Shake Shack Southdale

The food here was excellent. I normally go to the one in Maple Grove. The cheese fries here were far superior to the ones I normally get. The cheese sauce was more of a sauce than the other location. I always get cheese on the side and this time I dip it right into the cheese. The Maple Grove the fry always keeps to the sideways and I have to push it in because she is not as soft and warm. The cheeseburger with bacon was delicious.🤤 The restaurant was quite large and spacious. It was very, very clean and well to and they take a lot of pride in their restaurant.

Definitely used to be my HANDS DOWN! Favorite places to go for burgers and shakes… but it just didn’t hit like it used to. Last two times I went there they were super super slow. As well the cleanliness of the joint… probably give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Oreo funnel cake shake is the best shake I’ve ever had. 1000 calories tho, shake shack should offer smaller sizes 👈🤝

This was my first time at a Shake Shack. I loved the BBQ burger and fried pickles! I did not like the shake too much, though. It has a light and airy mouthfeel that's different from an ice cream based shake. I had the smores flavor one. The flavor was great, and there were lots of chocolate chunks that were delicious.

This was like I expected, prices might have been $1.99 more per item than I expected, Burgers are about $10. 8.99 to $12'ish before adding avocado🥑 Like many others reviews I too found the foods to be extremely high calorie however going to a 🍔 & 🍟 fries joint it was half anticipated and half expected. They fries were not bad, but they are simple as if air-fried or such; on the other hand the shake was double the sweetness that I anticipated, I got the chocolate and caramel flavor and it was as if I had ordered a Malt or 2 ! I did not find a drive-thru so just be notified you will park and go inside to get food from here. Once inside the lobby there are 3 kiosk/ tablets to order on, I didn't find any challenge with using it to order. The time it took to prepare and bring out my food was fine, not excessive. In October during my visit I did not find any issues with any employees, lobby, facilities, climate or other such nuances, If I were going to change anything; I would add to the menu a keto section or a gluten free menu section or put a low-carb or low calorie menu section; could offer sweet potato french fries and a gluten free impossible burger. It would also expand business profit margins I would imagine.

We ordered a burger cheesy fries, grilled cheese and a Oreo Shake! Food came out fast and it was very tasty! First time visiting, but I will be back!

Had the double smokey BBQ burger and wife had the avacado and bacon single. Both were excellent burgers. My daughter chicken bites seemed very small and she said they weren't too bad. The fries must have been sitting for a little while because they seemed soft and not hot and crispy. My Daughter had the strawberry malt and said it was amazing. Thought is was a good place but the price was a little on the high end. 2 burgers( one double), 2 fries, 2 small pops and chicken bites and malt. It ran $55.84.

We paid $44 for two people. We had a double hamburger, a mushroom burger, two milkshakes and one order of fries. When the order came out on the tray, it was very underwhelming and it made me chuckle. The mushroom burger looked about the size of a happy hour $1 slider. I must say the mushroom burger had no mushroom in it-- it was all breading and cheese. It was by far the worst mushroom burger I have ever had in my life. The milkshakes were delicious. The fries were pretty good too. My son enjoyed his double burger. When I got home and shared this experience with my wife, she said she just spent $13 for her and my daughter at Wendy's and had very delicious hamburger meals. 44 bucks versus 13 bucks. I expect so much more from Shake Shack than what I received tonight. I would suggest that the owner or manager try one of the mushroom truffle burgers and decide if this should remain on the menu.

If you're still on your weight loss journey but craving a delicious burger that won't derail your progress, I highly recommend Shake Shack. I tried the avocado burger with bacon and cheese, and it was honestly one of the freshest burgers I've ever had! The ingredients felt really high quality, and I didn't feel like I was sacrificing flavor for fewer calories. The customer service was excellent and very attentive. Plus, the ordering process was super convenient with their machines, so you can take your time customizing your meal. Although it's a fast-casual spot, the atmosphere is really welcoming, with nice TVs and a relaxed vibe that make it a great place to chill.

Delicious! We stopped here for a quick meal before a movie and it was super fast and convenient. We ordered on an iPad and found a spot to sit in the restaurant right away. They brought the food out to us within 10 mins! I ordered the Avocado Bacon Burger and it was so good! Also got a side of the crinkle fries. It was pretty quiet and calm when we went, which was nice that we could enjoy our burgers without a ton of noise. Overall I would recommend!

