The Hit List: 12 New Las Vegas Restaurants To Try Right Now 2024

"Though it’s really more of an outdoor shopping center, Shanghai Plaza is home to some of the best Asian food in Las Vegas. Whether you explore by yourself or with a friend, the two-story strip mall offers a great capsule collection to spare you from walking aimlessly all over Chinatown—especially in the 100-plus-degree summer.  What we recommend above all else are the dessert shops—we wish we could eat the fluffy bingsoo topped with fresh fruit from Sul & Beans every day. If you don’t decide to skip straight to dessert, check out the Korean street food at JMT and CrunCheese, the soup dumplings at ShangHai Taste, and the marble taro bread at 85c Bakery. The Hainanese chicken at the Malaysian restaurant Banana Leaf also deserves a mention, since the cold dish makes for a refreshing meal after wading in a lukewarm pool with the sweaty masses at the day club." - emmy kasten

Google
Many restaurants, shops, and desert places. Two story strip. Best Asian food in Las Vegas. The only problem is - THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PARKING. Hard to find one.

Fleur de la Fleurs

Google
Great Asian food heaven. The parking situation is frustrating but that's just how it is.

Google
take your patience when visiting this plaza. it’s always packed and always busy. there are excellent restaurants and shops. but i will say it again, be patient and mindful that the parking lot will probably be full or you might have to circle the lot to find a space. if you see a parking space but it’s far from the store you want to visit, just park there anyways. you’ll thank me later

Google
Good food, lots of choices... don't leave without eating mangoes with sticky rice and coconut cream... the grand finale to a great meal...

Neon City Walkers

Google
Be careful in this parking lot....Very busy, but absolute wonderful offerings. Highly recommend grabbing some pastries at 85 °.

Google
This plaza is amazing. It has a lot of yummy places to eat from and go shopping. It gets super crowded and sometimes you have to wait for parking but, other than that is a nice little break to shop and eat yummy desserts and food. It does get over crowded at times so be aware. Make sure to carry a digestive probiotic enzyme before eating to avoid stomach issues while trying all those yummy junk food lol

Myu Chu

Google
2 level strip mall that is usually very crowded. There are tons of popular food and drink stores. Good luck with parking in the plaza because it is usually very crowded. Park across the street. Learn how to parallel park your car.

Google
It was a good shopping experience at the Shanghai Plaza. There were plenty of restaurants and parking.

Yelp
Shanghai Plaza has fantastic eateries and the place is super awsome! You'll find them on Spring Mountain and Arville. There's sufficient parking. If it gets real busy during peak hours, they have extra space around the back. The plaza is centered to Asian-themed cuisines and boutique shops, and there's two floors. Most popular is 85°C Bakery Cafe, Share Tea, BB.Q Chicken, Somi Somi, Paleta Bar, China Mama, and Weera Thai Kitchen. Other dine-in include Sul & Beans, CrunCheese Korean Hot Dog, and C3 Seafood and Bar. Some of the best shops are Shibuyala (beauty skin care), Manga Hole (art toys), and 888 Collectibles (trading card games). For entertainment, Moxie Ultra Lounge is a lovely all-in-one restaurant, bar, and club! You'll find them on the second floor above 85°C Bakery Cafe.

Yelp
Foodie friends....unite!! SHANGHAI PLAZA should be on your list of Go-to places when in Chinatown, Las Vegas. There's something for all tastebuds here, whether craving savory or sweet. Look for the new sign off of Spring Mountain Rd, "I LOVE SHLV", and turn right in. It can get pretty congested in the lot, but if you continue through to the north side, you should be able to find some openings. Here are a few of my favorites, but there are so many other excellent options to name: -Weera Thai -China Mama (newest addition as of June 2023) -Pepper Lunch ("fast steak" on hot plates originating from Japan) -85 Degrees Bakery (from Taiwan) -Share Tea and Tea Maison for boba drinks -Sul & Beans for Korean shave ice called Bingsoo Meet at one spot for lunch/dinner and then make your way over to a different eatery for dessert!

