Shake Shack Oak Lawn

My first time here and the burger was pretty good. However I ordered sauce on the side for the burger and bacon cheese fries and I didn't receive the side of sauce nor the bacon on the fries. The 50/50 mango drink was really tart. It's disappointing to have to check your food before you leave just to make sure you get what you paid for. The customer service was nice but the food prices are insane.

First time trying shake shack and it’s pretty good quality compared to other fast food chains around the area. Burgers feel fresh and have good flavor. It could be a little pricey since everything is sold separately.

Just go to Portillos across the street!!! Portillos is cheaper and the food is better. Bad service. I don’t expect red carpet treatment, but I felt like I was wasting their time by patronizing this establishment. I asked for barbecue sauce….she gave me one with an eye roll. I asked for ketchup….she gave me two of those small rectangular packets with an eye roll. I was given the bottom of the barrel short fries. The veggie burger was dry…..like a drop of the sauce that comes with it. I’m glad I didn’t tip. I usually do tip. $20+ for crappy service and underwhelming food. Just go to Portillo’s!!!!!

Food is small and super overpriced and underwhelming. Paid over 20 bucks for a small burger that was dry. Super greasy fry. The milkshake was great, but for 6 bucks for a small, it was not worth the price. I really wanted to like this place, but even the service sucks. Ordered to go, and they just sit your food on the counter, never calling name or number. Thank goodness it was empty when I went in. It's definitely not worth it.

This location is hands down the one to go too! The workers are outstanding! Quiana is an excellent worker! Not only did she go above and beyond to make sure our order was correct but she got us refills. She made us laugh and her mannerism is OUT OF THIS WORLD! She is the reason this place is on top of things for sure! We will be back soon and will recommend this specific location to all our friends and family!

This is my favorite burger. That says a lot, my favorite food is a burger! The service here is a bit limited, and the restaurant could use some cleaning, but over all it was fine.

Didn't understand what the hype was about. Burger was pretty good but not exceptional. The fry had a lot of oil smelled of overused burnt oil. The restaurant is pretty clean, very luminous. Self-service, stuffs were good and helpful.

I've visited a handful of times and have had a great experience however, the last two times which were in the last month or so, I was disappointed. First we waited for a long time for our food, and it turned out it was sitting somewhere. They offered to remake anything but we had already been there so long, it wasn't as enjoyable. The second time we went we felt the quality of the patties wasn't as fresh. Both times were later in the evening but well before closing time. I hope it was just a hiccup because I love the atmosphere outdoors and shake shack in general.

The staff is cordial and personable. The cleaning could happen more frequently but at least they have a drive thru. Deals via UberEats and the ShakeShack app exist so Google for the latest offer. I can't recommend the lemonade when mixed with other flavors. I do think the truffle dip is a nice option that should hang around all year. For whatever reason they charge for the pepper relish nowadays.

Quick service after self order kiosk. Good smash burgers and best strawberry shake! Ample parking upfront and easy to find location.

I hoped for much more. I just dont see how this place can survive long term. Food is okay. I feel like it's the wow factor because they are new to the Chicago area. Well relatively new that is. Everything was ok but on the pricey side. At least I think anyway. They weren't really busy and couldnt get my order correct. Top it off with some really janky lettuce. I've been here once and will survive my lifetime if I never step foot in here again.

The three star review is because the food was delicious. If the food was not good, this would be a zero star review. I was so excited to try Shake Shack for the first time, and I brought my nephew with me who was also going for the first time. The kiosk was very easy to use except it asked us to take a table number, and then type that number in. Looked around and no table numbers. Stood there for a while and watched the other people standing there looking around, meanwhile a large line was forming behind us. Tried to find a staff person to wave at, but no luck. Finally a very nice lady at a kiosk next to us, found two table numbers that were abandoned on a table and took one and gave one to us. Next was finding a table. It wasn't very busy in there, so there were plenty of tables open, but they were all dirty. One of the first things I noticed was at the floor was also very dirty. We finally picked a small table, and I went and grabbed napkins to clean it up as best I could. The food was delicious. I had the veggie burger and my nephew had a bacon burger and we both loved them. He loved his fries and I loved my cheese fries. I went up to get ketchup for us and discovered that the ketchup dispenser was empty. I waited around a little bit to see if I could catch an employee's eye and finally a young woman was coming back from dropping off a tray at someone's table, and I said to her that the ketchup was empty. Without looking at me she mumbled mmm hmmm and kept walking. I noticed that there were two ketchup packets next to the empty dispenser so I took those back to our table. I proceeded to watch guest after guest walk up, find the ketchup container empty, and tell the same woman it was empty. She gave every person the exact same response. The food was expensive, and I will usually pay it because it is quality. But for that kind of investment, I'd like a clean place to eat with staff that is friendly and attentive.

