London’s New Restaurant Openings - London - The Infatuation

"If you’ve ever had the specific need to be very high up, the 28th floor say, perusing a menu of wagyu beef, king crab, and all-truffle-everything, before heading to a bar for post-dinner 4am DJ sets—you might really like Shanghai Me. The swanky pan-Asian restaurant inside the Hilton on Park Lane promises an extensive dim sum menu as well as impressive views." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Shanghai Me London feels like a confident arrival rather than a hype-driven opening. The setting on the 28th floor offers a beautiful Hyde Park view, elegant but comfortable, making it ideal for group dinners or celebrations. The dim sum platter is thoughtfully composed — each piece distinct in texture and flavour rather than purely decorative. The beef is particularly well executed: tender, with a slight tendon bite that adds depth. The duck leg is clean and restrained, avoiding heavy sauces. Dessert is worth ordering — the milk cake paired with black sesame ice cream is balanced and quietly impressive. Service throughout is attentive without being intrusive. A refined Chinese restaurant that gets the fundamentals right and feels well judged for London.

Stunning bar with an amazing view and atmosphere. I’ve been here twice: once after midnight and once earlier in the evening, and each time felt completely different. It seamlessly transforms from a stylish spot for fancy evening drinks into a lively club later at night, and both setups work really well. The cocktails are well-crafted. The menu isn’t huge, but there’s still plenty to choose from. I also loved the concept of cocktails inspired by animals and years, so you can even pick a drink based on your year of birth. Definitely a place worth visiting more than once.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Shanghai Me in Mayfair. The interiors are beautifully designed with a subtle Art Deco touch, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly throughout. Loved the Yellowtail Carpaccio with black truffle and the Crispy Duck Salad—both flavourful and well-balanced. The mains were equally impressive, especially the braised beef short rib. Great spot for a relaxed dinner, special occasions, or bringing friends from out of town. Would definitely return.

I was at the bar on Sunday night, and it was crowded, but pretty quiet. The cocktails are specific, but I liked the food. I don't like the location because it's in a hotel, and accordingly, a lot of "hunting girls" hang out there. The view of the city has been turned into a smoking room. Maybe it's more beautiful there during the day or at sunset, but there's nothing to do there at night.

Second visit to this plush Chinese restaurant - absolutely loved it. Very upmarket atmosphere, special enough for a birthday or date. Food took a little while but was immaculately presented, tasty, and clearly well prepared. Loved drinks at the Bund bar after. Would return and recommend.

I had a lovely time it was my first time at Shanghai Me. I loved the food we had dumplings, sushi and carpaccio for starters and prawns beef and rice for the mains. I loved the food however the dumplings were 2 for £7 and the only thing I didn’t like was the cocktails. I don’t think they tasted as I would have hoped. We had a spicy margarita and strawberry mojito

✨ A stunning dining experience at Shanghai Me London. The elegant old-money atmosphere, breathtaking Hyde Park views, and refined Asian flavours make it truly special. Every dish—from the truffle dim sum to the crispy duck salad—was beautifully crafted. Impeccable service and attention to detail. Perfect for a memorable night in Mayfair. 🌃🥂

Although this restaurant has just opened, everything was amazing. Staff super welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious and we have such a nice variety of pan-Asian cousins! Highlight for the duck salad and seafood platter on fried noodles, but everything was great. Special thank you to Sara Lona who “looked after us” and the rest of the team who were superb! Highly recommend it!! P.S.: great views too!