Yelp
I have been in Shanghai Plaza many times. Last night, I stopped in for some Korean style dessert after dinner elsewhere. There is such a micture of Asian food types. There are many good restaurants serving these Asian delights. My favorites are O Onigiri, Shanghai Taste, and Somi Somi. The one drawback with the plaza is its popularity and diversity. Parking can be a challenge. Sometimes you just hit it right and someone is backing out. Last night, I happened to find an exmpty space right near where I was going. Winner! I would recommend Shanghai Plaza to people coming to Las Vegas to come see and taste the variety of food available in this plaza. I would suggest you check where the place is you want to go, if you know, or just walk around and pick one. Last night, I was stumped where the place was I planned to go. It turned out it was on the second floor. Duh! I should have read the reviews ahead of time other than a cursory glance at a few. This is a gem in Chinatown.

Yelp
Shanghai Plaza has SO much good stuff, but parking is a challenge most of the time. A menagerie of worldclass Asain foods and dessert shops. You really can not go wrong. Grab the first parking spot you see and enjoy!

Yelp
Shopping and dining in Chinatown, Las Vegas, Nevada... Shanghai Plaza is a relatively new outdoor shopping center. There are several two-story buildings and, therefore, so many things to see, do, and eat! The free, shared parking lot is busy because there are so many popular businesses here. Traffic is heavier depending on what time of the day you visit. The main entrance is on Spring Mountain Road. I've been to restaurants such as Pepper Lunch, Tea Maison, Sweet Honey, 88 Noodle Papa, and MyungRang Hotdog. I've shopped at Miniso and Shibuyala. There are so many more cafes to go to! Examples: 85° Degree Bakery, Somi Somi, Banana Leaf, Yummy Rice, B.BQ Chicken, The Paleta Bar, Kura Sushi, Share Tea, and Sul & Beans I'll be back for sure!
google avatar

Justin C.

Yelp
Shanghai Plaza has a plethora of options for your dining and sweet tooth pleasures. Options include Sushi, Noodles, BBQ Chicken, Pepper Lunch, Yummy Rice, Mian, HK Seafood Garden, Diamond bakery, Sweethoney dessert and many others. Some personal faves are: Weera Thai, Shanghai Taste (mmm dumplings), Mini So (cool Asian goody store), 85 Degrees bakery, Cruncheese (great Korean hot dogs with a variety of toppings), ShareTea, Tea Maison, Sul & Beans (Mmm Taro Bingsoo!) and last but not least SomiSomi (cutest little fish desserts!). Pros: Everything is walkable once you find a spot to park. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, even if your first choice has a long wait. Cons: Parking is always atrocious! Tip: Instead of fighting for that spot with every other car, park behind the plaza with on street parking available on Pioneer Ave (access from Arville or Wynn road).

Yelp
Awesome Asian plaza with a wide range of food to choose from. We basically had boba at tea maison, then went for HK wonton noodles at noodles papa, and finally for dessert at sweet honey dessert

Yelp
Shanghai Plaza is one of my go-to destinations in Vegas. There's always something to discover here, whether I'm shopping for Asian skincare products, indulging in a delicious Korean hot dog or some tasty ice cream, or enjoying a hearty meal at Pepper Lunch or Dagu Noodles. One of the things I love most about Shanghai Plaza is the variety of stores and eateries to choose from. The only downside to Shanghai Plaza is that parking can be a bit of a challenge at times.
google avatar

Yelp
Plenty of good restaurants, cute stores and place to get some snacks, even got a vape shop if you need it.

Yelp
This place is like a little mall. On the first floor there are the small store, walking in circles. Which are the bakery, Boba tea, restaurants, and gift shops. Than when you finish the circle and reaches the front, there is a staircase that you can walk to the second floor. The second floor is a bit room/store where they sell more gifts, shoes, clothing and furniture. Their items are not expensive, its a good affordable price. This is a good place to explore. Its very clean and it have a big parking lots. Yes, I would recommend this place.

Yelp
My new favorite spot in Chinatown. I always come here with my husband and kids. There's always something to do and tons of places to eat
google avatar

Kehau M.

Yelp
We ate at B.B.Q. Chicken! Bulgogi bowl was great! My husband had kimchee fried rice. Kimchee is fresh! Food was amazing! Chicken was good. I would eat here again! 10/10

Yelp
I feel like this place is always busy so parking is almost always hard to find. Adding to the fact that there are so many amazing shops/restaurants to check out, I get it. Still, 4 stars because we need more parking lol and could be a little cleaner. Other than those two, this place is truly a great place to hang out. Cute stores like Miniso with cute/unique products you can't really get anywhere else in vegas, restaurants, boba shops, bakery, ice cream, the variety is just awesome! It's easy to be in this spot for hours. So if you're looking for a spot to meet with friends or fam and are still indecisive on where to eat this spot will surely have you picking one of its tenants. However, remember parking can get nuts so just practice some patience.