The place was quite clean and nice. The bathroom had a little bit of an odor but had the necessities. My biggest con is: the cheese fries. The cheese fries was just liquid cheese over the top that barely even got to the bottom of the fries. It was solely just on top. The chicken sandwich was nice but very small. Felt overpriced for subpar unfortunately..

There was a deal where you could get a free Shackburger with any purchase, but you had to order through the app. I couldn't get it to work, so I asked for help. The counter girl tried to help me but it still wouldn't work so she spoke to a manager. The manager came right out and tried several times to make it work, with no success. She then said they would take my order at the counter and that I would not have to pay for it. I said I would pay for fries, but she insisted that the order would be free. The Shackburger and fries were both hot and delicious. That's the kind of customer service that you rarely see anymore. I will continue to patronize the Oak Lawn Shake Shack.

Manager and team had the best attitude and customer service. Food was deli and place was clean. Count me in as a regular.

I'm kind of surprised at the relatively few vegetarian options that Shake Shack offers. That said, the 'Shroom Burger was pretty tasty and a little unique compared to most standard vegetarian alternatives. The fries were rather bland and disappointing, and the shakes were a little too sweet without definitive flavor. Everything is a little pricy for what you get. That said, they offer a reliable, decent quality option, so whenever the urge for a Shake Shack run hits me again, I would return here.

Good afternoon. I came in and ordered a burger and fries and a drink. It was DEAD in there THAT was the ambiance. I came because I wanted to switch it up and get a meaningful meal after my LONG day at the office. Little did I know I would be paying for overpriced food some of which I DIDN'T EVEN GET. I finally got my name called to see that they only gave me a burger. Please tell me who would pay $20 for only a BURGER???? Do you know who I am???? I finally went back to ask for a drink. The back of house person told me I didn't order one?? Please look at the total and tell me that I didn't. Embarrassing to say the least. Terrible service!! Was there on a Sunday afternoon and nobody was in line. I was not able to get anyone to take my order. Employees would walk by the register and wouldn't even make eye contact. I had to just leave. I went to Portillo's across the street. Do not waste your time with this place.

New location opening and it's obvious they are working out the kinks here. Online ordering is not an option yet and this location is not yet available for view on their app. The wait was pretty long even after calling in the order ahead of time. The kiosk for call in orders wasn't very user friendly either. The inside looks clean and modern. I had a double cheeseburger on a GF bun and cheese fries. The burger tasted absolutely delicious. Seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of char. The GF bun was thinner than most, not at all flaky and didn't fall apart. It was also slightly toasted which is so necessary for GF buns. The fries were just okay. A small serving with some undercooked. The burger is surely the star here. No complaints whatsoever. Hopefully they will have ordering on track soon. I plan on visiting often since it is close by.

The burgers my husband and I had were delicious!! We also has regular fries and I had a non dairy chocolate shake. After all it's called the "Shake Shack" for a reason. lol Ambiance was clean; had wet wipes to wipe down the wooden tables. Very good!!!

My partner and I came here on 4/13 for lunch, and they have self ordering kiosks as well as staff available to place your order. One of the reasons why I love Shake Shack is that a lettuce wrap is available on their menu by default as a customization, and I love that they're willing to cater towards many dietary needs. I'm no longer able to have yeast like I used to, so having a lettuce wrap allows me to still enjoy a burger. I also like that they advertise that they don't use any hormones in the chicken etc, so I can appreciate it as a consumer that they source high quality ingredients while also making Shake Shack appeal to more customers. Shake Shack even serves alcohol now. For this meal, we skipped it since it's lunch time, and they were on a skeleton crew and someone would need to come check an ID to confirm your age before you can be served which makes sense. We ended up each doing a lemonade, 1 order of fries, 1 order of chicken bites, a burger and a chicken burger. I enjoyed my chicken burger on a lettuce wrap, the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The only con is trying to eat it without being messy or having things fall out of the burger due to the lettuce being flimsy and when you put freshly cooked food on the lettuce it'll semi cook it. Other than that, it was still just as tasty and if anything it made me feel less guilty. I'd totally come back here and would make it a regular spot whenever I'm having a craving or don't feel like cooking. I'd recommend Shake Shack and this location to anyone in the area looking for healthy options at a fast food place that's actually good. There's also plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, and they also have plenty of free parking.

