogs. They also have Shakes and Frozen Custard. And I also enjoy the Crinkle Cut Fries. They also have different kinds of drinks like Spring Citrusade, Fifty/Fifty Kiwi Apple Limeade, and Fifty/Fifty Spring Citrusade. They also sometimes do a Special Menu for Every Month. So this is a good place to get a lunch and it is in the Westfield Century City Mall.

Google
Got scammed. Ordered a $12 Korean bbq burger, and it came with TWO ingredients missing. Very average taste, and I heard that their chicken bites suck too. In n out is much better.

Yelp
This review is for Javjer! I walked in with two little ones post movie, and post a terrible time at the Asian restaurant across the way. Javier provided impeccable service, stayed calm while I was ordering completely frantic with a screaming toddler, and even provided color f items to bring down their "moods" almost immediately. ALL WITH AN EXTREMELY HUMBLE AND KIND PERSONA. Seriously, stellar dude! Shout out to you! The food was delicious! Perfectly pressed Shake Shack burgers and absolutely yummy condiments. We sat outside on this gorgeous day and loved it. A nice feel both inside and out. Cheers to impeccable service Yelpers! That's what keeps us coming back for more xx

Yelp
Customer service is extremely bad specially people at front. This is my second time going to this store. I wanted to file a complaint on their website but I don't want waste my time again explaining everything. And I don't want to look like I want a refund or free food again. I will stop going to this place and take my business somewhere else.

Yelp
Shake Shack averages 3 stars?? Nah! Shack Shack is a 5-Star place! Forget my prior review about their wine. Shake Shack is the best burger in the US if you don't want to wait a long time in line at In-n-Out Burger. The SHACK BURGER* is delicous, their FRIES are outstanding, the place is nice, and the service is great! Actually, I've visited this place only twice since before the pandemic. When I visited this place last August, I tried to pay with an e-giftcard that I received. They had a hard time figuring it out. But they were courteous, patient and eventually figured it out. And you say, they are expensive? Yes they are but they are delicious. In addition, you can order thru their APP. So you don't have to wait in line. (YES, THEY HAVE AN APP.) The other eateries that are not this expensive like Habit Burger, they taste bland. And other lower-priced like Burger King and Carl's Jr are so-so. McDonald's Big Mac is bit sweet. I don't care for that. And oh, I also recommend their CHOCOLATE SHAKE. *Although the Shack Burger is called just Burger, it actually has Cheese. In effect, it's practically a Cheeseburger.

Yelp
Today on 5/30/24 at around 12:45pm all the workers were very kind and friendly . The food was good and delivered to our table. We were asked multiple times if we were ok and if we needed anything. Probably the best service I've gotten at shake shack. I usually add names of who was very helpful but today I'd like to say the whole crew was helpful at the time I added at the start of my review . Our table was a little dirty but they had anti bacterial wipes so we were able to clean our table. Not a big deal for me if I have to clean my table. Nice having an attentive staff. Good food and good service 5/5

Yelp
Always been a fan of Shake Shack ever since its early days. They've gradually expanded their menu items over years, but sadly their prices have increased a whole lot as well. This location is one of the better ones, being in the cluster of dining areas in the Century City mall, with the option to place your order with a staff member or at a kiosk to make sure the line keeps moving.

Yonnie C.

Yelp
Came by here to grab a quick bite to eat, got 2 hot dogs with cheese. Tastes legit and better with melted cheese on top. Order at kiosk and they deliver the meal to you at a table.

Noe C.

Yelp
Shake Shack is a chain burger shop all over the United States. This one was located in the Westfield Century City Mall and is very modern with seating inside and outside the store. There's lots to do nearby since it's at a mall and they have a restroom. They have a water filling area. The table was weirdly sticky. You order from a screen, so not much service besides getting your food. Overall, ambiance and service are average. Burgers We ordered the double shack burger, the shack burger, and the shroom burger plus fries. They were about $7-$10 and $4-$5 for the fries. The patties were really juicy and the buns were very soft. The sauce isn't too flavorful and you have to ask for onions. The shroom burger is made with mushrooms and was pretty good. The fries were good but we wish they were slightly crunchier. Overall, the burgers were good but just a bit expensive for what you get. Overall The ambiance: 4/5 The burgers: 4/5 The price: $$

Yelp
We ordered a double shake shake burger, fries and a Korean chicken sandwich lettuce wrapped with avocado and sweet peppers. Burger was okay as were the fries, but BIG issues with the chicken sandwich!!! It was literally the size of a chicken strip, but I could see where they cut the breast in half and shorted me! 1 slice of avocado for $250!?!? No slaw and 2 sweet peppers. This was terrible, our 1st and last time going here!

