"Shancheng Lameizi is a chain from Beijing that specializes in Chongqing-style hot pot. Their spicy beef broth is oily but balanced, with an extra emphasis on the “ma” part of mala (your mouth will be number than after a dental visit). Non-spicy options are limited, but the meat and veggies are on the cheaper side, with plenty of variety. Best of all is the sauce bar. It’s a little pricey at $6 per person, but the selection of house-made sauces, cold appetizers, and desserts makes other places look stingy. The San Gabriel location also has a huge covered patio, and it’s big enough that you won’t have to wait long even on the weekends." - Andrew Ryce

"This Beijing-founded restaurant chain serves up Chongqing-style hot pot, which is famous for its mouth-numbing soup. The half-and-half pot brings balance to the table, with spicy and numbing flavors on one side and rich bone broth on the other. The range of mix-ins runs the gamut from fish balls to pig brains." - Cathy Chaplin

Google
One of the better hotpot places locally and possibly a new favorite. Ingredients are fresh and the sauce bar has a plethora of snack choices. Although not all you can eat, the prices are very fair and surprisingly low for such quality. Service was pretty fast. The atmosphere is historic in a very cozy way.

Google
The coconut ice jelly is delightful, and they offer a variety of domestic snacks. The medium spice level is already delicious. The bone broth is excellent, and I plan to try the pig brain next time. The service is also great.

Google
Shancheng Lameizi Restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with authentic Sichuan flavors. Their hotpot is a standout, customizable with a variety of fresh ingredients and served in a rich, perfectly spiced broth. Other highlights include the Mapo Tofu and Kung Pao Chicken, each dish expertly balanced and bursting with flavor. Coupled with prompt, friendly service, this restaurant is a must-visit for lovers of spicy, aromatic cuisine.

Google
Cool and historic interior. Service is excellent, food is not bad but where I come from - Vancouver Canada definitely has better hotpot restaurants there. Portion is generous, price is reasonable, soup base is a bit bland. The dipping sauce and snack bar is amazing, has so many options there. Parking could be challenging. It seems very popular too, so be sure to get on the wait list early as they don’t take reservation. Overall, we had a good time here.

Google
Chongqing style hotpot which typically means very spicy. We ordered half mild spicy and half non spicy broth and the mild spicy broth was quite strong. Good decorations inside. Not all you can eat style. You need to order individual items. A bit pricey but there are some free snacks at sauce bar. The spicy broth was quite greasy (real Chongqing style). Would be nice to have some fresh fruits at snack/sauce bar. Overall a good place to try Chongqing style hotpot.

Google
The environment was very nice, and the staff was professional. Always loved the appetizer they provided. The restroom always has toot floss, brush, and others that could help you to feel fresh after having hotpot.

Google
Great authentic flavors, not too difficult to get a table and parking lot right outside make it very convenient. Nice big tables for group gatherings. Sauce bar is in point, they also keep it wiped down and clean. Flavors are authentic and can get very spicy if ya aren't ready, so be prepared! Staff is friendly and works quickly without getting sloppy. Decor's great.

Google
This is the fanciest hotpot restaurant I have been to. Their menu is very versatile, they have an amazing sauce, appetizer and desert bar. Definitely on the higher end regarding price. If you are used to “all you can eat” restaurants, you will get a surprise when you see the bill. Overall i think it is worth it. Btw their fried rice is absolutely phenomenal!!

Yelp
I enjoy coming here for lunch. We usually order the beef and the lamb shoulder. I get the spinach for my vegetable choice so we're not just eating meat. The service is decent. They greet you promptly as you enter and you order with a piece of paper. The ambiance is usually busy but lately it's not as crowded. Today there were only 3 other tables during the lunch rush while we were eating.