Yelp
Awesome place to stop by. Highly recommended for the shopping of gifts, snacks, and foods. It's definitely Asian-themed foods so if that's up your alley - even better! I tried to highlight some of the places and foods I've tried. I've been to a lot of the other shops and eateries in this area, but I don't always take pictures! Come on by Shanghai Plaza!
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Cute plaza that seems to be always busy. There needs to be better parking, it's very compact and there are too many cars.
google avatar

Juju W.

Yelp
Love the selections of eats at this 'Chinatown' plaza. From boba drinks to restaurants, so many to choose from. There's even a Miniso here (if u know, u know). An anime gift store is on the 2nd level for your Pokemon addiction. A def place to quench your Asian food and dessert yen.
google avatar

Yelp
I think I'm gonna love this plaza There are so many places to eat. When it first opened, we mainly went for the 85 degrees because we were so happy to have one in town. But because it was still fairly new, it was really a mess of cars and trying to get parking. I know better than to go to new places because I don't like the crowded busyness of it all, and I don't like standing in lines. Today's visit was very chill. We had passed by last week and I saw that it was not so busy. I'm not sure if its because the novelty has worn down or because of Covid-19. We came around 1230p on a Thursday. First stop was Myungrang and then 85 degrees. Since we can't eat inside. I was able to see what else was around. I spotted the Miniso, and a BBQ chicken place I'm gonna go back and try. Also a vietnamese restaurant called Orchids which I got takeout from, and Share tea are what caught my eye. I'm sure when I go back I'll discover more. I hope that it won't be crazy busy like when it first opened, but it could've been the time of day and it wasn't the weekend.

Yelp
Visited the new Shanghai Plaza last Sunday afternoon. An ambitious, old fashioned style Asian mall that had popular franchises like 85C bakery, Somi somi, Bbq chicken, Myungrang Hot Dog. Tried Somi Somi and it was refreshing on a hot day. Many of the spaces were not leased yet so it had an empty, sparse, deserted feel to it. The parking lot was full of cars but not sure where the people were. Will go back in a year when it's more populated.

Yelp
This is a brand new plaza being built from the ground up. It is located next to Pho Kinh Do. This stretch of Spring Mountain is greatly in need of new buildings, as many of the existing shops and restaurants are showing obvious wear. 88 Noodle Papa just opened, and is the very first restaurant currently open for business. I came here and got a nice hearty bowl of wonton noodles today. My reliable crystal ball tells me that Shanghai Plaza is going to be one of the latest Foodie stops for Asian culinary delights shortly. Currently under construction are the following food establishments: Yummy Rice, Dagu Rice Noodle, Orchid Vietnamese Restaurant, Share Tea, just to name a few. There are also many other vacant storefronts, so lots of other places to follow. You may miss the Plaza if you're driving by quickly. All the restaurants are set back, and not clearly visible from the street until you enter through the archway. So, look for the archway with the big "Shanghai Plaza" sign, and work up your appetite!

Yelp
This plaza has some really great stores, snack places, tea house, bakery, restaurants etc etc and it is a very nice plaza - not worn out or dirty like some around here. Fun way to spend some time checking out places like I did today!! Come hungry!!

Cullen N.

Yelp
Cool little shopping mall in chinatown has a bunch of restuarants and little shops all of the restaurants are overated and not very good with the exception of the corndog place and paleta bar. The parking is some of the worst in the city there is always a wait to park unless you go on a random tuesday at 2pm. The amount of stores is good though and another plaza across the street is in walking distance. Alot of the stores are cheap to which is nice im just not much of a shopping person.

Kealani L.

Yelp
I wish I would of brought my teenagers .It was fun Friday night this is #tiktok trendy foods that weren't bad at all . I went to #cruncheese and it was a fun experience . The 85 °bakery surely has something for everyone . There are so many places. I want to go back to . I think just figuring out what you want to try will be your main issue which really isn't an issue . The prices are all very reasonable . I can't wait to bring my kids back to see what there favorites will be . All in all i think for a family or even fun casual date night or just wanting to try all the fun places the #Shanghai plazas has to offer its definitely worth exploring . Parking is small but people are coming and going so we got a spot pretty fast . I was happy we made the trip !

