Had an amazing experience at Shake Shack! The male server who delivered our burgers was incredibly energetic and full of smiles. He served our food swiftly and diligently, explaining everything clearly, all while keeping a positive, lively vibe throughout the restaurant. He really set the tone for the whole place, making it feel welcoming and well managed, and the cleanliness of the tables and surroundings was noticeable too. Truly a standout example of excellent service, definitely deserves praise!

Delicious burgers and milkshakes. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Gets very crowded and hard to find a table to sit at. Does have some counters to stand up and eat also. Has a restroom for customers. Free cups of water.

Love their burgers! I always get them well done. They are nice and juicy and the best with lettuce tomato and onions. My baby had a mix of ice cream chocolate and vanilla with Oreo topping and he loved it. The staff was very accommodating attentive and friendly.

Stopped by Shake Shack Theatre Street, NYC for a late-night bite, and even at 10 PM, the place was packed—a testament to its popularity, but also a reminder that you might need to wait for a table. Ambience was nothing special, just your typical fast-casual setup, but the food made up for it. Tried the Truffle Burger, and it delivered-tender, juicy patties with deep, rich flavors that didn't disappoint. The milkshake? A standout! Fragrant, creamy, and indulgent without feeling too heavy. Bonus points for table delivery, which made the experience smoother. If you don't mind the crowd, it's a solid spot for a satisfying, late-night burger fix. Would I return? Yes, if I am looking for a quick meal.

It pains me to due this but out of principle I have to rate this location a 1 star. First off, I tried ordering on the app in advance to get my order done ahead of time but it has me running around in circles so Shake Shackntech management better get that fixed because I have no problem ordering from any other fast food app. 2nd the location has no kiosk so I can't take advantage of any online offers which would've greatly discounted what I wanted from there and without that I can't use any of those offers because I can't redeem them ordering in person. I have non ssue with the woman behind the counter because she explained the issue with me with the utmost of courtesy but at the end of the day, I still can't get my food with a great deal over there so this place is utterly useless if you want to order your food ahead of time.

The burgers were incredibly delicious. The shakes are a MUST TRY! We tried chocolate as well as cookies and cream shake –pure bliss! Thick and yummy! The only downside was the wait for seating. Service was quick and efficient. The food was definitely worth the wait. Overall, highly recommend this spot for a tasty, satisfying meal!

Got the Korean style Burguer. This was the best Burguer from all the locations they have in NY.

3rd time in New York. My friend and I were looking for a place to eat before a show. We noticed a bunch of people going into this building. We looked up at the sign and saw "Shake Shack." I have heard much about Shake Shack. Friends been telling me to go try it out. I have always told them to have the classic burgers from California establishments so it was only fair that I tried this out. I just had a regular burger with cheese, some fries, and a drink. And wow this one of the best burgers I have ever had. My friend and I were so amazed about the quality of the food. Dare I say it, I like this burger more than I do an In-N-Out one! Love it. 5/5

Very nice set up! It's perfecto work in and decided what line you need to go , I ordered from there App ! And it was ready at 4 pm ! Plenty of seats and there have a table station for napkins and Silverware! I ordered their Smokey bbq cheese burger, (double ) )not too bad ! A decent side burger , but sides are Extra

The burger was pretty good BUT the onion rings were absolutely perfect! Of course it was crowded with very little seating BUT what in NYC isn't crowded!

Only reason I mark down a star is because they got my order wrong when I ordered online. However, the service was great; the restaurant was busy but they were still efficient. Enjoyed the burgers, fries, and limited edition banana pudding shake which was beyond delicious! Great Shake Shack location.

Perfect dinner stop near the theaters! We came here for a casual dinner while walking around Midtown, and this Shake Shack did not disappoint. Quick service, friendly staff, and they even bring the food right to your table, which is such a nice touch when you're tired from the city hustle. The food was exactly what you hope for -- juicy burgers, crispy crinkle fries, and one fun surprise: fried pickles in a light, flavorful batter! It's that kind of small detail that makes you want to come back. There's lots of seating, which was honestly surprising for the area. Clean tables, good spacing -- it's the kind of fast food place where you actually want to sit down and enjoy your food. First, I love Shake Shack, and this was not my first visit to one. This was my first visit to this location however and was extremely disappointing. Not even close to hot food. We went during off hours, first mistake, as 10pm the night before the line was out the door. Walked in at 4 pm-ish and no wait and tables readily available. Ordered at the kiosk and food was out in about 5 minutes. Which, for most places that's great timing, but the burgers seemed to have been in a warmer pan since lunch. The fries were only moderately warm as well. I know it's fast food, and it's mostly a crap shoot as to freshness, but mediocre is what I expect from a $5 burger at McDonald's and excited when it's hot and fresh, but at $13 for a cheeseburger I really expect better quality and freshness. If you door-dash this, expect a freezing cold burger.