I love a good Shake Shack burger, and this location didn't disappoint. The building and outdoor patio area are attractive, clean and spacious. There are kiosks to place order or you can check out with cashiers. Great service!

I am writing this review based on having the food delivered to me by DoorDash, I do not know about the ambiance of the restaurant, I do know that the food always comes well packaged with nothing missing, so their takeout and packaging service is good! On to the food, its SO GOOD! I am definitely a Shake Shack girl when I'm craving a burger, fries, and a shake. I don't eat fast food/fast casual burgers very often, but when I do this is what I want. The burgers are always made exactly the way I request them with fresh ingredients and the perfect amounts of toppings and sauce. Their shakes are just as thick as I want them with yummy flavors, that's all I can ask from a fast casual restaurant. I pretty much loathe DoorDash but I deal with it so I can get some Shake Shack!

Service was super fast I ordered on the kiosk had a great meal I love all the tvs too so my cousin could catch the games on. It was so nice someone stopped by and checked on our meal too. Only minus was I wish the burger had a little more seasoning on it but the ketchup fixed that :D

Really good burger, didn't know what to expect with the cherry peppers but the burger was on point The coffee & donut shake took a couple of big gulps before it started tasting good The kimchi fries were so good and I would get again. I visited with my brother, we both ordered and pod individually at the kiosks, we both grabbed individual numbered order table markers, we both dined in. He got his order brought to our table, I had to go get mine. Minus 1 star. If that was the only customer service experience, because there wasn't any greeting when you walk in, I could have been consistent for both us with food brought to the table. The flavor of the burger and fries will bring me back though

We really love their burgers and the fries but they did forget both of our chicken bites orders. The milkshake was decent though and the lemonades were awesome.

First time here and this place is good! My girlfriend and I came in and were helped with our order instantly. Service was great. I ordered the Hot dog and the smoky classic burger and my girlfriend ordered the shack burger and we split some cheese fries. I can't choose which one was better because they all were great. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. It was nice to be comfy and eat dinner with some sports on TV. I will definitely be back soon.

Shake Shack review? Slow service, missed items in order, bland yet over salted burgers and fries. Only positive was the malt is very good. Not even close to ok No idea why service is slow. Plenty of staff and they pile up the burgers and fries under the heat lamp, while stalking up the beverages. They pulled a families order and left it on the counter letting it get cold while they yelled for the nuggets. Pro tip- if the order is not ready, leave what is under the heat lamps, not out on the cold counter top, until the order is complete I mean Culver's makes you burger to order and then they bring it to your table, all faster than the dozen of us standing around for our to go orders. And Culver's tastes good Honestly the burger they serve in the cafeteria at Fairview Southdale Hospital is better. I would rather eat at McDonald's, which is not a compliment

My friend has been talking about how good her chicken was on her Cesar salad was for quite some time. I finally decided to go to a restaurant for a salad, haha! She wasn't wrong. The grilled chicken was very moist. I will say the salad itself was over $20, so it's not the most bang for your buck, but it was delicious. Fried green tomatoes is one of my most favorite appetizers and this dish did not disappoint. The tomatoes themselves were sliced thinner than I prefer, but the spicy aioli was dang good. Would definitely come back and get either of these dishes again. We were sat at 7pm on a Sunday night. The bartender was the server and we weren't told that. We waited about 10 minutes until my friend had the bright idea to ask the bartender who is serving tables.

Ordered a simple shake... stood around for 10 minutes... it was just Sitting there I was one of 2 customers... 7 people were behind the counter

Quality so poor, qualifies as a "cheat at half the price "! Carelessly prepared, carelessly packaged ! Didn't even get the order right, didn't know this until back home. Almost 30 minutes after placing my order, unfriendly staff said not yet begun cooking; but then found my order buried under several other orders only after I seriously requested they look again. Burgers beyond well done, which I hadn't requested. Overall: Careless prep, pkg'ing; sour, stern uncaring staff, order errors ! A rip-off at half the price!!