My recent visit to Shake Shack was a complete disappointment. I drove 30 minutes from home because I usually love their food, but I got dry fries and old, greasy chicken bites this time. I couldn't even eat some of it, and I paid over $12 for this order! And to make matters worse, I tried contacting their management team through several calls, but their voicemail system was malfunctioning. I recommend avoiding this location in the evening as it's a waste of both time and money. Overall, I do not recommend it.

I arrived just after the restaurant opened. The tables were nasty. An employee cleaned a spot for my party. The food was decent. The menu was showing items that had been pulled. That was a little disappointing. I'd go back. I truly enjoyed the 'shroom burger.

Overall this place is pretty good. The bacon cheese burger was good, cheese fries were ok but could have saved my money and made them at home lol. We also got shakes (forgot to take pictures) which were good. The shakes were pre-made which is not a problem but with the name being Shake Shack I thought they would have been the main attraction of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is nice as well as the workers, however it is on the pricey side. Reminds me of a high end Wendys

I was really happy and excited to know that Shake Shack was coming to the area! I've been to other locations so I know this place had alot of potential and I was even telling my friends about this place.... I finally came here since I had some free time to try out some of their food and honest to God, it was awful. Complete 180! I walk in and this place is packed, the drive thru was packed, some people were waiting an hour, even for a small meal or even a shake. Prices here are grossly overpriced. Even the people that got their food complained about the food not worth the wait or the money. This place was just a disorganized mess, beyond words and I left to go elsewhere. I do give it a second star because this place is completely beautiful inside and I love the sky lights & out door area.

Visited for the 1st time today long line but very quick and efficient service. We were able to order at the kiosk and within 10 minutes our order was up. Every employee we encountered was nice and made the experience enjoyable. The burger was juicy and had a great flavor and was dressed with tomatoe, lettuce, cheese and a special sauce. The fries were nice and crispy and the cheese sauce was very flavorful. Overall great first experience

My husband requested burgers for lunch. This restaurant is really close to our home, so it's a perfect opportunity to check it out. When I arrived, I noticed that you place your order on a self-serve kiosk and then wait for your order to be called by the service staff. Everything is à la carte. No options for the food to come in. More like a combo or your normally used to at a fast food burger joint. So with the two Angus burgers minus bacon with avocado and shallot onions and one fry was $26. After opening up my packaging and making sure the order was correct, I noticed that the patty was kind of small so I did order an additional one for my husband. I did not partake in any shakes which I know they are known for, so that will be the next agenda to try upon my second visit. The staff was nice and very attentive. If you are opting to dine in, they have a huge area for customers that want to sit and enjoy their food. After ordering. The burgers were pretty good. Nothing to complain about just the cost

Shake Shack will not put ketchup on cheeseburgers. At the price charged this is pathetic. I was told that this was corporate policy. The order ahead app does not work or the workers don't read the order. I specified toppings, cheese and shack sauce only, and got tomato peppers added. These are way to spicy to to put on someone's order by mistake. Once you put the order in the app and pay you do not get a detailed summary of the order so you cannot tell what you are getting. So when something does go wrong they blame the customer. I contacted shake shack regarding my concerns per the request. They did not acknowledge that their app has issues. They mere stated my order was prepared accurately. I hate peppers. I would not overlook removing them or submit an order that I did not believe would allow me to remove them.

Horrible service! First of all, I placed my order on the app, and the app was very wonky, but I finally got it to work. Next, after 12 minutes of waiting for my order, I was told to go to the drive-through window. I waited there five minutes before someone came to the window and gave me my food. My french fries were cold. And they did not include the Shake Shack sauce on the side, or my barbecue sauce, as I requested in the app. After no apology, They gave me another french fry, and it was only lukewarm. After 2 tries, I had enough and I just left. When someone waits 17 minutes before they get their food, the food should be hot and fresh. And the order should be exactly as requested. And when you do fail, there should be a heartfelt apology. When I spend four dollars at White Castle, I expect some issues. However, when I spend over $15 for a meal at Shake shack, I expect hot, fresh, and high-quality food. And I also expect the order to be accurate. With many other choices in the area, I think I will be moving on from Shake Shack.