This location gets packed! It'll be hard to find a table to sit down at, but there's plenty of bar tables to stand and eat at. The employees aren't that friendly and don't walk around to pick up trays. The food was great. The food came out hot. The fries weren't too salty and the burger was seasoned perfectly.

Came here for a quick bite on my way out of town. Very crowded when I came. The place was packed. No seating. Considering it was a weekend night, its understandable. Got a shack burger, fries, and a shake and ate it in on the counter. I was lucky to even find a place to eat there. Shack burger has a good charred ground beef flavor. Patty is a bit small, though. The beef tastes like real meat, unlike fast food chain burgers. Fries were crispy and I enjoyed the sugar cookie shake.

The service was fast. The food was good and moderately priced for Times Square. I appreciated my order being brought to my table.

I can't say if this location has changed from my last review because I realized somehow the wrong location popped up when I did a check-in and wrote a review for the wrong location. So, I will gracefully still give what I gave for my last review and write my review in the right location. That would be for the Herald Square location. Still love the food. Service is always pleasant. So that is all. Thumbs up and Happy Yelping!

I was surprised by how good this place is. I was not expecting much, but the burger was absolutely amazing. I came here after an event at MSG and it wasn't too busy. I was able to find a place to sit and enjoy my food. The chocolate milkshake was the perfect way to end my meal.

Uber ordered. No option for ketchup/ranch. Called restaurant. Manager: yes sir I'll make sure we put it in the bag. Uber come, no ketchup/ranch. Kids cry, I go to lobby. Hotel restaurant closed. Nice lady say yes I still give you some. I come back to room. Kids happy. We eat. I go write bad review for shake shack. Case closed.

This chain restaurant offers a place for a quick meal in the Times Square area. Offering standard fast food fare with their own twist. It was standing room only pretheater.

When in Rome Sadly I was a little disappointed this time around compared to others. I always get the shroom burger and fries. Fries were delicious as usual but burger just didn't hit. I don't think it was made well because usually shake shack slaps. Clean inside and nice staff, maybe it was an off day ...

Massive Shake Shack in the middle of a tourist hotspot area, so I'd avoid visiting during peak hours for obvious reasons. Dined in around dinner time and was immediately drawn to the shoom burger! Along with that, we got an order of cheese fries. Prices, as expected, are on the higher end. Shroom burger was fantastic. Massive panko breaded cheese mushroom with melty cheese. Bread was a great vessel, as it also had tomatoes, lettuce and some sort of sauce. Cheese fries were a-okay. Crinkle cut with a thickened cheese sauce; I'd stick with regular fries next time. All in all, a great fast meal that satisfied my tastebuds!

Really sad that I have to leave this review but damn! Ordered a chicken sandwich from this location and the disappointment when it came. This sandwich was so fucking SMALL!! The chicken looked like a child and could fit in the palm of my hand. I could make this thing at a damn bbq for less and it would be worth the price. Which, might I add, cost me $10 fucking dollars!! If you're gonna charge that much for a sandwich (no side or drink) make it worth it. Didn't taste too great either. The seasoning was horrible. NEVER going there again!

Burgers were excellent here - perfectly smashed and every bite was a delicious combo of patty, cheese, and sauce. The cheesy fries were good too, the cheese sauce had a nice tang to it. Definitely would come back here if they had a place to sit.

