Shake Shack Pasadena

My friends and I like coming here because it’s just around the corner from CoreTCG card shop. After an event we just walk here and grab a bite to eat. I think the burgers are really good. My usuals are the shack burger or smoke shack. They are a bit on the smaller side and are bit on the pricier side as well but the taste is there. My brother sometimes orders 2 burgers to fill him up but he’s okay with it because he likes the taste too. They have outer and indoor seating. The times we have gone it hasn’t been too packed so we’ve always found seating. They also have parking available but we usually just end up parking around the street. I know a lot of people like comparing it to in n out but I think it’s more comparable to a burger from 5 guys.

Loved it all! The friendly cashier, Ray, to the incredibly delicious food. The char broiled flavor of the meat is like no other. We had the avocado bacon cheese burger which was delicious!!!! I ordered mine without the sauce, I don’t care for any mayonnaise or mayo based products. We had fries and chocolate shake which were full of flavor. Thank you and we’ll be back again. Ray is an asset to your company, he is very engaging, friendly and hospitable, he’s a keeper!

Ordered the Black Truffle Burger, ShackBurger, SmokeShack, fries, and a vanilla shake. This was a pickup order and I arrived right on time, my order was ready at the pick up shelf. It may be due to the order being a pickup order instead of ordering at the counter that they did not resemble the more flattering images in their advertising, especially at the elevated premiumness of this fast food chain. Across each of these burgers, the angus beef is tasty if a little thinner and flattened to beyond the edges of the bun than I expected. And the choice of using a potato bun was great, creating a different mildly sweet bread to hold the burger together. The Black Truffle Burger does have a nice gruyere cheese and lovely truffle sauce, though just a bit disappointed the crispy sweet onions seemed quite sparse. The ShackBurger was a great take on the classic cheeseburger style. This is a great easy choice however my order was disappointing because the bun came up short, literally. The bottom bun seemed to be missing 30% of it, please see the attached photo, and I hope they do better during any QC of making sure the bottom bun is a complete bottom bun. The SmokeShack burger is great for bacon lovers, this bacon was done well and the chopped cherry peppers were barely spicy, only accentuating how good the rest of this burger was. The crinkle cut style french fries here were definitely something to add to your order, good texture and consistency and a nice light crunch to these. And of course, it’s in their name, the Vanilla Shake was creamy, nice and light to drink, the taste of real vanilla in here is very pleasant and would be a great starter to their line of shakes. Ultimately, I’d like to revisit this location and try a sit-down experience or at least order at the counter. I think it was great but perhaps my order happened to luck out this once. The pricing is a little on the higher end for fast food but based on their use of ingredients, it’s justified. Employees were really kind and quick to get me in and out during their lunch rush. Interior looks really modern and clean, medium foot traffic. There is plenty of parking behind in their parking lot but it might be tighter for bigger cars.

Checkin and paid at the register @ 7:25pm sat down planned to dine in and waited. 35minutes in while other got their meal after me. After that,i walked up and ask wheres my meal they took my receipt and said they gave it to another customer by accident and said they'll make another one for me. Didn't apologize or give me a drink or complementary snack for the wait. Proceeded to wait another 5 minutes. They gave me the meal only to find out they forgot the patty, so i asked them where the patty. Waited another 3 minutes. After all that wait and all those mistakes, i only got 1 apology from one person. If i known any better, i should have asked for a full refund of $21.48...for a late burger and fries. Im so angry and stressed out by this ordeal.

Man this place is so delicious. I’m traveling for work and tried it. The employees were all super cool and helpful and the cheese fries came with like a cute little wooden fork thing. Magic

Traditional Shake Shack Style like what in New York City. Almost the closest one in East Great LA area. However, the waiting after ordering is too long to be true. I went there at 9pm on holiday night, one hour before the general closing. There are around 5 customers but all waiting for their food. What I ordered is the special limited white truffle hamburgers and fries. AND I HAD TO Wait FOR 15 minutes until my food came out. It is truly unacceptable. The fried waffle in hamburger taste good also with the sauce companies for fries. The fans are turning on in the cold winter night for outdoor dinning...