I had never been to a Shake Shack before! We were able to place our order and pay for it at an order station and then we got a text when our order was ready. The chicken bites were really juicy and the breading was killer! The chocolate shake was so creamy and hit the spot. The place was really clean and we had a great time enjoying our lunch and watching Family Feud. There is outdoor seating, too! I recommend this location.

I made the terrible, horrible, no good , very bad mistake of ordering food from this place. So, in case you are not aware, the food is terrible. How can a burger restaurant mess up on burgers ? Beats me. Seriously , the dried burnt burger from those teenagers who work in the water park taste better than this. But wait it gets worse. They actually messed up the order. We ordered 3 fries and received only two. We ordered one with cherry peppers and one without and both came with the peppers. Their only hope was the fries. Nah , I'm kidding of course. The fries were not even warm and had zero taste. This place is BAD. Stay away at all costs. There is nothing good here. No matter how hungry you are !!! Thank me later.

Not Bad... but slightly unimpressed. It was a decent experience. The food was ok, very unexciting. The employees/service was good & very nice, and the building was new & interesting too. Very trendy in a minimalist & eco friendly way. Not a bad place to go, but not totally worth the money or hype.

First time at Shame Shack. Burgers were tasty, but small. My teen could have probably ate a double. Shakes were really good but there aren't many flavors. There's the standard vanilla, strawberry, Oreo, chocolate. Maybe 1-2 seasonal flavors but that was surprising since it's a "shake " shack, would expect more flavors. Overall good, quick bite.

Shame shack is pretty good! The burgers gotta be good with a Portillos and Smashburger just around the corner. Burger and fried mushroom are awesome. Filling and fresh. Bread blows away the aforementioned nearby places especially. I just wish they had cheddar cheese. American cheese as only option will probably stop me from being a regular. They also messed up our float order. The fries, fruit drinks, and ranch is also super great.

Sheeeeesh Came here on 5/1/23 and i ordered through drive through and was pretty quick. Although they always forget to add ketchup for the fries but it's on point!!! My girl and I always get The Shack Stack with avocado and bacon and this burger is always on point

The food was delicious, especially their Hospitality, Quiana always make sure we have the best experience when we come to visit this location . I always eat at restaurants, but this place is always have the same atmosphere and welcoming service that's makes you wanna come back and enjoy eating their food. The team is also is brilliant. You can count me in when it comes down to this restaurant. Quiana, thanks for being who you are, and always making sure my family is taken care when we come to enjoy our food.

This place is good but way too overpriced. Burgers are thin and deff cheaper options. If this chain of restaurants was cheaper it would definitely be one of the best because they are good, but for the price it's definitely not going to be my go to. You can go to any other burger place in Chicago and pay the same thing and eat double the food, they charge the price of a burger from a steakhouse but are the size of a McDonald's burger

My daughter convinced me to try this place 15 minutes before they closed at 9pm and do I not regret it. I never expected to receive fresh off of the grill and piping hot food but I was completely wrong. Everything was right on point!!! Scratch that, THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! The employees were pleasant and the place was very clean, even the bathroom! I encourage everyone to please try the bacon avocado chicken sandwich and the fries might arguably be in my top three fries over McDonald's and Wendy's! Thank you again Shake Shack!

Tried it for the first time. Menu on line. Ordered a strawberry cookies and cream shake. Had to pull over to enjoy it. It was so good. Met manager and she related menu to me. Was so attractive, I don't remember anything she said. Nice variety of entrées.

One of my favorite restaurants. The employees are always polite and appear to be working quickly with efficiency. The food is fresh and well worth the money. The menu has something for everybody, including little kids. The best chocolate shakes you can buy. This is easily one of my favorite burger places. I have eaten here many times and each time I've had an amazing experience! The restaurant is always clean, my food is always hot and fresh, and the employees are always friendly. They have quality food. It took awhile for it to be ready, but they were very busy at the time. Regardless, it was well worth the wait. I will definitely be back!

ShackBurger was good but nothing to rave about. It was satisfying for a quick lunch. The fries were rather good. Service was fast and friendly.

Shake shack has really good products but, as consultant, they should spend more money and accuracy on training in operations and customer service.

I'm not saying the food is bad , because it's not. It's actually good. It's a good change from the usual But it's nothing special. It's just a burger joint.