I never had a bad experience until this time. At shake shack, I normally expect a quality burger. However, I was disappointed this time I ordered the Hot Ones Burger and was really excited to eat something spicy. However, when I got the burger, it wasn't even hot. The burger was room temperature. You can even see from the picture that the cheese couldn't even melt. In terms of the sauce, I could barely taste any sauce. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch or this is how the Hot Ones Burger is Fries were good but I came for the burger

Shake Shack makes a mean burger and amazing shakes! I wanted to try the Hot Ones burger and it was really good. Unfortunately they didn't have any more of the last dab sauce, but maybe that was crisis averted and for the better haha. I thought the Hot Ones burger was pretty good. The sauce wasn't as hot as I thought it would be, but I guess they make the burger for the masses. Normally I order the shack stack and I'm glad I got to try something new. I also got fries of course and a shake. I ended up trying the pumpkin one because it's limited and it was so so so good. I did take out and was also surprised that the wait for my burger wasn't very long.

This shake shack is in the middle of the most touristy area in Manhattan , so I was expecting it to be a tourist trap and I was glad I was proved wrong. The logistics are simple, you line up by the door and you walk in straight into the cashier where you place your order. It is very organized and a good way to keep the indoor crowd under control. After placing the order, you wait around while you find a table or stools by the bar, which doesn't take too long. I ordered a classic burger, a side of fries and the seasonal chocolate churro milkshake. The burger was delicious, cooked with just the right amount of char and highly satisfying. The fries were nothing to special but a good addition to the meal. The Churro milkshake, however, was OUT OF THIS WORLD. It was probably over 900 calories, but it as sooooo good . A New York staple for a reason. Will make sure to come back

By far the busiest Shake Shake I've ever been to dozens of times, this is my first time writing an actual review! The queue to get in is normally long, there is a security guard on duty which helps with people's safety. The restaurant purposely locks the doors at the street corner portion of the restaurant to keep beggars and loitering from entering. They are also pet friendly and offers alcohol too. Restroom code is usually printed on your receipt, but while there is so much foot traffic, customers just piggy back off the last person exiting the restroom doors. So busy all throughout the day as Broadway Theatre's have both matinee and evening showtimes. What I ordered was a double smoke shack, french fries, and a large sprite. It was so yummy and messy I finished it within 10 minutes lol!

Honestly, it's not my favorite Shake Shack ever, but it was close to the theater I had a show at and I didn't want to wander too far. We arrived around 5:15pm and there was no line to get in or order. We couldn't find a table, so was just loitering by the stand up tables in the middle until a table cleared up. Food took about 15 minutes to arrive and our cheese on the side request was not honored. They also didn't have any of the special drinks on the menu - they only had lemonade or strawberry lemonade. I think this place is branch is super popular because it's so close to Times Square and the theater district. But I feel like the burgers here are always not great - probably because they're so busy all the time. I think I'll walk a bit further and hit up another restaurant next time.

As a New Yorker, I try to avoid Times Square altogether. But when you just get out of a Broadway show and didn't have dinner before, sating your hunger is worth fighting the crowds. When we went on a Thursday around 10PM, the place was packed. The bright side is that ordering was quick and easy, as there were three cashiers taking orders. The not-so-great part was the wait time to get our food. While the lines to order were short, the group of people waiting to receive their orders was ever-expanding. We had to continually maneuver to let staff by who were coming and going from the back room, sometimes with rolling carts. After about a 15 minute wait, we secured the bag. Our burgers were still relatively warm after our train ride home to Brooklyn, and, as someone who never seeks out a Shake Shack and has only had it three times in her life, the burger was pretty solid. Little bit of char on the patty, fresh veggies, good bread. No notes. I also had a cookies & cream shake for the ride home, which was delicious and didn't last long. I kind of wish there were bigger cookie pieces in the shake like a Blizzard, but I guess they want you to be able to slurp the whole thing through a straw. I'm no SS aficionado, but this was a solid 10PM quick (for Times Square) dinner.

I had never gone to Shake Shack since the line outside was so dense and I felt it was not worth the effort. i was in the mood for a burger the other night and was looking around for options and saw that I was able to walk into Shake Shack without waiting so in I went. I looked over the menu, [the place was crowded] and decided on the single Shack burger. I was given a number and told to take a seat and someone would bring my burger to me. I sat down, started looking at my phone and shortly after, my burger arrived. It comes in a paper pouch so you can eat it without getting your hands dirty,. The burger was grilled and came with their special sauce, lettuce and tomato. The burger was excellent and I wolfed it down. It was comparable in price to other burgers in the area, maybe a little more but it was good. I would recommend and return.

Very friendly staff and a nice, clean space. But the burgers would be so much better if they weren't so overcooked.