Yelp
Mood - watching growth of something new and exciting Ive been entertaining this plaza since it has opened. In the beginning there was just a few dining options, and a milk tea establishment. Now that more time has passed within the past 8 months, this plaza has morphed into a serious hub of several restaurants, dessert eatery, bakery, milk tea places, hair salon, optical store, realty company, beauty & hygiene store, plus other companies that adorn the 2nd floor. The plaza continues to grow with the expanse of more options coming our way with the newest openings such as Korean Chicken, Bingsoo, and Taiyaki - coming very soon. Would def recommend - prices are accordingly for the places you entertain Location is Spring Mountain/ Arville- ample parking, however it gets very congested, as this plaza is very busy.

Yelp
Want to find the most poppin' area of town? Look no further. This new development plaza in Chinatown seems to have something new opening every other week. I've been by a handful of times to try some of their restaurants, and I can't seem to keep up with all the openings. 90% of this plaza seems to be restaurants, but there are several spaces on the 2nd floor that are still available. The turn lane from Spring Mountain can be a bit tricky, and you might wait a few minutes to be able to get in- there is an easier entrance from Arville. Coming from the Strip it is much easier to get into this lot. Parking varies, as in there's plenty of it but it's a busy center. Rumor has it there's an additional lot next door for parking spaces but it's currently inaccessible due to ongoing construction. In my multiple visits here for Maison Tea, BB.Q Chicken, Weera Thai, Kura Sushi, and Pepper Lunch, the plaza has had clean and well maintained sidewalks and storefronts (despite ongoing construction), and I haven't had to wait long to find parking.

Yelp
You may confuse this Plaza as strictly built for Chinese businesses or restaraunts. However, contrary to the name of this Plaza it currently is composed of a wide variety of upcoming and popular Asian restaraunts now opened reflecting East and SouthEast Asian Cuisine is sure to be a hit with the Foodie scene in Las Vegas. For the most part of this 2 level shopping Plaza, is 75% restaraunts and the remaining is composed of various tenants including a vape shop, hair salon and other business reflecting the Asian American community in Vegas. The parking lot may look small from the the outside on Spring Mountain Rd., but it has a decent amount of parking spaces inlcuding the area where the popular Myung Rung Korean Hot Dog. Most people assumed that this Plaza is only accessible from the Front through the large arch way but there is another entrance/exit off of Arville Rd. located NorthWest of the plaza. This is definitely going to be an area I will be frequently visiting, especially with the opening of future tenants including the very popular 85C Bakery. :) 2019 Yelp Review #14

Yelp
Sweet Honey dessert!! On the second floor! Outstanding! A must try! The shop is sooo cute & beautiful inside! We ordered the creme brulee, Mango cake & Mango with Pamelo & vanilla ice cream. So good!! We also got a couple of boba drinks. The brown sugar latte with boba & a sea salt cream top milk tea. Really good. Definitely will be back. Thank you for the experience.

Yelp
The Shangai plaza is growing with exciting new restaurants along with dessert and coffee spots. Located in China town with ample parking which it is not very far from the strip. I cant wait to try "85 degree bakery" and a new place called "Pepper Lunch." Also, make sure you get up to the second floor of the plaza because their are other business too that are hidden and you be surprise for what you find. You can take the stairs or the elevators to the second floor. Cant wait for the plaza to fill in their foodie spots.

Yelp
Checked out this new and interesting addition to the growing Asian establishments in Chinatown. Right after parking, a very clear misplacement/positioning of the handicap parking spots were so obvious to those who use wheelchair ramps. It was right on the nose of the cars instead of beside them! The handicap tagged car parked on the spot clearly did not need to use the ramp as it was parked right on the ramp itself! My wheelchair bound husband had to look for another ramp to get to the pathways which was located at the end of the building where we were parked. Obviously not a well thought out plan and does not comply to ADA standards. This is not the first time a hiccup like this has happened to us in this part of town. Another 'sensitivity' issue that seems to be overlooked more often than not on this day and age. Very frustrating. I'm sure the establishments housed in this plaza were very interesting and offered a slew of delicious cuisines but we will never know if we cant get to them from the parking lot....
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
A wonderful addition to Chinatown here, and I'm so excited for it to fill up! I've been trying out the places in this plaza slowly as they open and it's kind of nice as they slowly fill it up with tenants, so this way it's not too crazy busy (right now, at least). Love the archway entrance. It's probably going to be crazy busy and hard to find parking once everything is opened, so we'll see then. I'll be coming back periodically as new tenants open up shop. As of right now, I'm excited for 85C Bakery to open soon!! So far, I'm a fan of Yummy Rice, Myungrang Hot Dog, and Kura Revolving Sushi. I've yet to try Weera Thai (not even the other one in town) and Orchid. All in due time.
google avatar

