Donut Factory Will Open In the U District Soon | Eater Seattle

"I'm excited that a sugar rush is coming close to campus: after serving its popular donuts, cakes, and ice cream sandwiches in Lynwood for five years, Donut Factory is readying a new location near the University of Washington, right around the corner from Sharetea in the spot formerly occupied by Ly’s Donuts, with a mid‑May opening and a possible late‑April sneak preview according to founder Marc Sapatin. They're known for decadent items like glazed and cinnamon crobars (a flaky croissant‑doughnut hybrid in bar form), mango‑filled jelly donuts, and Instagram‑worthy ice cream sandwiches drenched in Fruity Pebbles and Oreo crumbles; with more than 80 varieties to choose from they’ll also introduce new flavors like an ube‑flavored doughnut and will keep shaping doughnuts into letters and shapes—likely making the purple yam–based ube into U’s or W’s for Huskies fans. The new 15–20‑seat space has been upgraded with more outlets and WiFi for students, will serve Pegasus Coffee espresso and ice cream floats as summer arrives, and marks the brand’s first official expansion despite having served the nearby UW Medical Center on contract for years." - Gabe Guarente

Google
As my first time ordering boba tea and I enjoyed it much. I tried the classic iced milk tea, half sweet, with boba. It was refreshing and delicious. Compliments to Ava who was friendly and gave great service. They have a game table and we enjoyed a game of chess while we cooled off. Plenty of nice spaces to chill out including tables, stools, and a lounge area. I recommend trying this shop if you are looking for a delicious drink.

Google
Absolutely fantastic! This was my first time visiting Sharetea Lynnwood, and I was genuinely impressed. The place is clean, welcoming, and has a great atmosphere — perfect for hanging out or just grabbing a quick drink. Their bubble tea selection is incredible — so many flavors and combinations to choose from! The quality is top-notch, and you can really taste the freshness in every sip. The staff were super friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain the menu and make great recommendations. Whether you’re a long-time boba lover or trying it for the first time, this spot is perfect for everyone. I’ll definitely be coming back!❤️❤️❤️🥤👍🏻

I had a very positive customer experience from Jason to Sofia and Asa! They all friendly and kinds the drinks are amazing

Google
Recently, I went to buy Boba milk tea several times, and my clover App didn’t increase the points. Ask the clerk to enter it manually every time. I feel that the store is not very honest about the policy of ”buy 10 get 1 free“. I‘m very disappointed about this. Yesterday the store employer told us, they don’t know how to manually add point. So I just lose two points for no reason.

Google
Staff was amazing! Fiona is so attentive and made ordering so fun! Sharetea is always good. But the staff at this location are the best

Hanna C.

Google
This location is the best! Sharetea is my go-to for bubble tea in the area and I always love going here. Friendly staff, and the drinks always come out pretty fast. I get the classic green milk tea with pearls. The tea is very strong and aromatic.

Google
Update: Came back here today to give them another try… I ordered two Ginger Milk teas 30% sweetener and this time they were much better then my previous visit. The service was quick and efficient. I was disappointed that they did not have Jasmine tea… what Boba shop does not serve Jasmine?

Felisa Z.

Google
This is the best bubble tea shop in the entire Lynnwood, Everett, North Seattle, Snohomish county area. I’ve been drinking bubble for two + decades and in three different continents. This place is the real deal with authentic flavors like winter melon, red bean, and ginger. The best part is having non-dairy options: almond, oat, and coconut. You get to have different levels of ice and sugar. The variety is crazy good, including slush / blended drinks. Order online to avoid the lineup. They also open late like a normal Asian tea shop!

Yelp
Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #62 Sharetea is one of those franchises that can really vary in quality between locations. I'm usually hesitant to visit because I find a lot of them to be below average, but decided to give this one a try anyways. Classic Black Milk Tea, 50% Sugar, Less Ice w/ Boba ($5.80) - As with most Sharetea locations, the milk tea here is exceptionally rich with powdered creamer. It's almost a little too much, with a creamer taste that almost completely overwhelms the tea, not to mention the drink leaving a film on the tongue with each sip. Still, it's smooth rather than being gritty, a sign of everything being well incorporated. Sharetea is quite generous with the toppings, giving a lot of pretty decent boba. They are very consistent in size and shape and have a good chew that bounces back quite readily. It's among the best textures for boba I've found in a US based Sharetea. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 I found this Sharetea to be one of the better locations I've been to. There are other boba shops in the area that I'd choose over Sharetea, but it's certainly not a bad visit. Bathrooms - IIRC one unisex room

Yelp
Cute tea spot. I enjoy this location because it's not usually too busy, and they have fun games you can hang out and play while you enjoy your tea. They have a large variety of drinks to choose from, and you can get half cups as well. They also have alternative milk options. Recommend if you like bubble tea. There's something for everyone. My faves are classic and Taro!