Yelp
My new favorite hot pot place now that Wu Ming suddenly closed down! Been looking for a place that actually had delicious full flavorful broth. I think I finally found that place! The ingredients here are top notch and the portions they give are plentiful in my opinion. I got the beef and lamb meat combo and the vegetable combo with several other individual dishes and I and my eating partner were quite full. Another really great thing about the place is the sauce bar. It's pretty high quality sesame/peanut sauce and they have so many other options, I was just really happy with how my sauce turned out. I feel like you can just taste the difference here compared to like an AYCE hot pot place. The broth and quality of ingredients is on a different level If there are some changes they can make, I would ask them to add beef tendon and ramen noodles to the menu But I look forward to coming back again!

Yelp
Our visit to Shancheng Lameizi was a true hotpot feast, offering a fantastic array of high-quality ingredients and a vibrant, bustling atmosphere. This spot is a paradise for hotpot lovers, with premium beef cuts, an extensive vegetable selection, and an impressive variety of sauces to customize each bite. The quality of the beef was outstanding--tender, flavorful, and perfect for hotpot. Each cut was beautifully marbled, adding a rich depth of flavor to the broth. The fresh vegetables were abundant, with everything from classic mushrooms and leafy greens to unique seasonal options, adding balance to each dish. The sauce station was a standout! With so many different sauces, oils, and seasonings to choose from, it was easy to create personalized dipping sauces that elevated each bite and added layers of flavor to the meal. On top of that, the cold side dish buffet was a welcome addition, offering a refreshing variety of dishes to enjoy while waiting for the hotpot to heat up. The dessert buffet was a sweet touch, with a range of treats that made for a perfect ending to the savory meal. The mango pudding and mochi were particularly memorable! With friendly, efficient service and a lively ambiance, Shancheng Lameizi delivered an authentic and enjoyable hotpot experience that's perfect for gathering with friends or family. We can't wait to come back for another round of delicious hotpot!

Yelp
Love that you can waitlist online! The parking lot isn't that big unfortunately. My parents liked this place and wanted me to try it. They have a small buffet bar but not many options mostly just sauce items, chips, nuts, and dessert. I enjoyed my tomato soup, flavorful and hearty. Meat was nice too. I like the interior design of this place! It is not ayce but instead you order what you'd like. They have a lot of combo plates like tofu, meat, and veggies. Price is a little more expensive but I think it's worth it once in awhile! They have spicy soup options as well of you're into that.

ChiaChun T.

Yelp
I came here with friends for a late lunch, and while the restaurant wasn't busy, the overall experience was just average. The service was okay but nothing special. My biggest issue was with the water--they gave me two cups that tasted strange, almost like bleach. It wasn't until the third cup that it tasted right, which was a bit off-putting. As for the food, it was just okay--nothing stood out. Overall, it's not a place I'd rush back to, but it's decent if you're in the area and craving hot pot.

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Solid hot pot place, comparable to China (not as spicy, but probably the best you can get in the US). I really liked their snack bar at this location! The coconut jelly was so good!

George F.

Yelp
Shancheng Lameizi located near the corner of San Gabriel and Valley Blvd. offers authentic Szechuan hot pot. A converted burger fast food teriyaki place the interior is not very big but is popular. There is a multitude of veggie and protein offerings. Each of them ala carte so it can be pricey. The soup bases are good but the best accoutrement is their extensive sauce bar. Along with the sauce bar there are some desserts. Service is good. Parking is limited but in the evenings there is an empty bank lot right next door.

Sarah S.

Yelp
My go to hot pot place! Love their soups, condiments, fresh veggies & meat! My absolute fav is getting the shrimp paste and wrapping it in the fried tofu rolls (must try)! I come monthly so see you in another few weeks!

Karen L.

Yelp
Authentic Szechuan hot pot. Has all the usual items and the tomato broth is pretty flavorful if you want a non-spicy option. They have a mini bar with all the sauces and sides, plus some tasty desserts. My fave from there was the coconut jelly which has a nice addition of crunchy flakes that adds a nice texture and flavor. Faves for the hot pot itself was the ribeye and shrimp paste, the latter of which was served by the staff as they scooped them into balls for the soup. I would avoid the beef balls because they were pretty tough for my liking. Also the rice noodles require a lot of cooking and were still pretty chewy after a while.

