Shake Shack - Penn Station

Take out orders only. They make the food and call your number. Easy and simple right? Wrong! Waited 15 mins for a shake and a drink. I asked a worker about it he said he’d check and did nothing waited another 5-10 mins, asked another worker and she finally checked. My order was done the whole time it was just sitting on the counter! They never called my number. Horrible!

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience here at this location today. The food wasn’t properly packaged in a safe to eat manner, there are no chairs to sit down peacefully while you eat and wait for your train, and one of the team members who was telling everyone to use the kiosks instead of going up to the register was extremely rude to me. He decided to throw a crunched up ball of napkins into my bag thinking that’s okay. As I was removing it out of the paper bag, I told him politely not to provide me with a careless crunched up ball of napkins as I found it to be very disrespectful and rude. He did not even apologize. Never again will I return and tolerate this unprofessional and disrespectful behavior.

This is the slowest shake shack ever they have so many workers and still can’t the job done at ALL. I waited over 20 minutes for 2 orders of cheese fries and I had to ask about my order and let them know that I will miss my train to NJ and still missed it! Plus there was a bunch other people just as frustrated as I was… This is unacceptable and won’t support this franchise anymore.

Slowest Shake Shack ever! You are middle of a transit hub for many travelers, and I have never experienced service so slow. I missed my train waiting 25 minutes for my order. My order was also inaccurate.

Food comes out too fast which means not made to order. The hamburger meat tastes like it was sitting on grill for along time, very dry not juicy. Don’t waste your money going to this location. Corporate take note!!!

The best the freshest shake shack I have ever had, and I have been to almost all of their NYC location. It was a most wonderful surprise. Keep it up!!! Thank you!!!

It’s pretty disappointing that there are no gluten free buns at this location. On the up side, I did receive my order in time that I didn’t have to worry about missing my train.

Hot good food, not great that you have to stand and eat because there are no sitting options

Good service experience here. With 18 minutes to go before my train, I ordered a shack burger in person. Within 12 minutes I had received and eaten it, an impressive turnaround during the later part of rush hour. Service was friendly and the place was well run. It's a good option for a quick bite when you have a craving.

Classic Shake Shack. You know what to expect when you go there. This location was really but the line moved really quickly. Service was helpful but confused when there was an issue with payment. There was a good amount of seating inside too. For food we got a classic bacon cheeseburger, which tasted good and wasn't too greasy. The price was pretty expensive for fast food but it hit was filling enough.

Shake Shack burgers are amazing!! Paired with a shake and some fries and it's the ideal dinner. Service was solid with all the technology they use to carry out the ordering process. Ambiance is nice and modern.

Very unprofessional staff. Upon entering this establishment I saw almost every employee behind the counter with their cell phones out recording police officers who were removing a disorderly individual from the restaurant. (The police officers might I add did an amazing job in removing this disorderly man and keeping everybody else safe.) The actions of these employees were absolutely uncalled for and disgraceful. Shake shack management should have a word with these employees about being on their personal cell phones while at work.

Restaurant was very busy and filthy. Presentation was not a priority but burger tasted ok. It was hard to enjoy food with the condition of the restaurant and bathroom.