Stopped for a quick dinner here with a couple people before heading downtown to a concert. Located in the outside of the Southdale mall, there is plenty of parking and easy to get to. Decided to meet here for a quick meal as it was centrally located for everyone. You can use the kiosk to make your order and then get a number and sit at the table and they will bring your food / drink. I ordered a beer and the id check didn't alert the staff to come check my id. I had to flag someone down. But once they validated, things went smooth. Ordered the Spicy ShackMeister and the wife ordered the ShackBurger. Ordered a fry to share and a beer and vanilla shake to drink. Food came out relatively quickly and was tasty. The spiciness of the ShackMeister was not overwhelming and the fries were good. The beer was cold and the shake creamy. Bright lights and plenty of seating. Big screen tvs showing games. Lively atmosphere. A decent meal that was quick and reasonable and satisfied the need. Would go again when the need arises. Appreciated that I could also order an adult beverage with my burger.

She DIDN'T WASH HER HANDS I normally love Shake Shack and hadn't had it in awhile and was craving it for lunch today. Everything was fine until the end I went to use the restroom and there was a female worker in there as well. After she went to the bathroom she left WITHOUT WASHING her hands. I'm honestly so disgusted. I will not be returning to this location.

I was shopping at Macy's today at Southdale, starving, and decided to go to Shake Shack. I had only had it one other time at the MOA location and loved it. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries on the app and headed over. It's a really nice store and I'm sure they are very busy. The first thing I noticed is that there were a lot of employees both in and out of the kitchen, could have been shift change, it was 3:46pm when I picked up my order. I sat down to wait bc I was a bit early. All of a sudden I heard a female voice e from the kitchen, yelling to the staff on the line, "I don't want to hear any attitude. If anyone has attitude there's the door," she pointed to the door. I assumed she was a supervisor. Im not sure what went on prior to that outburst but it was still very inappropriate. I've been in a leadership and HR roles for many years and I can't think of a single reason this behavior was appropriate by a manager at any time, especially in front of guests. In this climate, I would have walked out. Any ff chain would be delighted to have any of these staff working for them. I would like to personally thank all of the staff at this location for putting up with this kind of toxic leadership. The burger was under seasoned. That is all.

I've been a big fan of Shake Shake but not of this particular location. Came here after an afternoon of shopping to grab a little snack! It was in the middle of a Sunday afternoon. The cashier seemed as though I was bothering her just to order my cheese fries. Bummer! But the fries were delish. I'm also a big fan of their shakes and burgers. Hope next time is a better experience.

Exceptional service and food quality!! The ambience is inviting and beautiful definitely doesn't give fast food vibes.

So to start. I'm not a fan of shake shack. I've tried them all over. Nyc, CA, Chicago and many other places. Always find the burgers small and way too salty. But this location in Southdale is the exception. Burger and bun done perfectly. Nice buttery taste and fresh. Not salty at all. The cheese is perfectly melted and the add on ingredients are included for free and taste like they blend in rather than are just add ons. Also the ambience of the location is more upscale than most. Lots of tvs with the games on, spread out indoors and out, and nice use of woods and greenery. Very calming. Beer and wine available with many choices. I recommend this location highly.

the food was very good, i ate that shit up. But like, when i was trying to go to the bathroom, there were 3 employees just talking to eachother, making me uncomfortable because there is no reason there should be hearing me go to the bathroom, they couldve gone somewhere else, like outside or something. Also, the server just threw our food on the table and walked away. leaving us in shock.. this location needs to do better

A free standing Shake Shack outside of Southdale. Contemporary in appearance both inside and outside. Recently a party of six met here for a meal. We shoved together a few tables to accommodate us. I found the place somewhat noisy and conversation a challenge. I had a perfectly acceptable Cheeseburger while others had the ShackStack, traditional ShackBurgers and Bacon cheeseburgers. All were OK and inoffensive. Accompanying my Cheeseburger was a basket of undistinguished truffle parmesan fries. The decent crinkle cut fries were sprinkled with grated Parmesan and served with a small plastic ramekin of bland truffle dipping sauce. The cheese fries that were ordered by someone else were topped with a cheese sauce that looked like what one might expect at a fair or ballpark. The others stuck with the basic crinkle cuts and found them tasty enough. I chose the standard half 'n half which I found was average. One person had the shake of the day and thought it was good but not great. Plenty of free parking. Prices might be a bit high but are probably in line with other similar establishments. Ordinary food that can fill one's stomach and might satisfy an itch. Not worth driving out of your way to get something IMHO.