Yelp
Ordered a hokkaido milk tea and it tasted like coconut. Like they used coconut milk? We've been ordering it since they opened their store in Redmond Town Ctr. and it did not taste like that. Their matcha milk tea is not creamy at all. Last time going to this branch. Plus, their employees look unhappy being there.

M O.

Yelp
Went into the store midday due to a promotion sign on the street in front saying coffee milk tea was $3.50. The employees said the promo was over but they hadn't removed the sign yet. They would not honor it and said there was no workaround or manual way to do so. Very disappointing and false advertising!
google avatar

Kristene S.

Yelp
Always a solid boba option if you can't decide what you want, so many options! I love their dog series. I'm not sure if they still have it, but they had a husky, golden retriever, and another drink that had lots of toppings (aka double QQ happy family). You can order ahead for pick up if you're in a rush, otherwise expect to wait a little since there's normally a short line. There's a few tables inside and some games to play and plenty of parking.

Yelp
Sharetea never disappoints. We got the Kiwi Fruit Tea and the Thai Tea Ice Blended, our usual, and it was tasty, as always. I got my Kiwi Fruit Tea with the tapioca pearls instead of the aiyu jelly. And I love how Sharetea is never stingy with their toppings. Service was quick and very friendly.

Yelp
So good! The staff could fix their attitudes but I won't hold it against the place as most of the staff are teenagers haha. The drinks are great and flavorful! The place has a modern feel to it, perfect for instagram stories and there are many fun games to play with friends while enjoying your drink!!
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite bubble tea place. The boba is softy and chewy how i like it. They match your sweetness level, so the drink isn't too sugary.
google avatar

Kristine G.

Yelp
Sharetea is one of my go-to bubble tea places! Love their creama and ice blended series!
google avatar

Holly S.

Yelp
Jason is the best! He helped us out even when he wasn't available. This location cares about their customers, and I appreciate that, even more than how delicious their drinks are. Amazing people, delicious drinks!
google avatar

Fiona V V.

Yelp
Love sharetea! Even though I don't like going there because I see people I prefer not to, I still go, because their golden retriever 50% sugar less ice is the BOMB.com. Also if you feel like balling on a budget, sharetea is one of the boba stores on the cheaper side around Alderwood. Service is great!!!! I love locking eyes with people I don't want to. It really brings up the ambiance.

Marietta D.

Yelp
This was my first time at Sharetea, and I loved it! Elaine, Katie, and Sofia were so friendly and helped me pick the Taro Ice Blended--it was delicious. The whole place is great, from the cute window art to the organized interior. I'll definitely be back for matcha Monday :)
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
I ordered a peach green tea with aiyu jelly and adjusted the sugar level to 80%. It was so good! The sweetness was perfect and I love the aiyu jelly texture. The staff was friendly and I got my drink fairly quick. The store is spacious and has lots of tables and games. Parking is easy and accessible.
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
Love this place! Great customer service and great drinks! If you are looking for a sweet comfy place with tasty drinks this is the place! We recommend!
google avatar

Steven L.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Share Tea locations! All the employees are always super quick with making the drinks and always follow instructions perfectly. The location is extremely busy pretty much all the time, so I would definitely recommend ordering in advance online. They have a clover online ordering system which will save you some fees from the other online sites. The pick up area during COVID is in the back right of the room. You'll want to stand next to the table blocking the rest of the room and wait for an employee to notice you. They'll hand you your order.
google avatar

Sitara M.

Yelp
Glad to see this place stay open through COVID times. One of our favorite go-to places for bubble tea. My favorite is the traditional milk tea boba. Recently, I tried their mango and icecream drink with lychee jelly. So yumm! I also like that they allow for little customizations with less sugar and ice options. Would be nice to see decaf milk tea options on the menu as well. I really love the milk tea boba but end up having to skip it on days I want to avoid caffeine. Was at the store recently during the pandemic. They do a good job ensuring people maintain social distancing inside the store with markers on the floor and seating areas blocked off. The staff are wearing gloves and are restricting the number of people who are inside the store at any given time.

Fran M.

Yelp
I always get less ice and a few times I have felt they always gave me more than "less ice". But this time it was ridiculous. I took a few sips and my drink was gone because of how much ice they put in. Luckily I live close by and asked them to remake it. Look at the amount of ice they had put in. Either they need to be retrained or they did not read my order.
google avatar

Aaron L.