This place is crowded on the weekend night. Service is pretty good, and refills are very fast as well. The cheese sauce is very special that makes the burger and hot dogs even better. The patty is delicious within the burger. Definitely recommend bacon cheese fries and Smoke Classic BBQ Burgers. And of course I will come back here!

Convenient location and we found a spot in the little parking lot! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was yummy and piping hot! The fries were really good and fresh (hot as well). We had great service where one of the employees came out and asked if we needed anything and went to get us ketchup! We really appreciated it and felt it was great service, like a restaurant :0) The outside seating was perfect at the time we went (10amish) and great breezy weather!!

shake shack burgers are gooOoOod and it hits every time. they definitely have the best crinkle cut fries, and that cheese sauce is killer. this location is the best shake shack closest to the sgv with decent parking. DTLA one is atrocious. service was quick and for the most part tables were clean. the only problems i have with it, is the price and deciding what to eat. I can't see myself eating this every month.

In the area for a college tour and we stopped here for some lunch. Order from a kiosk if you have a card. Selection of food I believe is just the right amount to choose from. Waitress was super nice and brought out our food super fast. I had the chicken shack and I loved it! I really loved that the buns were cool but the chicken was hot! Fries were crispy and hot. The lemonade was refreshing and cool- didn't make me pucker so hard. I had a sip of the raspberry lemonade and that was a 5 star lemonade! There's inside seating and outside seating. Parking lot is small but you can park on the road as well. Great vibes! Definitely would eat here again

I've eaten here a couple of times. The last time, my burger had small bits of hard gristle in it. I had to spit out gristle after each and every bite. I've not experienced this at any other burger place. For me, there's no point in having fresh ground meat, if that meat is inedible. Take some care and pride in the preparation of your food.

We came to this location because my daughter felt like shake shack. I hadn't been to one since she was in grade school. This location was about 20 mins from our house and there was enough parking spots. There were people dining outside but it was empty inside. We had ordered at the kiosk. We both ordered the double shack, except I had bacon on mine. We shared the bacon cheese fries. She had the large mango and I had 50/50 large mango/ice tea. After getting water, ketchup and napkins, our order came. I had received a text saying "hang tight, we will text again when your order is ready". Everything came out perfect and my daughter wolfed it down. This place is clean. And it got super busy after we started eating. I think we brought the crowd in. They're very organized and kept everything clean. My daughter said their bathroom was clean, too.

I wanted to give Shake Shack a second chance after bad experience at the Santa Monica location. I ordered a Shack Burger (with pickles and sliced onions added) and a side of fries. I placed my order online to be picked up at Pasadena location. When I got there, it was very busy. I got my order when my name was called, and decided to eat outside on the patio. All tables were dirty so I cleaned the table and tried not to worry about it too much. I bit into the hamburger and... tasted peppers. What in the world! They were finely chopped so I couldn't eat the burger (I dont like peppers in any size, shape or form, including the smell lol). The order of fries was small and very greasy. I also had to go back to ask for napkins as there were none in my bag. I'm not sure if I'm ready to give Shake Shack a third chance at this time. It may be a while...

I'm eating their fries right now which I THOUGHT would be really tasty and they are BAD AND TASTELESS! Yukkkk Their veggie burger isn't good either. I was just told they don't have any beyond burgers. If you want a good veggie burger made with black bean and avocado and other goodies go to Hook Burger on foothill Blvd. I wish more people would recommend other places when they are writing reviews about places they just went to that sucked. It would be very helpful so that's why I'm doing this as a public service. The veggie burger at Hook burger is phenomenal. It's better than any regular gross dead burger.

Been coming here quite a bit for takeout, but I didn't want to write a review until I actually had properly had sitdown experience here. Usual order these days is a double Shackburger with a lettuce wrap, although sometimes I do indulge and get the fries as the fries are always crispy and tasty. In all the times that I have been here, the food is always consistent. The meat is always juicy here! Service has consistently been good every time I come here. Parking situation is a bit rough as they have a very small parking lot, but they also have additional parking behind it. Still, it can get very busy. Overall, a solid Shack Shack location that I will continue to visit!