I understand the overall rating of this place...but I am a hugeee Shake Shack fan, I'll admit it. Shake shack is one of those fast food places that makes me alwayssss crave it at like 10pm on a Tuesday. Ok ok I know, technically shake shack is fast casual and not fast food but you get what I mean. I absolutely love their burgers, whatever sauce they put on them is just PERFECTION! Outside of their burgers, I also love their ice cream, lemonade, and fries. I'm a crinkle cut fry fan, so I loveeee shake shack's. They're the perfect amount of crispness, salty, and potato. I honestly haven't had shake shack's ice cream in awhile, but every time I've gotten it I've loved the flavors and creaminess. Overall, shake shack is a solid option for those looking to get a quick but delicious bite.

Very disappointed. The cashier refused to take my order because I was paying with a credit card. He said I have to use the tablet to order. That is ridiculous. They just lost our business.

I've driven by the location several times, heard they had great offerings, but had never given them a chance until recently. First, I ordered them through DoorDash. Everything was packaged well. The cheese fries were great and the cheese sauce was packaged separately as I had marked. This made it great for dipping after I heated it up a bit. I also tried the Chicken Shack sandwich with tomato, onion, and Shack sauce. I'd recommend you try both and especially the Shack sauce. A few weeks later, I ordered pickup for 2. It was ready when we got there and conveniently placed on a rack near the door. I decided to try the Avocado Bacon Burger this time and ordered the cheese fries again. This time, the cheese sauce was already on the fries and was a bit messy in the to-go packaging. I thought I selected to have the cheese sauce on the side but it was still fine on the fries to begin with, just a bit messier than having it separate. The other meal on the order was the Chicken Shack sandwich and regular fries. I was told both were delicious and that they liked the fries by themselves instead of the cheese fries they taste tested from my part of the order. Out of the two orders, I did like the Avocado Bacon Burger a bit more than the Chicken Shack sandwich. The burger will be my first choice when I order again. I also have yet to try their shakes so I'll have to add one to my next order! If you place a to-go or delivery order and order the cheese fries, make sure to select whether you want cheese sauce on the side or not. Ordering pickup on their site is super easy and convenient. Pickup orders are on a rack near the door and you can't miss the building on the busy corner of France and 66th.

We all enjoyed our single and it double w/bacon cheeseburgers. All of us that ordered the regular crinkle fries( although a little salty for me) enjoyed the crispness. My daughter did not like the cheese fries. The shakes outstanding (forgot to take pics) no worries I will be back. I ordered the non dairy chocolate, kids ordered Oreo and vanilla. We were not disappointed!!!!

Everytime I come to the Edina shake shack the staff is so friendly and helpful and the restaurant is so clean. I really appreciate how great the staff is!! The food is always great as well and comes out quickly. Thank you!!!!

happy hour good was good, service was terrible. sat with empty alcoholic and non-alcoholic (water) drinks for 10 or more minutes multiple times in one sitting. Tried it right branch out... not coming back, heading back to or normal spot

Loving this quick decision for a fast, late lunch. Four of us shared this bounty of food and fast service! Burger was good but chicken sandwich was my favorite. And get those yummy parmesan fries away from me!

Always love Shake Shack for their burger, shake, and fries! I just got cheesy fries since I wasn't too hungry and the fries were delicious! They were fresh out of the fryer. Plus I got the regular lemonade which was good but nothing too special with it. Overall recommend their cookies and cream shake as that's what my fiancé got and their burgers. I didn't have one this time but I've had some in the past and they were always delicious!

Kayla helped us tonight to use a gift card at the order counter, and she was so kind - great customer service!! We especially like the cheeseburger with the crispy onions, and the loaded fries are also good. We like to stop here before we go to the movies or make a trip to Southdale. The malts are also a highlight!

I have been a Shake Shack customer for over 10 years since I lived in NYC and frequently went to their original location. I have consistently had good burgers, fries, and milkshakes at this location. When you have kids and everyone is hungry on a Saturday afternoon, the Shack is a great option for quick, filling food that everyone will eat and not complain (too much). They generally get the orders correct without any mistakes. I feel like I am here at least a couple of times a month as they are easy to get to from routes 62, 100, and 494. Lunch? How far is the Shack? Order on the app and it is ready when we get there. Stuff ourselves in the parking lot and we are on our way.