Yelp
Favorite ala carte hot pot place in the San Gabriel area. If you're planning to dine here on weekends the line starts forming around 6pm, so come accordingly. The sauce bar area is narrow and tight so beware. If spicy hot pot is your thing- definitely give LMZ a try.

Alex H.

Yelp
Best hotpot in the area Flavors of broth is amazing, meat has great quality and sauce bar is abundant. Everything you could ask for.

Queena Z.

Yelp
Honestly the best Shancheng Lameizi I've been to (been to Irvine and Fremont location). They have the best snacks options that any hot pot places I've been to. The service was excellent and the food was great, definitely authentic. This might be my new go to hot pot place in SGV!

Justin H.

Yelp
Ambiance - 5/5 - Love the setup. Gives an old-timey Chinese vibe. I don't know how I feel about the outdoor seating for hot pot though. Service - 5/5 - Fast and quick service. Food - 4/5 - The flavors were delicious but everything was just not quite at the level where I would give it a 5/5 rating. Per Yelp's rating system...good but not excellent. With that said, you can't go wrong with anything you order. Enjoy!

Yelp
Shancheng Lameizi in San Gabriel has become my go-to for Chinese hotpot in the SGV. The flavorful and spicy soup base, coupled with an enticing sauce and appetizer bar, makes the dining experience delightful. Whether it's the Fried Dough Sticks, Duck Blood, Yam Noodles, or a variety of proteins, each item swims perfectly in the spicy hotpot broth. The attentive waitstaff ensures a smooth dining experience. Amidst the bustling ambiance, with lots of people enjoying hotpot with friends & family, Shancheng Lameizi stands out as the spicy symphony to savor.

Yelp
The restaurant is very well decorated with Chinese elements. Pretty spacious between tables. I also like their sauce area, lots of sauce options to make your own hotpot sauce plus appetizers and desserts. I don't see lots options for broth, mostly just different spicy levels and 3/4 more non spicy options. However, for hotpot food, they have plenty choices. We order half spicy (medium) and half non spicy (pork bone) broths. If you like spicy, I think this is the place for you. Not sure if they have different prices for lunch and dinner. We went there for lunch and it's about $150 for 4 people and NO wait time at all. (They are busy for dinner most of days)

Yelp
I recently visited Shangcheng Lameizi for the very first time with a friend to get some spicy hot pot. It exceeded my expectations in every way possible! FOOD You choose the soup bases, which you can have 2 of (half half). We got a bone broth base and the other one, medium spicy mala base. The medium was quite spicy so i woudn't get the spiciest one unless you're good with spice. Both soup bases were very tasty!! You order items ala-carte, and when the items did come (fish balls, lotus root, veggies, meat etc) I was surprised by the generous portion size. Glad we didn't over-order! For just 2 people you can get away with just ordering 2 meat dishes, depending on how much you eat. SAUCE/DESSERT BAR - you get your own sauces at the sauce bar, and can concoct whatever style you fancy. They also had a large variety of desserts as well which was so fun and delicious. I love asian desserts!! SERVICE Service was really good too, they often came around to make sure you had enough soup, weren't overcooking your noodles, etc. PRICE REASONABLE PRICE. Gotta love this in times of inflation. WILL BE BACK!!

Yelp
I've been coming here since they opened as it's my fav hot pot spot in town! They have a variety of base flavors of soup you can select-- and even a pot split half and half for those that are dining that can take spicy and ones that can't. They have lots of veggies and meats to choose from. Best part is the unlimited self-serve station with a variety of sauce flavors you can mix yourself. Also at the station are snacks, some traditional desserts and sesame balls-- freshly made.. soo good! The reason for 3 stars is due to my last visit, I had some concerns. At one of the tables adjacent to me, a lady brought 2 fluffy white dogs in the restaurant and allowed them to sit at the table. I'm sure this is a health code violation. I asked the server about the dogs and she said they are service dogs-- which I am sure is a lie.

Gabriel Gino D.

