I was working at 12th and Market, and was parking at 12th and Sansom... As I walked to my car at the end of my day, I passed a Shake Shack under construction at 12th and Chestnut...What I know about Shake Shack is this... It is owned and operated by Bobby Flay. He starts his employees at $15. an hour...I have NOTHING but respect for this man... The first time I went there, I was a bit disappointed... It was kind of my fault, and I decided to give it another shot, but different this time. When I first go to any eatery, I order items on the menu just the way they are served... The FIRST time... I ordered the Cheese Burger with Shack Sauce. It was served medium. First off, I don't use condiments, and second, I like my burgers well done! I like my Steak medium rare, but ground meat, I like well done. For me, the flavor is in the charr. I decided to try it again, but under my terms... The second time, I ordered a Cheese Burger, well done with extra cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickle, an order of cheese fries... and a beer! This time I WAS NOT disappointed! The Burger was cooked perfect and the extra cheese was well melted. The lettuce was crisp, and the tomatoes fresh! The three slices of pickle were perfect. It was all served on a Martins Potatoe Roll! It was a VERY GOOD BURGER! The cheese fries came with extra cheese. It was a REAL CHEESE sauce, not that fake plastic cheese whiz! I liked that!!! I washed it all down with a cup of Shack Meister® Ale Made just for them by a Brooklyn Brewery... The employees were ALL very helpful and available! I WILL RETURN!