Taheera C.

Yelp
Really good and fresh food. On the pricey side, really adds up just for 1 person and especially when you are a group, the price is a little shocking lol for a fast food joint. It is great tho and def an upgrade from the other gross fast food places. The fried chicken sandwich is underrated, classic shack burger and fries, delish. The Korean bbq fries are fire. The wait was soooo long tho and is messy like other reviewers mentioned.

Brooke M.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this location. The service was friendly and ambiance clean and casual. After the long 3 hour movie of Oppenheimer which was amazing btw I was so hungry and wanted something quick. I ordered the Roadside protein style and it was delicious. Not sure why they charge an extra $1 for lettuce wrap when you're saving them on the bread? Regardless the meat and burger was fresh and delicious.

Lawrence A.

Yelp
We visited this mall to see and fun at the Meg2 display photo opportunity in front of the AMC theater, we got hungry And saw this Shake Shack, I ordered a double burger with fries and Large Soda. The Double Burger was overcooked and a bit dry, fries was ok, their Large Soda is about 12 to 15oz (a Small in other eateries.) they said they offer free refills, the soda fountain is behind the counter so you would have to ask them for the refill), the service crew were friendly and helpful, the dining area was clean and well kept. They have a kiosk where a customer can place their their order and pay for it.

Chris H.

Yelp
Second time coming to this location and both times the lettuce was wilted and slimy. Tomato was miniscule and patty's were bland. I don't know if it's just this location or if Shake Shack in general has fallen off when it comes to quality. Even the size of the burgers seemed to have shrunk. At the price they are charging, I don't find myself coming back to this location or craving Shake Shack in general. What a shame because they used to be so good!

Steven L.

Yelp
Quick service and no complaints from this Shake Shack location. The staff are super friendly too. Only con to this place is dealing with Century City parking and no validation for parking. I wish all the food spots validated. Not a lot of seating inside but there's some spots outside and inside the main food hall area.

Moni O.

Yelp
Wait! Why does this location have such a low score?! Came on a Monday afternoon after a meeting and decided to have a midday dinner and a show at AMC lol. My girl Brooklyn at the register was so sweet. Great customer service. It took about 10mins to get my food which was perfectly timed with the trailers. Food was hot n fresh and typical of Shake Shack. Added a lil can of wine to really elevate the experience lol. Brooklyn even checked in on my way out and helped me address a minor concern i had. 10/10. Will be back and def recommend coming midday. I didn't have to wait in line at all and that matters. I know a huge concern has been the wait times but in general avoid the mall and this shake shack at all costs on the weekend, otherwise it's a chill great vibe.

Tara S.

Yelp
We were so excited find one of our fave spots at a new mall for us. However, it didn't hold up. Everything at this location costs extra. We had to use a kiosk to order. They asked for a tip. For 6 of us to eat was over 100 dollars! So not worth it. Food took over 40 minutes to get! Very few spots to sit and wait. Half of it was blocked off. The shakes, which should have been the highlight of our lunch, were a disappointment. They tasted ok, but were extra pricey. On top of that, whipped cream is extra! The whole area is busy and not calming at all. Won't be back. Bummer since I really like the burgers.

Laurie F.

Yelp
So there's a very big debate about what constitutes a fantastic burger experience. Shake Shack in CC has 3 components down pat. They have really tasty burgers, great fries and amazing shakes. It always leaves me satisfied and looking forward to coming back. That's pretty much all you can ask for from a burger.. Enjoy!

Chrissy P.