Yelp
Hear me out when I say that most Sharetea locations are usually just okay or meh BUT this location in Lynnwood never misses. This is one of my go to spots locally because they are consistent with their drinks. My personal favorite is the Mango Green Milk Tea light ice 50% sugar. I'm pretty much a regular here.
google avatar

Cindy F.

Yelp
COVID-19: social distancing marked line, cashier barrier, staff wears gloves and mask. Limited seating due to COVID. Shared parking lot in a small plaza facing streetside. Atmosphere: fast paced and small cafe setting. Service: quick service. order and pay at the register, wait for your order number to be called. The drinks do not come with any toppings--toppings are extra. I love how you can customize ice and sugar levels here. I always feel that at any place 100% sugar is too much--you can never go wrong with 50% sugar! No extra costs to adjust these. Mango Green Tea: made with really blended mango--you can see the bits floating about! Tea flavor is light and is overpowered by the sweetness of the mango. I'm pretty sure champagne mangos are used in this--I do wish it was slightly more tart. I go 50% sugar and it was still pretty sweet. Boba: slightly smaller than your average boba pearls but is still satisfyingly chewy and lightly sweetened.

Yelp
Best best best Sharetea location. I've tried from the North to South in WA, Tulalip down to Vancouver WA, every single one, this was the best-tasting one. I came here so much that even the boss recognize me. I always order the same, Oolong boba milk tea with no ice and no sugar. The milk content is excellent, other locations tasted watered down. The fragrance of the oolong is excellent. Boba is not chewy and perfectly cooked. The boss was surprised I tasted the difference between different Shareteas, since they used the same ingredients. But now I know because they continuously cook new boba and new tea throughout the day. The place is clean and tidy. Games around to let people hang out. Best and favorite haretea.

Yelp
This Lynnwood location has definitely improved since a year ago. It's my favorite spot for bubble tea in the area. Drinks are consistent and they are efficient even when it gets busy. The owner always works hard and welcomes the customers when he's around. I came today on a snowy day when most businesses were closed and it was still open. I enjoy the hot drinks on colder days (but fyi, the cup is slightly smaller in size for the hot version)
google avatar

Lianne E.

Yelp
Clean and very friendly customer service. Great menu selection. First time trying any type of Boba drink since moving to Washington and Sharetea had a lot of great reviews, so it was obvious that we had to check this place out. Zoey has her classic signature drink, the Classic Milk Tea with very generous amounts of boba. I myself decided to get out of my comfort zone and decided to be daring...lol! I went for one of Sharetea's favorites, the Strawberry Ice Blended w/ Lychee and Ice Cream. Let me tell you....it did not disappoint! We can't wait to bring the hubby along with his credit card on our next visit.
google avatar

Derk B.

Yelp
A very complicated menu and ordering process. So many combinations and tweaks. I ordered the coffee milk tea with 50% less sugar. Tasted good but had a few chunks of mix that hadn't disloved all the way. Not my "cup of tea", but I gave it a try.

David W.

Yelp
this is the result of someone (boy) who made 3 of our green tea drinks last night. it looks like this like they didn't have enough tea and diluted our drinks with water and this is with less ice. poor service and it wasn't even busy.
google avatar

Ciara L.

Yelp
I have been going here since they opened. Since then, they are constantly improving. The customer service is always good, and employees always greet people with welcome faces and are eager to serve their customers. Since there is only one register, sometimes the wait can be a bit long, but I've never waited an unreasonable amount of time. On an average day, the wait is less than 10 minutes to both order and get the drink.
google avatar

Jenz R.

Yelp
It was amazing! The order was like 15 early which was Fantastic (I needs dat bubble tea ASAP ya know?) All of the tea was fresh-- like my boba was still warm. The only thing was a little annoying was that I only asked for mini boba and the gave me regular and mini boba. But it was fine! I didn't really seem to mind ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ All in all it was very good tea 10/10 would recommend!
google avatar

Crystal H.

Yelp
I have been craving a nice boba tea and Sharetea hit the spot. I should have gotten the person's name, but he was super helpful in telling me the different between their fresh milk and milk tea drinks. I wanted something with a lot of boba and he helped me out. I got their Boba Fresh Milk and he even explained that is practically 50% boba. He recommended going for 80% sweetness, which I did, but I found it a bit too sweet. The drink instead was basically milk and brown sugar, so if I order 50% sweet, I think it would have been perfect. Regardless, this drink hit the spot and I think about it often..
google avatar

Kathy X.