I have enjoyed burgers twice recently at shake shack. Both times I ordered online for pick up and it was a smooth process. My food has always been ready on time. The burgers are delicious!

This location was horrible. There was no mustard on my burger and there was only half a pickle. It took them five minutes to bring me my food!!!! Outrageous!!!! I wanted my burger medium rare and it was medium well. I am so disappointed, they did not even give me salt and pepper shakers. There was also a lot of ice in my coke and I wanted light ice. NEVER Coming BACK!!!! You just lost a customer.

I stopped by dislocation, first time to get dinner, and I order from a little tablet I accidentally order chicken bacon in my order And I told the lady I did not eat bacon the lady was loud and rude and she said before she did that never want this location before I always like shake Sheik food and the chicken was a lot of salt in it and the fries was dry and I had a bad service. I'm not happy I never never gonna go back that location

The food here is outstanding. I love taking my kids here, we are treated with such kindness and respect the employees where also kind and welcoming into the restaurant. I would die for one of those burgers they are SO juicy and the fry's oh my gosh. You can't even get me started! Oh boy! Mhm

I usually love shake shack, but the food at this location tastes worse than the food from the other locations. I am not sure why? Maybe it is not as fresh? The customer service here was also pretty awful. The employees were not welcoming at all and just kinda stared at me and my family with mean looks while we ordered. The Oreo funnel shake was also overrated.

I've ordered from here a quite a few times (Shake Shack was my go-to when I was pregnant) and have never had a bad experience -- my food isn't always hot when it gets to me but that's because it's a ways away. So, definitely not on them. Their burgers are the best though and I'm always a sucker for cheese fries-- totally recommend both, but especially the ShackBurger!!

Went in to buy gift cards. Waited for nearly 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me, and this was at 11:15 AM half dozen customers in store. Purchased $100 in gift cards. When I returned home an ad poped up for $5 gift card for every $25 you spend. I wondered why this was not brought to my attention when I purchased $100 in gift cards. left a phone call that same day, message stated Manager would call me back within 24 hours. A week later nothing. Left another message, still nothing. Sent and email, still nothing. Guess there is no such thing as Cutomer service at EDINA location.

After landing in MSP and fetching my rental car, I was ready for dinner. My original thought was to visit Schlotzsky's Deli for sentimental reasons. The one that set off my love for the place, in Apple Valley, is long gone. There is a single one standing in Edina. I decided to drive over there on a soggy, rainy Saturday. I was probably a block away, waiting for the traffic light to change. I noticed this Shake Shake on the corner. It looked classy and bright in the dark. I changed my mind and pulled into the parking lot. I found a parking spot and walked in. The huge menu on the wall greets you. The idea is that you order at the counter, pay, and then wait for your order. I can do that. I wanted a burger with mushrooms in it. The woman at the counter was helpful. I could either go with the 'shroom burger, which is vegetarian, or do the shack stack, which is a cheeseburger with a 'shroom burger. I was hungry. I went with the latter. I made it a combo by adding crinkle-cut fries and a strawberry shake. I paid using a credit card. You need to give your card to the person to do the transaction. I'm so used to doing it myself that it'll take me some time to adjust. She asked whether it was still raining. Yep, it was miserable, but mild. I got a beeper. I found a table and waited patiently for my order. The table is really an indoor picnic bench. For folks with long legs, it's quite the ritual getting in and out. I should have tried the higher bar stools instead. Anyway, I'd say about seven minutes later, my beeper was going crazy on the table. I picked it up and headed over to the pick-up counter. I picked up my order for Mery. As of late, no one seems to be able to spell my name, other than the Starbucks guy yesterday. The world is changing at a frightening pace. I headed back to my table to chow down. The burger was so good. I normally don't like breaded mushrooms, but this one was juicy, flavourful, and fresh. The burger patty was equally as juicy and nicely seasoned. The bun was perfect. I got some ketchup to dunk my crinkle-cut fries in. The grooves are perfect to dunk whatever condiment or sauce that you'd like quite nicely. The fries were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, as they should be. My strawberry shake was thick. It's the frozen custard type. It's a close second to Culver's. The strawberry flavour was so good. I was so stuffed that I didn't know if I could get up and walk out on my own. I managed to waddle eventually. I visited the women's washroom before I left, as it was messy eating such deliciousness. It was clean and roomy. I will say that it's not a cheap burger joint. I shelled out $20 for my meal. It was worth it. My first time at Shake Shake was positive. I will return for more. (493)

