Update: I'm reading some of the other reviews from locals and it appears cashew chicken isn't supposed to taste this bland. I apologize to Sprinfield residents for assuming ya'll like bland food, left my og review below! I'm now rating this accordingly!
We're from Cali, flew into St. Louis and driving down through Springfield -> Hot Springs -> Little rock. We got the cashew chicken since that seems to be Springfield's go to "Chinese" dish. We saw the long line at Hong Kong Inn the night before but it was closed that day so we came here instead. The dish was super bland, basically tasted like chicken tenders with some soy sauce gravy, there was just a sprinkling of crushed cashews on top. Also got the beef lo mein, it was also very bland, but did have bok choy and bamboo shoots which was interesting, the beef was tender. However there was no flavor in anything, we could not have finished any of the food without the dried chili flakes we asked for, they didn't have any hot oil chili crisp either. The crab rangoons were crunchy, are they supposed to have crab (even imitation in them?). The egg rolls are huge, but again, really needs some sauce, completely bland!
We get it, you're catering to the demographics, that's why we're giving this a 4 star since apparently this is what Springfield residents want. Had this been in any other city / state with a decently sized asian population this would have been a 1 star.