Yelp
great quality meats and great ambiance. They also have a good selection of snacks and sauces

Yelp
new favorite hotpot place! my friends and i randomly stumbled upon shancheng and it's officially our new favorite hotpot spot! there was a long wait, but they have yelp waitlist available which is incredibly helpful to get on the waitlist as you head to the restaurant. the decor of the restaurant is modern meets traditional chinese! love that! service is incredibly fast and the server was helpful in helping us order since we weren't super familiar with the menu. the sauce and dessert/appetizer bar is SO good! their sesame balls with red bean INCREDIBLE. i could literally eat just that all day! so fresh, crispy, and hot!

Brian T.

Yelp
I usually stick with the more westernized version of hotpot from places like Jazz Cat/Boiling Point/All That Shabu but decided to give this purely traditional hotplace place a try. If the outside line didn't tell you enough that this is a place worth trying, then the insides will. This place has a beautiful traditional ancient chinese library sort of theme. The minibar had the widest selection of choices I've ever seen, the amount of sauces, snacks and desserts was impressive. They also have a wide selection of meats, there's the beef, lamb, pork, chicken selections and then a more premium version of those meats as well. Unfortunately their slicing machine broke down while I was there so it took a very long time for the meats to come out. The hotpot itself is divided in 2 so you can have 2 different broth bases. The meats were tasty, you can notice the difference in taste and texture between each meat. The price is a bit on the higher side since they charge for rice, soup, sauces, etc. Pretty solid spot overall.

Yelp
I've been to Shangcheng Lameizi in San Gabriel with friends 3 times already - It's that good! In fact, hot pot here is especially good after a full day of snowboarding - just warmth and delicious goodness in your belly! What keeps me coming back is the grass jelly dessert that I can self-serve myself at the snack + sauce station. It's my absolute favorite! What's great about Shancheng Lameizi is you can do a half-and-half hot pot broth, their perfectly curated Szechuan Asian-fusion dishes, and various sauce choices you can build your own and customize on the side. What more can you ask for? From the endless variety of dishes you can choose to add to your hotpot, I especially love the shrimp paste, mushroom medley, lotus, and a variation of tofu. The seating arrangements are designed very well too - I'm a sucker for good interior design. The indoor and outdoor seating was very thoughtfully put together - you and your friends definitely will feel like you're in your own little "room" or bubble while dining. The staff here will definitely see be back here! Go check it out - you'll love it!

Yelp
Food delicious. Service excellent. Atmosphere amazing. We will have no hesitation returning to this amazing hot pot establishment. Jim

Yelp
Customer service is nice considering how busy they are. Meat and seafood selections are quite good and fresh. Ambiance is a bit noisy but similar to most hot pot places. Recommend for small group dinners.

Brian L.

Yelp
Came for dinner the other day with a few friends because our buddy recommended it, was not disappointed. It's not one of those ayce spots which I normally prefer but we let my friend do the ordering and it worked out. We did half and half pot with medium on one side for the soup, it was spicier than I thought it would be but still very good. Got mostly beef and lamb, veggies, and the shrimp paste. Not sure what else, but it was all bomb. Ended up sitting outside to avoid the wait, thought it would be too sunny and hot but the outside seats are covered which was perfect. Service is quick, our food came out pretty fast. They also have a sauce bar which is nice. Would definitely come back.

Cat L.

Yelp
Definitely one of the most exciting meals of my life! And also made my top 3 most stressful restaurants to eat with a baby (but WORTH IT) list. We knew there was going to be a wait to eat here so we tried it out on a Tuesday evening during the holidays. The wait was about 20-25 minutes. Be sure to join the YELP WAITLIST on the Yelp app BEFORE you head over or you'll have to manually add your party at their waitlist kiosk when you get to the front entrance. We ordered the half & half spicy (MILD - trust me, don't go hotter or you will regret it!) and bone soup pot. For protein, we opted for the Beef & Lamb combo and the following veggies and extras: *Lotus root, *Chinese yam, A choy, Enoki mushrooms, Yam pasta, Crab flavor fish balls (roe-filled), *Shrimp paste (freshly ground raw shrimp), and *Crispy fried pork. The starred items are must-tries I'd recommend. The lotus roots and shrimp paste are mandatory (says me) and the Chinese yams are a must - an awesome hybrid veggie that tastes like a regular potato and a daikon had a love child. The shrimp paste sounds offputting and unappealing to the uninitiated but when you realize it's the foundation of some popular dim sum delicacies, you'll be kicking yourself for allowing it to give you pause at all. ORDER IT! Just watching our server scoop and masterfully plop balls of it into the broths was satisfying! If you're thinking about ordering rice and fried breadsticks, I'd say skip those, especially if you are already getting the yam pasta, Chinese yams, or other starch. There are plenty of complimentary fried sesame balls included at the condiment bar if you need carbs with your meal. It's easy to go nuts here and run out of room so be mindful! Budget about $50 per person.