Had the Smoke Shack, burger with bacon and peppers. There's an on-going debate on which burger is better, but both are very good. I prefer the Shake Shack fries but the In and Out sauce is superior. Convenient app so the wait time is decreased. Quick service. Place was clean but to be expected from a national chain. Parking is very limited at this location.

Put my order through the app for my daughter's school donation. Ordered a smokedshack in lettuce wrap & added raw onion and pickle, but I got crap!!!! They don't include the bacon, cherry peppers & shack sauce at all. Also the lettuce is wilting. Terrible service & very disappointing quality. I'm not paying $10 for nothing!

I'm sorry to only get four stars but my burger only had two little teeny tomatoes on it and for $8.81 I expect to have tomato on every bite otherwise grandpa delicious great service cheese burgers are awesome

The only thing that I appreciate from Shake shack is their Shroom Burger. Yes it is quite pricey but you can't really find a mushroom burger at any burger place. I live nearby so I always walk to Shake shack and always always long line and traffic is just crazy. I never sit down and eat there because it's just always crowded. The places pretty cool and they have like modern decoration and a very pop green colors.

First time trying this Shake Shack location in Pasadena. Had no idea there was one here. I was hesitant to come here since the ratings on this location was low. I went anyways, maybe it will be ok. Nope, it was a subpar experience. I ordered online and came on time to pick-up. There is a parking lot in this location, but good luck finding a spot. It's so busy, packed and crowded both inside and out. There's a lot of people waiting in the lobby and so many diners as well. The parking lot is very small and hard to maneuver through. You'll know what I mean once you drive in. I ordered for indoor pick-up. I wait in line behind everyone else. Then it's my turn. They just ignore me as if I was not there. Well hello! I'm standing right here in front of you. Too bad all the names on these orders are turned around so you can't see who they are for. I don't want to touch every order looking for mine. Finally I get my order, after they finally "see" me. My order was there just sitting there on the shelf. Service needs to be better here. Also you forgot all my ranch that I ordered! Nothing for the fries at all! The burgers were fine. Don't order the spicy fries, it's just cayenne peppers sprinkled on their regular fries, waste of money. Do better Shake Shack!

It was my first time trying shake shack, originally I was going to go to Waba grill across the street but I've had that place so many times and suggested to try someplace new so I came here and there was like 3 people in front of me but the kiosk was open so I didn't mind ordering there instead of waiting but the cashier helped customers right away which I thought was awesome! I love chicken sandwich's so I tried the one they have and man it was DELICIOUS so soft but crunchy am the fries were great too !!! Nicely cooked and the drink tasted more like peach instead of strawberry as well but it was delicious overall, definitely coming back! Awesome job guys thank you for a great 1st time experience

Haven't had Shake Shack in forever so stopped by to dine in. Ordered the shack burger and shared the cheese fries and chicken bites. I forgot how good the burger is here. The smashed patties and the steamed potato bun were a nice contrast to In-n-Out. The cheese fries were good, until the cheese hardened and got cold. Either way the crinkle fries are still good with ketchup. This was my first time ordering the chicken bites, which were juicy and perfectly salted. Who knew?! Parking lot is very limited and can get hectic during peak times.

First time at this location. I ordered online for pick up, a cheeseburger, a Smoke Shack and a order of fries. No red peppers on the Smoke Shack. Of course the red peppers were on there. They were scraped off but it was unpleasant and inexcusable. I also checked the box for condiments, utensils and napkins. None were included. My cheeseburger was good but I saw the irritation due to the peppers. Generally I don't like crinkle cut fries but these were very good. Beware the parking is TERRIBLE! Also the window for online orders was slammed and disorganized. Bags and bags of food were just sitting there with the top of the bags left exposed. I'll stick to the Glendale location although it's further away. That means I won't be eating at Shake Shack very often.

Shake shack is probably my favorite burger spot, and I've been to numerous locations throughout California. This one is pretty small and it can get packed sometimes.

Came in. No registers were staffed, only self ordering at kiosks. So after waiting in line behind stoned folks who can barely function trying to order, I was prompted to TIP? Seriously. Tipping is for actual service.

Shake Shack also known as " Green Sandwich" in my home ( the name the kids call it ) is always a treat. We like the burgers, chicken sandwich, and shakes the most !!! The service is cool and we usually get ours to go or eat in the car. We love our Shake Shack !