Have gone there in the last couple of weeks. First time carryout was missing an item. Did not want to go back so I just let it go. The second time again I was missing my 10 piece chicken bites. You would think I would know to check the bag. I called and talked to the manager and she said they would refund my credit card. Still have not seen a refund. And what happened to their burgers? Used to be a good sized burger, now it is almost a slider, so small for what they charge. Fries seem different too. Almost like they are coated with something. Only thing that is still good are their shakes but it seems the cups are smaller in size compared to before. When did everything shrink at Shake Shack. Too Bad, used to have a good burger but different now.Will not go back there.

Went here today. I was disappointed. Food was good (burger) but cleanliness was bad. Floor was sticky, tables half cleaned and it had a not clean order.

Very expensive for not much food . Hot dog was plain on toasted bun I could have made better at home . Hamburger very tasty and very small . Chicken sandwich taste like sawdust .

Don't bother getting the chicken sandwich! Got the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and was not impressed at all. Very small chicken breast not worth the $8 plus price. Totally disappointed!!!

I dunno why this place has such bad reviews. Came in tonight with my wife. It wasn't packed but steady flow of people coming to grab orders. I had the truffle burger and Parmesan fries. I though it was really good. The burger was great. The fries were really crispy. Also had a strawberry shake and it was very thick but also really good. I liked the contactless ordering with the the tablets on the side. The restaurant was clean, The staff seems nice. Overall great experience! I'd go again.

Sooooooo. Never wanted to be THAT GUY. But was greeted at the door by this chick who made me question why she even had a hairnet on to begin with. She asked if I had a vaccine on card for myself and my children. Fine. As I'm looking for mine and my husband is looking for his we explain that we didn't have the kids on us and there was a lot of eye rolling and puffing. So eventually we provide them along with our Identification. So then she goes back behind the counter to speak with her co workers. At this point all eyes are on us. I take a seat and again all eyes hit our table from everyone behind the counter. By this time I notice the vaccination check is done cause people are piling in by the dozens and she's shill in a huddle with her co workers. Food comes and Chile I could have saved my money. And it so disappointing only because I ranted and raved about this place when I first ate here over a month ago. It took everything in me not to ask for a manager but tbh I doubt it would do any good. I'd never encourage anyone from coming here but I'm almost positive I won't be back. And if I am. I'd have to tap into my inner Karen and demand better customer service or a refund.

Foods always been the quality I've come to love from shake shack. I was super excited they came to oak lawn. Love the order ahead feature on the app to limit wait times. They've always gotten our order correct.

As I drove up to the Shake Shack I loved the edison light bulbs that lite up the outside of the building. When I entered it was very cleaned and bright inside. The employees were very friendly and helpful. We placed our order on the touch screen computer. We sat down at a clean table and floor. 15 minutes later I received a text that my order was ready. Everything was delicious. I have eaten at the Oak Brook Shake Shack and I was not impressed with that Shake Shack as I am with the Oak Lawn Shake Shack. I will definitely be eating here again.

i'm within walking distance of the downtown Chicago location so thought I'd try this location while in Oak Lawn. We placed our order at the counter but instead of the Smoke burger, my husband got a lettuce wrap instead---something he'd never order in a million years. It was replaced. The sticker on the door said burgers are cooke sri Medium unless otherwise requested. I requested Medium rare and was told , nope, couldn't honor my request. I get it---but then why post the sign? Burgers were tasty---mine needed more sauce. Fries were unremarkable.

First time at a Shake Shack. Mech, just like 5 guys and meatheads, once is enough. There is a small chain in the southern suburbs called Schoop's and they blow these guys away.

Well I decided to give this place s try see what the hypes all about. It looks nice, very modern looking, staff were nice, place was clean. I do not want to say anything bad about this place as my experience here was fairly decent. But as far as going back I honestly doubt it. Not so much for the price but more because the portion size were soooo small. I had to take small nibble bites. I honestly thought i had the wrong order when my order was up. Thought it was the kids meal. As for management reaching out to reviewers that's a nice gesture. But there are much better places nearby with fuller meals for the price some lower price some more price but bigger portions. Sorry but on this place I will have to pass. Good Luck!

Everyone enjoyed their cheeseburgers and cheese/fries lemonade and shakes. Everything was hot and fresh. Pricier than other fast food options but tastier and worth it.