Yelp
Came here because my partner has been talking about this spot. Service was good but they dont speak fluent english so it was a little difficult to ask for specific things. Also, I had to constantly get up and ask the server for napkins, water, more food, because they never came to our section. The sauce bar didn't have ponzu which kind of ruined it for me. Soup base was decent. Not my favorite hot pot but it does the job. Portions are not that large and some of the veggies didnt seem very fresh. The decorations were nice though, really seemed like a "high end" hot pot restaurant. The bathroom had floss, and lotion and all the toiletries you need to freshen up.

Vy L.

Yelp
My sister and I have been coming to this hotpot spot for awhile and never write a review about it. The reason simply is because we got so full every time we leave so we couldn't write any review lol. The food here definitely has been good so far, both quality and variety. Tonight the service was excellent. Servers were super nice and quick. My favorite thing about this hot pot place id the extended amount of side dishes and snacks here. If you live Asian snacks then you will have a great time here. The only downside about this place is that you have to walk right inside and ask for table to be seated because server or host might not see you coming. Overall rating 4.5/5

Sanny C.

Yelp
Honestly good but pricey. $200 for 4 people (including tips). However, the foods were fresh and the sauce bar came with so many snacks & desserts. If you're the type that eat a lot of meats & veggies then it is prob best to go to an ayce hotpot place. They charged for the broths, sauce bar for each individual, drinks and each item. Prices on the menu. I been here a few times because besides the good broth and foods, the decor here was very nice. The service was ok. The servers didnt speak much English. We ordered another plate of meat but they never brought it out. Not sure if she understood us. The good thing was they didn't charge us either. It used to be very busy even on weekdays but last night had no lines. So lucky us. Wouldn't wanna wait too long for a BD dinner. Receipt was very clear and on the bottom it stated for party of 5 or more, a 15% will be added. A hotpot place I don't mind coming back :)

Sammy M.

Yelp
If you're looking for the next closest thing to authentic Chinese Hotpot, this is the spot! I've been coming here over 5 times already and never disappoints. Broth flavor and food quality are 5/5 and there's a huge selection of complimentary snacks, dessert soups, and a large selection of choices to make your own sauce. Broth: Spicy Broth is super flavorful and actually spicy. If you can't handle heat, I'd recommend getting mild. Pork Bone Broth is super refreshing and great for cooking any veggies in to retain that natural flavor. Meats: Fatty Beef Belly and Lamb Shoulder are the way to go. Cook them in the spicy broth and dip in your sauce to really enhance the flavor! Egg Fried Rice: New people might overlook this dish, but it's delicious and simple. Nice pairing with eating veggies and meat with! Food: 5/5 Service: 7/5 (awesome servers) Parking: 4/5 (recommend coming during non-busy hours to find parking) 10/10 would recommend come trying and opening your taste pallets to another dimension!

Robert S.

Yelp
No pictures manual - not to clean seat all ton out . No parking enough for customers ....$$.

Vivian A.