Yelp
I've only been to one other Shake Shack and I stopped in during a busy day at the Westfield Century City mall, simply out of convenience. I ordered a standard Shack burger, double with just 1 slice of cheese, fries and a Pomegranate Basil Lemonade. The lemonade was divine. I could drink it all day. Fries were just like the frozen ones you mom made as a kid that come the freezer at home. At $3.50 for a small serving - not worth it. Let's talk about the burger. It was by far, the driest and most flavorless burger patty I've ever tasted. The only thing it had going for it was the fresh lettuce, tomato and onion. It had a tiny bit of their special sauce but not enough to moisten the burger or add any taste. I added ketchup thinking it would help but sadly, no. This was a tremendous disappointment for a $10 burger. After this, my second try at a Shake Shack - I can definitely say I'd never go back. Overpriced and underwhelming. You can get a better tasting burger at the place with the Golden Arches.

Alonso C.

Yelp
They're pretty quick to make the food and the place is relatively clean. There's nothing special about the food though.

Emily K.

Yelp
Great location for foot traffic and good food :) the ordering process is super easy and you can even order on the kiosk. They text you the info about your upcoming food pick up. They're very fast and convenient with their food lines. Great service, no complaints here. I love their cheese fries!

Michael S.

Yelp
Food is decent. Like other Shake Shakes but the place is soooooo dirty, the tables aren't cleaned, the floor is littered with garbage , tables are super messy, cups and trash on the ground. Odd cause it seems like they have enough people working here. I was here a few months ago and they had someone standing there cleaning tables at all times, guess they downsized.

Savannah A.

Yelp
Food was way over salted and overpriced. We paid $20 for over seasoned chicken strips and fries this included a small Coke for $3.00.

Sen K.

Yelp
Had a mobile order ready and everyone at the counter ignored me while I was waiting to get assistance. Food is fine though, typical Shake Shack.

Sophia S.

Yelp
Great place to eat a healthy burger. Fancy environment. The only minus is that restaurant located in the mall. I personally don't like big noisy malls hectic energy but the restaurant itself does not have it. It's nice calm shic atmosphere and staff is very friendly.

Yesenia N.

Yelp
Shake Shack is very popular location at century mall it was fully packed. They have self pay kiosk next to main registers for those paying card only. If you paying cash you pay at the register. Customer service was not friendly or helpful with recommendations. I ended up with a basic hot dog packed in a trolls bag. I must say the trolls bag is super cute I definitely kept as a collectible. I ordered a vanilla shake I do not recommend it wasn't very frozen or cold I ended up throwing in the trash. The hot dog was delicious and tasty. Overall not a bad experience definitely open to give it another chance. The staff must of been burned out from the constant crowd.

Yu C.

Yelp
Typical mall food -- not quite fast food as orders can take 10-20 minutes or more, and if you go at a busy time, there can be a long line just to order. Not quite sit down as the food quality is not what you'd expect at a traditional burger restaurant. For the price point, there are better burgers places around town, but if you're browsing around the mall and want a non-chicken burger, this is kind of the default place to go. I love their shakes though, so at least they have that going for them!

Gloria H.

Yelp
The portobello mushroom burger from Shake Shack is a true hidden gem. It's like they took a classic favorite and elevated it to new heights, all while keeping it under wraps. The grilled mushroom had a depth of flavor that was elevated by the perfect seasoning, and the texture was satisfyingly meaty, making it a fantastic meatless alternative. And let's not forget the cheese, it was like the secret ingredient that made the whole thing come together. It was a burger worthy of a Michelin star, and yet, it's served at a humble Shake Shack.

Kim T.

Yelp
Shake Shack food never disappoints, but this location was subpar comparatively to other locations. Service was fine, mostly because there was one worker who was stellar and made sure everyone was doing okay. The meat was a little bit dry on the Roadside burger, but it was still okay.

Alex K.

Yelp
Ok, location wise is great. Right in the heart of the Westfield Century City dining area. Downfall, it's a cluster fuck. It was so busy, mind you regardless what time it maybe. That's good on their behalf but the whole trying to get you meal was to much. There's only 2 cashier on had. The ordering and picking food was right next to each other which made it pretty crowded. People waiting to order and people waiting to pick up. There was one guy calling out peoples name, but honestly you can't hear anything. Packed with kids running around, shoppers, and so on. Food wise, it's just whatever. You have your burger and chicken sandwich and hot dog. Nothing to fancy. Tip, order ahead of time and pick up.

Mad G.

Yelp
OKAY EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOU DOING RN !. Who ever order Uber eat or whatever I keep getting this same BS ! Missing item from them. I order 4 items " burger , chicken, milkshake and fries. BUT WHERE IS MY FRIES AND SAUCE!. I don't know who ever put something in bag couldn't get the right order right. You should be fired - I'm very upset been happening 3 time !!! I spend 40 buck !. I'm done !!!