Great place to stop for a quick bite before a show! My friend and I only had like 15 minutes to order and eat before lining up for a play, and Shake Shack definitely delivered. For a grand total of $14, my shroom burger and fries were one of the cheapest meals I've had in NYC recently. Everything was tasty and hit the spot, although I do wish the shroom burger was bigger.

The worse SHAKE SHACK EVER!! I ordered and I'm in person and it took them 20 minutes to bring me my to go order. They spent more time socializing than getting your order. I had 10 people come after me and they got their order on time. NEVER EVER AGAIN!! Chic Fi La will get my money

I never review fast food chains, but the experience and food here was so nice, I just had to give a shout out. The workers are so pleasant, so friendly, so helpful, and the food came out fresh, crispy and delicious. They also have free cups and a water station, which was really appreciated, and plenty of seating for solo eaters or whole groups. Well done!

The workers here were super nice! The food always meets expectations. Shake Scheck has great quality control. This is our favorite burger place. The burgers are always cooked so well. The chocolate peanut butter shake was a special treat, too. Loved the green and red topping--which made it a special holiday treat!

Shake Shack is one of my favorite foods. I was in heaven when I was living in San Diego because there were two locations really close to me that was less than a 10 min drive. On my last day in NY, we were waiting for our greyhound bus at Port Authority and I saw that Shake Shack was nearby so I made an online order for pickup. I got a shack burger and bacon and cheese fries which are my favorite. My order was ready for me when I arrived and everything was made perfect! Too bad I didn't have a chance to dine in though. I would have wanted to dine in at a New York Shake Shack location. Oh well, maybe next time! I'm also excited because a Shake Shack is opening here in Walnut Creek,CA where I live! Woohooo!

This is my favorite location! I'm there frequently, right after opening. The food is always prepared quickly and is delicious. Staff members are courteous, and the restaurant is always clean. Later in the day, it gets pretty crowded, but they do try to move the food out quickly.

I LOVE shake shack and it feels like a new york staple; however this location did not impress. The inside was very small and crowded. There were not many tables open for seating, and turnover seemed a little slow. The quality of food at this location also did not reach the standard of other shake shacks. The chicken and fries tasted way greasier-- even more so than the shake shack I consumed 3 days later at the airport just down the road. We were in a time crunch before show tickets; therefore, dinner here allowed us to get in and out in time for our show!

First things first, I'm a West Coast native so In N Out is still top of its class. But Shake Shack is an undeniably great burger, just a bit in the pricey side. There's always fun changes to the menu that make you come back to try the new styles. Tried the White Truffle burger today, and it did not disappoint. Ordered on the app while I was on the subway home from work and it was ready for me to pick up less than 10 minutes. Cruised in and enjoyed the delish burger immediately at home. Definitely worth the try, a solid go-to burger on the go for me!

Had to finish off the night with a double shack burger and fries. Burgers are consistently cooked and packed with juicy flavor, and the shack sauce remains the top dog of the major burger chains. Only thing I will say is that my order was to go and they rarely hook you up with ketchup for your fries. I would think that it'd be pretty automatic but I guess they try to cut costs and only provide if you call them up and specify.

Food often not even delivered.... Cannot call for help...no one answers... In times it did come, it was cold and tough. This is the worst Shake Shack in the city.

Quick service. Hot food. It's in the center of everything so not many seating options when it's packed but they do get the food out pretty quickly. The place is also very clean and the staff is very attentive.

Food was very good but service was so bad. Took forever to get food after ordering they should let you know estimated time when ordering. It was very busy and very noisy no place to sit.

Service: This was now my second time at this location, but first time during peak dinner time on a Sunday afternoon. I really think the system should be better in terms of the pickup area -- it was just way too hectic and I didn't even get a buzzer. I had to hear for my name to be yelled then move my way into the crowd to retrieve my food. Food: My burger and bun were a little burnt (and actually disappoint my crispy) this go around, which I wasn't a fan of. The fries were cooked fine, and I also got a cookies and cream shake which was delicious. Mostly because of this location right near Times Square, I don't think I would return. I would probably go to another location which there are tons of all over NYC.

