Shanghai Me

Shanghai Me London was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The venue is absolutely stunning — we even got a short tour of the space, including the balconies and the lounge, and the view from up there is genuinely one of the best in London. Food-wise, everything was delicious and beautifully done. The prawns on toast were a perfect start (crispy, flavoursome, and seriously moreish), and the sweet & sour chicken was spot on — tender, glossy, and with that perfect sweet-tangy balance. We also had another prawn dish that was amazing — fresh, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. Drinks were just as impressive: the signature cocktails felt really special and well-balanced, and even the Aperol Spritz was done properly — crisp and refreshing, not watered down. Dessert was the perfect finish: the chocolate fondant was rich and gooey, and the ice cream served with it is made in-house, which you can really taste — creamy, fresh, and the ideal match with the warm fondant. The atmosphere is lively and glamorous without feeling chaotic, and the service made the night — attentive, friendly, and polished. If you want a place that feels like a proper occasion, Shanghai Me is it. Can’t wait to go back.

We walked into Shanghai Me and were immediately struck by the beautiful atmosphere. The vibe is exceptional—stylish, warm, and inviting. Not only were the staff welcoming and genuinely kind, but the entire restaurant is a stunning space. We came here to celebrate my best friend and myself meeting after the holidays, and we truly could not have asked for a better place or better service. We started the evening with drinks in the lounge before moving to our table for dinner, which made the experience feel seamless and special. The food was excellent, portions were well balanced and very filling, with everything thoughtfully presented. The true stars of the night were Lean, who was incredibly kind and caring, and AGM Nick. Their attention to detail and the way they looked after us made the evening unforgettable, and I sincerely appreciate their hospitality. My friend and I had an amazing time, and I honestly could not have asked for more. I would definitely recommend coming here for a special occasion or simply for an outstanding dining experience.

The service was outstanding; Maurizio took wonderful care of us, ensuring every detail was perfect. The location is superb, offering a beautiful view that truly enhances the atmosphere. Shanghai Me London feels like a confident arrival rather than a hype-driven opening. The setting on the 28th floor offers a beautiful Hyde Park view, elegant but comfortable, making it ideal for group dinners or celebrations. The dim sum platter is thoughtfully composed — each piece distinct in texture and flavour rather than purely decorative. The beef is particularly well executed: tender, with a slight tendon bite that adds depth. The duck leg is clean and restrained, avoiding heavy sauces. Dessert is worth ordering — the milk cake paired with black sesame ice cream is balanced and quietly impressive. Service throughout is attentive without being intrusive. A refined Chinese restaurant that gets the fundamentals right and feels well judged for London.

Stunning bar with an amazing view and atmosphere. I’ve been here twice: once after midnight and once earlier in the evening, and each time felt completely different. It seamlessly transforms from a stylish spot for fancy evening drinks into a lively club later at night, and both setups work really well. The cocktails are well-crafted. The menu isn’t huge, but there’s still plenty to choose from. I also loved the concept of cocktails inspired by animals and years, so you can even pick a drink based on your year of birth. Definitely a place worth visiting more than once.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Shanghai Me in Mayfair. The interiors are beautifully designed with a subtle Art Deco touch, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly throughout. Loved the Yellowtail Carpaccio with black truffle and the Crispy Duck Salad—both flavourful and well-balanced. The mains were equally impressive, especially the braised beef short rib. Great spot for a relaxed dinner, special occasions, or bringing friends from out of town. Would definitely return.

This is easily one of the best bars we’ve visited recently. Stunning interior, friendly staff, and an excellent cocktail selection. The zodiac-inspired concept, where drinks are matched to your birth year, makes the experience feel fun and unique. The rooftop views are absolutely unreal — elegant, atmospheric, and perfect for a night out. The cocktails were genuinely delicious.

Went with a friend for dinner during December 2025, for myself it was the first visit, pre reservation is needed. The overall atmosphere of the place is nice as well as the vibes and decoration. The staff were helpful and attentive, service was great and the food came fresh and delicious.