Peace N.

Yelp
Why won't this location wrap up To Go food? They plop it in an opened paper tray and put it in an open bag. The food is cold by the time you get it home. Beverly Hills sends their food in covered individual boxes. It's delivered and a hamburger and fries retains some heat. Century City location also never add ketchup, napkins, etc., even though I hit the button.

Monique C.

Yelp
Just your average burger joint. Mall food is the best way to describe it. Practically everyone had click fil a and got the shakes and I see why. My husband and kids enjoyed it so it was that bad. It was packed in there too so they doing something right.

Michael R.

Yelp
The food at this Shake Shack is as good as any location. This 1 review is of their seating. The chairs are designed with a very harsh angle which conveys the malicious intent of making eating here very uncomfortable for diners. These are objectively terrible charis. There are 40+ other dining options at this mall and it's hard to imagine any of them have seating anywhere near as uncomfortable - go elsewhere!

Lainy C.

Yelp
Worst Shake shack I've ever had. How did this place go downhill so much? I'm an OG Madison Square Park Shake Shack fan when they were only in NYC so I was excited when they finally opened up in LA. When this location first opened I thought it was pretty good and even had a half finished 4 star review draft. Today I got a Shack Stack (usually my favorite) and was shocked by how terrible it was. The burger was so crunchy I cut my mouth. The mushroom was over fried and hard crunchy instead instead of nice and crispy, with the taste of old oil. The meat was even harder. It was a thin dry puck that was literally just crispy crunchy pieces in some places because the party was so thin and over cooked. Not much flavor other than the taste of slightly rancid oil drenched fried crunchy stuff. Way overpriced for the quality. Seems like a number of the mall fast food options have gone downhill since covid. Service was also mediocre. There is an employee whose only job is to distribute orders from the kitchen. I told him my name and he said they have it coming. He didn't follow up so clearly it wasn't actually ready, which is fine but when my order came out no one called out my name. He looked at me and just kept walking past me to put it on their pick up shelves. After a bit I decided to check the shelf just in case and saw it was my order.

David Y.

Yelp
Is it tasty? Yes. But is it somewhat overpriced and therefore slightly underwhelming. Also yes. I came to their Century City location eager to try Shake Shack for the first time. I ordered a single ShackBurger, fries, and a strawberry shake. In total, it cost about $17. The burger was excellent, to be sure. But for the price I had really hoped to get more than six or seven bites out of it. The shake was probably the best part of the meal for me. I would say it's worth the money, especially if it's a hot day. I would only go if you're already at the mall and you either can't agree on where to go or you have really picky eaters in your gro

Alyssa P.

Yelp
Food was great, although it's a little pricey. Depending on where you're seated at, you'll have a nice view as you eat! Customer service was great as well but orders should be shouted a bit louder as I waited longer than I should've.

Julia G.

Yelp
Unpopular opinion: Shake Shack is better than In N Out My order is the chicken shack with cheese fries. I've also had their shack burger (good) but the chicken sandwich is like an elevated chick fil a sandwich with fresh crunchy pickles, mayo, and lettuce. The bread is soft and it's my favorite sandwich here. The cheese fries are what make me come back again and again!!! I've tried the nuggets but not as good as Chick fil a - the coating isn't stuck on all the way and will sometimes slide off, not ideal. The shakes are meh and it's not the reason I go here despite the name. I much prefer a shake from Steak n Shake or even Chick fil a. Feels too melted here. A little pricey so can't eat here all the time. Century City location is great with outdoor and indoor seating!

Samuel L.

Yelp
Recently visited this shake shack and overall I have to say it is pretty consistent compared to the other locations around California. The food is better than In n Out to be frank but for the price? Idk if it's worth it over In n Out. It is definitely a bit pricy and probably not double the price of the classic In n Out meal. If you are at the mall tho and need a quick bite, this place definitely can hit that mark. I wouldn't go out of my way for a stop here though.

Connie L.