Yelp
Sharetea is one of the best and most consistent boba places in Washington (in my opinion), but this location is superrr slow. Last time I came in there were rows and rows of people waiting, definitely order online! I usually get the Oolong Crema or Oolong Milk Tea, both super delicious. But this time I tried the Handmade Fresh Milk Taro (because it doesn't have caffeine, and I did NOT need caffeine that late in the day lol), and I was pleasantly surprised. The drink tasted super fresh and had the perfect amount of sweetness.
google avatar

Nina H.

Yelp
This Sharetea feels different than other locations because it feels overwhelming and loud, but the drinks are still good. The posters and decor remind me of the shops on the Ave, it feels very young and collegial - not as clean, modern as some of the other shops. During COVID-19, I've found that I've had to speak louder/yell/scream at people sometimes because they can't hear me... this felt like the case when I was trying to order. The music was super loud and the people inside the tea shop were also adding to the chaos. Other than that, no complaints about the drinks! I love my usual handmade taro with fresh milk and tapioca.
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
Edit to add: I always order the coffee ice cream drink with added boba :) It's very sweet if you like sweet things!

Lily B.

Yelp
it just tastes bland dont get taro 30% sweet thats all i really have to say but because of the 85 minimum letter thing i need to say more i regret going i just overall did not enjoy my experience and if i really was a bitch i wouldve asked for a refund and this is how im getting my anger out i threw away my boba (dont take this seriously im just mad i messed up my order) ((im serious when i say DONT GET TARO 30% SWEET))
google avatar

Carolynn T.

Yelp
I mean, bubble tea is great. I typically bounce between the classic pearl and the mango black tea depending on the weather (the classic pearl is too rich and heavy for really hot days), but haven't tried the mango at this location. The classic pearl with black tea (regular ice and sugar) is served with a generous scoop of the pearls. They're a nice soft consistency with that wonderful chewy texture. I've had them too soft and I've also had them too firm, but Sharetea has always had them just right. I may try asking for a little less sugar next time, maybe half sweet. The regular is a bit too sugary for me, but it's just my personal preference and I would suggest sticking with the regular if it's your first time. The only negative is that there isn't enough ice to cool the drink! Even the regular amount of ice melts before the drink is cold, so by the time the ice is gone the drink is still room temp, maybe a little colder. Overall though, pretty good! Will have to try other flavors next time!

Brian L.

Yelp
Best boba tea shop north of Seattle. Great selection of boba teas. The place is nice and cute, while the staff are friendly and efficient. The owner seems very smart and friendly, and provided great recommendations. Will visit here every time I go north.
google avatar

Victoria H.

Yelp
My go to boba spots that are consistently good and at a normal cost for the drink. The nice part about this business is that they have multiple different locations throughout the nation.

Julia D.

Yelp
the workers are all so nice and the service is great and super fast and my drink order has never been bad!
google avatar

Jane S.

Yelp
I'm addicted to this Sharetea location. It's consistently good and fast. Their boba is always fresh and chewy. I usually get the boba milk tea or the QQ happily family tea. But I've also tried their green tea, kiwi peach tea with aiyu jelly, blended drinks with ice cream, coffee milk tea, etc. ALL GOOD! I don't know what they do to the drinks at this Lynnwood location but this spot is the best Sharetea in the Seattle area. If you're an addict like me then make sure you use the buy 10 get one drink free via clover app.
google avatar

Addi T.

Yelp
Great service, very nice decor, and the bubble tea is great... But i don't know if it is just how they make it, but they left the fruit pulp in my drink and it tasted like i was eating hair... So tell me? Is it just how they make it or...?
google avatar

Jovi P.

Yelp
If you haven't been to Sharetea, you should definitely try it! It's my favorite place to get bubble tea, and this Lynnwood location has been my favorite so far! Their drinks taste so good, and fresh. Sometimes other bubble tea places tend to be powdery with no flavor. You'll notice a huge difference with their tapioca too! The pearls have the perfect consistency, and are coated with flavor. I love being able to modify how much ice/sugar I want. I usually order honey milk tea w/ pudding + tapioca, less ice and less sugar OR wintermelon fresh milk tea w/ tapioca and less ice (you can't modify the sugar amount for this drink) Super quick, and friendly service!
google avatar

Vy P.