I've heard about this place from so many people who are from NY or lived here. They're adamant that this is such a great place. It's the same way people are about In N Out in California. Let me tell you, it is nowhere near as good as In N Out, not that In N Out is great or something but it does fast food chains well. I came to this specific location because it's the most popular, so logically it should be the best right? Do people come here because it's near a touristy area or is it because there's something special about the food, service, or both? Spoiler alert: It's neither. Got the Shroom burger, smoke stack, and the Shack Stack (it's essentially a smoke stack with a shroom burger). And a side of bacon cheese fries. Yes, I was going for the diabetic heart attack meal. There was a huge line coming here, but no organization at all. 2 lines and people confused which line they should be in. It extended to outdoors so it added to more confusion. Apparently when I got to the front, one line was taking cash only and the other debits/credit only. I can tell you the staff here is vibing out. They're yelling, commenting, roasting, and beep bopping along with everyone. There are a couple of workers just standing around not doing anything. I assume they were trying to direct traffic, but doesn't seem like it. Could have tried to help reduce the lines or confusion or something, but no. Took it to go since I didn't really want to eat in, and there wasn't a lot of seating available. The cheese fries came with the bacon and cheese in containers. There's got to be a better way to prepare this. It looked all plasticy and fake, and it didn't move when I tried to pour it. Fries were dry and the bacon overcooked. Not a big fan of the shroom burger texture. It's a fried whole Portobello mushroom cap with cheese inside of it. My friend loves this burger, but it was a giant miss for me. Which also means Shack Stack is problematic for this same reason. The smoke stack was the best one. At least the bacon wasn't overcooked, the texture feels like a burger, and the sauce complemented the entire thing. Overall a bad experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

You can't go to NYC without having shake shack. My favorite thing at shake shack honestly isnt the burger, but really more the milk shake! Great for a pre/post-theatre bite although prices are high for fast food.

Oh yum!! Finally got to try Shake Shack in New York and it did not disappoint. The staff was really friendly and pretty quick with their service. The place was really crowded during dinner time but was still able to place order pretty quickly. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because there was no seating. We had to stand and eat but it's honestly not their fault. It was during busy hours which shows this place is definitely a must while in New York!!! Def coming back again before vacation is over.

It's a strange eerie feeling passing this Shake Shack and not see the placed pack with tourists pushing against the windows and line up out the door 20 to 50 deep. But these are the times we live in now. I came here to try out the new Korean-inspired Chicken Sandwich and fries. The chicken breast is dipped in sweet Gochujang-glazed and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. on top of white kimchi slaw on a bun. And the fries that come with orange Ochujang mayo sauce made from Korean chili paste. Kimchi is a seriously tasty staple of Korean cuisine made from salted, seasoned, and fermented veggies, such as cabbage, daikon radish, and onion. The fries are your Shake Shack regular crinkle-cut fires. Well, the toasted sesame seeds were missing from my chicken, the kimchi slaw just makes the bun mushy. The chicken was OK, without the Gochujang it had no taste. And I found no difference between the Shake Shack fries and the frozen bag of bland fries I can get at the supermarket. On the plus for me was the Kimchi and the Gochujang is mild, white boy spicy and had some sweet tastes to it, so you don't have to worry about any heat being pack here. The menu says I was not impressed, as a matter of fact, I was very disappointed this supposed to be 'Shake Shack' but it was no better than that food stall that you would find in one of those two-day conferences at the convention center we used to go to. Plus adding Gochujang to plan chicken and fries doesn't make it Korean.

My first time trying the Shake Shack shakes. Here are the three I've tried: 1. Christmas Cookie: sugar cookie custard topped with holiday sprinkles, whipped cream, and crumbled shortbread. 2. Chocolate Spice: holiday-spiced chocolate custard mixed with crumbled chocolate cookies and topped with cinnamon & whipped cream 3. Candy Cane Marshmallow: peppermint & marshmallow mixed with vanilla custard and topped with whipped cream & crumbled candy canes. If you're on a diet, you may want to avoid these high caloric frozen custards. All three shakes are full of sugar, especially the Christmas Cookie and Candy Cane Marshmallow. My personal favorite was the Chocolate Spice because the cinnamon brings a unique flavor aside from the sweetness. However, the other two shakes had a distinctly festive vibe. The shakes were thick and creamy; needed a spoon.

A proper beef cheeseburger and panko-fried mini-mushroom pies with Portobello mushrooms sandwiched between multiple melted cheeses. At least one burger is a must!