Yelp
Stopped by on a weekday evening and found the food and service decent, although inconsistent. The wait was longer than expected for places like Shake Shack. I ordered the hamburger, 'Shroom burger, Chick'n bites, and fries. My favorite by far was the 'Shroom burger, it was juicy, crispy, and tasted better than their hamburger. The hamburger and chick'n bites were rather dry and way too salty, over salted. The fries were good but nothing spectacular. My previous experiences at other Shake Shacks were better. Overall, decent but I would probably not return given the other options in or around Century City Mall.

Sandra B.

Yelp
Food is good but this place is disgustingly filthy. Nobody cleans tables or floors, I can't belive the health department have not closed it down if this is how the front of the house looks like, I can't imagine the back. I will never come back here

Steven B.

Yelp
Excellent burger and shake joint located at the Westfield mall in Century City. Three of us went there on Wednesday and had lunch. We got the shack burger, cheeseburger, and mushroom burger combos with fries and drinks. They also have chicken burgers and hot dogs, but really you should come here for the burgers, and next time I will try the avocado bacon burger, which looks great. We got some waters, a punch lemonade, and a chocolate chip shake. The shake was amazing, a bit pricey, but worth it. The lemonade was really good as well. The fries perfect. This place and Eatily are two places to visit if you make it down to Century City. The mall is very crowded, and parking expensive, but the trip was totally worth it.

Chair R.

Yelp
The best chair I've ever sat in. The chair that started it all. Ergonomic support in the hips, back and knees is off the charts, 5/5 stars. Slides out real easy too

Ram K.

Yelp
Good hamburgers. Good staff and great service. I recommend to anyone who is looking for a good burger at the century city food court

Darlene Y.

Yelp
After going to Shake Shack a few times, I do actually quite like it for burgers that are on the nicer side. I really like the SHROOM BURGER with the lettuce bun. Still always love the crinkles fries with the CHEESE. ENJOY!

Lily W.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with any Shack burger. I certainly don't count calories when I indulge with a strawberry or Oreo cookies shake topped with whipped cream! Staff is quick and attentive. Order on shake shack app for prompt pickup.

Nick P.

Yelp
Hands down the best Shake Shack EVER. Hubby and I have had Shake Shack from Long Beach, El Segundo, and Vegas but Shake Shack Century City makes the best burgers. Maybe it's extra fat in the patty but it tastes so deliciously beefy. It blew any fast food burger we've ever had out of the water!

Emily I.

Yelp
Definitely in the tier of elite fast food. Not sure if it's better than In & Out (can you tell I'm a cali girl at heart??) but it is very very good. One of its biggest pros is the sheer variety of items. I get the shake stack (burger & mushroom together) and the cheese fries every time. Also, love that they have a mushroom burger so my vegetarian gf can also be satisfied. Very rare to have that in a fast food burger joint. I got a shake this time (unreal flavor), but definitely try their custards if you are into sweet items at all. Definitely worth it.

Courtney S.

Yelp
The staff here are always friendly and my order is always correct. I love their flavored lemonade beverages. While I do agree it's a bit overpriced for the portions, they are a step above other fast food chains in my opinion.

Shelley P.

Yelp
They were kind enough to reach out and invite me back again so I really appreciated the awesome customer service! That being said, my opinion of Shake Shack didn't change the second time around (nothing against this location, but Shake Shack fundamentally). My friend and I tried the shroom burger and the smokeshack. The smokeshack burger was good but not memorable. We preferred the shroomburger because of the interesting concept and the fried breading tasted really good combined with the cheese and portobello. Both burgers were also super tiny (like the palm of my hand) -- I knew the size of the regular cheeseburgers are small but for the higher price I expected more for the shroom/roadside! To me, there is nothing really bad about the burgers themselves but the value is not there. Also, my friend got the mango passionade because it's supposed to be limited time only, but (we thought maybe because we went in the evening) she said the drink tasted super watered down. Again, really appreciate the customer service but we were not super impressed.

Dean B.

Yelp
Very disappointed. Got the double Shake Shack burger as a lettuce wrap. The grease from the burger soaked through the cardboard box they put it in. Tried to eat the burger but it tasted like it was soaked in a pound of salt for a week, meat basically just a clump of brown stuff, not even a burger. Threw it in the trash after a few bites. The fries were just okay, a little salty but not near as bad as the burger. Spent way too much money on this. Unsatisfied customer, would have taken it back but I walked back to work and didn't have time to go back. Won't eat here again. Yuck. Only positive is that the person that took my order was very polite and nice.