Shake Shack is a good option for me when I don't want In'N'Out and I want different type of fries. I was in the area and I have the Shake Shack app, placed an order and it was ready at the pick up window in less than ten minutes. We love fast service! This location does look rather small than others I've been to. They do have their own parking lot.

Took advantage of the current promotion going on for free chicken shack burger when you spend $10+. The sandwich was good and pickles were crunchy. Placed order online and pickup was really easy.

Plastic was found inside the burger !! I pulled out the plastic it was disgusting how they cooked the food when plastic package trying to poison the food. They don't care if they want to be careless putting poison plastic in our food! Now I'm sick never again , what's next a bug in my food.

I love Shake Shack, definitely a favorite of mine! I first had them in Las Vegas probably over eight years ago and I haven't stopped thinking about them since. Over the years they've expanded to California so I really appreciate that. I am an Orange County, California native so yes I love In-N-Out but I love Shake Shack just as much, if not more! I know people complain about the high prices but I do think it's better quality so I can see why, take all my money, I will still eat here! I would go out of my way to eat here. My favorites are the ShackBurger and Chicken Shack. I love their burgers, love the potato bun and how their patty is almost like a smash burger. I don't feel like people talk about the Chicken Shack enough, my favorite chicken sandwich. I've had the ones from Chick-fil-A and Popeyes, still think the one here is the best. I also love their Fries and Shakes. Still need to try their Custard and Hot Dogs but I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. They have a small free parking lot so I don't have too many issues with parking here or you can park on the street. Service is quick and friendly, there's indoor and outdoor seating. They have kiosks so you can order from there too, especially if you don't feel like talking to anyone to take your order haha. It's a fast casual dining spot, pay first and pick up your food.

Recently found this place as recommended by family friends. Friendly, helpful and very patient staff, reasonable prices and very good food selection. Loved their shake shack burgers and refreshing drinks. Definitely coming back and do recommend for others to check it out. Enjoy.

Shake Shack is a well known hamburger chain throughout the US. Originated in New York, I've always enjoyed eating Shake Shack burgers. They're not the best burgers I've ever had, but arguably one of the best fast food chain burgers I've had. I'm glad to see they have branches outside of New York. They recently debuted a white truffle cheeseburger with white truffle sauce. My wife ordered the white truffle cheeseburger, whereas I ordered the Shackburger and also a side of fries. The Shackburger is an obvious Shake Shack classic. The patty is well seasoned and quite tasty. I love the potato bun that is "closed" on one end to prevent leakage of ingredients and sauce. The white truffle cheeseburger was creamy and delicious, but very rich. A bit too rich for me to eat an entire sandwich of, but I still enjoyed it. The fries are solid, nothing amazing, but definitely hit the spot.

Waited for 45 minutes for some chicken nuggets and fries and when I followed up on my order they gave me an attitude just to tell me 10 minutes later that they lost the order.

Reviewing for the Hot Ones x Shake Shack collab - their burger and chicken sandwich. Burger was okay - patty wasn't seasoned, but has that charbroiled flavor. The classic + last dab Apollo + shack sauce combination does pack a bit of heat after a few bites but it's not overwhelming. I've had the Last Dab Apollo by itself and my mouth was on fire for a good 20 mins. after, but this sauce was not as bad. The Hot Ones chicken sandwich was the star - everything just married well together and the collab sauce paired a lot better. Cheese fries were decent, for crinkle cut fries these might be my favorite spot since they were actually crispy and not soggy. Might skip the bacon and cheese in the future because they're a bit over-priced. Will be sad to see the Hot Ones chicken sandwich go after this month, hopefully they can make it into a permanent menu item or at least bring it back seasonally/on occasion! Restrooms were clean. Parking lot is a bit small, so you might have to wait or get lucky at times.