Yelp
If you have a high spice tolerance, this is the spot for you! I got the half and half broth with bone broth and mild spicy. The mild was already so spicy for me! I don't have a very high spice tolerance though. The bone broth is very good, it was very flavorful. We also got the beef combo and another order of sliced beef on its own. I wouldn't recommend the beef combo because the slices of beef were thick and the spicy one wasn't my favorite. The spicy one reminded me of beef jerky. The quality of the beef by itself was really good! Great quality. They also have a snack bar and sauce bar where they you can grab snacks to go and make your own sauces.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Wait wasn't too long, but the food was just ok. The spicy broth wasn't spicy at all, but that wasn't the main issue. My issue was with the fried pork (炸小酥肉)... they stink. Like the smell of stinky pork was so strong that I could not eat more than 2. One might argue that this is a common thing in pork produced in US... but nah. Other hotpot places don't have this issue with their fried pork, including other Shancheng Lameizi locations. Maybe quality was the reason why this was the only hotpot joint that had a less than 30 min wait on a really cold day?.

Mary G.

Yelp
The real Chinese hot pot. I love that they have snacks and small dishes before you eat hot and spicy food. Food does taste better somehow but it can be quite spicy too. The service was good.

Becktoria B.

Yelp
Hot pot has now been my favourite type of food for the last 2 years. Sure, it's oily, greasy and has lots of additives and sodium but it is so tasty. A lot of hot pot places have similar food items on the menu but the reason why I like this place more than others is because there are more snacks and side dishes at the bar, the interior decor is really pretty and the friendly manager always comes around and check in on us.

Bernadette B.

Yelp
Went here with a group of 7 and they sat us at an outside table. We were worried bc it was in the 50s at the time, but they do have heaters and the table was mostly enclosed, so we were warm the entire time. The food was good quality and delicious and the price was low, especially in comparison to other hot pot locations. We got a mixture of meats, tofus, and veggies and it cost us about $35 each with tax and tip. They do have a small parking lot, otherwise you can find nearby street parking.

Ryan L.

Yelp
I remember going to little fat sheep in my childhood, but the hot pot game in San Gabriel has really evolved over the years with these spots. Even though this place has been open for a couple of years, it still feels new because I'm just so used to a more raunchier hot pot experience. I've tried all kinds of selections here from the tripe and fungus to the "normally" meat and veggies. So unless you are particularly "advanced" in what you can taste, I suggest you go with the standard lamb and beef with corn, veggies, tofu and noodles here. FYI, there is a vegetable called Tong Ho that is very common at hot pot restaurants and is really really good. After you add your meats and whatnot, you add the tong ho and it soaks up the flavor and makes it flavorful on another level. I will add, lettuce and the other veggies do the same thing, but the tong ho does it on another level... Anyways, they also have a spot that the front for sauces, snacks, and desert. If I were you, also make your sauce and then all glorious amounts of sesame oil because I have had the experience of having my sauce become diluted by the soup. All in all, I highly recommend this place as a representative of the constantly evolving hot pot scene of the SGV.

Travis P.

Yelp
I came here with 7 people using yelp waitlist and arrived and was seated right away. This place is great for big parties because they have some large tables outside perfect for the moment. The broth is very spicy so be warned when getting medium or spicy. They have an ayce snack/dessert and sauce bar which is inside. What's awesome is they have a lot of Chinese snacks that I haven't had in forever. The meat quality is top notch and soup broths were very flavorful. Parking gets filled up but there is plenty of street parking. A great hotpot spot and would totally be back in the future!

David S.

Yelp
The broth was amazing, and the sauce options were plentiful. If you like Szechuan hotpot, this is the place for you type shi. I had an amazing time with the gf type shi. The servers were so kind and attentive type shi. Also, they have nice AC in here type shi which is amazing to cool down after hotpot. Anyways, I'm out. Yall come through and experience the magic. Bye

Yelp
Such a beautiful restaurant! I was looking for an authentic Chinese dining experience. My friend recommended we come here and it was exactly what I was searching for. The decor was gorgeous and so interesting. The dining area was clean and cozy. The list of food to order with your hotpot was very varietal with many interesting options I didn't know existed. To try something new and adventurous (for me and my friend) we tried duck feet, goose intestine, and pig blood (I guess pig blood isn't so uncommon in US but I had never gone out my way to try it). We also tried some usual things like beef, mixed vegetables, egg, potato, lotus...things like that. We ordered two broths. One was bone broth and the other was a medium spicy broth. The bone broth was a beautiful, cloudy looking broth and the chile was a gorgeous deep red. The szechuan peppers made my tongue and lips feel a little tingly and numb. I guess I have never had true szechuan peppers because I've had that chili sauce in other Chinese places and my mouth never reacted that way. I enjoyed the experience. I loved the buffet of toppings, sauces, oils, vinegar and treats that is offered to the customers for their food. I thought it was a very generous and beautifully arranged spread. The pitcher of cold, frosty beer was a perfect dinner companion.