Came in around 5:30 on a Saturday. The dining room was pretty full but there was no line to order. The staff was attentive and helpful. There were a few empty (and clean) tables available, so we opted for a booth. We helped ourselves to some water and our food was quick to come out after just a few minutes. The line did seem to back up a little as a few families came in, but staff was prepared. The burgers were hot and fresh. A little on the small side but perfect she-size. If I were a larger person/ man I probably would have wanted two burgers. I had ordered the Shack Meister with the addition of lettuce and tomato. It was delicious, the fried shallots definitely added a fun crunch to the soft bun and shack sauce. Crinkle fries were hot and crisp! The concrete hopscotch thing was a little dissatisfying. The flavor was good, but the chunks were a bit to large and hard for me. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I wish I would have gone with a shake. On a side not, for some reason it came with the tiniest of spoons...kinda cute but no very functional. Overall it was a good experience, and tasty burger. Very family oriented, tons of families with small kids. The vibe on a Saturday night was a really fancy McDonald's with better food.

Shake Shack makes for an excellent late night snack. We've been here a few times and the food is always satisfying. Their shakes are outstanding and never disappoint as well, I definitely recommend the Oreo cookie shake. I got my food to go, however the staff seemed very in-tune to the needs of those dinning in.

This was my 2nd time at Shake Shack and I'm craving it already. The Chick'n Shack sandwich with the pickles is what had me. It did not let down! If you have never been here, there a few things you need to know. Each location has a local charity they donate 5% of sales. They also use all natural ingredients and nothing processed. Also... they use all compostable cups, straws and silverware. You will expect to pay a little more to check off all these boxes.... worth it! Food: Chick'n Shack sandwich is crispy and juicy with amazing flavor and pickles! They are amazing and I order extra. :) There is also a seasoned sauce on it. Evil good! Crinkle cut fries and cheese fries: The cheese fries are awesome! They do not use a nacho cheese processed sauce, but real cheese! These were grubbin and tasty. Shakes: Pumpkin Shake (seasonal and ended 11-11... boo!). I am looking forward to the next seasonal shake! We also tried the chocolate. The flavor was a surprise to me as I was expecting the standard chocolate shake. Nope! This was more like a dark, rich chocolate. So good! I will be back and thanks to your amazing team for another awesome meal! Keep doing what you are doing!

First came to Shake Shake with some friends when we were craving some burgers! I was super excited to come here, I heard it was really good. We came on a Saturday for lunch and it was not too busy which was nice. When looking at their menu, it was hard decided what to get, it all sounds amazing. I stuck with the regular double cheeseburger and got some cheese fries on the side. Also got a chocolate shake! You get a pager here which buzzes when your food is ready. Super easy to get! The food was decent. I wasn't impressed with the food. The burger itself was not bad, it was very tasty. The cheese fries weren't good, or rather the cheese. The fries by itself would taste good, but the solidified cheese on top was not great. The Shake was very good though, my favorite part of the whole meal. I would come back for the chocolate shake alone. Overall though, the restaurant has a cool look to it, is pretty clean, and it does have a cool covered patio. I will come back again, probably try something else!

The latest spot for this hip chain that serves old school burgers and shakes. Positives: love the food especially the great seared burgers-a great throw-back. Also nice friendly guy taking orders-super patient with the families with kids who take forever to relay their orders. Plenty of parking-although an odd configuration. Bright interior-all glass exterior so like a big fishbowl. Opportunities: dining room could use a little cleaning at 6:20 pm on a weekday. Complicated menu seems to drag things out with ordering especially with the many families. A really long wait for food (but cooked fresh and hot). For me, the food and friendly service are what I'm looking for so that's 4 stars but the untidy dining room and long wait for fast food drops it to 3.