Try to order for take out/pick up here if you can, dining in takes so much time! My dining in experience here wasn't great since this location seems to be very focused on take out orders. There's no directions when you enter for dining in if it's your first time here. There were no workers at the cashiers but there are screens you can order from. At that point, it would've been quicker to order ahead for pick up. It's not very clear that you're supposed to grab a number for your table either. It seems like there's a lot of confusion at this location because I ended up waiting for such a long time- saw people who arrived after us place their orders and got their orders before us... not that our order was complicated at all. We had to go up to the cashier to check in on our order and it finally seemed like they were working on it. All they could say was sorry about the wait when the food finally came out. The food was as expected but by then, I would've eaten anything! Not sure if I'd be coming back, especially when their very small parking lot is likely packed.

Very nice people working here. Always making sure everything is ok for you. The food is delicious! Pretty tasty burgers, shakes, and fries. The fries are yummy and you can add cheese or bacon. Also they have a house lemonade that is great and very refreshing. I am satisfied every visit. Burgers, fries, shakes - all so good.

My go to order is a double shack with onions and pickles and a crinkle cut fry. The burgers are flavorful and have a crunch on the edges of the patty like a smash burger. Their cheese is so melty (might be a cheese sauce) and so good. I love adding onions and pickles. Great tasting burger with soft potato buns. Their fries are always nice and crunchy. I love pairing the fries with their bbq sauce and honey mustard. They hot ones chicken sandwich is also really good. Not very spicy but has a spice flavor. My only gripe is the price tag. If it was affordable as in n out...it wouldnt be a competition. Pro tip: order through the app and pick up at the window. I always order ahead and dont have to wait long for my food.

to me, shake shack is a hit or miss depending on which location you visit or when you order. this location gave me a good experience overall. the shack burgers' patties were really well cooked, and the fries were really crispy! food - 9/10 customer service - 7/10

Shake Shack is always a solid place for a good burger, even for someone who isn't too big on burgers. I get the Shake Stack (cheeseburger + Shroom burger combined) and it's such a treat every time! The Shroom burger is what made me fall in love with Shack Shack. It is basically a crispy Portobello mushroom stuffed with melty cheese - soo good! Service at this location is good, lines move fast and they have kiosks for self ordering which is quite efficient. They have an outdoor patio here which is super nice if you want to dine outside and get some sun in. My only gripe about this location is the crappy parking lot. It is tight and small so it can be a nightmare getting in and out.

My experience at Shake Shack left me satisfied with their delicious burger paired with cheese fries. However, it's worth noting that Shake Shack tends to be pricier compared to In-N-Out, and the size of their burger was slightly smaller. Unfortunately, parking was a bit challenging at this particular location, as I had to drive around the block to find street parking since their own parking area was full. On the bright side, the convenience of ordering through a tablet and having a friendly staff member deliver our food directly to our table enhanced the overall dining experience.

I love Shake Shack and this locale is one of my favorites. Clean, friendly, very chill. And how can you go wrong with the best fast food around?! Today Edsel the friendly staffer hooked me up with the double veggie burger, fries and frozen hot cocoa shake -- a perfect meal that kept me full and happy all day (literally). The best.

My favorite burger place! I love the ability to customize your burger, and different options they offer! The shakes here are a must get too! They have two self serve terminals and you can also order at the cashier as well. The store has indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is very limited! Two small lots l, but typically always full. There is also street parking too! Can't wait to go back!

I like this new-ish location of Shake Shack down Arroyo Pkwy despite its limited on-premises seating. It has its own parking lot(s) and is across the side street from a very busy Pitfire Pizza. This is a mostly take-out location complete with designated online/app pick-up area. You can also order from a walk-up window outside... There are a few 2 person tables inside and a few more outside in the dining patio plus a handful of 4 person tables. We had a late Saturday lunch recently after spending the morning at nearby CalTech. The parking lot looked hectic so we just drove down the side street and found street parking. I ordered a shack stack ($11.89) and the lady got a smokeshack ($8.49)... we shared an order of cheese fries ($4.99)... We opted for dine-in and found a vacant table. Our food took a little while, they were very busy that day, but it was fine. The shack stack was as good as ever. So were the cheese fries. My lady always likes her smokestack orders. Service was friendly. We ordered on the provided screens inside. You can also use the app or go online or walk-up window.