Yelp
Sharetea is a really good boba shop that I've found to be consistent anywhere you go. I recently moved to WA from CA (where Sharetea is pretty dominant) and I've been feeling some boba withdrawals. After a couple of mediocre boba experiences around, I figured I'd just go back to a Sharetea. This is my first Sharetea experience I've had in the state. LOCATION & PARKING // I don't know if it's just me but the streets around here at night at DARK. It is extremely difficult to drive around here unless you have amazing night vision. We came around 9:30pm (they close at 10pm) and the plaza was just super dark in general. Parking was fine. SERVICE // So... I originally ordered a WINTERMELON TEA with BOBA. At other Sharetea locations, I've been able to lessen the sweetness level of this drink. When I tried to do that here, they said they couldn't do it. I don't necessarily blame that if that's the general rule but I've never had an issue with that. My issue was the staff member who told me she couldn't do that and then proceeded to stare blankly at me. When I said, "That's okay, I'll order something else" and looked at the menu, she interrupted me and acted standoff-ish and annoyed for the rest of our interaction. Um... okay. It wasn't absolutely horrible but it was weird enough that it stood out to me. DRINK // Ended up with a CLASSIC MILK TEA (BLACK) with BOBA 80%. Can't complain. It's your standard milk tea! OVERALL // 3.5 stars Maybe I need to come back and check it out more. The drink and store itself were good but I don't know. It just felt off. Hopefully, my interaction with the staff member will be better!
google avatar

Travis H.

Yelp
The drinks are really good. Pretty fast service I ordered online. Small store but it's nice and clean. Nice spot to get boba.
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
I don't love share tea but this spot is pretty good if you are a share tea lover or want some decent boba milk tea. Friendly and quick staff, clean new spot with lots of parking. I just don't like the taste of share tea specifically but it's not bad. Depends on your taste.
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Busy place and fairly efficient service. However, organization of order tracking is lacking and staff interactions were meh. Most notably, however, the blenders they use have dull blades and thus create chunky smoothies. For a place that prides itself on milk teas and blended drinks, blade sharpness and timely replacement is a must. Non-smooth smoothies are a problem and ice chunks are never welcome. That being said, I may give it another try to see if things improve.
google avatar

Mandy G.

Yelp
I'm from Taiwan and I've been buying drinks from Sharetea over there for 10 plus year. I visited this location with my husband last weekend, and was not really impressed. Not bad, not great, just ordinary. I ordered the fresh milk tea with boba, the milk tea was really dark (indicating not enough milk was added) and the boba was just ok, not as tasty as it can be. The trend now for boba is to cook them in black sugar, it just gives the boba more of a caramel flavor and more depth. I couldn't really taste the black sugar here, maybe Sharetea does not cook their boba this way at all. I don't know. A tip here, for health conscious people. They only add real milk to their drinks in the fresh milk tea section on the menu. For everything else they add non dairy creamer (including the fancy sounding Japanese milk teas). It's not great for your body.
google avatar

Ha T.

Yelp
The milk tea here is some of the best. They don't skimp on the milk or the flavors. The ice blended drinks are well-mixed and beautifully smooth. The fresh taro could use a little more blending. The egg pudding, my favorite, is very silky in texture. There is a crazy amount of customization you can do for your drink (sweetness and ice levels, toppings, etc). So once in a while, they might not get my order right 100%. But that's ok. I'm not perfect, either.
google avatar

Toan P.

Yelp
Love their Happy QQ Family drinks! I like how they change the management now. You can customize your drinks by remove some toppings you dont like and substitute for something else with free of charge. You can always order online and pick it up. Much faster and more convenient. Cashiers are nice and drinks are good.
google avatar

Huong N.

Yelp
The double QQ happy family drink with half sugar is tasty. Reasonable price. Good portion. Will be back.
google avatar

Constance B.

Yelp
I love Sharetea! I was really excited to hear that this location opened up! It's across the street from the mall near Kohl's. I went on a Saturday evening. There were a lot of people working, which was nice! I ordered a ginger milk tea with boba and lychee, regular sweetness and ice. I waited about 5 minutes, which wasn't a big deal, since there were some large orders before me. Their boba is super good and the perfect texture! And I love love love their lychee jelly! The milk tea itself was a little too sweet for me, so I think I'll order it less sweet next time. There was a little bit of the ginger in my drink, shredded, but I was into it! 10/10 would tell everyone to go!
google avatar

Pam A.

Yelp
First Sharetea location in Snohomish County! The soft opening kicked off yesterday. The drinks we ordered were pretty consistent with other locations. It's nice to have another boba option north of Seattle. Don't bother calling the business because none of employees will answer the phone. The phone rang nonstop and the employees seemed more interested in talking to their friends who were there.
google avatar

Genny V.

Yelp
My go-to for good bubble tea. I usually go for the Taro Blended with pearls. They have many options on how you want your drink prepared (ie low sugar, light ice, extra toppings etc). Convenient location, efficient service and they also deliver given today's environment.