Yelp
Now that several of the COVID19 restrictions are being lifted and restaurants and stores are being allowed to open for business again, Shanghai Plaza is a perfect place to go. You'll find a wide variety of dining choices here including Pepper Lunch, 85C Bakery, Noodle Papa, Tea Maison, Share Tea, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, Dagu Rice Noodle, Weera Thai, Myungrang Hot Dog, Somi Somi, BB.Q Chicken, and just opened Sul & Beans. We haven't eaten at every spot yet, but our favorite is definitely Pepper Lunch. Pre-COVID, the parking lot was fairly busy and if you went at peak hours (dinner time), you'd have to circle the lot before a spot opened up. Now, however, you will probably not have any issue with that. Definitely a great place to go for a bite to eat or for a drink or dessert or all of the above.
google avatar

Gigi B.

Yelp
Lots of great restaurants including dessert places with interesting food offerings. Some Somi for examples has fish-shaped ice cream cones that you may also ordered filled with flavors like red bean and ube (taro variation). The only downside when we visited was parking because we went on a Saturday night.
google avatar

Valerie M.

Yelp
First time here. It's still in the early development stages but there were so many unique places already that it's going to be amazing when it's fully filled and done. We were able to enjoy the places that were there. Plenty of tea choices and a few restaurants.
google avatar

Ro H.

Yelp
I just drove around this plaza. Didn't go down, but was already super excited! Located right across from Chinatown Plaza. This brand new plaza is going to be so busy. Even with just a few of the shops that are opening so far - I know it's going to be the newest hot spot! Looking forward to sharing reviews for each establishment. A few that I saw had signs up: Tea Madison, Dagu Rice Noodle Restaurant, Pepper Lunch, Noodle Papa, Weera Thai Kitchen and Sharetea. I have heard the following are supposed to open there too: Kura Revolving Sushi, Yummy Rice, SweetHoney Dessert and FINALLY - 85C Bakery Cafe!!! This I won't believe until I see - I have been waiting for them to come. They have popped up all over California! "Fresh bread!!" The only downside, for as many shops as there will be, I think parking is going to be tight. We shall see. Can't wait until this plaza is up and running completely. Maybe it's a good idea is to visit the shops as they open so you're not stuck with the rest of the crowd. That's what I'll do!

Hailei Z.

Yelp
Authentic food nice service! I highly recommend this place and definitely will come back.

Yelp S C.

Yelp
So many food selection! I would recommend everyone to go try Shanghai plaza. So many boba places and deserts to try .

Tom H.

Yelp
There is a lot of walking for a lot of NOTHING! Save your gas and go down the Chinatown Strip (Spring Mountain Blvd.) and check out some other places to eat. You want good Chinese food ? Fresh? go to AmLee or Rainbow Chinese Restaurant.
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
There is yet more to come in this plaza but you already have a well regarded Thai restaurant, multiple bubble tea places (I prefer Sharetea of the choices) and several other dining options. Not all of them are that good but I'd say this is a quality plaza in Chinatown.

Saba C.

Yelp
So glad I found this hidden gem. Definitely my new go to place for Asian dining when I'm Vegas. Tired of the food on the strip, over priced and poor quality. I ate at Orchid Vietnamese one night. And the second night, Weera Thai. The Bingsoo store (Korean shaved ice with fruit) was amazing! Tonight, I'm going to try the Malaysian place. So far, every restaurant there was excellent.

Ellen S.

Yelp
Good variety of stores Luv weera thai Luv pepper lunch japanese Luv orchid Vietnamese Sweet honey desert

Gina F.

Yelp
Such a great plaza, scuppered by parking. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot, it just took almost 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot at 8pm on a Sunday. 85 degrees and Miniso are huge draws, and several of the restaurants looked so good. But we won't be back with a car because of the parking alone.
google avatar

Annalene C.

Yelp
My friends and I come here a little too much when we're craving good food! The area is clean and the shops look well-kept. Parking isn't bad at all and the plaza is actually fairly easy to find. I was actually fairly surprised at how easy it was to park there despite Chinatown not having the best parking situations.

Yelp
A wonderful addition to Chinatown Vegas. Very classy and the Eatieries are amazing