FINALLY! Been literally waiting years to try Shake Shack. Stopped by on our way back from Griffith Observatory. Well the wait was worth it. Totally backs up the hype. Burgers were fresh and delicious. I had the Shack Stack, which is basically the Shack & Shroom Burger making a baby. Get the fries, get the shakes. So happy we stopped comparing this to In-N-Out, which is not. Its a fresh gourmet burger at a fast food joint Gotta go back to try the Hot Ones tho

Great Burgers, Fries, shakes and the employees I have encountered have all been very hard working, talkative, friendly, kind and helpful. This is a favorite!

Very busy inside, but food came out quickly. The double bacon cheeseburger was like $11, it was fairly over priced especially since u can get double bacon cheeseburgers at competitors for like $5-7 easily. Was the quality worth the price? Um not really, the buns were average, nothing fancy. The burgers were also tiny for the price. They're the size of a $2 burger from McDonald's. BUT I do love how the patties are more caramelized than other places!! If u like extra crispy browned burger patties this is a winner for sure. The shakes were also on point!

So, this is my local Shake Shack and I SWEAR. The food is good every time. This is my usual: A ShackBurger and a vanilla milkshake with cheese fries To order, you can use a kiosk and you can order by the tRaDiTiOnAL way. (choose from takeout or dine-in) The service is really quick too. It takes as long as 7 minutes to get served. For the seating you have both inside seats AND outside too.

Shake shack burger is the best. Size is pretty small and price high, but so good! The shack burger is a classic. Single or double both taste beefy and delicious. They have the new hot ones burger. Has a nice spicy kick but don't burn too bad. Crinkle cut fries is good when fresh. Size is pretty small. The cheese fries is delicious and creamy. Not worth the bacon imo. Milkshake is very smooth. Seats available inside or outdoor. Outside is nice with shade. You can order via the tablet inside and they will bring the food to you. Parking in the back is pretty limited and tight. But you don't have to pay parking fee!

My goodness you are harsh. They make a really tasty burger for a very reasonable price. That's 5 stars any day. Stick with the truffle burger and fries and a nice beverage of your choice and you can't go wrong. Alcohol at a fast food place? Yes but beer and wine only but also at a reasonable price. The place is clean with a hip and cool vibe. The servers are all very nice and I get my food quickly enough. I simply can't ask for more than that.

Quick and easy. I've been to this Shake Shack location many times and each time has been awesome. It's always been easy to order and fast to get my food. There's not much more to ask from a burger joint. I usually get the shack burger or the avocado bacon burger. They're both great and reliable/safe options to order. The burgers always come out super juicy and flavorful. Their French fries are the wavy thicker cut ones vs in n out and McDonald's. I love the pillowyness of their thicker cut fries and they always tastes fresh compared to sometimes you don't get fresh fries with other places. Although I do prefer In N Out over Shake Shack I do enjoy Shake Shack every once in a while!

It's been a minute since I've been to Shake Shack, so while I was out in the neighborhood, I figured I'd give this place a go to give my tummy a little refresher. I ordered the smoke shack burger and my husband ordered the chicken shack burger. Along with that, we got the bacon cheese fries. In my opinion the portions are on the smaller side for the price, but the taste is definitely there. Crinkle fries are my jam, so the bacon cheese fries definitely hit the spot for me. The smoke shack was good -- it came with with applewood-smoked bacon, chopped cherry peppers, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside cause it was a beautiful evening. This restaurant is dog friendly! They even have a meal option for your little four-legged friend!

If you never been to Shake Shack, it is bomb! Their burgers taste really good. I'd say it's on the same level with IN-N-OUT. One unusual thing about Shake Shack is that they don't offer combos - everything is separate on the menu. It's like a mix between a restaurant and fast food. The ambiance it is modern. While it might be a bit pricey, I think it's usually worth it

Haven't had shake shack for a long time. But I just recently moved and it was very close to us, so decided to order lunch from here. The burgers were delicious. Perfectly soft buns and flavorful patties. Loved the spicy fries. I ordered pickup and was a bit surprised to see the hot dog when I got home though. First time ordering it, so I didn't know it came without any condiments, which was disappointing. Also couldn't drink the Chocolate Churro Shake because it was toooo sweet for my taste.

Big Props to Osdi at Shake shack in Pasadena! He went above and beyond and is the MVP. Give that man a promotion!