Yelp
I really like this place. The meat quality is superb. They also have a very wide selection of stuff you can order that other stores don't have. They also sell beer which is great. Place can be packed so I would advise trying to make a reservation.

Yelp
Came here with two of my friends on a Sat night is pretty packed even at 6pm so be prepare. You do need wear a mask but once your inside it is not enforce to wear your mask which I wish they would on the sauce/snack bar areas. Even tho counts are low we are still not out of the woods and we are still in a pandemic. Tables are open no pixie glass in between the tables/seating areas. Which I wish this place would have just as a safety reasons. Open bar for the sauce and snacks area. We get to pick our veggies, meats, and seafood. Waiter/waitress was pretty attentive. BTW, at times you can smell the chili & then you got the next table customer coughing because she couldn't handle the strong chili smell. Meat and fish balls was good pretty fresh. Veggies were also fresh. Overall good experience but definitely need to keep your customer safe especially in the open bar area. Just have them wear their mask since the food is out in the open.

Yelp
Came here for dinner for 2 Came on a Friday night. Parking can be tough if the restaurant is hopping. They have a lot in the front and back of the restaurant. If both are filled, we have worked in the neighborhood in the past. Not sure if it's legal but we had no issues. Environment: the restaurant is sectioned out into 3 spaces. All are separated by a large wall that looks like a library. Decor looks great imo. Food: we got the bone broth and the medium spicy hot pots. Woo! Medium spicy is plenty spicy for me as that stuff creeps on you quickly. I make my standard sauce, equal parts soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, chili oil with a touch of sesame oil and cilantro/green onions. Meats are boiled at your own pace. Decent quality. Service: service is fast and attentive. Most of the employees speak mandarin and it's the easiest way to communicate with them. I would recommend going with someone who can show you the ropes the first time. Overall, great restaurant. A bit on the higher priced side. But we enjoyed it very much and will be returning soon. Bill was ~$140 for everything.

Yelp
Best spicy hot pot broth i've ever had, and don't get me started on the dessert bar. I was high af when I went here, and loved every moment of it. The Good: - private parking front and back - when you have a good broth, all your food tastes good. I can't even judge if the meat and veggies were fresh or not because the broth overtook everything haha - the shrimp paste was delicious, would recommend. it is CHUNKIER than the paste you're used to be if you like that then it's great - the fresh beef was interesting :) very tender but doesn't seem like it belongs in hot pot. still would recommend it. - dessert bar is worth the trip The Meh: - The dessert bar hall way is a safety hazard lol but worth he dodging to get to. - their sesame balls run out fast, so my friends and i all grabbed a bunch to our tables before the meat came... sorry everyone... but it was our first time and we wanted to try it lol - bit on pricey side, especially for mushrooms. $4.99 for a small plate of enoki mushroom?! come on

Yelp
The waiters are very friendly and the price is good. I like its long opening hours, which is convenient for me to have late night snacks.

Yelp
The interior design of this place is amazing. It very beautifully decorated. The servers were really fast too. I can here with my family and we ordered the half and half broth (bone soup and mild spicy). Honestly, mild spicy is super spicy to me, I wouldn't recommend trying to drink the spicy broth but it's great for dipping. Usually when I dip my meat in the spicy broth I expect it to taste spicy and flavorful or savory. When I dipped my meat, all I got was the spiciness but no flavor. The regular bone broth was pretty solid tho. We ordered ribeye and short rib and both were great, not tough and not super chewy. Overall, this place can get pricy since it's a la carte (ended up being around $50/person) but it's a great place to take friends and family for dinner :)
