As a New Yorker visiting a friend in Buckhead, I was excited to introduce them to Shake Shack, a food chain I’ve always enjoyed back home. After a long flight, I was looking forward to a quick, satisfying bite. Unfortunately, this visit turned out to be a huge letdown.
We ordered a veggie burger and a beef burger, both of which were incredibly dry—imagine a cactus in the desert, and you’ll get the idea. Besides patty there was nothing inside.
There wasn’t a single drop of sauce , to salvage the meal. No veggies nothing just a patty The lack of flavor and moisture made it nearly inedible.
To make matters worse, the staff at the counter gave off an unwelcoming vibe, almost as if there was a sense of reverse snobbery. Not wanting to create a scene, we decided to trash the food and move on with our day.
I know Shake Shack is capable of so much better—their burgers are usually juicy, flavorful, and worth every penny. This experience, however, was far from that standard. I hope the franchise takes note and invests in better training for their staff to uphold the brand’s reputation.
This was, without a doubt, the worst $50 I’ve ever spent on a meal. I’d advise others to steer clear of this location until improvements are made.
